Can anybody help, I traveled with RAM from Heathrow to Nigeria, it's been over 3weeks since one of the three bags I checked in got lost,I've sent emails, tried calling the number they gave me (Its not working) went to their office at the airport in Nigeria but non of efforts yielded anything, it's like they are avoiding people, how do I even lay claims when I can't get in touch with them at all, it's my first time traveling with them and I'm most disappointed.

Royal Air Maroc is terrible when it comes to customer services. They have denied wheelchair access to my mom who is 77 years old and walk with a cane and she lost her bag with them as well. I will boycott them ever

Wish me good luck i am just about to start a claim for my baggage being delayed for 4 days (out of a 7 day holiday). My family and I commented on how much hand luggage people were taking on the flight and now I know why ! My case got lost in London as the people in the row infront of us had to be off loaded and some bright spark took my case of as well (or instead ?). We go to morocco a lot and RAM have over the years ,cancelled a flight at the last minute, diverted us half way down the country, changed the return British airport and generally shown no interest when a problem occurs. I spent 4 days of my holiday going back and forth to the airport only to be told it was in the system. Only when I made a scene did my bag show up ! PS. Next time we are flying to Gibraltar with monarch and getting the ferry across .

Lost Luggage REF: LISAT14432 It´s a shame that ROYAL AIR MAROC doesn't even answer former passengers about lost baggage. Mine has been lost for more than 2 weeks and until now, no one cared about it. even the phone numbers available for that matter don´t work!!! I´ve already contact my lawyer to put a law suit against the company. Maybe, who knows, someone will call me back!

Lost luggage.... No communication... no response to mail.. "tracker Service" is useless as nothing gets updated... It seems that no one looks at it ever. This airline needs to be sued through the IAFA. The security issue resulting for the incredible amount of luggage lost should imply that the airline is not only unreliable but unsafe.

Do NOT fly with this airline with the intent of arriving with your luggage. Casablanca must be the black hole for luggage because luggage will not escape fr om there and it's only theory it made it there in the first place. IF someone answers the phone you will be told they haven't located wh ere your luggage is and to call back. Apparently this has been a problem for years and the company couldn't possibly care less. We're canceling return flight (disputing credit card charge for service not rendered) and flying back with a different airline.

I recently traveled with RAM. I wilL describe my experience as HORRIBLE. I flew out from Los Angeles to Casablanca on the 17th, when arriving to NY, i learned the flight was cancelled without any other info or notice online. There was no communication from RAM staff, after been stranded for 2 days, I purchased Air France ticket and went on on my trip loosing 2 days from my vacation. On the return, the flight was almost 3 hours late, again no help and had to book my family in a hotel on my own expense. This is my last time traveling with RAM and I advise everyone to do the same. I am still trying to figure out how I can get my refund. If anyone has an idea pls let me know.

Guest : It has been 3 days since RAM has lost my luggage. Like everyone else on this board, I am frustrated, outraged and horrified by their total lack of service and accountability Can anyone advise on how to go about making a claim? I am so sorry that your baggage went missing and unfortunately for 5you it happens with Royal Air Maroc. Let God be with you because you might not see it again and they will not show any interest in searching for it until you get tire. You can follow their Website or visit their office in order to file your claim but trust me you are going to find difficulty in filing your claim at the end you will get tire. If you are lucky, they will give you $400.00 as compensation for all that you have in your lost suitcase.

(continuation 2) We emailed the address on our "lost luggage" file. No response. For weeks. We called the German hotline in Frankfurt. Although they spoke German I found it hard to understand and be understood. First time they said it usually takes some time until the claim is being processed I should be patient. When I called again a week or so later and demanded to speak with someone directly in the lost and found department, they gave me a phone number that didn't exist. When I called for the third time I insisted they put me through to the lost & found department in Morocco. This time I spoke with a super friendly man whose English was so good that we were able to communicate without problems. He said the email address I had was wrong and gave me another one. He also said that I should expect having to wait for 2 months until I get a reply - "that's normal". Surprisingly, not even 2 weeks later someone replied to my email in which I had explained exactly what had happened and asked for a refund of the 70 Euros. I had also attached a scan of the receipt the shop owner in the souk had hand written for us. In the email I was asked to send the receipt and the (non existent) baggage tag to an address in Czech Republic. We had already explained that we had not received a baggage tag in the first place. But never mind. We wrote another letter, explaining the whole story again and including the original receipt for the stroller. We posted it with registered mail (which also means someone has to sign for receiving it) and it took surprisingly long to arrive at RAM's czech "office". A couple of weeks later we received a letter that we had filed our lost luggage complaint TOO LATE. I laughed like a crazy woman when reading that. We once again replied. We pointed out that we had filed our complaint the same night our plane had arrived in Casablanca with us but without our stroller. We also wrote that we would appreciate a quick and painless refund as we had gone through enough trouble already. A couple of weeks later we received another letter. They were awfully sorry for the loss and our trouble, could we please send them the original receipt and baggage tag. At this point we felt like Asterix and Obelix in "the place that sends you mad" [www.youtube.com/watch?v=JtEkUmYecnk]. ... When I googled Royal Air Maroc + lost luggage, we found a lot of postings where people complained about chaos, unfriendly and overstrained staff and no compensation (or only after a lot of trouble or even legal action). We decided to do without the approximately 100 Euros the loss had cost us (our old stroller was just a simple, inexpensive one). Someone will now probably be quick to point out that it is our fault we didn't have an insurance. But the problem here is not the 30 Euros (or less) that that lost stroller cost us. What makes me * is the way Royal Air Maroc deals with their customers and with complaints. I just don't like false promises and being lied to. I also expect more service and friendliness from airline staff on the ground and on board. I will definitely not fly RAM again with a small child (or with checked in luggage or probably not at all....) nor will I fly via Casablanca.

(continuation) We waited for a looooooong time, then we went to RAM's lost & found. The man there was very friendly but communication took some time as he only spoke french and our school french unfortunately is not super fresh anymore. He even tried to find out if our stroller would come on the next plane. He then told us to best come back in the morning. We had booked a hotel at the airport for the first night because we didn't want to travel any further with our toddler that first evening. So the next morning it was no big trouble returning to the airport. First the lost & found counter wasn't occupied, but then there was a friendly (and luckily english speaking) woman who first let me have a look around the room where they kept the lost&found luggage. My goodness this storage was full. Harry Potter's secret room at Hogwarts is a tidy closet in comparison. I am pretty sure I just could have pointed at one of the many many strollers lying there and have claimed it to be ours. But I have such an honest face I could never pull something like that off. I just smiled and asked if they couldn't just give me one of the simple ones there since our stroller was a simple one as well. But no. I pointed out that we really wanted to have a stroller for our nearly 4 week long road trip which was only just beginning. The lady looked at the lost luggage claim that we had filed the previous night and said: This claim has been filed so you are now entitled to a compensation. You can go and buy a stroller. I even made sure we wouldn't spend to much and asked for the maximum price. Less thatn 100 Euros she said. We believed her. Two days later, in the souk of Essaouira, after a little bit of asking around, we found a tiny shop that sold lots of stuff for children. The shop owner was an elder man but it was actually his maybe 12 year old son or grandson who ran it. Very bright kid which made this experience memorable. He showed us the two or three strollers they had there, folded and unfolded them, pointed out advantages - very knowledgeable! But we really wanted something small that would fit into our trunk, easy to fold and definitely less expensive. So he finally jumped on his bike and came back 10 mins later with another model that was pretty much what we needed. Of course there wasn't much room for bargaining after that but 70 Euros was less than 100 so we agreed. We flew back home fr om Casablanca and checked back with lost & found but our stroller still wasn't there. Casablanca airport was a hell hole and I recommend not to fly from there with (small) children. Check-in was even longer and more chaotic than in Berlin. And that was just the beginning. After that there was a first control point wh ere we had to show our boarding passes. Again, there was no queue but a huge crowd worse than for a super sale on boxing day. Everybody just pushed ahead and we saw people even deliberately put their feet in front of our stoller wheels to make a step ahead of us. Someone stumbled and nearly sat on our daughter who in the beginning was sitting in the stroller. We quickly took her out and let her sit on our shoulders. Somewhere behind us a baby cried at the top of her lungs. Nobody cared or let the parents go ahead with the baby. Two more controls followed, the x-ray belt and someting else, I have forgotten the purpose. We were soaking with sweat by the time we finally arrived at the gate. Back home in Berlin, the trouble with Royal Air Maroc only just began. (continues)

I would like to share our very unpleasant experience with Royal Air Maroc on our trip to Morocco in February this year. We - me, my partner and nearly 2 year old daughter - had booked a direct flight Berlin-Casablanca-Berlin. Check-in in Berlin-Tegel was chaotic. Although we arrived extra early there was already a huge crowd (not queue) waiting with carts on which the baggage was piled up high. On previous flights with another airline we were asked to come forward so we didn't have to wait with our (then) baby. This time although we asked we had to wait about 2 hours to checkin. Luckily we have a very relaxed child. At check-in we were grumpily given a baggage tag for the car seat that we had brought for our daughter and wanted to check in as our second luggage (it was wrapped and not over sized). We pointed out that we also had a stroller with us and were told to take it with us until the escalators of the plane. We were not given a baggage tag for the stroller. Maybe we were naive not to insist on one, but it was our first time with a stroller on a plane and we had heard fr om friends who had taken one on the plane that it was stored away like hand luggage by the crew and then handed back to them right at the doorstep when disembarking. So we left our stroller right there at the escalators by the plane with two men who said they were in charge. During the flight, flight attendents were very unfriendly. [Which stood out even more as all the people sitting around us were super nice and sweet with our little girl]. Low point was when food was served and we kind of surprised asked why there was nothing for our daughter. The stewardess pulled up her eyebrows and cried "but she's a BABY!" She probably meant: this person has not paid the full price for her seat. But even as a baby (not toddler), when we flew with her with another airline, we were offered food for her. (Luckily we always bring plenty of "emergency food" with us) Upon arrival in Casablanca our stroller wasn't there. Not when we disembarked the plane and not at the conveyor where the stewardess told us to go look for it. It also didn't come with the oversized luggage. (continues)

baggage delayed in Fez airport. They asked for my hotel address but next day I called and they said I have to pick up a taxi and collect it from the airport. I collected it before my flight back to the airport because I wasn't anywhere near the airport during my vacation. I spent my whole holiday without luggage. Royal air maroc asked me for receipts in my compensation claim. yeah, right...in Fez no merchant/seller issues receipts. They pretty much don't even know what a receipt is. Royal air maroc is a scam!

Royal Air Maroc is pathetic when it comes to luggage handling. I could watch the luggage being loaded in my plane flight AT412 in June 19th 2015 fr om my plane seat and it seemed the ground crew made an effort to throw the luggage on the loading belt from the trailers bringing them to the plane and I was waiting to see the treatment to be inflicted on my two bags. I finally saw them on a trailer but it went past my plane and the loading belt was removed. I assumed there was another cargo hold at another part of the plane I couldn't see. I was in transfer for a very short time in casablanca and boarded my connecting flight AT501 to Dakar Senegal. Upon landing it turned out that neither luggage had made it and since then royal air maroc missing luggage service had been unable to tell me when my luggage can be delivered or even wh ere they might be. They apparently have lost track of them altogether. This is the single most pathetic excuse for customer care I've experienced in my life from a company that claims global status... The worse is the complete lack of concern of Evernote pretence of it being shown by the royal air Maroc staff... I'll spare you the hour sitting in the plane before take off with no explanation and the sauna -like temperature in the plane. Royal Air Maroc is a joke. Stay away

Be very careful before you choose to take this airline. They would not let me leave on my flight out of Morocco because their credit card machines would not work, and they wanted to charge me $270 for 2 extra bags!!! Arrived at airport 2 hours before flight. Had 3 bags, and they required $270 for the 2 extra bags. But, none of their credit card machines worked in Casablanca Airport, so the duty manager would NOT let me board the plane. I had no other cash, atm was maxed out that day. Even though it was their fault that they could not find a single credit card machine that worked, they would not allow me out on the last flight to Madrid. I had to overnight. Needless to say, I switched to another airline. I had spoken with their supervisor, Mr. Mohamed si Agariane who even spoke with the duty manager, Mr. Khalid, and neither would let me go on their empty flight to Madrid because ROYAL AIR MAROC could not find a working credit card machine. This is the worst experience I have ever had with an airline.

Dear All My wife and I returned to Cairo from Casablanca on 06 May 2015 after having spent 5 months in El Jadida. We were traveling on economy class as the price for a single upgrade to Business class was offered at well above 5,000 Dirham by your office in Casablanca Airport a few days before our departure. We arrived at the airport 3 hours before departure but it took almost 1.5 hours for checking in as we had all in all to pieces of luggage and had to pay for 3 additional each at a price of 150, 250 and 300 EURO as well as 100 EURO overweight for each so we ended up paying 2,100 EURO in total for 6 pieces. As there were plenty of empty spaces on economy class we could have purchased 3 single tickets to Cairo for circa 1/3 of the price we paid. I can here inform that when we arrived in Casablanca 5 months earlier with Egypt Air from Cairo we paid only 600 USD for the same number of luggage. It goes without saying that we are extremely dissatisfied and we shall in the future not forget to warn friends and family including the company I work for FLSmidth which has a number of projects in Morocco for mainly OCP: Best regards Sven Helligsoe E-mail: helligsoes@aol.com

It is a shame, because flying from RAK to CMN was fine if not perfect, but to discover that my luggage did not end up in Lisbon really changed my entire view of the airline. I flew with TAP to Lisbon from Casablanca and the luggage should have gone through as I was told to go to transit in Casablanca without collecting bags.

We are from Canada and will be travelling from JFK to Casablanca for a 15 day vacation in Morocco (Feb 2015). Since RAM is the only airline that has a direct flight we would like to use that airline. Problem is I am finding it hard to read any positive reviews about the airline. Need advice, should we just book with another airline? Can live with no in flight entertainment and not great meals, indifferent flight attendants, just don't want to loose our luggage. Not concerned about theft because only clothes and cosmetics in checked baggage. Cameras etc always in carry on. Plus I can't seem to find any info on safety ratings. Would appreciate any information from recent travellers. Thank you.

if quality of service of RAM was not a priority bribery, favoritism and theft should be , in morocco any one from a police officer at the airport to a high ranking government official can get you bumped from a flight and give the seats to his relatives.

The worst airline from among a long list of companies I frequently use for international travel. My last trip was June 17 New York to Algiers via Casablanca and return on July 6. The problems were: 1. Terrible delays, unexplained by the staff until the passengers' patience runs thin. There were 2 hour delay leaving New York on June 17, and then 5 hour delay leaving Casablanca to Algiers. Very poor communication between the RAM staff and the anxious and tired passengers. It was even suspected that RAM used the Algiers-bound plane to fly "more valuable" customers (European tourists) to their destination because their plane was disabled. In general, RAM tends to lick the feet and hand of European and US customers (tourism income oblige and inferiority complex) while they show disdain and disrespect for fellow African and Maghrebi customers. 2. My baggage was missing on both trips. The bags arrived one day late in Algiers. One bag was open and three items were stolen from it, I received no apology and no compensation. On the trip back to NY, my bags weer missing also and I received them 4 days after my return. Again, no apology, explanation or compensation One bag was open supposedly by TSA (indicated by tape around it). The lock was busted. 3. On board, service is very bad. The staff never smiles, treats people with disdain and is absent during most of the trip (they either sleep or congregate in the back). The cabin becomes filthy rapidly and the staff makes no effort to keep it clean. Also, it is best to avoid going to the bathrooms because they tend to receive minimal attention from the staff. 4. The ticket NY-Casablanca is overprice mostly because RAM has the monopoly on that route. It is the only airline that flies directly to Casa from NY (and Montreal), The price was $1,400. The ticket NY-Algiers through Casablanca was $1,800. That is almost the double of what it should cost. In short: Bad staff attitude, bad overall services, bad on-board services, unclean airplanes, total lack of communication with customers, missing luggage, and severe delays. Unfortunately, I had to fly on RAM due to an emergency and I could not find any other convenient alternative due to date restrictions. For many years I have avoided RAM because of these noted problems. The services provided by it have deteriorated drastically over the last two decades. As long as RAM continues to control alone the NY and Montreal to Casablanca routes, the quality of the services will remain very poor and bad for the dignity of the clients. If you have not flown on RAM, my strong recommendation is to AVOID doing so. Any other airlines can only be better. Your dignity, peace of mind and comfort will be better off, as you can see on most reviews here and elsewhere. Please spread the word and help others avoid unpleasant surprises and a bad experience.

AVOID THIS AIRLINE, UNRELIABLE. I recently traveled to Morocco and had an amazing experience in the country. However, my experience with Royal Air Maroc was very disappointing. Not only was my arrival flight cancelled from Casablanca to Fez, but my departure flight was also cancelled. My flight from Casablanca to Madrid was cancelled, which caused me to miss my flight from Madrid to the USA. Not only did it delay me 24 hours getting back to home, but cost me $1500 + hotel to reschedule my flight for the next day through American Airlines. By using Royal Air Maroc it cost me an extra $1800 US dollars due to the unreliability. I wrote to Royal Air Maroc about my experience twice and they never even responded.
