Hi, I am travelling from the UK. My sons passport expires in November. Advise to travel to Salam an is that he needs 6 months on entry. Currently I cannot get a new passport for him in time of travel.
Can I still travel? Happy to pay a fine.
Can you please reply on:
Thank you in advance.
Four of us have just returned fr om a two week holiday to Turkey which was fantastic. We have also had to travel through Dalaman Airport which has to be one of the worst airports we have ever travelled through, and we are well travelled. On arrival at check in we should have been advised that we were delayed, we only discovered this little rather important piece of information when we got through passport control with very little detail as to how long and why we was delayed. We should have also been given refreshment vouchers and as you can guess there was nothing in that department as well. We did go to the Delay desk but no one was there, and judging by the amount of people in the airport and looking at the board a few flights back to the UK was in the same situation. As I have mentioned Dalaman isn't the best airport we have travelled through and I always dread the return home from a Turkey as both Bodrum and Dalaman are extortionately expensive to the point wh ere it's £5 for a small bottle of water and £8 for a large beer. Dalaman as well being expensive is unbelievably hot and has no air conditioning which made the delay feel worse in the heat, personally I feel disgusted that we were left to our own devices, not much information, and the worst was that no refreshment vouchers were handed out, we wash advised by, and apologised to by our airline about the lack of information and vouchers, that which was disgusting seeing that there was families with young children. Personally I feel that Dalaman airport is probably the worst airport it hot, very expensive and no customer service.
