#Ethiadairways Landed in Abu Dhabi nearly 24 hrs ago and my whole checked in baggage was lost by them and #5starserviceairline promised me to get it delivered next morning . No updates till now 09 Nov 2016 time 0945PM except one call that they will update me. No clothes no belongings to carry on my so called business come tour to Abu dhabi . Put a big question mark on the gradation of them calssified as 5 star . Is anybody from #Ethiadairlines listening . Talk to somebody in the evening for 25 mins and they started all this rubbish what customer service vendor on the road side will provide . After talking to them for 25 mins and literally wasting it nobody was ready to speak on behalf Ethiad Airlines and take any responsibility. #Disgusted #worstexperience #Fivestarairlines #Ethiadairways

Guest : On Nov 4, I travelled with my family (wife and 2 kids) fr om Dallas to AbuDhabi via Etihad (Booking ATXEIM) and fr om AbuDhabi to Pune via Jet Airways. I have had checked in 8 baggage’s in Detroit via American Airlines which were tagged until Dallas. On doing boarding for next international flight at Etihad Counter, the officer (Justin S) announced my name where he told me an issue about my baggage’s since American Airlines only tagged them until Dallas and not until my final destination, Pune, India. To my surprise, the Etihad officer, Justin told me that my baggages are being delivered at the terminal wh ere I arrived on Dallas Airport. On request, the Etihad officer regenerated new 8 tags for my baggage’s and sent a another officer down to the terminal to identify my baggage’s and place new tags on them. Further almost after 30 min, during boarding process I reconfirmed the Etihad officer regarding my baggage’s, Justin assured me that my baggages are identified and provide me new tags stickers. He also informed me that incase bags are not delivered via current flight then it will be shipped in next flight. I thanked him and boarded the flight under the impression everything is taken care off. However on reaching Pune, India via Jet Airways, I only received 2 out of 8 check-in baggages.

You should have received the PIR reference number and from this they will be able to locate and liaise for an update. We hope you hear back from them soon, we're sure they will be doing all possible to reunite you accordingly Thanks *Gill Anil Ghorpade : Believe or not, after 23 hours of travel, one cannot expect such a frustrating experience. It took me 3 hours to get an trouble ticket raised with on-site Jet Airways Customer Service Associate, Kaustubh. I came to India for my US Visa extension stamping with my family. All of my important valuables, my wife's Indian jewelry, and clothing for entire family (self, wife and kids), shoes, jackets, kids’ food, and personal belongings were missing and was part of those 8 baggage contents. I had to attend Visa interview at American Consulate Office in Mumbai; but was missing everything to go there. The Jet Office, Kaustubh assured me that baggage will be arrived on next flight, 7 AM IST; however nothing has arrived past 36 hours. Jet Officer raised a file reference number PNQ9W13550 for the missing baggage and gave me a number to reach him next day. Trust me, I did several calls to the given number, but no one attended. I called Jet's toll free number, even the contact center didn’t have any update for my missing baggages. I'm trying to find the root cause of the problem analyzing which airline carrier missed to forward my baggages to the next carrier. Today speaking with Jet officer, Dinesh at Pune Airport, he gave me another shock stating that if baggages are not arrived within 14 days and they will be declared lost. The officer told me that they have not received any response from Etihad and until they get status they cannot say anything. Every communication is happening over email; but none of them are trying to talk with someone over the phone. Eventually I called Etihad Mumbai office and request for priority escalation for my baggages. One of the major problems I was going through that all of my family clothing was missing, Kids didnt had any clothes to wear, nor my wife had any. We had American Consulate interview on Monday and Tuesday and we were in deep pain with all of this trouble. The Etihad contact center lady sent a email note to the dept to check for my missing baggages. She said that my case should be handled by Jet and not Etihad. I got panicked and told her all my situation. Later I called American Airlines, the lady officer, Daine checked the database and she confirmed that all of my 8 baggages were delivered to Etihad and Etihad was responsible to retag them until final destination. Etihad being middle interface, they are the hub to send and receive baggages. Jet will be reponsible for final delivery to me. Diane also confirmed that Etihad had accepted and activated new tags that means they received my baggages.

In order to further investigate this, kindly send this feedback and your booking reference to socialmedia@etihad.ae our team will be happy to review this for you. *Gill Guest : Etihad airlines put you on a SPOT when you travel outside from USA. They would argue that your cabin baggage is out of size and make you buy a new cabin baggage (around $100) from a shop in the Airport (this happened at ORD airport). And they would make you leave your bag with them. My wife experienced this and also she saw at least 15 passengers were dealt the same way and a pool of empty cabin bags lying behind the Etihad counter from brand new to used. My wife had a brand new American Tourister standard carry on bag which was taken by the airlines.

I understand all international shipping rules and standard between carriers (American, Etihad and Jet); but any of the carrier companies don’t understand the pain and frustration that I'm going through. Should I consider this situation as delayed baggage or missing baggage? I had borrowed money from my friend to buy clothing for self, wife and children. I'm going through financial expenses trauma right now wh ere I don’t have anything to cope with. Who is going to pay me for these expenses. Moreover if my baggages are not received with 14 days; how do I live without clothing for next 12 days. I'm so much worried that I cannot sleep due to the stress and pain you airline carriers have given to me. With due respect I would like to escalate this situation on a VERY URGENT basis to trace my baggages; otherwise it will be difficult for me to return to USA. HOPING for a prompt action. Thank you. Believe or not, after 23 hours of travel, one cannot expect such a frustrating experience. Etihad airlines put you on a SPOT when you travel outside from USA. Our flight numbers were, EY 232 from Islamabad to ABU DHABI and EY 19 from ABU DHABI to HEATHROW. My wife traveled with my kids to Chennai from Abudhabi on 30st oct 2016 (EY238) and on arrival found that Smart TV was damaged. She contacted and etihad at chennai desk made a damaged baggage report. It is really frustrating that no one really helped and supported. Now advise that how will claim the same.

Etihad left my sister stranded at Chicago airport. She was told that she was late despite been at etihad counter 3 hours before flight. This is pathetic. Never fly this airline.

We had a flight from Islamabad international airport to London, HEATHROW on 23/10/2016. Our flight numbers were, EY 232 from Islamabad to ABU DHABI and EY 19 from ABU DHABI to HEATHROW. Our luggage has been mishandled overall and two of our main bags that we use for travel have been damaged and broken. We have tried multiple times to send email to this address (baggageclaims@etihad.ae) as given by Etihad representative on the phone but the email fails to go to this address!!

Sharon did you get a reply that was helpful? I am getting the same response with no way to check. I was offered air miles originally but now they are saying the flight was delayed due to an incident and they don't owe me comoensation. Sharon : I was due to fly out of Manchester to Abu Dhabi on Saturday 17th September on flight EY0096 at 9;10 am. When we went to check in we were told that there was s problem and our flight was delayed. We eventually flew out of Manchester at 20:40. I have contacted Ethiad about possible compensation for the delay. I have been told that we are not entitled to any compensation as there delay was caused by a security alert at Abu Dhabi. How can I confirm if there was an actual alert or is this just the airline trying to get out of paying compensation? I was traveling to Australia to visit my son who I haven't seen for over 6 months and who I won't see again for another year. Ethiad have offered air miles as a gesture of goodwill!

The Etihad baggage claim officer estimated my claim to less than 50% what I had quoted. I replied to the claim officer saying it is quite less and later I collected the receipts fr om the various showrooms from from wh ere I purchased those articles and submitted. Now neither the baggage claim officer nor the baggage tracing officer is responding to my mails. In Casablanca I got 2 bags which were with samples / display items for Exhibition but the one with all my daily needs is missing which even contained my extra Mobile (bought for using with Morocco SIM). I waited at Airport for 90 mins and then left for Hotel by 11:30. My File Reference number is CMNEY/10OCT16/0818 GMT, tag id EY132633 I hope my bag will be traced and I will received same by today evening, else I have to buy many things in Morocco for my immediate needs. Pushparaja Ramamurthy : Hi, I traveled from Toronto to Bangalore(connecting at Abu Dhabi) through etihad airways. I checked in two piece of luggage and departed Toronto on 8th of Oct and the flight # EY0140. My Connecting flight was through Abu Dhabi and flight # EY 0226. When i landed bangalore i got only one checked in baggage and the other one is missing and the airport baggage employees had no idea abt my baggage. My missing baggage tag# 7607EY606704 Until now baggage authorities in bangalore aren't able to track my missing luggage. Any help on this will be greatly appreciated. Hi Ankita, Thanks for coming to us and sharing this information. May we ask did you fly wit Jet Airways? Airlines have an agreement whereby the Airline which is the final carrier of the guest takes full responsibility for their luggage, did you complete a PIR form? *Gill

I was flying from Bangalore to Rio-De-Janerio on 8th OCT-2016 in Etihad Airways via Abu Dhabi and Sau Paulo Flight number : EY-8734- Airline PNR : LKZTIV, PNR No.: 4IXCXA from Bangalore to Abu Dhabi Flight Number : EY-191 , Airline PNR : LKZTIV, PNR No.: 4IXCXA from Abu Dhabi to Sao Paulo My baggage were checkedIN at Bangalore until Sao Paulo, but when I arrived at Sau Paulo I just got one bag and other one was missing, when I spoke to Baggage lost and found departpent at Sau paulo they said they dont have any idea about the bag. Guest : Hi my dad flew out from Manchester to Mumbai yesterday 8pm flight. His baggage however did not follow his there. After tracing using your website it has still not shown up. He is only there for a long weekend and back on Tuesday in Manchester. Bit of a disappointing trip for him. Can you please help trace or let us know the wh ereabouts of his property. Sharon : I was due to fly out of Manchester to Abu Dhabi on Saturday 17th September on flight EY0096 at 9;10 am. When we went to check in we were told that there was s problem and our flight was delayed. We eventually flew out of Manchester at 20:40. I have contacted Ethiad about possible compensation for the delay. I have been told that we are not entitled to any compensation as there delay was caused by a security alert at Abu Dhabi. How can I confirm if there was an actual alert or is this just the airline trying to get out of paying compensation? I was traveling to Australia to visit my son who I haven't seen for over 6 months and who I won't see again for another year. Ethiad have offered air miles as a gesture of goodwill! EY 315 Wallet contained Approx 500 SR, Appron Indian Rs. 1000 , Indian Driving License, SBI Debit Card,PNB Debit Card Kindly look for it as the documents are very important for me. I remember after the boarding in Abu Dhabi I lost my Male wallet Abu dhabi to Saudi Arabia flight no: EY 315, the wallet was in my back pocket and it possibly on my way to the bathroom, as it was in my pocket when i boarded the flight.
