Worse airline ever, been flying for years and its first time ny backage has been lost! I am left with no clothes or belongings, I have nothing of mine and it has ruined mine and my wife's honeymoon. Bali airport are useless keep telling us they are looking for the bag, this isn't good enough at all. I will never ever use Singapore airline and will be making an official complaint, if my bagged doesn't arrive by tomorrow I will be spreading the news on social media and possibly further

Beware the stopover in Singapore with this airline. Our family flew to Laos with Singapore airlines and my husband returned home directly for work. Our 3 teenagers and myself stayed in Singapore for 4 nights on the way back. We were charged $437.50 PER PERSON i.e. $1750 for this. On repeated enquiry to the airline the only explanation that was given was that the flights were a different code. Departure tax was mentioned, with more asking as to why this charge, but this amounts to about $30 per person. I would expect a national airline to be encouraging passengers to stop and spend money in their country not penalise them to do so We won't be flying this airline again

All good things must come to an end. SIA once WAS the leading prestigious airline, one of the best in the world, but now is totally the opposite. i had a few incidents with them, but because there are limited flights that travels fr om Surabaya to Perth, i was forced to buy the ridiculous SQ fare. Honestly, ive been trying to forgive them, but i could not. Everything fr om top to bottom is terrible and getting worse. They have a customer service phone numbers but noone pick up the call. They only reply by email, which could be anyone from the middle east countries. i sent a concern feedback to them, hoping they would chnage, but for 2 weeks, not even a pre format template reply was sent to my inbox, They usually provide fast response and well mannered but those traits are a thing of the past. Have anyone taste the flight meal recently? They even lim it the amount of drinks you could get. It feels like you are flying on a budget airline. ohhh, do not forget those cocky stewardess attitude, definitely a false advertisement. Last but not least, the in flight entertainment seems does not change for the last decade. Same screen, same joystick, lim ited music and games collection, worn out earphones, smelly blankets, and dirty food tray. We pay more for getting less, thats how they shall advertise it next time. If i can trade my SQ mileage for chewing gums, i would do it in a heartbeat.

I've just discovered that if you buy tickets online, Singapore Airlines may charge a higher ticket price if you buy two tickets at once rather than two transactions of a single ticket. Stinks. Cost me an extra $200 for Canberra - Amsterdam return.

Can anyone please give me a rational answer as I've been sent from pillar to post.I am the holder of an International Teacher Identity Card ( ITIC). My query is that I am on a one way ticket home after completing a teaching stint. Do I qualify for the 10 kg extra baggage that students qualify for. I have been told that I do whilst others say I don't. I would appreciate an answer as soon as possible as I'm travelling on 1 December 2016. Thanking you in anticipation Kind regards moutiekimmie1@gmail.com

I travelled with you on flight number SQ317 on the 18th February to Brisbane and was violently sick with Salmonella poisoning, which was due to eggs being served with the yoke still runny. I had nothing to eat for at least 20 hours before I got on the flight, so I know it wasn't anything else I had eaten. I lost 10 days of my holiday and so I tried to up sell my ticket so I could extend my stay, this was suggested by your office. When I went to do this I was told I couldn't and had to pay $1.551.21 for another flight home (flight number 236). This is very unfair, I was not ill from anything other than the undercooked eggs, which the pharmacist and nurse confirmed was the likely cause. I am therefore asking that I either have the money refunded for the extra flight or the taxes returned in full for the flight I had to give up. I always though Singapore airlines were excellent but I am disappointed that standards have slipped. The meal I wanted was not available and the standard of all other meals were very disappointing. My address is 9 Epping Close, Barton Seagrave, Kettering, Northamptonshire, England. Tel 01536 726600. Your response would be welcome.

If you fly to ta foreign country you are at the mercy of the staff there and can be abused with ZERO help from the airline. They SIMPLY don't care.

Check in crew not interested, cabin crew not interested. I paid a business clas fare Jnb-Singapore-Jnb and when checked in was downgraded as apaprantly there website made a mistake. R47000, I think not. Very uncomfortable seating in economy. Food they offered me not available. Now trying to tell me that i will not be refunded the difference as that is what economy tickets cost. You are thieves and i will not rest. Disgraceful and totally ridiculous.

In January,2015, my wife booked seats for the two of us to Singapore from Melbourne and return,we experienced major difficulties attempting to contact the airline by either phone or Internet, as it happened, we had to change our planned outbound trip due to illness, but the huge cancellation fee made us change the departure dates to August, rather than cancelling the original flight, we have to pay a further S$700.00 change of date fee on top of the air fare which has risen from under two thousand dollars to $3,000, the total lack of assistance and help from a very curt staff when, after waiting forty five minutes for a response to our phone call which originated at 0950 hrs, by 1030hrs,we were still waiting then at 1107 hrs, a cryptic voice, (sounded like a response from a Call Centre, in very clipped English, certainly not a Singaporean anyway), Singaporeans speak excellent English; we were pout on 'HOLD' meantime we heard the same ghastly recorded music over and over, no verbal response until 1107 hrs and then some garbled message about having to pay more money for having cancelled our first choice back in January,we had NOT cancelled the trip, merely postponed it, meantime the airline has the airfares at the January rates, and thus would draw interest on the money, meantime we were curtly informed that a further $700.00 was required. The staff were totally unacceptable, they sounded like robots, reading from a script, no questions, now answers, as though they had been picked up from the street and, without any familiarity with the job, they grudgingly gave bits of information concerning our new dates of departure, meantime, the computer instructions made it clear that we could not change dates of embarkation on the computer but we had to speak to staff. ultimately, we confirmed (we hope) that the new dates and tickets would be sent over the NET, we did get the required tickets after first having to make a further payment via Credit Card. I have lived and worked in Singapore ever since the mid fifties, we have always flown Singapore airlines, to Vietnam, Malaysia every two years since retirement, whilst the aircraft are clean, well maintained, I find that, over the years, staff attitudes are not what they used to be, travelling economy class gets 'economy service'. We shall never fly Singapore airlines again, and as many of my business colleagues have, over the past few years experienced similar 'couldn't care less attitudes' which can only be contributed by Senior or Top management, we mere passengers are deemed a necessary nuisance, from here on we shall be using Cathay Pacific. Last year we experienced a three weeks saga over bookings with SIA as it is virtually impossible to make contact with a human being and frankly, the much exploited SERVICE theme used by that airline is little more than disgusting. I like Singapore Airline’s on board crews, they provided top services on the air. But I’m very disappointed at your agency who handles your reservation department. Please help me do something about this or I’ll inform everyone who is interested.

I booked a flight recently, after selecting to pay with air miles. I went through the entire process only to find at the end, I still had a very large amount to pay. Thinking this was normal, I continued with credit card details. Only to find, the money was on my bank statement. I immediately sent an email off to Singapore airlines in Canada. I still have not had a response from them. I am guessing they really don't care

We fly with singapore air last Jan. 23, 2014 going to Dubai. On Jan. 25, 2014 Singapore AirlineLtd. Airline House, 25 Airline Rd. 819829 Singapore informed me thru email the End of Year Christmas Package Promotion Gift from the Board of Directors of the Singapore Airlines and the KrisFlyer Membership Services which is approved and confirmed by the Singapore Changi International Airport and the Directors of the Singapore Airlines. They informed me that my email address was randomly selected by Singapore Airlines Ltd Exclusive list of 10,000,000 Million internet users... this year January 2014. It was mentioned that my email has been awarded the star prize. I just want to know if this is true. Contact person is Sam Lee? Hope to hear from you regarding the above query. Thank you very much

A refund due to me since six months, I requested 4 times over, hasn't come through yet. Now any online refund request that I submit seem to sink in deep seas. Would anyone know how/where to escalate it to higher authorities? I appears, that they (the staff in the refund dept) have zero accountability. Sometimes I feel one of them took my money already. First off, when you make a change to your reservation, if it results in extra payment they charge your credit card right away. Shouldn't the reverse work the same way? No, you don't get the refund automatically returned to your card, but you got to file an online request, which if you don't you never get it. What kind of company is that? Has anybody gone through such experiences?

I was totally disappointed with SIA from the moment I booked my tickets online till I returned from my trip. I did my booking more than 3 months ahead sometime in August 2013. The online booking system after getting me to pay for all my tickets, would not allow me to sel ect seats although they displayed right upfront that I could select my seats immediately. Subsequently I had to call the helpline, only to be held up for a good 2 hours before they told me "the management had withheld a number of seats" therefore I was not able to make any seat reservation! There was nothing they could do except to advise me to call the ground office. Now the frustrating part is why would they offer "seat reservation" but when you get to it you keep getting error message and they finally tell you you cannot do online seat reservation!? Never mind that, so I contacted the ground crew to secure my seats since I would be traveling with young kids and my extended family. The customer manager called me back and promised to fix the issue and did the seat reservations personally for me. I was relieved and even went online to download and print out the "booked seats". I thought after going thru all the frustrations I could finally rest my mind but that's not the end of the story. When I got to the airport in December 2013, my check-in tickets showed a totally different sitting arrangement and my young daughter was placed to sit on the row behind and away fr om the rest of us!! The check-in crew could not do anything, but promised me that "they will try to fix it" and would contact me for my return trip (apparently they put us on the exact sitting arrangement). I waited and waited, nothing happened. We took SQ flight back with my daughter's seat behind us. We had to juggle among ourselves and there were confusion with the child's meals as a result! I wrote to SIA to demand for an explanation - asking why they amended seats that were already confirmed 3 months ahead but guess what? Besides apologising, all they could say was they had to arrange seats based on "on a first come first requested basis" and my booking with 3 months ahead is not considered as early!? I was totally disappointed with such lame excuse and how they cover-up for their mistakes! Totally disappointed with their unprofessional way in dealing with their patrons. I am saddened for the fact that the service level in SIA I knew a decade ago has slackened so much and it is still going downhill. I absolutely would not agree they deserve any high ratings in their service. With the lousy service they render against the high charges and high ratings, they definitely don't live up to their reputation!

Was looking forward to trying Singapore Airlines, Normally fly AA ( Platinum, 3,000,000 miles) to asia, but with the labor problem thought I would try Singapore ( Tried 5 years + ago, been to asia North of 60 times). Very disappointed, from check-in to travel, and reservations. Recommend that people do not use the Virgin America, Singapore Airlines & Expedia combination, a total Disaster.

Singapore Airlines would have a great Raffles/Business Class. However I know the ticket price will not be cheap. Also besacue you are flying during June and July, the ticket prices will not be cheap besacue that is peak travel time. Right now with the economy struggling, airlines may be willing to lower their ticket prices. Since you have time, don't buy your ticket yet. I would wait until April or May but start searching in January. Also see if Cathay Pacific or Malaysian Airlines (MAS) has anything good. MAS only flies out of LAX.United Airlines also can get you there and the Business Class ticket is less expensive than Singapore or Cathay Pacific. I hear the service is not as good.If you still cannot find anything, see if the Asian travel agencies have anything within your budget. Sometimes they purchase seats in large quantity from the airlines so they can sell it to you at a discount.
