I have travelled extensively both for business and pleasure and this is the worst airline that I have ever encountered. My flight was cancelled due to technical difficulties and the rebooking system was a nightmare mainly due to the fact that SAS didn’t have the staff to deal with the rebooking as we waited hours in a queue . Finally found us alternative flights which I have now discovered that they knew was already delayed and would result in us not arriving in our location until the following day . If they had been honest with me I would have been able to cancel accommodation and saved a considerable amount of money. They promised food snd drink vouchers as they are required to do but conveniently forgot to issue them . On return filed s claim which they stated would be settled within 4/6 weeks. I reminded them after 6 weeks that they hadn’t fulfilled their obligations, they ignored my e-mail After 12 weeks I raised it again and now after various exchanges of e-mails I realise that their system is designed to ensure that they make it extremely difficult to claim to avoid having to pay compensation whilst conveniently ignoring their legal obligations . Their latest demand is that any food and drink receipt must state the names of all the individual people on the receipt .I can demonstrate how much I paid and when I paid but I am not entitled to compensation.as the names of those concerned were not printed on the receipt . When companies such as SAS drop to such levels in order to avoid paying compensation you appreciate why they have got themselves into troubled state that the have. As I cannot meet this “requirement” I have instructed them to withdraw this item from the claim I rather doubt that this is a requirement of the Authority but I shall raise this with them . I will be returning to the area again but I will very definitely not be flying with SAS and would encourage others to think carefully before they commit to such an unreliable organisation .

My flight SK0996 from Beijing to Amsterdam via Copenhagen was cancelled by SAS. Full compensation was promised within 10-15 days. But now after waiting for more than 3 months (in fact 4 months), still no refund received. Why making promises and then repeatedly telling that it is busy and that I am put on "the queue list"??

Very Bad. Because of their incompetence rescue dogs flying to Sweden from Santorini were left at the airport and had to return to the shelter. How traumatic for dogs and guardians and the waiting families !!!! Lack of care all round ... FLY WITH SAS AT YOUR OWN RISK !

Appalling airline. Ignorant, couldn't-care-less staff and managers, unwilling to help stranded passengers with accommodation at any turn after THEY cancelled a flight..." we have offered you an alternative flight..." yeah - 5 hours earlier!! ..."or you can take the next day's flight"...with overnight accommodation at our expense. Abhorrent. Awful. Avoid.

August,9, 2015 SAS overbooked me and my daughter on SK 1624 fr om Dusseldorf. We were checked in but were stopped at the gate! SAS checked in and took our suitcases at the same moment and we have never seen those suitcases again... From this moment on SAS did not provide any help, service, food, overnight facilities or anything else! The only thing the handling agency did was offering another flight to Stockholm with Air Berlin. Thirteen hours delay before our final destination! No help whatsoever in Stockholm wh ere we arrived late at night.! So far even nobody had the idea to say:"Hay, we are very sorry. Can we do anything to repair the damage done?" Although we filed complaints several times SAS simply does send an automatic reaction stating that they are busy and nothing else! And they call the complaints-department CUSTOMER CARE!!!

I have tried to call SAS at 1-800-221-2350 to make reservations for eleven people. Unfortunately the phone line keeps going dead after I press for customer service.

DEAR SIRS YOU CANCELLED MY FLIGHT FROM MANCHESTER TO GOTHENBURG VIA CAPENHAGEN ON FRIDAY EVENING 17TH JULY WITHOUT ANY NOTIFICATION OR REASON AFTER BOOKING ME IN. YOU THEN TOLD ME TO WAIT IN MANCHESTER FOR A BRUSSELS AIRLINE FLIGHT SN 2178 ON SUNDAY EVENING 19 JULY WHICH WAS LATE TAKING OFF RESULTING IN MY MSSING THE CONNECTING IN BRUSSELS FLIGHT 2319. I WAS THEN TOLD TO WAIT IN BRUSSELS OVERNIGHT TO CATCH A MORNING FLIGHT TO GOTHENBURG ON 20TH JULY ARRIVING AGAIN LATE. YOU PEOPLE HAVE WAISTED HALF OF MY HOLIDAY AND MY SON HAS HAD TO TRAVIAL DOWN FROM OSLO TWICE TO PICK ME UP. THE COST AGREED BY YOUR COMPANY TO PAY FOR A HOTEL IN GOTHENBURG WAS WASTED AS I DIDNT ARRIVE IN GOTHENBURG TO MAKE USE OF THE RESEVATION. I HAVE NOW BEEN INVOICED FOR THE HOTEL I DIDNT USE. IT HAS BEEN MOST FRUSTRATING OVER THE WEEKEND AS YOU DONT SEEM TO HAVE ANY STAFF ON DUTY ANYWERE OR AT ANY TIME. YOU SEEM TO ONLY OPERATE VIA A COMPUTER.PLEASE INFORM ME OF MY RIGHTS UNDER EUROPEAN LAW AND COMPENSATION OFFERED FOR TWO DELAYS COVERING 4 DAYS ( 17 - 20 JULY ) REGARDS

T=terrible airlines. I made a reservation in September for MaY AND NOW THEY TELL ME I HAVE NO RESERVATION EVEN THOUGH I HAVE A RESERVATION BOOKING NUMBER AND SEAT ASSIGNMENT. tHEY SAID MY CREDIT CARD WAS DECLINED AND THEY SENT ME AN EMAIL. I CHECKED ALL MY OLD EMAILS AND NEVER RECEIVED ONE. also I CALL MY CREDIT CARD COMPANY AND THEY SAID THEY NEVER RECEIVED THE CHARGE. cALL CUSTOMER AND THEY SAID THEY COULDN'T DO ANYTHING FOR ME. I AM SO MAD!

Have a very similar experience with SAS, flight Brussels-Stockholm. The attendant sat down with a friend/passenger and started complaining about her employer. Passengers had to wait for service while the attendant took about five minutes to finish her chat. No more words necessary. sean Young : I have flight on SAS-flight# SK682 from Rome to Copenhagen and the head of flight attendant have bad attitude toward non dennish speaking customers, only cater to Dennish passengerd, she offer lunch without offer bread and drink and walked away to chat with Dennish passengers like her lon lost relatives and always going back to offer more food and drinks. i will have sencond thought to fly this airlines.

Awful. I fly a lot and this was by far the worst. Plus I had over 1000 USD worth of stuff stolen out of my bag that I paid 150 USD for. Never again.

I have been trying to contact you for last week to cancel and rebook new flights due to emergency hospital treatment to our daughter meaning we needed to change flights. We have held on the phone for 25 mins on three occasions and are infact whilst typing this are holding on and have for 20 mins. our old flight was booking ZPEL2K retuning on the 14\04\2014 we will not be on this flight and have rebooked on reference 3YYODM on the 23\04\2014´. you can contact us on this Email whilst in Sweden but our uk email is henrymead@btinternet.com regards HJMead

As a Norwegian..i have travelled with SAS many times... They are almost bankrupt... They are overpriced and has really bad service... They take charge for absolutely everything! And the planes are getting old! Within 2025 there wont be any SAS i think...
