Guest : I wish to share a worse ever experience on Etihad on 10/09/16 flight from Toronto to Abu Dhabi (My Airline Ref# MKIDJS) which was delayed more than 5 Hours and passengers were in the aircraft. Etihad offered no refreshments whatsoever, water or anything to the passengers before 5th Hour when they finally decided to help passengers with one sandwich! We understand that Technical issues may happen but Airline should be better prepared to handle situations like this, and a proper compensation to be offered to the passengers affected by the situation similar to emirates who offer complementary tickets. I landed in Baton Rouge the same night and found that I lost one of my baggage, Brown Color Mont Blanc make. I had checked in two baggages, and one is completely misplaced or lost. The security clearance was done in Abu Dhabi and I had last seen my baggage in Abu Dhabi. Baton rouge airport gave me a lost or delayed application, stating that sometimes the baggage comes on the next flight. I have returned to India on 10/02/2016 (October 02, 2016). Till now there has not been any response from Etihad or American Airlines. Etihad is a reputed airlines and I hope they keep up with their reputation.

I faced similar issues with etihad... not only did the flight got delayed (even when I had confirmed the status of flight before travelling from Dubai to Abu Dhabi)... but they also transported my luggage to some other country and offered me peanuts for compensation. Anyhow, I found an online ombudsmen network and they were able to put things right and didnt charge me anything. i recommend you talk to alex on www.reclaimrights.com

Hi I travelled to United States on 09/11/2016 (September 11 2016) from Hyderabad to Baton Rouge, Louisiana via Etihad. I landed in Baton Rouge the same night and found that I lost one of my baggage, Brown Color Mont Blanc make. I had checked in two baggages, and one is completely misplaced or lost. The security clearance was done in Abu Dhabi and I had last seen my baggage in Abu Dhabi. Baton rouge airport gave me a lost or delayed application, stating that sometimes the baggage comes on the next flight. I have returned to India on 10/02/2016 (October 02, 2016). Till now there has not been any response from Etihad or American Airlines. Etihad is a reputed airlines and I hope they keep up with their reputation.

The Airways confirmed us to deliver the baggage on next day . .but although the baggage has arrived at Kolkata Airport (CCU) before 8 PM IST but no one took the ownership to deliver the baggage to my residence. No one is picking up the phone given by Ethihad staff. I never saw such a unprofessional air line staff in my whole life. I will recommend to all my friends & relatives . .not to travel through Ethihad Airline. if Airline told us to collect the baggage from Airport, I could have plan for that. We traveled fr om SFO to Delhi via AUH on the 20th of September. One of our bags did not arrive. Since then we are been harassed by the Etihad's staff, their approach too our loss has no importance. Every time we try to reach out to them, their phones are impossible to get through and even at all they some how pick up, their response is dry and not cooperating. They will say "we don't have any information till now, we will update you once we get your bag". This is absolutely unacceptable, our baggage lost id is DELEY24945 and we have no idea wh ere our bag is till now, it is about3 days now.

If not, please send us the PIR reference number and we will help accordingly *Gill Guest : I recently travelled with my wife from Islamabad to Tehran via Abhu Dhabi. I asked at the check-in counter a total of three times if my luggage would go all the way to Tehran but, upon arriving in Tehran, both mine and my wifes luggage did not appear and we were informed it might have been lost. We had to wait over 48 hours to get our luggage back and this caused a major delay in our travels as we intended on leaving Tehran straight away but instead had to hang around waiting for our luggage. I have flown literally hundreds of times and this has never happened before; I am very surprised, and pretty disappointed, that Etihad let me down like this. I have heard nothing from you guys re compensation - what do you propose? Etihad Airlines can be considered as the "LOOTERS ON THE SKY". Because of mu bad luck, I could not get an Emirates or Qatar flight and the only option was Etihad. I was asked to show a yellow fever vaccination certificate at a Brazilian airport and because I did not show them they did not allow me to board. I had to pay no-show penalty to change the date of my journey as well. This fact is NOT AT ALL stated in their "terms and conditions" and they have no right to check this document. The only authority to check your vaccination certificates is the immigration authority of the destination country. If you have complaints, I strongly recommend legal actions against them rather than wasting your precious time complaining directly to them. If possible, avoid buying tickets from these thieves, opt for high quality service airline such as Lufthansa or British Airways. ETIHAD AIRWAYS GOT THE WORST CREW AT THE CHECK-IN COUNTER !!!!

Dear Etihad Airways, My baggage was mishandled by your staff at AUH I flew from LHR-DEL on 02/09/2016 with my wife. All my check in bags were delayed(4 nos). Your delayed baggage team refused to help or provide us any update for over 72 hours. It was an horrific affair to track our own check in baggage. And my son had to spend his entire day at the mercy of your baggage team to get the baggage sorted. My son had to fly in to Delhi to receive the baggage from your team on 06/09/16. And we received our last piece of baggage on 11/09/2016. We would like to claim compensation to the tune of Rs 15,000/- for the flight fare from DEL-BHO return flight. I travelled from Manchester to Abu Dhabi International Apt then on to Sydney, unfortunately my bags did not. I was advised my bags were still sitting in Abu Dhabi International Apt. They took 2 days to arrive so I had to purchase clothing whilst I was waiting form my bags. Does the airline reimburse me for my clothing I had to purchase>

I flew from BOM to AUH this morning. I did not received my bag at airport i went to claim my bag at baggage services they asked me to wait as they said the is arrived but it is lost in the transit (informed by CSA mohammed) i waited for 1 hr still no information about the bag later he put a report against my bag and promised me that the bag will be delivered at my place in few hrs he took my address and my phone number. Its been almost 8 hrs i hve no infomation about my bag neither anyone is answering my call on the number given to me for inquiries.
