My dad was a pilot for Flying Tiger Line & flew DC4's across the Pacific for years. In 1956 when I was 13 several FTL families flew to Japan where we lived for several months while they were under contract to the US Government to fly supplies in & out of So. Korea. It took 25 hrs. to fly the Pacific . We landed in Honolulu & Wake Is. for fuel.
