We had a flight from Maui to the big island. We got to the gate about 2 hours early. When no one was at the gate an hour before our flight I picked up the phone that said it was for checking in. The lady informed me that they no longer fly to Kona. I had pulled up the website the night before and there on the home page it said "flights to Kona". We had to find someone to get our bags as Delta sent them over. My orbitz itinerary never showed it canceled. We had to go over to Hawaiian air & pay for a flight over to Kona. In addition to the fee for the flight we had to pay $35 per person for ticketing it there at the gate plus $17 for each bag, we had already paid the baggage fee for Pacific Wings through Delta. Instead of getting into Kona at 3 we didn't get in until 7. Now I get to fight with orbitz to get my money back plus all the extra fees I had to pay.
We booked a flight 2 weeks before we were supposed to leave Kahului. We put in the credit card information and then when we pressed submit, it didnt give any conformation. When we called to see if our flight was booked, they said it wasn't. If we didn't call to see if the flight was booked, we would have been stranded. I wouldn't reccomend this airline to anyone. We had a flight booked from Kona to Maui today. When we reached the terminal there was only a phone there to greet us. (No Live Person). We picked up the phone to check in but we were informed that our flight was cancelled. We had already checked out of our hotel and turned our rental car in. Pacific wings would not assist us in finding an alternative flight. We had tried calling all the other airlines and they were fully booked until the next day. All Pacific Wings could do was to refund our money. In the end we had to Charter a plane at $600.00 so we could reach our destination. I will never use Pacific Wings again. They have poor customer service and do not care if you are left stranded.
