It is now August 16. On July 19th I boarded a flight from Barcelona to Venice (90 minute flight nonstop) and Vueling Airlines "lost" my luggage. I have NEVER received any information from this useless airline and you can never get in touch with them! I have learned that this airline subcontracts the airport baggage handling to another company and yet another company is responsible for finding your 'lost" baggage. Given the scope of this problem with Vueling Airlines (thousands of bags per month!!) it is hard to imagine that this is incompetence only. You have to believe that many/most are being stolen and are ending up in some black market someplace. I wonder how many of you that have posted on this sight (236) have ever gotten your baggage back. I would guess very few. the Spanish government has been "investing this airline" apparently for several years. Why they are still operating is a mystery. There needs to be an international alert to avoid flying on Vueling Airlines.

Vueling has lost my brother's and niece's luggage. They have the worst customer service: really difficult to get through and when you do they wash their hands saying that they cannot contact the delivery company and cannot tell me when the luggage will be delivered. My brother and niece have lost one day of their holidays waiting for the luggage to be delivered. It wasn't!!!!! Tomorrow more of the same. They have nothing to wear. Vueling didn't offer any money or vouchers to buy some emergency clothes. Terrible customer services from a terrible airline. Disgusting.

I have bad news for all of you that lost bags with this airline. You have to keep calling them 3x to 4x a day, and do not expect them to contact you. My daughter had her bags lost in the Barcelona/Rome/Ibiza/Mykonos routs in ALL of the flights she took with them, that is a 100% ratio, only this horrible airline can do this! Remember, it is a low cost, bad service poorly organized airline, with no support whatsoever anywhere outside their offices in Spain. What seems cheap, becomes very expensive. This airline should be closed and put out of service. You have only two options, call them a LOT and pray.

My son's luggage has been lost by Vueling since 7-26-15. You cannot get any information from this horrendous airline and forget about a phone call. they give you answers from a sheet. They don't even bother to read the message. THE WORST. WANT THE LUGGAGE AND SOLUTION.

I was flying from Larnaca to Palermo via Rome. Due to the delay in the first leg of the flight my checked-in luggage never got transferred on the second aircraft. I filed a PIR at Palermo upon arival. This was on July 25th 2015. None of the calls made to either Vueling or the airport were answered. They have made an attempt to deliver my suitcase to the hotel on 28th of August but they brought someone else's suitcase. On their system the case now looks closed. It is now the 9th of August. Our holiday is over, and i had to buy clothes to get by. I have made several attempts to ask their local luggage handling company to help out, but they told me there is not much they can do. I am desparate and don't know if I wil ever receive my suitcase or be compensated. Vueling customer service sucks. They are a bunch of incompetent amateurs and I wouldn't recommend flying with them to anyone.

My luggage has been lost with vueling since the 2nd of August, 2015. They called me up 2 days ago in which it was found but sent it to Mykonos where it first went missing 7 days ago, I filled out the form explaining to them where I will be for the next week. For the last 2 days I have been trying to get them to send to Malta now to Budapest where I will be tomorrow. It's still apparently in Mykonos & no body can get in contact with them to put it on a flight to get to me. The whole time I have been calling their customer service & their lost luggage number to be put on hold in most cases 30 min each time to be hung up on. I have got through to them maybe 3 times in 30 times of calling. The same flight was also brought forward 3 hours without notifying anyone, I arrived to be good my flight had already left for Mykonos the next flight will be the next day from Rome. I had to pay 350 euro for another flight. Vueling said they would refund the flights & it will go into my bank in 3 days.. It's been 7 days no refund. Vueling also goes under 2 under airlines, so once this airline goes under they open they just go under another airline name. It's disgusting, my holiday is almost over & I haven't had my luggage the whole time & who knows if I will get it in the end.

Guest : Ann : I'm very discouraged with all of these posts about lost bags. Our bags have been lost since August 2, with no response from customer service or the lost bag departments, despite my many calls and emails. How can a company like this continue to exist/ Good luck Ann, it's frustrating and I hope you find your luggage. I'm worried about my daughter overseas. As the same thing has happened to her. Could you please give me the email address to Vueling as I could not see it on their website. thanks I The email address will not do you any good, if you can find one. I was emailing Vueling's partner, Iberia, for days, with no response -- one lucky day when our hotel manager was able to get through, they told her, "Ha! We never read those emails!"

We flew Rome to Catania Italy with Vueling Airlines, at the end of June. Both my daughter and my suitcases were broken into. My daughters was slashed. I begged her not to use the airline again as they were not interested in compensating us. She caught a flight fr om Rome to Spain 2 days ago and her and her friends luggage has gone missing. No help and you can't even contact them on the phone. I called from Australia and after three attempts calling Vueling and hanging up on me. I waited for half an hour. TO BE TOLD THEY HAVE NO IDEA WH ERE THE SUIT CASE IS!!! Vueling could not answer my questions instead she rudely switched the call to a recorded message on how to claim luggage. This is a joke!! Poor customer service and assistance. Clearly a bunch of crooks!

It's been already 20 days and until now we don't receive any information about my baggage. I was on vacation in Europe for more 2 weeks whithout my things and whitout any support from the Company. In one word VUELING stinks. My recent flight fr om Florence to Gatwick was delayed by 6 hours with very feeble excuse of a strong wind blowing in "wrong direction". On 27th July you could imagine weather in Florence, temperature 31 degree Celsius and wind speed of 11mph. Information about the delay was reported only after the check-in, and 15 minutes before we were supposed to board the plane! At the same time Lufthansa's plane safely landed, which is puzzling considering that there was supposedly a very strong wind. We were transferred by bus to Bologna Airport where we were ushered into the plane, wh ere we spent another hour and 45 minutes, with no explanation why. During all this time we were not offered food or drink, in keeping with their company policy, but in contravention of Regulation EC No 261/2004. When enquired with the air hostess about food and drink provision, I was told that for the past 8 years she worked for Vueling, it has never being their policy to offer any form of refreshment to passengers regardless of the circumstances. So, for 8 years Vueling ignored ENAC Regulations. To compound the problem for me, I booked British Airways flights through Opodo, who are complicit in the scum together with BA, at British Airways prices, and only at the airport I learned that I was actually flying by Vueling. Naturally, I will never use Opodo or Vueling again, and will always double check flights booked with BA, who are sister company of Vueling. Apparently this scum is regularly causing problems at the airports but is sound business for all three companies.

Guest : VUELING: Don't fly with this awful airline. When they cancel your flight for their own operational reasons, they will not even refund the ticket or pay the compensation established in Regulation (EC) no 261/2004. You have been warned. Have you tried submitting a claim with the EU? I was also on one of their flights which was canceled. As a result, I missed my connecting flight in Paris back to the States and I had to spend an extra $1,600.00 for my daughter and myself to fly back to the states! I agree, they are a god awful airline. They are a bunch of crooks and scam artists!

I flew with vueling from Barcelona to Stockholm the 2 of August. Even though me and my two friends had booked the ticket and paid several weeks earlier as well as arrived at the airport we got Stand by tickets due to overbooking. We were told to go and wait at the gate for further information if we got seats on the flight (if people going with the plane didn't show up). We were all very stressed and anxious since all information we got were that we couldn't get a flight before next morning if we couldn't go on this flight. No information what would happen to over checked in luggage and nothing about any form of compensation for missing a working day back home and having to pay for extra costs in Barcelona that we weren't prepared of. They told us that they would pay for the hotel at the airport over the night but nothing about how we would solve the problem that most of our belongings were already checked in. While waiting more and more people with Stand by tickets gathered. In the end we were about 12 people, about of two small children (aged between 2-4 years), their parents and granny, as well as a women and a man both starting new jobs the day after, which of course made them very nervous about getting back on the later. After a long wait it seemed to be some spare seats spread out over the plane and the staff of vueling gave the mum and the two kids the seats in first place. Those seats were not together and since the kids were far two small to sit by themselves it took a lot of time for the staff two change seats so that they got seats next to each other. Then they started to give us spread out seats (written down on our ticket) in the order we checked in. In the end everybody got seats, exept from two, the dad and granny of the small kids. So the family was basically splitted at the airport! Finally inside the airport one of my friends discover that the seat she were given are already taken by another passanger. She was told to go to the very end of the plane and hope there was another seat left for her which of course ment further panic and anxious. My friend luckily got another seat but another woman with a Stand by ticket who also got a taken seat wasn't as lucky. After a long time of waiting she were told to get of the plane again and go back to the airport since all the seats were taken, even though they told her earlier she got a seat. Due to all these problems with the seats we were delayed about an hour. Also my friend heard from another passanger on the flight that she and her dad had Stand by tickets the day before and had to wait overnight at the airport due to overbooking while the mum and sibling got seats on the first flight. I would be very happy to have an explanation from vueling to all these problems. Is it really logical that 12 people have stand by tickets on the same flight? And is it fair to split families, giving them seats for different flights? A lot of other airlines do also overbook the flight with 10 seats but if they get more tavellers than seats they offer a good amount of many to anyone who voluntary wait until the next flight. Isn't that a better way of handeling this problem than to forzing people into later flights?

Vueling have the worse customer service I have ever come across! No flippin joke! REALLY REALLY TERRIBLE!! Im disgusted by it! Everyone's suitcase on our flight didn't arrive at Heathrow, they gave everyone a contact telephone number for lost luggage, IT'S A * OF TIME! I've been trying to ring that ridiculous number for 2 days now, when you dial it, you reach an automated message saying it will connect you to a customer advisor then it just cuts off! The only number that works is the one where you purchase tickets surprise surprise! They make out they dont know whats going on and wont put you through to a manager. PATHETIC! This airline must be so proud of their terrible reputation...NOT!

Flying in to Nice from Venice via Barcelona, had a short layover of 40 minutes which barely gave us time to change flights, let alone the ground staff to handle our luggages. When we arrived in Nice, I had a feeling our luggages didn't get picked up... It was true. I am just confused of how Vueling could provide short time layover flights if they knew handling the luggages would be difficult! I lost one full day of my Monaco tour just trying to take care of my delayed luggages! I tried to call the costumer services but went unsuccessful, OF COURSE! It finally came the next day in the afternoon. Lost ˆ200 just for transportation in order to get my luggages back in the airport! DO NOT FLY WITH VUELING! So many similar cases happened, many with no luck of finding their suitcases! Thank God I still found mine, will NOT stand a chance anymore!

I had a booking from Rome to Palermo for 2 passengers on Vueling. They sent an EMAIL saying my booking was cancelled without any explanation. None of the contact numbers to get a refund works. Their EMAIL server rejects YAHOO EMAIL messages. I called their Spanish HQ and a rude lady me that she was not there to help me.

Day 13 - yesterday I broke down and said enough was enough. I called Vueling and told them to just compensate me for the bag and the phone bill. I explained how i am getting way to upset about this baggage situation. Long story short, they hung up on me. I waited on hold for 38 minutes to only get a chance to talk for 4 minutes only to get hung up on by their customer service. I then went on Twitter and lashed out a bit. Oddly enough, Vueling rapidly responded to all my complaints when i expressed all the problems i had been having and bad mouthing their company. I tagged them in every post. People started private messaging me about all their problems with this company as well. One lady even asked me to join a class action lawsuit she was pursuing against Vueling.I was such a relief even knowing that i was not the only person being treated like this from this company. They are like that to everyone. Well everyone that complains about Vueling losing their belongings that were paid to be checked in on their flights. Vueling on Twitter asked me to fill some stuff out or to contact this department or that department. I just fired back about all the run aruond and lack of effort of any kind on their part. This happened yesterday late morning/early afternoon. This morning i received a phone call at 6:05am from United Airlines in Pittsburgh. They wanted to let me know that my back arrived tot he Pittsburgh airport a few hours ago. It had a Urgent bag tag on it. Oddly enough, after my social media melt down, they found my bag and send it strait to Pittsburgh. United said that they will be sending out via special carrier directly to my house today and should expect the bag no later than 4pm. Now I can not say that one had anything to do with the other, but its a very odd coincidence. Be persistent people. Get creative. Get what is yours! Now if i can only get them to refund me the $400 cell phone bill the caused me to run up by calling their ignorant customer service.

NO one answers their customer service hotline and the phone line for lost luggage they gave me hangs up every time after going through the computer prompts. There seems to be a lot of lost bags going through Rome on their way to Croatia. DO NOT fly this stupid airline.

I have spend out $400 in phone calls to spain and croatia now and Vuelings customer service continues to act like this whole ordeal is my fault somehow and not theirs. I think my bag may be in Newark but Vueling refuses to call the airport to give them confirmation to forward my bag to the pittsburgh airport. they keep telling me that they will send an email however no one i talk to in the states has received any email. this is a horrible experience. it makes me never want to fly again, especially out side the US with a checked bag.

We took Vueling 4th times in 2 weeks. On the 4 flights none was less than 45mins late. Tiny little bonus, when we came back from Split (Croatia) to Paris we had a layover in Roma, our luggages stayed in Roma according to the Luggage Claim Office in Orly (Paris). So we opened a file for lost luggages (on the 31/07/15), since when no news. We tried to call Vueling's consumer service : nobody on the phone, they made us wait for about 5 min each time and then hang up saying that all their counselors are busy and we have to call back later, at any time of the date obviously ! We also tried the "Lost&Found Dpt" as their facebook/twitter community manager asked us to do, exactly same result : NOTHING. We seriously expect them not to have any counselors at all, after all that would cost them money! To sum up, this airline compagny is just the worst one ever ! Even for a low cost this is unacceptable !

Marta : Vueling lost my bag (and the bags fr om many passengers) from Barcelona to Ámsterdam. Flight had a delayed of 2 hours and it seems that the pilot didnt want to wait for the people in Ámsterdam to take the bags out so he went back to Barcelona with the lugagges. This is what I was told after waiting for 3 hours in the baggage belt!! no wáter no news nothing, no one said anything! unacceptable. I have traveled with them many times (always with delays) and this is the first time and due to the bad customer service. I am not flying with them again. I dont understand how come they dont know wh ere the bags are. Reading many posts now I am doubting if I will get my bag at all. I cant believe that the Spanish Goverment or European Goverment are allowing this. Marta : Vueling lost my bag (and the bags fr om many passengers) from Barcelona to Ámsterdam. This is just one of many emails I have sent to Vueling and their CEO #Alex_Cruz On the 1st June my partner Maria Ruiz had a subarachnoid brain hemorrhage, this has led to us being unable to fly on the 1st July,2015 and we cannot give a date when we will be able to fly. I contacted Vueling customer service on the 12th June 2015 who initially told me no refund would be given but on further questioning I was told that in the event of surgery then a full refund would be given and I should contact Vueling using the link on their web page, which I did. I received a standard reply telling me that due to "extraordinary circumstances alien to Vueling, we regret not to be able to offer a prompt reply as usual", however the reference quoted above was given. This was on 17th June, 2015. No subsequent reply has been received despite several email requests from myself. I called the customer services again on 24th June and was told that the email would be responded to eventually. However this time I was told that no refund would be given but instead I would be offered vouchers to be used in the next 6 months. We would not accept this since we do not know if my partner will be able to fly in this time frame and furthermore we would not be accepting like for like since flying in November/December would not give us the same experience as travelling in July. My complaint is that this matter is taking too long to resolve and that I am getting different information when I speak to customer services; I have been told "no refund would be given", "a full refund would be given" and "only vouchers will be given". This is giving my partner a lot of additional stress at a time when she should be recuperating and not worrying about such things. I will quote an example from the car hire company that I was using for this holiday, with whom I had no cancellation insurance. I called and explained the situation (that my travelling partner Maria Ruiz (Diaz Garcia) had a Brain Hemorrhage) and following quick conversation with their claims department they agreed a full refund within a minute, the money was paid into my account shortly afterwards. They also expressed sympathy to my partner and wished her a full and speedy recovery. I do not see why Vueling cannot provide this same level of service and understanding. My partner is unable to fly and will not be able to in the foreseeable future. However this would not prevent us taking a holiday using another method of transport, most likely having to stay in the UK. However we are unable to arrange anything since you are holding the bulk of our travel money and I cannot afford to book anything else. So that is almost 7 weeks with no response, their customer service is a disgrace

its been 6 days that my bag has been lost. I am not back in the states and still trying to retrieve my belongings. these are the rudest people i have ever dealt with and can not understand how a bag can go missing so long on a flight that took less than an hour (Rome to Dubrovnik). I wondered around for days with only the clothes on my back because they kept telling me that the back would come the next day. i spend hundreds of dollars on my cell phone in phone calls to both airports and there tracking system is by far the worst i have ever dealt with. I lost some very expensive stuff and they have hung up on my several times when asking them to repeat to me the information that they have on file about my bag. i am furious about this. I have traveled for 20 years to dozens of countries and never have i ever dealt with a situation like this one. I am positive these bags have been stolen. Please do not book with this airline or its partners.

We were on the flight back from Amsterdam to Barcelona and our luggage was also lost/left behind when your luggage was brought back.. we are now in Malta and still don't have our luggage, did you get your luggage back?

My son flew from Amsterdan to Mykonos via Rome on 20/7/15 and his bag was lost. He was told it should be there the next day. he was only on Mykonos for 4 days before flying home to Australia. Each day he went out to the airport to check if his bag had arrived - after the phone calls they promised to make and tell him their progress never happened. Saturday came around and he had to fly home, no bag. He couldn't get any compensation from Vueling over there - what good is 50euro a day when you've already had to leave? We have added the extra information they ask for, and nothing has happened except 'Still tracing...' What to do now? How do we get them to make any effort to find the bag, and if they are not going to, we still have to wait 21 days for it to be declared lost? Its outrageous that this airline can operate this way. And how do they have the cheek to post their 'awards' on their news page? Airline of the year, or something like that? What a joke! I understand that sometimes there are problems with misplaced bagagge, but looking at the number of posts and unresloved problems with this its not just an occasional issue, its an epidemic! We don't know what to do from here on. Anyone had any success? If so, we'd appreciate hearing about your strategy!

Oh. We were in the same flight from BCN to AMS. I lost my luggage as well. I contacted with AVIAPARTNER's staff today and she said my luggage arrived at AMS, but they didn't send it to me. She said she can't guarantee but hopely I can get my luggage today(it was 6 P.M) I couldn't believe it because a staff from AVIAPARTNER said I should wait for my luggage in front of the belt because it's coming although I had been waiting my luggage for 2hours when I knew Vueling lost my luggage. I can't stand their indifference. I am going to other contries without my luggage tomorrow. How can I get my luggage and travel some contries without my luggage? What is Vueling doing now?

We lost a case fr om Gatwick to Rome via Barcelona on 25th June. After numerous calls to vueling and lots of conflicting g info they now say there is no chance of getting it back. Need written confirmation of this from airline but no one gets back to me. Can't believe a airline is allowed to get away with this behaviour and disgraceful customer service. Will never fly help g again. Can't claim travel insurance without confirmation from airline. Totally nightmare and caused so much stress. Should have been afantastic silver wedding anniversary celebration. Absolutely speechless and don't know wh ere to turn next.

They lost my daughters luggage on a flight from Edinburgh Scotland to Rome thru Barcelona. No replies from airport lost baggage or vueling. One thing we saw while waiting for an hour hoping the bag would show was hundreds of bags. Some had tags several months old. I don't think vueling really tries to get bags back to.their owners. Heading back to the USA in a few days and feel we are now at a loss. If a class action suit does happen. This airline deserves it. DAB Fairfax VA

Vueling lost our luggage fr om London Gatwick - Rome on Monday 13th July 2015. I had an onbaord case which they insisted I check-in as they said no room on board. Well guess what, after waiting for 1.5 hours in Rome for our luggage to come of the flight (for everyone) my case was not there! We were then left to your own devices to find lost luggage, wh ere I came across a floor of hundreds of lost bags... Ours was not there! Very unhelpful lady asked me to fill out a lost luggage sheet, I did this, and they said it will be with us in a day or 2! nothing has since arrived, cannot get through to them, and keep being told on their website - Tracing continues....! Never have I experienced an airline like this, and from reading the reviews below, and very doubtful in receiving this case back with some very expensive items inside, along with any compensation..... Please do not book ever with this airline.....

If you do not like to get into serious troubles, if anything comes between (what is quite often the case in aviation and normal with THEM...) you better forget about Vueling! You propably will make some incredible experiences with that company, which can not be namd an AIRLINE: But they are THE ULTIMATE CHAOS AND INSULT!

Our 7 suitcases were lost fr om Athens to Croatia via Barcelona on the 11 July I made over 20 phone calls and wh ere told our bags are most likely in Rome made calls to Rome lost and found they insisted that no bags were found on the 11 July so we decided that one of us will go to Rome and have a look when he got there he said there is a whole floor full with lost/found luggage, a helpful lady helped him find our cases in ten minutes by this time we had left Croatia and gone to Paris when he went to board the flight back with the 7 cases he was charged ˆ855 for over weight I rang vueling in Spain and they said the bags are no longer lost so it's not their responsibility to fly the bags to Paris as the passenger come to Rome and took the bags so not only did we have no clothes or essentials for 7 days we didn't even get our ˆ50 a day compensation we had to pay over ˆ400 to fly to Rome and back and ˆ855 to get our backs on the flight great airline So my guess is your luggage is sitting somewhere in Rome with the other hundreds of unclaimed luggage QOUTE] Guest : I am a cameraman. I recently flew from Marseilles to Rome to gatwick. They have lost all my gear! Over £20,000 worth of equipment! I reported it missing at gatwick and world tracker are trying to find it but they said this airline just doesn't get back to them. I have emailed countless times.... No reply. I have phoned.... On hold for an hour. I hung up in the end as I don't believe there was anyone there. I don't know how this airline can be aloud to operate! Is there someone we can contact as I can't make a wage right now as my tools of trade are hidden away in some airport or worse, someone's garage!!

Vueling overbooked our flight, didn't tell us until we arrived at the airport that we were going to be bumped, denied us a seat, transferred us to a four hours later flight (itself an hour late), refused us the earlier transfers we requested instead, caused us to miss our connection and hotel for the evening (costing us hundreds of euros), and then to top it off, lost both our bags. We still have no idea where the bags are, whether and when they will arrive, or really anything at all. We emailed Vueling three times and got no response. We called Vueling's customer service number twice and were told both times that they had no information for us, the bags were somewhere (nobody can tell us where), and when they had more information the baggage handler at the airport (not Vueling) would call us directly (they haven't), and refused to give us a number to call the baggage handler directly. Vueling, you have caused us hundreds of euros in damages, even assuming we get the bags back eventually (otherwise it will be well into the thousands). How are you going to make this right?
