At the time he nor any crew member mention air controller in France being on strike, the reason he gave to the passengers on board the aircraft was as followers. 1. That the flight had be cleared by Doncaster Airport Control to be open until we landed as it would have be only half an hour late. 2. That the aircraft controller at the Tenerife Sur Airport said that she had not confirmation of that fact. The pilot told us that your company and Doncaster Airport Control was in contact with Air Traffic Controller to resolve that manner so we would be on our way. 3. About twenty-five minute later he came back in and told us that the plan had change because of the confuse between you company and that of Tenerife Sur Airport Control that Doncaster Airport that decided to close the airport. 4. He also stated that your company and Tenerife Sur Airport Control had come to agreement with East Midland Airport for this plane to land there. That all passenger would be bus to Doncaster. There was not a lot we could do many of the passenger was not happy with this. 5. Later again you Pilot came back into the cabin and told us them because your company wanted this plane to be in the right place the next day that again the plan had changed and that we were all going to Manchester Airport and bus from there to Doncaster. 6. He also told us all because of this situation that we would be entitled to compensation as the fault lay with you as you did let Tenerife Sur Airport Controller know what was agreed between your Company and Doncaster Airport. 7. If there had of know we would have be able to take of at the allotted time and would have arrived back about half an hour late. I find it very strange that l cannot talk to anyone in your department about this matter. Also as a loyal customer of Thomson l found the treatment of your team upsetting. I will wait until Wednesday 26th April for a replied for you or someone in your company. That l will be getting in touch with The Civil Aviation Authority.

What do me and my partner have to do to get Thomson to pay out for a eighteen hour delay!! Contacted them sent registered letters with all the official proof they have not even replied . Four years now and being totally ignored

I want to add another checked in luggage bag, under their allowed 15kg, to my flight. I will need to do it in person at the airport, as the website wont let me, and over the phone they've told me I can only do it at the airport. The question I have is - Will I pay a flat rate for the extra bag, or will I have to pay per kilo for the checked in luggage? (would come to £200+ as a 15kg checked in bag). I've not been given an explanation as to why I couldn't add more luggage to my flight in advance, even over the phone. I assume the extra baggage on the flight has reached a certain limit. I had to pay £42 to check in my hand luggage on the outbound flight as it was 3kg overweight, which is my own fault.

Your phone number rings and rings and cuts off as another customer said below, the number on my customer claims form does not exist?? i have been complaining since May 14, your customer care is non existent, I have emailed numerous time, and filled out a claim form as asked to do because you finally acknowledged that i have a complaint! still no reply! i will not travel with THomson again and have told my friends and family not to either!!! having said that i am going to bug you until you acknowledge your customer care is useless and I get the compensation i deserve!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

terrible customer service. I was delayed on a precruise flight in December 2010 for over 5hours. I have been trying to claim flight delay compensation since November 2014. despite numerous emails and at least 10 phone calls to the company, I have not had a response. I feel they are just using delaying tactics to avoid paying compensation. All the required information has been submitted to the airline

Would not fly with Thomson airlines again after my cases were damaged 9 months ago on a flight coming back from Tenerife. They have offered me a ridiculous amount of money to replace the cases. I am now having to go to a small claims court to get my cases replaced for this years holiday. Totally disgusting & will not fly with this airline again.

Guest : Had horendous flight with Thompson and no contact since I emailed them until I phoned to day and they said "it was been looked into. Below copy of my email to them. THe Steward was verbally abusive to me when I told him did not like being sat next to a pair of lesbians holdiong hands and playing footie and m,y seat continuously moving.He told me " look at your own consience" Customer Contact Reason: Flight Customer Comment: I was on a flight from Ibiza this morning flight number TOM 4328 was given a seat next to toe Lesbians who were holding hands and other things. I did not agree with this as it is a PUBLIC CONFINED SPACE. I waited until the plane landed and told the Sterward and he said " it was my concience" what a cheek and disgracful manner! said if it had been tweo gay guys and the st8 men dsapproved who would you have taken off the flight to stop a * up ? I am disgraced with the manner of the StewardI could have stood up and complained when we were taxing out to the runway but thought more polite to wait. This steward obviously not the right person I felt they should have told the Lesbians to cool it but they said nothjing. According to the stewards response its my fault that I dont like to see sexual act next to me on af on a public place and confined space. Its ok for Lesbians to show affection if public but as I told him if it had been gay men they would have thrown them off the plane NOT the people complaining. Come on Thomson a 6 hour flight without entertainment. I booked without checking this and wish I had`nt and will not in future. You cannot expect people to be happy with no entertainment on a 6 hour flight. Even if we had the option to buy headphones and films would be better than nothing. If Thomson are concerned about their complaints about this subject............SORT IT OUT !!!

I have booked my flight with the company, but regretting it already! I should have spent some additional £100 and booked with emirates. The customer service is very poor, I booked a long haul flight, but the woman "Ash" who I spoke with said it was a short flight. Don't really know what she was looking at. She was useless and could not help at all. Wasted 10 mins of my time, wasted a call. (Sunday 02/11 around 14:05) Really people, don't travel with them, spend some more money and get a decent flight if you can

The way we where treated was not acceptable and i believe that Thompsons have failed a Duty Of Care towards us during the delay. Thompsons staff told parents that children had to sit on there knees without a seat belt and let me video the chaos that erupted afterwards and even let me smoke on the airport field! When asking Thompsons staff what was happening after we were told that our flight was cancelled the following quotes were taken by myself also with video evidence that i took on my phone at the airport and throughout the 24 hour period. When asking Chrissa and lisa at the airport what was happening they both replied 'i dont know i have only been working for Thompsons for 3 days'. I then demanded to see the Thompsons supervisor at the airport but Rachel (head of operations did not want to talk). Rachel was no were to be seen throughout this awful ordeal and only showed her face when we finally boarded the plane the day after. It took Thompsons staff (Lisa and Crissa) over an hour to arrange transportation to the hotel provided as there were not enough seats on the coaches and children were sitting on laps throughout the journey. I have video evidence of this ordeal and the total panic that set in.Thompsons did not control nor care and your staff let everyone smoke on the airport field and let me video the whole scene.! When arriving at the hotel Vanisko i asked Thompsons rep Stella if we could have any food or water she replied 'The hotel has no food'. Yet i have video evidence of a hotel worker eating a meal 20 minutes after. She spoke very good English when it suited and again her excuse was 'ive only worked for Thompsons for 3 days'. Other passengers in the group had no nappies for children, everyone was hungry and Thompson Airways staff did not care or accommodate for this. In the morning we were told that the coaches would arrive and take us all to the airport. This again was very hard work for Thompsons staff as they simply could not count as only 2 coaches arrived and reps expected people to stand up or sit on laps. Thompsons rep Helen wanted me and my partner to sit on a different bus than our luggage was on because they filled the coaches in panic without any order. Surely Thompsons staff knew how many people they were responsible for? There were people waiting for extra coaches in panic as Helen and Rosi had said 'we don't have enough coaches'. I have video evidence of Helen running around in blind panic as she did not control the situation at all. Helen later broke down on the coach in tears over the tannoy and yelled a barrage of abuse at me because i quoted her on what she was saying. Rosi also spoke no English and just flapped about shouting in Greek which made everyone feel awkward and frightened. When finally boarding the plane we were told that we would receive complimentary food and drink. The drink was cloudy tap water on plane and 1 and half hours into the flight we received a multigrain bread with ham and Gouda cheese..which was frozen in the middle!!!! (see pics) Thompson Airways simply do not care.I have sent 3 letters addressing my complaints so far with no reply on all occasions. DO NOT FLY WITH THOMPSON AIRWAYS....

After reading the very very very bad reviews on the Thomson flights from Manchester to Cape Verde I am anxious about my flight due to leave Manchester on the 9th October to Sal Cape Verde. My question to the powers that be is why when Thomson was the company of choice is it now flights that have to be endured and not enjoyed. Thomas Cook leaving you far behind in passenger expections, we would go with them if we had the choice. Why have you gone downhill with normal flights when you have the Dreamliner is it a case of fur coat ......
