Narayanan : Jeez, this Airlines is the worst I have ever seen. I travelled from Chennai to through Abu Dabhi to SFO. When I reached SFO on Nov 11 one bag was missing. The guy provided a PIR but the PIR contanins only 7 digits of the 10 digit reference. Same day someone called from Abu Dabhi and said that they located the bag and they will ship it in the next flight. Today is Nov 14, 4th day after I landed in SFO. Still the baggage is not delivered. Nobody responds in the 1-888 number and They dont call me if I leave my number. No response to mails to etihadguest. I am really pissed off and pained by the gross unprofessional and callous attitude of Etihad. They have my bag and there is no way to communicate to find out what happened to my bag. Vishwa HM : Crappy service fr om Etihad, supposedly UAE's National Airline. I travelled with my family from Chicago to Bengaluru and my baggges were missing when i arrived at Bengaluru airport. This was after the agent at ticketing counter informed me the baggages were taken care of. Finally the baggages arrived 2 days later and there was no communication from the airlines.Finally the baggages were delivered home and we have missing items in the baggage . Called the airlines and after 6 attempts the only response i can get is that "Airlines is not responsible for the missing items". If the items were in the bag when we checked in and missing when we received the baggage , and it was all the while in Airlines custody then should they not be responsible for it ? They are not willing to help at all and are avoiding all questions. Atleast any help to locate wh ere the items went missing would be a great help to identify . Would never travel with this airline again and will share this with all my friends and family so they can make a wise decision while travelling. Bassam Kamashki : Yesterday Etihad airways again failed us and forgot our luggage in Abu dhabi on our way to Edinburgh!! Flight EYES 27 9th November. It didn't happen only to us but to other 2 families; one was coming like us from Bahrain and the other family from Dammam! We were contacted hours later and were advised that Etihad don't operate daily flights to Edinburgh and we will get our luggage in 2 days !! I travelled via ETIHAD AIRWAYS Tehran-MNL PIR: MNLEY22211 Last June8 I arrived MANILA and my Baggage was lost by Etihad. ETIHAD AIRWAYS baggage has indeed very poor service, unprofessional and rude. All my personal very valueble things are in that baggage, Gifts, Branded Signature Formal Attires, Clotes, Some Watch, Wallets, Documents and Medicines that I cannot purchase in MNL. My things inside that baggage cost so much and this ETIHAD MNL thinks I am that cheap and suddenly offered me 600USD just to shut my mouth. 'That 600USD cost only my Formal coat in that baggage.' ETIHAD AIRWAYS made me beg for my own things??? Where is justice in that? ETIHAD AIRWAYS will just suddenly offer very small amount "600USD" because they thought they can shut the mouth of their passengers with that small amount. I dare ETIHAD at least if they dont have professionalism and honor to keep their words toward passengers then just take care of the baggage and dont loose it. ETIHAD ABUDHABI and ETIHAD MNL are now on the stage of pointing one another. I called ETIHAD MNL and they were saying ETIHAD ABUDHABI is incharge then ETIHAD ABUDHABI was saying its ETIHAD MNL. Too much promotion but it's all rotten because of their rude employees who doesnt have word of honor to keep and FUNNY part is that since JUNE8 Only Literally 1time ETIHAD called (incoming call) but I Literally called them 105times (outgoing calls)... and hundred emails. WHY ETIHAD AIRWAYS doesnt have budget also to call or just to escape settlements??!!!

These are mother * , they stole or throw away my Chicoo $600 stroller and now they are not attending calls in baggage claim dept and no voice mail can be dropped and i left 4-5 voice mails in past and none of the * tried to reach me. They are bloody stealers thieves basterd.

I think there's a modus,,, Since June8 my baggage was lost.... ETIHAD made me st*pid waiting for my baggage... ETIHAD AbuDhabi and Manila are same playing around..... Disgusting part is since june8 then after 4months they will offer only 600USD because they said that is really the budget.... Wow...how cheap this ETIHAD... I didn't accept... You think I'm that cheap?!!!!! In some part maybe theres a huge thief in the baggage team and they will only offer 600Usd... FYI: I'm not creating any issues because look around don't just promote lies how hood ETIHAD is but in reality look only in Manila ETIHAD many lost their baggage... PIR:MNLEY22211

Even though I have used Etihad for my travel before, our most recent experience made me to stay away from this airline from all of our future flights. The customer service will not even respond to an e mail contrary to the instructions from the ground staff at Abu Dhabi, their own hub. We missed two connection flights both due to delayed arrival of Etihad flights, and consequently lead to a series of unpleasant insidents at two airports. Even the ground staff at LHR was puzzled the way the airline mishandled the situation and orally expressed that to us. They asked us to lodge a formal complaint, and ultimately we received no response from Etihad. I will not allow my family and friends to choose this Airline from now, as we have plenty of comparable carriers with better and more responsible customer service policies, and airline operations. THINK A MILLION TIMES BEFORE YOU GOT TO TASTE WHAT WE ENDURED, ITS NOT WORTH IT. Zach Z. *************

Travelling to Canada to KHI and then KHI to AUH for 3days after 15 years.. Etihad cancelled my flight on Dec 9th 2015 at 1:50am and put me on a flight leaving @ 10:40pm on Dec 9th.. My departure from AUH is on Dec 12 @ 12:50pm.. This is not right, I have looked forward to visiting my family after a long time and now inseatd of 3 days I basically get 1.75 days. You as an airline are quick to charge me extra for cancellation or any changes I make. But I would like to know what you are going to do for me with this flight cancellation? This is rediculous and un acceptable. I need to be compansated for this. Please advise what you can do for me or put me on an earlier flight.

Will not be flying Etihad again which is a shame, because the hosts on board are great. I work onboard a ship as crew and so need to travel with 2 bags. Every one of the many flights I've taken worldwide has immediately allowed the second bag due to airline regulations or crew status. I discovered that Etihad had a 30kg policy, so realised I would most likely need to pay for my second bag unless they understood I was crew. When I tried to figure out what I would pay, I ran into trouble because the flight was booked under the old policy, but extra luggage charges are according to the piece concept. Even then, an extra bag cost $105 online, $120 over the phone or $150 at the airport. I tried calling customer service to find clarity on the matter. She couldn't tell me what I would pay,, AND she kept saying I had to do it at the airport because my 24hr pre-flight window was closed (even though it definitely wasn't! ). I gave up on her, tried to purchase an extra bag online but it then charged $140, which a) should have been $105 because it was online and b) $140 wasn't even one of the price options! I gave up on that too and decided I may as well just do it at the airport. Got to the airport before my flight, and when she saw tge second bag she told me straight that she had no idea how to charge!! Made a bunch of phonecalls, sounded confused, and wound up charging me $200 (in South African currency) for my ONE extra bag!! This is absolutely not on - even though the luggage would have been expensive anyway, this was nowhere near an amount that was advertised anywhere! I do not believe that I should have paid that price due to failure after failure by the company. Please advise regarding full compensation.

How can i claim compensation for the missing baggage & delay in delivery when i travelled on 26th June to Florenc,Italy fr om Bangalore . The flight was delayed byb approximately 40 to 45 min .I had specifically asked for the baggage delivery to Florence from Bangalolre at the Jet Airways checkin counter .The checkin baggage receipt read FCO which means Rome but not Florence. When i asked for the clarification i was told by the attendent at the counter that for sure the bagagge will be delivered to Florence .When i reached Rome i was asked to collect my lugagge by the attendent at Al-Italia Checkin counter . When i told about the confirmation from Jet ways people i was told no & i had to collect my lugagge at Rome & then checkin . I had very little time to collect the lugagge & then checkin . Even after so many requests i was asked to collect & then checkin. I was already disappointed by the service ,wrong communication to me & then started looking for mu lugagge which was no wh ere to be found . I came to the Al-Italia counter & explained about the situation the answer was they cant help & i have to register a complaint at the Lost & Found department. There was such huge queue even then i was told they caant help & unless i register the complaint i wont be able to get my lugagge . It took almost 35-45 min for me to register & then go to the checkin counter ,By the time i had miseed the flight . Fed up of all these then i again went to Al-Italia ticketing counter to explain the situation & ask for help . I was told there was no way they can help as it was a mistake from Jet airways & then from Etihad airways & hence i need to contact them for any clarifications .Etihad counter was closed for the day After long negotiation & discussion the person agreed to help as i had no option to contact Jet Airways & Etihad Airways. Finaly after very long discussion i was told i had to pay Euro 40.91 to buy the ticket .When i asked why i should be paying the money for others mistake i was told this was the only option to me else they cannot help .Finally i had to pay the money & buy the ticket as i had to travel to Florence for the meeting scheduled . I am on a business travel and had to attend important client meetings . I missed very important meetings .I do not have my lugagge .I missed the flight & then i had to pay the money for mistake from jet Airways & Etihad airways . I seriously do not understand why i should be contacting Jet aiwarys or Etihad airways when i travelling in Al-Itali flight .I doo not know what kind of an agreement you people have with each other .Attached are the relevant documents(Flight tickets,baggage missing compliant receipt,boarding passes,baggage receipts).Request you to look into this & provide a suitable resolution for the problems i faced by travelling in Etihad airways

Guest : In Etihad either you experience a pleasing service and flight or a horrible, there is almost nothing in between, my issue with Etihad airways is contacting them, in many cases, once my miles were not added through airberlin a code share and till, I emailed them many times and received no answer, I also won a Samsung galaxy phone when I entered my miles in a raffle, never received the phone and received no answer from the employees after contacting them many times through international calls or email, my brother last 3 flights with Etihad he the luggage never arrived with him and had to wait several days. Etihad definitely had a better service and they are just famous for bring celebrity to their advertisements. Hi there, we're so sorry to hear about the issues you've had in the past contacting us. ETIHAD IS THE WORST NIGHTMARE. NEVER AGAIN! I experienced flight delayed, flight cancelled, baggage delayed and Baggage LOST all these jackpot were in the same trip. My flight Bangkok-New York (Schedule: EY407-EY1997-EY1610 to arrive 08/16, Actual: EY407-EY103 to arrive 08/17). It has been 23 days after arrivals, no helps, no responses from the airline. How could all the worse cases happened to me all at once. == Flight delay == The staff were not helpful, not informative and not responsible. They keep pushing us back without any reason provided. After 6 hours of not knowing the flight status, I got a flight transfer but needed to wait for 20+ hours after and they could not provide hotel room. I arrived late by 1 day, missed the car services, and my work schedule. ==Baggage mishandle== My baggage JFKEY12744 (tag no.EY819279) I have tried calling, sending email, submitting mishandling form on the website. No one ever replies me! I lost my baggage that I carry everything in my life for 1-year profession abroad. Actually I missed 2 bags, but the first one has arrived 4 days later. The second one is still being tracked after 23 days. I did not get any compensation offer nor responsible action from the airline yet. I need to buy the whole new wardrobe for this. This is so unfair.

I lost 3 of my baggages with TAG # AA388967, AA388968 and AA388969 from my flight from Bloomington, IL , USA to New Delhi, India via Abu Dhabi on 6th Sep 2015. I haven't received and calls or updates so far from anyone.

Booked on flight LHR to Perth with connecting flight in Abi Dhabi on 21st September 2015. Getting worried now as seen recent history of delayed departures from LHR and afraid that we may miss connecting flight. When booking made, the connecting flight allowed for 2.75 hrs stop over which should be adequate but not now. As senior grandparents visiting family we can do without this worry and looks most likely turning into a nightmare!!! Travelled before with Emirates but thought we would try Etihad this time. Very big mistake.

Arrived for a trip of 4 weeks and the baggage did not come with me... Etihad ariways is a big no no.... On the first day, they did call from 971 508 9583 to my home location(based on the from-to tags on laptop) asking if baggage was missing. since then there is no information. the only thing they say is they are still tracing it.... DO NOT FLY ETIHAD EVER

BEWARE OF ETIHAD AIRWAYS AND THEIR PRACTISES!!!! I travelled with my son by Etihad Airways from London to Cochin and when I pre - booked the flight for the 15th July 2015, the itinerary was London Heathrow 21:10 - 07:05 Abu Dhabi arrival and departure at 10:40 am to Kochi. This would have given us ample time for transfers and I would not have had to write in this forum. When I received my ticket, the itinerary has changed and it was 20:35 dep and 06:50 arrival at Abu Dhabi with a 08:05 take off to Kochi. The flight had around 7 to 8 different connecting flights at Abu Dhabi and I gather the reason for the change. The flight was delayed and did not land until 07:15 plus the taxiing etc. It was a very long walk to Jet Airways, their partner, to catch my connecting flight which closes the gate at 07:45. At Kochi airport we all (UK Passengers) waited patiently for our baggage to arrive and Etihad did not bother to put our baggage on Jet airways and would have been a mammoth task for them since the distance of the 2 airlines were very far and they hardly had enough time to unload and load for all the connecting flights. I further learnt that my relative who travelled 2 days previously with Etihad had the same issue. Like all the other UK passengers, I complained to the Air India desk since there was no Jet airways staff around and that seems to be the procedure. I filled up the necessary forms and was promised my bags the following day. Meanwhile, I was attending 2 weddings and all the attires, presents etc were in our bags. On the way, we did some emergency shopping since we did not have a change of clothes. Next day around 1 pm I had a call stating that the bag was on its way and at 5pm was told that I will not be receiving my bags until the next day which is now the 18th and my bag had not cleared customs. I requested the gentleman who rand me to keep me updated which he did not!!! I decided to travel to Kochi airport to find out what was happening and once again there were no Etihad or Jet airways staff to be seen. The Air India staff was very helpful and they, including Indian customs said that this was a daily ritual with Etihad and that it has been happening for a while. Even they are fed up with the airways and sympathise with the numerous passengers. I had to buy all the necessary gifts and attires for the weddings out of my own pocket although they were in my suitcases and not available for the ceremony. Our bags arrived on the 18th evening and the driver insisted that they take the only document we had to prove that our bags had been delayed for 2 days. I have been travelling for over 35 years and this is my first experience and the first time I flew Etihad. I shall be filing a claims form and do not hold ant hope for recompense. However, I shall be posting on every forum my experience with Etihad and Jet airways to ensure no other passengers suffer the anxiety and stress that we had and hope all the other passengers who have had similar experiences do the same.

Etihad is worst flight I have travelled by. They are unprofessional and got no clue what customer service is about. It's been around 1.5 months after I have not received my luggage. A simple call from them to explain why my baggage wasn't delivered to me and an offer of some sort of compensation was an expectation I had from the world's 7th best airline! I am in the process of complaining, and I am just starting to realise that they did not provide me with baggage tracing number or a PIR after all the procedure which I went through with them!

I'm probably the latest victim of Ethihad.. Luggage lost between Sydney and Vienna .. Arrived in Vienna for 5 week holiday with hand luggage only. Checked luggage with cloths personal stuff etc all missing. Costing a fortune to replace. Day three now and still no contact from Airline re my luggage despite many attempts at contact! Never again !

Meena Malik : 57 days !! no response from Airlines on my lost bag claim ... I resolve not to travel with Etihad in future. REFERENCE NUMBER LAXEY 10497 I along with my family traveled from Bangkok to Los Angeles via Abu Dhabi on 25-Jun 2015. I was flying Business class and my bag was tagged to Economy (under my sons NAME , my son was travelling Economy) without informing me , though we had requested for all bags to be checked in under business class. On arrival at Los Angeles , my bag didn't arrive .This caused us a lot of inconvenience, stress, emotional disturbance and agony, besides having to rush to buy clothes , my entire clothing/toiletries was in the missing bag. Being in a foreign country and suddenly being stranded without a change of clothes on the day you arrive is not a pleasant experience and we hope that Etihad, being a premium airline, understands the situation very well. Its been 20 days since I have lost the bag , travel to US was for a holiday (relaxation) which turned into a nightmare with this incidence . I had to follow up on the status of bag everyday (from 25th June till 14th July) calling Etihad office in Los Angeles and Abu Dhabi, there was no response or email to inform us regularly on the status of the bag . I have filed a claim for my bag and belongings along with compensation request for all the inconvenience , agony and stress . The LA officer in charge has come back with an inconsiderate and unreasonable offer of $460, which doesn't even cover the cost of international calls I have made to follow up with Etihad (Abu Dhabi and Los Angeles) This is really unprofessional and the issue should be investigated and handled by Senior customer service representative. I am hoping that my missing baggage should be traced and return to me as soon as possible because the value of my belongings inside my luggage is costly Indian Silver Jewelry and certain other items inside which are completely irreplaceable. I request Etihad to please RETURN MY BAG as soon as possible , if the same cannot be found, compensate us for the loss, inconvenience, stress and agony. I have been asked by Etihad officer LA ,to provide more information for the Veracity of the claim . I had scanned copies of my recent replacement purchases at LA and mailed to BaggageServicesLAX@etihad.ae for records . He came back asking all previous receipts for the item inside my luggage. i except Etihad t be reasonable , who keeps receipts of purchases made in the last year of clothes , cosmetics and lingerie . This is questioning the integrity of the passenger . I just want my bag and belongings back. Its been over a week , I have written to social media of Etihad Airlines , I have not got any reply from them till date . "Worst airline, Never Fly Etihad Airways" worst ever experience of service . 48 days since my bag has gone missing - still no response from Etihad Social media or feedback team . Am actually so upset with their lack of communication. I have been sending reminder almost every two days . So unresponsive !Can anyone please reply to my mails .

I was travelling from Abu Dhabi to Hyderabad on Etihad on the 12th of August and left my Apple device in the plane. I really need it back. I need to know if it has been reported in the Lost and Found at Hyderabad. Please look into this matter as it is very urgent.

Etihad lost my luggage from Washington Dulles to Abu Dhabi on the 21st of JUL. Still don't have my bag yet - filed a claim as per the instructions from the baggage folks at the 21 day mark and no response. Can't get anyone to respond to emails or anything and conveniently - there is no customer service phone number to call. if you can provide a customer service phone number, or phone number to the claims department i would appreciate your assistance.

I have traveled from Abudabhi to Chennai on 4th of August with Jet airways and i didn't receive my check in Luggage till date. Its almost two weeks now . Its seems very fishy, and many people have the same problem when they have change over from Etihad to Jet airways. I have filed a complaint with the jet airways on arrival The ref number is MAA9W26542. Thanks Jesu

Guest : Etihad airways with Jet airways has mishandled our baggage on our flight from NY - Abu dhabi - Mumbai on Aug 13-14-15. EY 100 from NY- Abu dhabi and 9W 583 from Abu dahbi to Mumbai. At Mumbai ,out of 2 luggages recieved only 1 and other is missing and the help provided by the airline is very bad. Based on the calls we made, we were told that the BAG is not TRACABLE and require 24-48 hrs for some update. Rep at lost baggage claims will misguide you regarding the meanwhile compensation option or provide a very small amount (upon arguing with them ) till the bag is declard as lost . Then what ? We had a similar problem and both these airlines were not helpful.The buck lies with etihad. i HAVE LOGGED A complaint to etihad.I must say do not give up.I would suggest you contact etihad on this email address feedback@etihad.ae It took me four months to get this email address.I wrote a letter to their Hammersmith office in London twice as recorded delivery and do have a prrof of acceptance yet no response.So MY suggestion is do not let them go scotch free.Good luck Raj Upon couple of calls to airline based on the report, was told by the Customer service that they are not authorized to make calls or follow-up to help us in any way. This is ridiculous and looking at the Reports made by various customer all over the world, Not sure what they are doing with our luggage or some group working on stealing it. This is not helping us to fly Eithad in future and also for the agent recommending the airline has to be blacklisted Is there any authorized perosn looking at all these cases and considering the situation seriousily and future implications OR do they Care ? I would never fly with Etihad.I had a flight delay in November 2014.I have logged a complaint.I must say customer service was none existance,there was nothing to suggest that they do apply duty of care.I

I have lost my luggage last week and Etihad has been really indifferent. They just dont bother about their customers. There has been no response to call and emails written to them. Highly unprofessional and irresponsible.

My journey was from Madagascar to Mumbai, I had three flights, 1st flight HM 754 IVATO INTL, Madagascar to Seychelles on 15th jul 2015 at 1450LT, connecting flight HM 018 Seychelles to Abu Dhabi on 15th jul 2015 at 2020LT and last connecting flight EY 212 Seychelles to Mumbai, India on 16th jul 2015 at 0310LT, 3 weeks already passed, still untraced, no positive reply, cannot submit baggage claims online, showing error.
