year 2018 (all messages): This is not the AirAsia carrier site here, but the discussions forum here. There is no flight information /e-ticket number / reservation on this air carrier in most comments. No one can reply without the correct and full data on the reservation or on the flight/destination. Such comments without the date/ flight number / reservation number or / e-ticket attached are useless and unfair. In order to get the correct reply, kindly attach the reservation / booking number and produce date / fllight number / airports. Requests on refund must produce full name, reservation / eticket and email address in attachment. The reply can be handlled within 2-5 days by free staff in English. Unscrupulous Practices:
We have recently purchased tickets from Melbourne to Incheon, South Korea, with a 90-minute connection at Kuala Lumpur.
We have now been informed that our flight from Kuala Lumpur to Incheon has been rescheduled to later that day, a 8hr layover. We checked the availability of our original Kuala Lumpur to Incheon flight and found out that the connection is still available, but at a much higher price.
My conclusion is that they are quite happy to move customers like us around when there is a demand for our seats at a higher price!!
Thank you Tony Fernandez!

Booking Error:
When you book your return tickets on AirAsia, please make sure you have bought your baggage allowance for both legs separately.
We were caught by the booking process and only bought baggage for the forward leg, while thinking that we had bought the baggage allowance for both legs.
On our return journey, we were caught at the check-in counter without a baggage allowance. We had to buy the first 15kg at RM 150, plus RM50 per kg thereafter. So if you want 20kg, you would have to pay RM150 + RM250 = RM400! A costly mistake!

30 - 40 minutes before departure time the gate closed and we could not board.
15 minutes before departure time the plane left the bay and sat on the tarmac for 15 minutes before it taxied away to runway. What is that about????
Our bags must have been taken off an hour before departure time.
Other people were also not allowed to board. We all missed our connecting flights because of this "urgency" by AirAsia and inability to serve their clients.
We were at the airport and had checked in 1 bag 2.5 hours before take off, we were in the coffee shop just beside the gate, we heard no calls for early take off and our names were never called over the intercom. The AirLine staff know we were there, and its a small airport (Mactan, Cebu) so very easy to see all passengers if you walk 50 meter.
40 years of flying and this is a first, serious shame on the staff and AirAsia to behave in this way!!!!! Never fly that airline again, and will tell everybody to stay away as well. The Immigration officer that cleared us back in again told us that same thing has happened before with Air Asia.
Question is priority: does an Airline serve its guests or uphold some internal "on-time" rules as priority, clearly AirAsia is not interested in serving guest!!!
