Kari C : I'm pretty disillusioned with Delta over their charges for checking an oversized bag. We have two first class tickets booked to Honolulu that we paid $3,000 for (total). I inquired as to the limit on how big an "oversized" bag can measure. I was informed that Delta would charge me $200 to check said bag regardless of ticket class or how much I paid for the tickets. So if I paid for an Economy fare ticket I would be charged exactly the same. Seriously Delta?we have had a similar experience. It’s really functional of the person that checks you in and what kind of mood they’re in that day.

What’s up with the new Delta Reserve card sky club policy? 15 visits per year?!! Seriously, I will use that allocation in the first 3 months of the year. Delta continues to disappoint their loyal customers by devaluing their perks. Might be time to shop elsewhere. The companion ticket perk is always difficult to book. A flight can have plenty of available seating but they won’t allow you to use the certificate because they only alot a limited number of seats for those certificates. Again

I flew September 24th on Delta 152 from Minneapolis to Paris and I had a delightful young army Captain sitting next to me who planned to rent a car and drive to Munich for the Oktoberfest. We had a sincere conversation about "finding ourselves, me a widow in the final years of my life and he a young man finding a career after the army and marriage. As we approached Paris he expressed surprise at our heartfelt conversation and he introduced himself as Cory and asked my name. Leaving the plane he said he was right behind me but we lost track in the mobs at Paris CDG. He is the grandson I never had and I would learn how his future works out. Delta 2989 from DTW-BDL on 10/13. Left ninety minutes late because there was no ground crew for the plane. Got BS updates from the cockpit. Then we had to wait for another ground crew upon landing at Bradley. (Not the first time at Bradley.) WTF. Ninety minutes might not seem like much until you do it sitting in airline seats with people on cell phones and toddlers screaming and no internet. Then you miss your ride or don’t see your kids or whatever you were planning to do with that time on the other end. What I want to know is who are the incompetent morons that can’t align ground crews with scheduled flights. There are plenty of alternatives to Delta and Detroit and Bradley

We have a flight from Barcelona to Fort Myers, with an hour and 40 minute layover in Atlanta. Delta informed me that our bags are checked thru to Fort Myers, and that we do not have to collect our bags before going through customs, and then recheck them to Fort Myers. Is this true? I am questioning it because when I booked the tickets, they told me I would have to get the bags before going through customs and then recheck them.

Below is the note I wrote to Delta on 1/19/24. They responded by saying because we did not pay a separate baggage fee (we used credit card benefits) they were not obligated to compensate us for delayed baggage. This seems crazy to me. Does anyone have any suggestions to receive some form of compensation? My wife and I arrived as scheduled shortly after midnight on flight #2940 on 1/14/24 at DTW, but our bags did not. We went to the Baggage Service Office and filed a report. We were given a hand written form with our claim number on it - DTWDL22378. (We later were informed the clerk wrote the tracking number incorrectly. It should have read DTWDL23378.) For the next 5 days, we kept checking wheresmysuitcase.com, and entering the reference number we were given. Each time, we received the message, “Oops, something went wrong. Please try again later.” However, when checking through the Delta app, we received the message, “The bag to be set up for delivery”. On 1/18 we saw a new message saying our bags were to be picked up at 5:00 pm and delivered by 11:00 pm and that our case was closed. We stayed home but no delivery. Finally, on 1/19, we decided our best chance at locating our 2 bags was to drive the 40 miles to the airport and see what we could learn. My wife went in while I waited out front. She dealt with a very unhappy employee who must be very overworked. Eventually, after all efforts to locate the bags at the airport were exhausted, we were able to get the name and phone number of the courier service. We called. No answer and the mailbox was full. After searching for an address, we opted to drive there. Finally, we met someone who was apologetic and helpful and he was able to locate our bags in their warehouse. Yay! He said they were very backed up and it might have taken an additional 2 or 3 days before they were able to deliver them. Ironically, we got a final text (inaccurate) on 1/25/24 saying our bags were just then dropped off! As a result of this debacle, I request compensation for 5 days at $50 a day for each bag (per your website), an additional $100 for the avoidance of additional days, plus mileage at $.67 x 80 miles for a total of $653.60. I am also requesting that both of our SkyMile accounts are credited 2500 points per your 20-minute Bag Guarantee.

The pilot will say " we are expecting rough air so attendants will be unable to serve" then the flight is smooth as glass. The attendants are sitting in their cubbies playing on their phone and get an attitude when you get up and ask for so.ething. I've noticed this on 3/4th my flights last year and now this year.That's frustrating! It seems like there might be some miscommunication. Hopefully, they'll improve the in-flight services.

On January 15, 2024, it was clear, no precipitation, no ice/snow on ground or runway and 3 degrees. We boarded Delta flight 1184 at 5 am only to find that the lavatory and first class coffee maker pipes were frozen. Ground crew failed to ensure GPU was functioning properly to prevent this. We waited on the plane for 3 hours and in the airport for 8. Flight was cancelled and Delta Wichita told us to seek hotel reimbursement in Atlanta as we would not arrive until 10 pm and all connections were missed. Delta Atlanta refused reimbursement citing 'weather'. All other Wichita aircraft took off that morning. Delta 1184 did not take off because DELTA FAILED TO MAINTAIN AIRCRAFT. No other reason. Every attempt at reimbursement has been denied. FALSE CLAIM OF WEATHER.

I’m getting pretty frustrated with Delta. I’ve been told 3 different things in the last week in regards to baggage fees while traveling with my wife and kids. I used miles to book some of the tickets and was told those tickets would have to be on a separate reservation. So the person booking booked my wife and kids on a separate reservation from me. But was told they would still get my benefits with being a diamond member at least for baggage fees. I went to check in today and try address this with people on the phone so I wouldn’t have to do it with the less trained people who check your bags. I’m now being told even though our reservations are linked they don’t get the baggage fee benefit and we’ll have to pay. This is after I spoke to someone last week on the phone that also said I wouldn’t pay because I have the delta reserve card, which is supposed to allow up to eight people in your party to have a free checked bag. I first encountered this issue over Christmas but was reimbursed. This is an international flight from the US to the Bahamas. Any advice on best way to handle this? This seems pretty petty on Deltas part.

Delta issued a full refund/ travel credit to be used in the next year. I really appreciated how sympathetic the customer service agents were to our situation. I would definitely fly on Delta if I had a choice between them and American/ US. Reason I bring up US airways is that my parents also had a connection on a US airways flight and the customer service cancelled the ticket and simply read out the rules on change fees and told us it is unlikely that any amount would be refunded even for a medical emergency since we had a non-refundible ticket. And asked us to try our luck with their online customer relations for a travel credit. Called back to see if it simply was a bad apple the first time but no the second time around too, we got the same callous response from US Airways. Go Delta! Beware of US Airways! They are not interested in repeat business and customer goodwill I just had a horrible experience with Delta on a medical emergency, We had just arrived in Rome, when we found out that our 6 year old granddaughter had been airlifted to the Denver childrens hospital with a life threatening spinal cord infection. We immediately booked a return flight back to Denver at full last minute fares. The agent in Rome advised that we contact USA customer service about a medical emergency fare adjustment. When we got to the USA we contacted Delta customer service we were told no fare adjustment would be made because we had already flown the flight legs back to Denver. These clowns are clueless. Won't be flying these guys again.

However, in domestic markets they seem to care a little bit more about customers, than normally. John. : Again delay by delta causes losing connection flight. What a shame. It is in Atlanta and plane was there from morning in the gate but they can not repair. This is the reason all international flight are occupied by foreign airlines. Never took one but time now to move to foreign airlines. Flight number DL 108 delayed. Sorry management shame on you.

This is not the Delta airways carrier' site here, but the discussions on the services of the Delta air carrier. If there is no flight information (e-ticket number / reservation number, date , destinations/ origin / name), noone is able to reply without the correct data and the full data. In order to get the correct reply, kindly attach the reservation / booking number and / or produce air carrier / date / fllight number / airports / your name at least. Requests on refund must produce full name, reservation / e-ticket and email address of the passenger in the attachment. I think Delta is far better than American Airlines. I wonder when it will become #1 airlines. I believe it won't be long enough for Delta to catch up with AAL, with its fleet size nearing to 1000, it's already 996 now.

Delta did not handle this "outage" well in my opinion. I waited at the airport for Flight 1383 (BDL to ATL) on Tuesday, Aug 9 for six hours. Every couple hours, I'd get a text stating my flight was delayed an hour, then another hour, then an additional 45 min. The text info did not match up to my iOS Delta app or the airport information. I only find out the flight is cancelled when I get a call back from Delta (3 hours after my initial call) because I wanted to see if there were any earlier flights that day I could take. The Delta rep who called me back was very nice and helpful, but the only option for me to get home was to drive to HPN in White Plains, NY and take a 7:15am flight on Wednesday, Aug 10. I find the $200 voucher reimbursement self-serving. I had to pay for a rental car (to drive from Hartford to White Plains), and additional hotel stay and meals. So no, I don't feel fairly compensated for my delay. I also saw no proactive measures Delta took to get passengers to their intended destinations when the delays started occurring. Very poor performance overall in my opinion.

Miserable cabin attendants. Unfriendly, rude even, one even said Jesus because I couldn't here what she said. Also terrible food. I just got food at schiphol. I always try to use the KLM for us bound flights but sometimes am forced to go delta Some of these ladies would be more at home in Wallmarts
