Hi all If you are considering to travel via japan by ANA, please seriously reconsider. Here's my experience We were scheduled to travel from sapporo from tokyo narita airport to hong kong. Our flight from sapporo to tokyo was delayed by an hour because of snow. When we are approaching narita, the flight landed on haneda (another tokyo airport ) instead We were told the reason behind is traffic jam in narita airport. After landing in Haneda airport, we waited in the poorly ventilated plane for 2 hours and 40 minutes! They said they were making a decision on whether to fly back to Narita airport But the decision took more than 2.5 hrs!!! And the final decision is to depart in Haneda airport. We were promised by the flight attenants that there will be staff helping us on transition after landing. We were also given 3000yen (30 euros) for transportation fee. After getting our luggages, we were unable to find any responsible staff. Finally we find a staff on another floor, but she was speaking japanese to us. We decided to take the public transport to Narita to seek for help. It took 3 hrs for us to bring along all luggages to Narita, it was 11pm at that time. And finally we are able to see some ANA staffs. Unfortunately, they were trying to close the counter. They gave us a phone number to call for help, which is ridiculous. We found out that our original plane departed less than half an hour ago, which was also delayed due to heavy snow. There was no overnight flight back to Hong Kong. The staff, however, did not arrange any accomodation for us. They were so KIND to give us a blanket to stay in the airport overnight They were so GENEROUS to give us some biscuits, as we havnt taken any food since 2pm,. They also offered a flight which is 6 days later, which a flight from tokyo to Hong Kong takes less than 5 hours. 6 days maybe more than enough to drive back to Hong Kong. They also refused to contact other airlines for any tickets. THe funny thing is, they asked us to call other airlines for help. They didn't think they have a responsibility to take care of us They basically offered no help. Then they went home and we were left in the airport with no food, drinks, shower The next day is charotic, hundreds of passengers lining up in front of ANA counter, in contrast to 30s-40s in other airlines The airline again refused to offer any extra flights back to Hong Kong, and we were forced yo put on waiting list. My wife and I were lucky to get on the plane on the same day. But there were other passengers who were left there for another day. After this terrifying experience, I would NEVER ever choose this airline If they is a rank zero out of five, I would have chosen it. I hope this review could help others on choosing their flights.
