Hi, My wife recently travelled on Ethiad - her name is Trixie Rajaratnam . She flew from London Heathrow on the 21st of last month and was entitled to 30kg allowance on the main luggage. Having enjoyed the flight, she called me yesterday from Sri Lanka to say that when she checked in, she was told only 23kg is allowed. She not only had to pay excess but had to leave number of items behind. She bought the ticket in January this year and all along we were told by the agent that the allowance is 30kg. How can you treat your guests like this............i am extremely disappointed and wish to know how this is possible and how you plan to make good of this bad experience Denzil Rajaratnam

Guest : hello my name is samdeep i was traveling from toronto to delhi with Etihad as I landed To my destination. I figured out that 1 of my 2 bags was missing. I filed a PIR at the counter and came home after around a week they delivered my back. but few of my costly items which mere sround $2500 were missing the bag was still locked but it seamed like someone tried to open the chain. i called them back but did not got any solid respond from them it just happened 2 days back. an cellphone and 2 purses were the items. This is * worst flight I ever had. They are * theives. I called them the said we gave a 23 kg bag to delivery service. I got a 15 kg bag. whoever is responsible for this i don't care. its the duty of airline to gave me my bag back as I gave them. Hi Samdeep, we're sorry to learn about this. Mohammed Qureshi : HI, Our luggage were damaged while traveling from Madinah to Abu Dhabi to Chicago. Two bags 28 inch were broken and items worth $275 lost from those bags. Attached are pictures of these bags which shows damages. Phone 773 377 1547 always sounds busy or mail box full message. Tried sending pics to email baggageclaims@etihad.ae but gets undeliverable of the the email size. This is frustrating. We are Etihad Guest members and always travel with Etihad airlines but this incident causes us to rethink traveling with Etihad. I am sure you will look into this matter and reimburse the damages and replace the two 28 inch bags. Thank you in advance. Hello, My baggage is missing at Chicago ORD airport on Feb 11th 2018 and I was given a claim number ORDEY14414, phone number 773 377 1547, email bagord@etihad.ae and told someone will contact me on the same day with the status. I have been calling and sending email but could not reach anyone. Can you please have someone call and let us know. PNR number HVEWSJ and I bought the ticket on Etihad.com. Jordan Wright : Hello. My baggage was delayed for 24 days during my recent trip fr om Manchester to Australia. I was told to sit tight and wait for the airline baggage department to contact me regarding its wh ereabouts. I waited 48 hours and heard nothing. I assumed my bag was lost for good. After ringing every day (and being on hold for 40 min +), I would speak to a member of staff, and they would arrange to ring me back later that day. So after waiting patiently, I had no call back. So, i thought I would give them the benefit of the doubt, and call back the next day. However, same story, on hold for 40 min +, no return call. I would also like to mention my phone bill was £135 due to the extensive time i spent trying to contact the baggage department. Finally, after two weeks of being in Australia, with no personal belongins and no inmformation from the air line, I was contacted to be told my bag was still in manchester and had never left the airport I was flew from, 2 weeks previous. However, this information took me to take it upon myself to message the airline over facebook. Only then did I start getting reasonable answers (thank you Etihad Facebook team). I was then told the suitcase would be flown over to Sydney and delivered to the address I was staying at. So after being in Australia, for 3 WEEKS AND 3 DAYS, I was reunited with my bag. This was very frustraighting as I was only in australia for 7 days after this. Before I was reunited with my case, I had to buy necessities whilst in Australia as I wasn't to know whether I would be reunited with my bag at all. Therefore, a large amount of money went on replacing certain items I would need during my holiday. As I am now back from my holiday I have just filled out the claims form and uploaded all the recipets from my purchases. After spending an hour uploading these recipets. The page does not work. A white page comes up with "Page could not be loaded" "The link you specified does not work. This may either be the result of temporary maintenance or an incorrect link." This is very frustraighting as I do not feel it is necessery for me to have to go through this extensive claims from due to an error by the air line. I know these things happen, however I was left in the * without any information during my trip which added stress and frustration to my holiday which was meant to be a time for me to relax. Guest : Am travelling from Chicago to Mumbai after several hours of delay and finally reached Mumbai but my bags didn't reach the destination.Baggage service people of Etihad in Mumbai airport said ill get my bags in two days will be mailed directly to my place in India. after receiving my bag they have stolen 3 expensive items HP spectre Laptop (1399$), MK handbag (340$) and iPhone ($700). And also customer service people in Mumbai near baggage allowance are very rude, impolite and haven't seen such a customer service in my life. I have al documented proof of items and that was crystal clear Mumbai Etihad baggage people had stolen my Laptop and other items and when I called up they aborting my call after speak out my details about lost items in baggage. Personally, I find it hard to believe that somebody ACTUALLY put their Laptop and even more so their iPhone in their checked-in luggage...

As soon as we got one of our two suitcases from the carousel in FRA, we noticed that it had been damaged (cracked). We took photos and immediately reported it to the Etihad desk. After a few days, someone from Dolfi got in touch with us and asked us to send her our flight details. After another week, we received an email from Dolfi1920 offering to replace our Samsonite suitcase with something that's smaller. In addition, the email did not even contain pertinent information like the brand of the new suitcase and the volume weight which we had to research ourselves using the photo she attached in the email. I don't think anyone in their right mind would find this offer satisfactory. I must say that this is quite disappointing and not at all the kind of customer service we were expecting from an airline such as Etihad. After some research though, we found out that Dolfi is just a 3rd party contractor. Is there someone whom we can contact with regard to ur issue directly from Etihad? I do not have a file reference number. So I could not apply for the damage claim that I received on the homepage. So I called Etihad and the agent told me to contact baggageclaims@etihad.ae. I found out after I left the airport that my bag was broken. The wheel did not turn and the bottom of the body was damaged. GANDHI, SUBHASH : While travelling from Abu Dhabi to JFK by your flight 101 on January 11, 2018 one of my baggage was badly damaged and my I-pad inside that baggage also got lot of scratches and damaged. I have already shown that to your customer service at JFK immediately upon arrival and also filed a written report. That person told me that I will receive a PIR number from you within 24 hours, but despite sending 3-4 reminders I have not received that PIR number, or heard from you. When I go online to filed a Mishandled Baggage Report your system does not allow me to file that report without PIR number. So I will appreciate it if you please send me a PIR number immediately, or contact me by phone at (516)-784-7778 or (516)233-1659 for further action. Inaaya mirza Chowdhury : I flew fr om JFK to Abu Dhabi flight #EY0102 on dec 30 and then arrived from AUH to DAC flight # EY 0258 on Sunday December 31 2016. Due to an hour delay from JFK flight we were rushed to the next airbus to Dhaka and when we reached I couldn't find one of my luggages and immediately made a PIR report reference # Dacey19767 and was told my luggage was traced in Abu Dhabi and should reach within two days and they will call to notify us once it reaches Dhaka. It's been 13 days now and I still haven't heard anything about my luggage. I'm at a loss it has atleast 5-6k worth of valuables. Please help me trace my luggage everywhere I call they seem to pass the buck and try to redirect me elsewhere. I just need to find out wh ere my luggage is currently being held !!!!! Venkata Achanta : My Etihad quest number is 500000635223 and i came from JFK to HYD on 1/6 th and my baggage got missed. when i came to know that baggage are not in HYd then we raised a complaint on early hours of 1/7. Till today no updates on my baggage. Every time i called them and getting same answer that they are tracing. Guest : Am travelling from Chicago to Mumbai after several hours of delay and finally reached Mumbai but my bags didn't reach the destination.Baggage service people of Etihad in Mumbai airport said ill get my bags in two days will be mailed directly to my place in India. after receiving my bag they have stolen 3 expensive items HP spectre Laptop (1399$), MK handbag (340$) and iPhone ($700). And also customer service people in Mumbai near baggage allowance are very rude, impolite and haven't seen such a customer service in my life. I have al documented proof of items and that was crystal clear Mumbai Etihad baggage people had stolen my Laptop and other items and when I called up they aborting my call after speak out my details about lost items in baggage. Vivek Desai : I was on flight EY 101 on Jan 4th fr om AUH to JFK that got diverted to Washington Dulles. Since my final destinations was Syracruse, i was not allowed to board the same flight to JFK the next day, even though i was informed that my bags would go to JFK on the same flight. I have called the Etihad Dulles Baggage office, the general number and Eithad JFK Baggage office with my baggage tag numbers - EY165870, EY165869 repeatedly an no-one seems to know where my bags are. I called united airlines (where Eithad had rebooked me and they said for their scans Etihad has not sent them my bags yet). I am not sure if i need to file lost baggage at this point and what my case number would be for this? Obviously i have a lot of items in my bag that i am having to live without while Etihad figures out wh ere my bags and i would like to file for compensation if the bags are lost.
