Local time GMT is +7 winter/ summer There are two terminals. domestic and international. Based airlines are Lao Airlines and Lao Skyway. Lao Centeral Airlines does not exist any more since 2014.

On 5/10/13, about 11 am, there is one Lao guy (airport staff), talk very bad to me in lounge, he walk pass and said "You should sit the chair over there, it's not polite to sit on the table". If he talk to me nice I will never get * like "Excuse me,..." and he also said that "Thai people are impolite". I have very bad experience and this guy destroy Lao image.

you can buy them at the airport, a puaolpr way is through a travel agent. Most people these days have a contact, a travel agent who can give them discounts. The smaller the operation, the better discount based on my experience.
