Deirdre Wilson : Last year Feb my friend and I booked tickets to montego Bay for Nov. In Sept we were notified that Montego Bay was no longer serviced by them and we would fly into Kingston our resort was not in Kingston. We had to scramble to find another flight one way to Montego Bay for our trip and it cost us each an additional 200 dollars. This airline basically told me not our fault refunded me the price of the original ticket and wouldn't cover the additional money we had to pay. I would never fly this airlines and wouldn't recommend it either. Who gives so short notice about canceling an entire route. That sounds incredibly frustrating! Airlines should provide more notice for route changes. Have you considered reaching out to them again for further compensation? It's disappointing when travel plans get disrupted like that.

I flew to Trinidad on Feb 3rd 2020 and was unable to return to Canada on the arranged date April 4th 2020 due to Covid-19.I paid an additional $ 94.00 on my return fare which I couldn’t use because of the Airport closeure. I am in Canada now and asking for a reimbursement of the fees paid.

Caribbean airline flight attendants an their agents need to learn good customer service because their attitude is not nice. I bought a ticket online a few hours before the flight and had no option to sel ect a seat. I got a seat in carribbean plus at the airport at jfk when I checked in, I paid a paid $85.00 US shy of $1000.00 for my ticket. There were was a blanket on the seat middle seat an the row I sat was empty an so were seats behind me. However I heard someone asked one flight attendant if they could sit else where, I heard her reply that sir people paid a lot for those seats ( the seats which was empty). The passenger then asked someone else an not sure what he was told by a male person. Upon waking up during the flight there a passenger sitting in the aisle seat in the same row as me. There were another passenger who took up all three seats sleeping behind me. When I called to confirm my flight fr om Trinidad I was asked to get a seat number since I didn't get one to go back to ny. I asked for window an I got a seat which turn out to be the 2nd row away fr om the toilet. I asked why not any other seat, I was told that I can get seat 14 in the aisle, when I asked why is that, I told her how much I paid and this is what I am getting. The agent on the the phone was mam all the seats are book by other passengers, if you wan to upgrade you have to pay $100 US. I could not believe that I paid so much, got a carribean plus seat going to Trinidad and go a window seat two rows away fr om the toilet. Which when I asked for a blanket I was told in not a nice manner they sell it. She did not wait for me to ask what's the cost or cared to tell me she stepped in the back. I waited till I saw her again an asked how much then was told $5.00 US or $35.00 tt. I asked if the take cash or card she said cash. I paid $35.00tt for the blanket which I got to use free while I going to Trinidad, the flight attendant was handing the money to other attentand and she said I don't want to touch that. I saw her afterward handing out blanket to other passengers and but I never saw her collected any money. Also while waking going to my seat, they were caribbean plus seats empty and there were a couple row and empty seats and window seat after caribbean plus. Why was my money only good from jfk to Trinidad but not good going from Trinidad to jfk and I bought a two way ticket. My locked for my suitcase wasn't working last minute and I asked the flight agent at jfk if he can put a zip tie to lock my suitcase which he did, but in Trinidad when I asked the female agent to put one she rudely said no she don't have non, then asked what. I repeated myself and again she rudely said no I have non looked at me as if what I am asking. The pilot did not even turn off the lights for passenger to take a nap either .And due to that I got no sleep on my night flight my seat was being knocked and kicked at times by the kid behind me, which everyone could of gotten a little sleep if the pilot of flight attendant turn off the lights after a few hours like they normally do. Also just to mention it does not matter wh ere you sit in economy it doesn't mean that they some passenger paid more to be seated there. My seat was taken twice in once flight, I was told the reason was it was assigned to old people, that wh ere the words of the agent on the phone when I called to confirm my flight. Which there were using the agent words ''old people'' assigned to the row wh ere I was 1st suppose to sit. Then my 2nd assigned seat was taken by the travel agent whom sold me the ticket for that flight, whom paid much less under $400.00 US for two way, and I paid a couple hundred more for my ticket, two way also. She was laughing about how much she paid when I bought my ticket fr om here, and she even was laughing when she took my seat which was was behind her seat had she sat there. So I had to sit in her seat. Caribbean airline needs to be professional, friendly with good customer service and leave on time and don't have passengers waiting so longer every time just for the flight to go to the destination. Caribbean airline needs to stop lying to customers whom spend their money to fly with them.

My ticket had me returning to JFK from pos at 10:30pm. I went to check in online only to find that the flight was changed to a 12am flight arriving 5am. I called only to be told that I made a booking change, when I said that was untrue, i was told the flight would not het in on time. I did i needed to get to jfk for work. They put me on a Guyana flight getting me in at 11:30 pm. I have arrived at Guyana and three plain has broken down. No one has offered drinks or food and I have been on their flights for over 5 hours so far. Disgusting. I will be compensated for my loss of earnings if it's the last thing I do

March 21,2017 I purchased two airline tickets for my parents to return to Jamaica. Unfortunately, when I purchased the ticket instead of my mother's name as one of the ticket holders I mistakenly put my first name only . However, everything was correct accept the first name of my mother. As soon as I realize the mistake I contacted your airline customer service, which was closed. I tried the next day which was Sunday early afternoon and it was closed. Finally, I was able to get in contact with a representative on Monday. Once I spoke to your representative I informed her of the mistake that was made. She then gave me three options on how the problem can be corrected. The option I choose was to send a copy of my and my mother's passport information to the following email mail@Caribbean-airlines.com, which the representative gave me and told me to send the information for review and that I would have to pay a $5.00 fee. Well, I did send the information and I contacted Caribbean Airline as I was instructed by your representative to do to confirm that your airline received the information I sent and pay the $5.00 fee. When I called I was given different information as well as I was hung up on several times. This time when I was finally able to speak to a representative they said that I could not get a name change and I will have to purchase another ticket. What!!! The only thing that could be done was to refund the taxes. I am totally dissatisfied the lack of honor and disrespect Caribbean Airline as showed me for something that I thought was a simple mistake. I will try my best to take this as far as I can go until proper solution is done. I advised anyone taking Caribbean Airline don't * your money and use a more o reputable airline.

I recently travelled on one of your flights and could not help yet again for the numerous times I was taken aback by the strange accents spoken by your lead flight attendants, especially the purser. Why is it that the pilots never seem to acquire these constructed accents. Boarding a flight and travelling on a country's National Airline lends the expectation that the crew personnel would represent the island of Trinidad. Gilian I believe was her name, broke into yet another strange foreign tongue. Of course its not only the airline who have acquired this strange tongue. For many TV, radio and quite a lot of local Trinidadians have acquired this nauseating manner of speech. What is wrong with the native Trinidadian tongue. None of the other islands, Jamaica, Barbados, St Lucia etc have this false type of diction. It is totally unbearable, we abroad have discussed this many times, I felt the need to write to you in hopes of regaining the pride of Trinidad, hopefully my email will fall on a proud Trinidadian who also feels the need to keep up the standards of the airline. Can you please ask the person in charge of these flight attendants, the one hiring and having monthly dialogue with these individuals, to please speak to these impressionists and have them regain their native tongue by losing their constructed accents. Much appreciated. Thank you.

HOPE BRYAN : dear caribbean airlines, i wish to file a complaint. on flight 044 leaving phila, Pa on 31 may 2012 to arrivew in kingston jamaica at 09:55am. short story upon boarding my flight out of phila, pa my carry on bag was a little too large so i had to check my bag at the last minuite. when i arrived at my final destination home a silver bracelet was stolen out of my suitcase and would like to re compensated for it. THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR YOUR COOPERATION i say to go and report it to higher people like the ombudsman. and go through whatever it takes to get them to pay you back. they should have real people who has to go through police check before they hire them. what i have read about CAL is very disturbing and i have to fly with them soon. if this happens to me i will make sure it goes viral to all social media and have everyone who has bad expedience or needed compensation should rightfully get it within 1-2 months. all airline hostess should be trained just like air canada who is very polite.

I've been traveling from JFK since Wednesday night to Grenada. Connected in Trinidad and left Trinidad at 6:40 am this morning 8/7/15 BW440 to Grenada, only to arrive without my bag. I'm in Grenada attending a wedding. The rehearsal dinner is tonight at 5pm and the wedding is tomorrow and no one can give me a status on my missing bag and when it will arrive. In addition, I've been treated with such disrespect! I've never been treated like this before. This is completely unacceptable! I cant believe this is happening - I'm supposed to be here attending a wedding and enjoying a vacation, instead, I'm here stressing over my bag/property. This is not how you value customers and your agents need some real customer service training. Never again! It's a pity I couldn't rate at below zero.

Attention: Customer Services Disabled passengers, wheelchair bound passengers and passengers with immobility problems are required to disclose that they will need assistance to board and disembark. It is therefore incomprehensible that an eighty plus year old passenger was recently made to walk the tarmac what seemed like several miles to board Flight 903 on Friday 2nd January at Gatwick to Port of Spain. Surely a wheelchair could have been made available, especially since she had requested help and a golf buggy was provided to the departure lounge. Is is disappointing to see our elderly passengers treated with such disrespect and nothing done to alleviate their discomfort.

Dear,Caribbean .I have been travelling Caribbean for over 40 years ,some years were very good. but lately that have been stressing the passengers out ,I travel from Toronto to Port of Spain .when you check in at Pearson your next step is to clear airport security and go to the departure gate for your flight ,no more checking. but in Trinidad .They check your baggage at the counter then your hand luggage is check with airport security and again by cal employers before you allowed to board your flight .now that is what i call stress ,my point is when you Clear airport security in Toronto that it for you ,Stop Stressing Your passenger

Keith : To whom it concerns, I am emailing Caribbean Airlines because of I am truly disappointed by the direct flight BW609 (Toronto to Grenada) I took on January 17, 2013. Firstly, my flight was delayed 6 hours fr om when it was supposed to actually depart. In accordance, no further information was given to myself or any other passenger flying to Grenada on the development of our flight. I am a frequent flyer of the airlines and have flown to Grenada over 7 times in the last two years. I have never once had a complaint nor have I ever had anything negative to say about your airlines. Unfortunately, this flight was the WORST flight I have ever been on. Not only was the service very poor and attendants very rude, they also did not give us any information about our diversion to Trinidad. We were lied to on a number occasions and were not given the information that could have given to us hours prior. We were only told of our flight change 5 minutes prior to landing in Trinidad but in fact the flight had been planned since we were boarding in Toronto. I know this because online the time stamp has it at 630pm that the flight travels was changed on your website. In addition, we only got to Trinidad for 1 am where we were forced to stay in a hotel as compensation, though many of us refused. As we left the airport, we only got to the hotel at 3:30 am and told to be awake for 6:00am. We spent a total of 3 hours in the hotel, wh ere the service and food were not very good. My room, was cold, not cleaned well and smelled of cigarettes. I was told by the airlines that I could call my family in Toronto and let them know of my travels however, when I reached the hotel, they informed me of that in fact I would have to pay for it. In the morning upon leaving the hotel, we were told our flight would leave at 8:10 however our flight again was delayed. We left 1 and half hours late to reach our destination only at 11 am. I was very disappointed by both the hospitality and service of this flight . I was more upset at the fact that the airlines chose to lie and try and manipulate me into doing something when honesty itself would have sufficed. I would have understood that things happen and flights may be delayed but with everything that occurred, I WOULD LIKE COMPENSATION. My direct flight was more expensive and the hotel itself was not the necessary or appropriate method of compensation. Please let me know what you will do for the troubles and turmoil you have caused me on my journey. If nothing is done, I will be posting this review on every flight blog online as well as to all the people I know who currently fly Caribbean Airlines. In addition, I have been emailing and trying to get any answers in the matter which has not yet been handled. They continue to tell me that it will take 60 days for Ms. Miriam Self to get back to me, though it has been 6 months. The last time I checked 6 months is equivalent to more than 60 days. oh my god, i was told the same as well that Ms Miriam Self would contact me and i am still waiting for her. This was by far the worst trip in my life. I really don't know who I should contact again. Its been over 6 months i am waiting for someone to sort out my bag and my flights and nothing. this is a very bad airline. If anyone knows of anyway to help please email me at henchley@msn.com

If you have an alternative airlines, avoid CAL. The flight is generally good but always late and the staff rude more times than not. An elderly relative was traveling to London this month from Port of Spain and the stewards and stewardesses were rude and hostile as is characteristic of the poor customer relation skills often displayed by the staff of this regional Caribbean Airline. Travel American or Jet Blue if you can. Caribbean Airlines cares neither about its international reputation or regional complaints about its abhorrent customer relation skills.

You sound like a disgruntled ex girlfriend in high school. One does not catch an STD via food as well. Perhaps you'd be more comfortable on Facebook or MySpace rather than a valid customer complaint website. Guest : What's worse and I think more important than poor airline service is the fact that some air hostesses have STD's. I know one in particular that have herpes AND chlamydia. Eww!! and these girls are handling your food! I dont understand why they are still employed! Anyway I'm just making you aware of the facts. Good luck on board the so called Caribbean Airlines

This is absolutely by far one of the worse airlines out there!!. The people who work for Caribbean Airlines could give 2 * less about their customers or even other people who aren't their customers. It all starts out with simple interaction at the counter at JFK. Hardly any eye contact, no respectful attitude, and definitely no education level with some of these employees. It's as though they took the worst of the worst rejects and give them a job just so that uncle sam don't have to pay them to sit their lazy asses at home. Great job Caribbean Airlines, way to have the worst of the worst people working and representing your airline. If you're going to employ ghetto rejects to work for you, at least try and train the animals first about customer relations. It doesn't take much. At least the "manager" at the time was respectful to come and speak to resolve a rude and obnoxious problem, where as the "supervisor" couldn't even look at one in the face and speak, completely ignoring us as if we were beneath her. So much for customer service and basic etiquette. Caribbean airlines has none. I really hope your airlines sink into the ground, and when it does file for bankruptcy, no government should protect it by bailing it out, just simply let it go down in flames, no pun intended. Caribbean airlines, you HAVE got to STOP treating your customers like their * . Hire better professional people, not ghetto hood rats.

Dear Caribbean Airlines, I traveled from Guyana to Toronto yesterday on flight 662, at the counter I was issued my boarding pass then was told my suitcases was 18kg. overweight on each suitcase and I will have to pay 75US each case, that is not a problem as people do pay for overweight, my problem is I know for a fact my luggage was not overweight by that much, they were actually 2.6 kilos total, I asked to talk to a supervisor who can sort this out, I was asked to stand in the corner and wait for a supervisor who never came, after 30min. asking again how long I have to wait the clerk told me he came and left but for $50 US she will let me go, this is after she issued my boarding pass, I told her I have no money my cases are not that heavy, I stood right there when her colleague asked her what is the issue and she said I am overweight by 2.6 kilos total and I wanted to see the supervisor, this racket has to stop, please contact me so I can give a more detailed account. thnks

Tough luck if you think for a moment that caribbean airlines gives a hoot about any of your discomfort or discomfort to their passengers. As long as they sell tickets and get money, it's all that they care about. Look what they have done in the caribbean, e.g. Not many countries in the caribbean currently have a national carrier, mostly because of their insestence that they can provide a better and more economical transportation. But what they really did, was that which ever country's route is part of their service route, no one else can get into those countries, albeit landing at piarco international, as a passenger and cartage carrier and request a re-fuel stop. It's more painful that pulling a mouthful of teeth without freezing treatment. They monopolize the caribbean and will not allow any other carrier to eek out an existence from operating in that area.

Since July 3rd, 2012, I have sent numerous emails to Miriam Self regarding my claims and have not received a reply fr om either Caribbean Airlines or Ms. Self. Please note that I was originally told that it will take 60 days to process my claim from the 3rd of July, 2012. I have also called her at 1-868-669-3000 ext 2270 and was unable to leave a message on her voice mail. I have called and spoke with someone at another department who confirmed that Ms. Self is still employed with Caribbean and since I am unable to leave a voice mail message then I should call before 4pm. I have expressed my frustrations with not getting any response to the emails that I have been sending following my claim. I was told to keep trying to call because they are unable to take a message and forward it to her... Great customer service from Caribbean Airlines... In April 2012, I purchased tickets for 4 passengers and one infant to attend a memorial service that was scheduled on June 22nd, 2012 at 6pm and made arrangements with my extended family to fly out with me to assist with my four children on the same flight. On June 22nd my family and I were scheduled to depart from JFK Airport at 7:50am on Caribbean Airlines flight BW521. Upon check-in at 4am, we were informed that we were being “bounced” from this flight due to overbooking and that since we had no reservation we would need to take a later flight. After the representatives comments I produced a copy of my reservation which identified my seating assignment. I also informed them that other members of my extended family had made arrangements to fly out with me to assist me with my children since I was traveling with a one year old. I expressed to them my distress and concerns and despite having a reservation with identified seating, I was made to take a later flight while my extended family was able to board flight BW521 as originally planned. I was then given seats on flight BW527 which was scheduled to leave at 9:45am but was delayed another three plus hours and officially departed at 1:30pm. My original flight was to be a non-stop flight but flight BW527 had one scheduled stop in route to my destination thus extending our travel time. To add insult to injury, the flight had no water in any of the restrooms and despite being quite cold had no blankets. My one year old suffered from motion sickness and because of the conditions on the plane I was unable to clean him up and make him comfortable. Keep in mind that once an infant is uncomfortable, the crying and screaming on the airplane is one that no one will forget. My issues with Caribbean Airlines did not end there, after my inbound flight experience I made numerous calls to the airline to make sure that my children and I were confirmed on my departure flight (BW520) which was scheduled for June 29th at 12:50am. It was confirmed with the airline representative that we were registered and assigned on more than one conversation. Upon arrival for check-in, I was informed that though my children’s tickets were confirmed there was a problem with mine. I was able to resolve the problem but only after much insistence on my part. I have contacted both the airline and the travel agency to discuss the possibility of compensation for the change in flight and hardship experienced but I get nowhere with either party except both the airline and the travel agency placing the blame on each other. This experience is not uncommon since there are lim ited airlines and flights to Trinidad from the United States. I have had conversations with numerous friends and relatives who have traveled recently and experienced many issues. My own sister traveling with the same airline had a 12 hour delay. It is my request that you may review the details of flight BW521 and BW527 and assist me with identifying what the problem was and who was to blame.
