Sun Country, March 23, 2022. Cancun to Minneapolis. Bumped without reason, this airline is fading fast.

My daughter had a family emergency and we had to drive from Tallahassee to Tampa to get the first available flight to Seattle. Sun Country's departure from Tampa was delayed. My daughter attempted to get them to hold the plane in Minneapolis so she could make her connecting flight and arrive in Seattle around 4. They refused to do so! Delta would have held the flight. As a result, she will not make it into Seattle until after 11:00 p.m. when state official offices are closed. She will not be able to take care of the problem until Tuesday since Monday is a holiday. I have talked to someone at Sun Country corporate office and they had no compassion at all. They just didn't seem to care. They did not attempt to get her on an earlier flight with another airlines.

I want to thank Bridna Kelly, from Sun Country in Seattle Washington, for the great help in getting me from one airlines arrival area to another airlines departure area. She had no idea I was trying to get home fast to be with my father before he dies. While I was waiting for my conecting flight she called me and let me know I was to pick up my luggage and then recheck them for the connecting flight. She helped me through security with luggage and on my connecting flight just in time. Then sent my luggage on the very next flight so I could get home to my father faster. She went out of her way to make my hectic day better and smoother. I had a bad time booking the flights to get home to see my Father. CheapOair was trying to charge me more then what was online. As soon as I went to book the flight they were saying it was already sold and yet it was still showing as available. Because of Bridna Kelly I would love to fly Sun Country again. She made it a smoother and non difficult flight for me during this trying time.

We were caught in the Sun Country's baggage extortion this last week at Minneapolis, Saint Paul. We sat with everyone for over an hour before boarding time waiting for the gate to open. The THREE gate personnel stood there with nothing to do, making no announcements or cautions regarding carry-ons. When they started boarding, after first class, they seemingly randomly stopped several people, my wife and I included, to measure their bag with their measuring bin. I thought the bin looked small and SURPRISE, none of the bags they checked fit in the bin. Everyone whose bag was measured stated it was a bag that had fit on several flights before this one with no problems, at all, ever. Our bag had fit fine on over 20 flights, including overseas twice, and on the flight 4 days before INTO Minneapolis. There was no time to deal with this issue since everyone behind was waiting to board. As I mentioned the measuring bin appeared small. I measured the measuring bin and then the overhead when we boarded. I measured a carry-on that fit in the overhead bin and it was 4 inches bigger than the measuring bin. At our destination I counted 31 carry-on bags in the carousel. Oh, by the way, each bag AT THE GATE was $25. They made a handy extra $775 from their extortion. BEWARE the "just before you board" bag extortion.
