Absolutely terrible airlines and they will do all they can to not pay any compensation even if they lose your luggage and at the same time damage it. never flying again

Lost luggage in connection flight St Petersbourg-Helsinki - Brussels, Helsinki airport. Third day in Belgium, still no luggage though seems they located it in Helsinki..waiting

Good morning! I am writing about an experience we had with your airline. We purchased 2 one way tickets last minute to Athens Greece. Our original United airlines flight postponed last minute and we were desperate and booked 2 one way tickets through JustFLY.com. the bill on our credit card says Finnair. We tried to get a refund on JustFly but Finnair has us down as a no show. June 4th we booked two flights while in the lobby of the airport next to Finnair Check in. they knew we were there and we had plenty of time. Since we were going to lay over in France they suggested we get a covid test also and said we had plenty of time. We rushed and paid $350 dollars. We made it back in time and they said they baggage closed early and we could board but our bags could not. They seemed unwilling to help us and had a bad attitude. We are there over an hour early. I remember being an our and half. It was late and they didn’t seem to want to help us. We begged to board and they would not allow it. they wouldn’t book us anything else and said to call JustFly. Just Fly doesn’t answer phones. Also at that time your customer service was over 2 hours and would cut us off . we attempted to cancel, to change, to rebook. Anything. No one would help us. All I am asking is to get a credit, a refund, a voucher. What ever you feel you can do. we paid $1,400 and was not allowed to use the flight. Please help us. We will continue to be a customer and fly with you. We already have plans to book with you if we get a credit. You have submitted your rquest to the Finnair customers servcies. This is not the Finnair carrier' site here, but the discussions on the services of the Finnair air carrier. If there is no flight information (e-ticket number / reservation number, date , destinations/ origin / name), noone is able to reply without the correct data and the full data. In order to get the correct reply, kindly attach the reservation / booking number and / or produce air carrier / date / fllight number / airports / your name at least. Requests on refund must produce full name, reservation / e-ticket and email address of the passenger in the attachment. The reply can be handlled within 48 hours - 144 hours by free staff in English. Cust.Care Ref. # 1-5727509258 My niece Jaana Heinonen was upset at the attitude of the Check-in Staff at Helsinki Airport (24/7) and filed a complaint. It did not bother me, I actually found it amusing that the attendant concluded from our looks that we were approaching a wrong desk - Diamond, as she told us! Instead I want to express our thanks for the friendly and exceptionally good and helpful service we received from the staff at all stages of our trip. The Cabin Crews were friendly and efficient and made our flights enjoyable instead of bearable. Thank You. Sincerely, Pirkko Turkki

They lost 3 our baggage out of 4. There is no customer service no response to any call and they service is horrible. Do not fly with Finnair!

wow what a terrible experience... i'll never choose this airline again... 1) A350 seats are the most crampt smallest uncomfortable long haul nightmares i've ever experienced - i"m 6ft2in - my elbow was planted in someones ear for most of the flight (window seat) ... 2) during stay had medical emergency and was in hospital 4 days... finnair would not change flight (even when i offered to pay penality) and requested from hospital all medical records and 2 page finnair release from doctors - booked return in stockholm 1way with Norwegian airlines to get home... finnair locater 5IWV6F 5NOV - finnair YOU SUCK...

"I flew with Finnair into Bangkok last month. When I initially got onto the plain I thought I was back in the 80's. The decor was dated, of poor quality and seriously lacked what most other airlines offer. The entertainment set was not entertaining. There was about a handfull of options to watch (not fun for a 12 hour flight) and the actual set it self was so bad you could hardly see the picture, the touch screen did not work properly or the remote. And I was not the " unlucky one" as many other on the flight had the same issue. Once your on- you dont have much choice so off I went to Bangkok. Upon arrival I was waiting and waiting for my bag- to be told it is not coming and I can get it tomorrow from the airport! It wasnt until I was about to leave that the customer service worker provided me with a 70euro cash passport card. With this my reaction was ' ok- not so bad, good compensation- have taken responsibility for thier mistake. WRONG. The following day I flew to Laos- with my bag only to put my card in an ATM machine and to be told ' insufficient funds' - about 4 times. I tried another machine and another - same message. I messaged Finnair via facebook - 2 days later a response. Initially they tried to be helpful in stating to try different things, then they informed me that their records show I have withdrawn the funds already. I did not as the ATM would not let me. All in all there have been over 30 emails with zero compensation. Some of the worst customer service I have received- One email the employee told me ' theres nothing more I can say'. Another told me there is no option to discuss issues like these over the phone as they do not have a number for complaints. While we have always found it unpleasant to fly with Finnair, with their unfriendly staff, old planes, non-free spirits and expensive tickets, the point when we completely stopped flying with Finnair was due to a certain incident. On a flight from Singapore to Helsinki, we had some nasty older women reclining their seats completely down while we were trying to eat. Upon politely asking them to pull the seats back up, they started calling us names and using language that I won't write here (I also think they had had their fair share of alcohol). The stewardess came to see what was happening and we assumed she would agree with us. Nope, she was very * at us instead and crammed the seat down very hard on my knees (I actually got bruises from this, I'm over 200 cm tall so the economy seats are very tight for me). She did not try to calm down the older women or care about them using offensive language at us, instead she more or less joined them in their attack against us. The Finnair economy class has almost no legroom and the Airbus A340 type of planes they have seem very, very old (compared to Emirates' Airbus A380 or Jetstar's Boeing 787 "Dreamliners"). Reclining seats make matters even worse and eating on the plane is, most of the time, so much trouble for me that often I just don't bother at all. The in-flight entertainment system screens also look like they're from the 80's. Needless to say, after this specific incident in 2011, we've made sure to mention about it to everyone we know and have thus prevented tens of people from booking flights with Finnair as we have lots of friends & penpals abroad and meet them quite often. Even though Finnair has some direct routes from Helsinki that no other airline has, we rather take a connecting flight with some other airline.

DOUBLE BAD LUCK WITH FINNAIR JUST IN ONE DAY You see, my older daughter, Ksenia, is disable person of 15 yr old. And she had to pass thru very serious and painfull surgery in Helsinki in September 4 2013. That's why I, my wife and my younger daughter ( 1 yr and 2 months) accompanied during her stay in hospital in Finland. For Ksenia mobility we have big Pixi model stroller and for my younger daughter - standard small baby stroller (Brio brand). Having check-in Moscow on Septemer 1st we got the permission to use the stroller of my younger daughter to the entrance of airplane. And the representative of Finnair at Sheremetyevo airport also advised us that she put into the system the permission to use the small stroller of my younger daughter to the entrance of airplane of our wayback from Helsinki to Moscow. And upon check-in on September 22d at stand No.217 the representative of Finnair didn't allow to keep stroller for my younger daughter with us - up to the entrance of airplane although my younger daughter is unnder 2 yr, we got the permission as I advised the above, we have disable older daughter in her big stroller and other belongings. Moreover there was no airport stroller in close vicinity. And I was really flubergasted that the said representative granted the right to keep the stroller for the pair with older kid and bigger stroller. Also I would like to stress impoliteness and not friendly attitude of Finnair rep at Helsinki airport. And we have to use not comfortable airport stroller for my younger daughter. And I passed the appropriate claim to Finnair staff upon departure to Moscow. Unfortunately it was just the beginning of our really bad experience with Finnair. As I told before we left the special stroller of my older daughter at the entrance of airplane and I was assured that we receive it upon our arrival to Moscow Sheremetyevo. But we didn't get it just because somebody at Finnair team didn't send it with us. Let's imagine - we have Ksenia after serious surgery which was only 2 wks before + my younger daughter + many suitcases, I ordered the taxi to 13:20 Moscow time. And my poor older girl had to suffer during 2 hours by desperately waiting if Finnair deliver her stroller... And it didn't happen ! We spent a lot of nervus to wait for nothing... To resume all my family really dissatisfied by so-called Finnair service and especially their real attitude to disable person.

We are flying Perth to Helsinki then overnight in Helsinki then 2 hour ferry to Tallinn then Estonian air to Copenhagen in September and have heard good reports from friends that have flown Finnair

We are considering Finnair, Economy Travel Class for our return flights from Melbourne, Australia to Berlin, Germany next year. Checking seating layout I am impressed. Has anyone recently flown this route and what is your review please...
