Wish to tell you that as I live in South. Africa I am forced to use el al for a direct flight. I have been travel Laing with el al for Many years and I am. Mar Tmid member but have NEVER had a benefit. I travelled to Israel last Tuesday upper economy which was disgusting and returned on Thursday night business class which was even worse. The aircraft are old and broken and dirty and do not even have seating with screens. El Al is a disgraceful rubbish airline and your seating prices are exorbitant.. You offer specials and they are always sold out. I am ashamed and embarrassed for you that the Israeli nartional airline is worse than most third world aircraft. If I can I will not use ElAl . The. Toilets stink. I am sure that the aircraft are 30 years old and look it. As for food, business is the same as economy except in a different dish. Please ensure that I get a refund on my ticket. A very * and disgusted Bernard Solomon Cell 0027826000075 I am 74 years old

In October I arranged a trip with El Al from Tel Aviv to Los Angeles for myself, my wife and my daughter (seven years old). I was to fly to LA at the beginning of November. My wife was to fly out on Thanksgiving with my daughter. My wife was then to return to Tel Aviv a week later, and I was to return to Tel Aviv at the end of December with my daughter. I had no complaints about my flight to LA in November, aside from the '90s vintage entertainment system with several channels of movies on loops. The plane was comfortable enough and clean, with relatively good food and no trouble with the service. Then, due to an internal dispute, El Al arbitrarily canceled the flight my wife and daughter were to take to Los Angeles, providing no solution whatsoever and completely destroying our plan. We were notified of the cancellation a few hours before the flight, when they were already packed and ready to leave, leaving little time to make other arrangements. We were on the phone for hours trying to reach El Al, but nobody answered. My wife and daughter were crushed and upset. To salvage the rest of the trip, I had to scramble to book alternate flights with United and had to spend several thousand dollars on alternate flights—way beyond the cost of the original flights. I had to rebook my own return flight with United instead of El Al because my daughter obviously can't fly alone. There was no other option but to completely cancel the trip and return home. El Al was nowhere to be found throughout this traumatic experience. It wasn't until several weeks later that we received a refund for my wife's and daughter's flights. El Al refused to offer any compensation of any kind for the trouble or distress caused, or the additional cost incurred. After a month and a half of wrangling with El Al's customer service, the only compensation offered was a partial credit for the return flight I could not use, which could only be used for a single ticket with El Al. El Al's management and personnel are apparently highly irresponsible and incompetent, putting their own internal disputes above customer service. I highly doubt we will ever fly with El Al again.

I am very surprised at the person claiming to be Israeli giving 10 reasons not to fly ElAl. I took elal in Dec. 2014 and arrived at the BenGurion at 6:30AM. My connecting flight on elal was not until 9:30PM. I was personally escorted to the King David lounge and greeted warmly. The lounge is open 24 hours with excellent food and drinks. The staff is kind and helpful. I never fly any other airline but elal if at all possible.

Meant to go on holiday to Eilat in 2 days time. Was told 3 days ago that ELAL have cancelled all domestic flights, but they will provide a coach ha!ha!ha! Presume the CEO must have woken up on Tuesday morning and thought what can I do today... "I know I will cancel all flights without prior notice". Nobody manning the ELAL office in Israel, nobody in England knows where the coach is leaving from or what time. If we never fly to Israel again it wont be too soon. Terrible airline company and contradicts their message on landing "Thank you for flying ELAL we know you have many choices bla..... bla..... bla" Too right there are several choices and ELAL does not figure in any of these choices. They have a couldn't care less attitude, take it or leave, compensation ... get lost, alternative flight ..... forget it, taxi.... you must be kidding, a cup of coffee whilst we wait..... no,. Recommendation from a passenger, just close and allow serious airline companies to offer a proper service, we dont need you and you obviously dont need us or our money.

To my dismay, this email is of great displeasure. It is not the first email I have sent the El-Al staff concerning their disservice. My name is Etty Benor and I have recently flown on a business class flight from Miami to Tel-Aviv with El-Al during which delays in my stop over led to my relocation into a hotel in Canada, a loss of a very important client of mine with whom I had a business meeting with during the time I was held back by the airline, and to boot, my business class miles were never added to my account. More than all that, I have emailed El-Al well over three times on this matter and have failed to receive and effective results. I would like to speak with a manager or an El-Al representative supervisor immediately and resolve this issue. You can contact me via e-mail or by phone at +

El Al Israel airlines probably the worst airline in the world. El Al has just ended a two day strike after it protested agent against an "open sky" Israeli government agreement (in fear of competition.) We were booked on 22 April on flight to 365 LY that was canceled according to the TLV website. Phone calls to El Al information numbers were on nonstop hold no one ever answered. Only the reservation numbers answered still booking more passengers even that they were on strike , we were told rudely by the operator not to call the reservation number and if we wanted information to take the two and half hour drive to the TLV airport to find if our flight was canceled or not. At the airport the El AL information booth was closed! We walked all over the airport with no El AL personnel willing to give us any information on our canceled flight and just disappeared. Once the strike ended we were never contacted by El AL, never offered a re booking, or even offered transfer to another airline. Now we not sure will even get a refund. El Al has non nonexistent customer service.

Cabin service used to stink. Rude stewards and stewardeses. In the past 10 years someone must have finally explained to the cabin crew that this is not going to cut it and that El Al can not stay in business counting just on Jews who would fly El Al no matter what. So...that was improved. Movie selection still very thin. Food.....run of the mill airline food, nothing to brag about. Generally on schedule and on time. Security check is almost always a hustle if you and your partner do not have the same last name....you figger out why. Lastly, one wonders how an airline will not fly on Saturdays and stay in business. Ridiculous.
