Hello, I'm new to BA airlines and would like to know if they offer discount \ promotions. We are planning a trip from Canada to London this December and BA is far cheaper then Air Canada or West Jet (our airlines). Thanks

I'm flying home from Dominican Republic business class on an 8.30pm flight. Can someone please tell me whether we will receive a full 3 course meal after the flight has taken off or will it just be a snack and then breakfast before we land please?

Hi - I'm new to this forum and hope you can help. I am trying to book Glascow to Dublin. I can book directly on AerLingus or I can book the same AerLingus flight on BA. The price is only a few dollars different, but the BA booking includes a checked bag. How can that be? Thanks

Hi everyone, We will be flying back from miami next November(2024) after a transatlantic cruise. The included flight will be with British Airways. We are thinking of upgrading to Business Class but I am worried about the seat configuration. Last time we did a transatlantic BA flight in Business we were disappointed in the seats - like lying in a coffin, with no room to store personal belongings. And the person next to me had to climb over my legs to get out at night. Is that still the same configuration?

I was waiting for the BA sale which has just begun. I was looking to book tickets to Johannesburg for my family. It was £2,800 before the sale. The sale price is now £3,400! WTF?!?!?!

I travel from Johannesburg to Heathrow 28 October 2012 19.30 To Heathrow , the flight attendants spray some sort of bacterial spray , pilot said was a precaution on flight, now myself and 2 children have come down with Covid. BA didn’t offer masks and now I’m sure they had Covid positive on board and didn’t tell us.

One core benefit of being Gold or Silver is that you can book your seat at the time of booking. I travel at least thrice a month within Europe and have noticed that preassigned seats are with increasing frequency being taken away in the days before departure. BA used to send an email notification if your preassigned seat had to be changed for "operational reasons" but this seems to have stopped as the airline tries to sell more seats in Club Europe at the online check-in stage. Annoyingly the people orchestrating this often move you right down the back and by the time you get to online check-in there's very little seat choice left. On several occasions I've noticed that the Club curtain moves forward again when they haven't managed to sell the extra seats but then other passengers are sat in the originally preassigned seat. A real downgrade of this benefit!

I have been trying to book a flight with BA from MSY to CAI between 6/1/24 till 6/29/24 using my vouchers and Avios but no world traveler seats available in any day on the flight from CAI to LHR. I check the year 2024 and every single day is the same way. If I book with cash everything is open. I understand this could be a business decision, but what is the point of using the mileage card, pay annual fee, spend all this money and not able to use the benefits. Any ideas?

Have booked flights to Japan from Glasgow on 16th sept. Ba flight from Glasgow to Heathrow only leaves me a 2 hour window to catch my Japan airlines flight from terminal 3 . Tried to change to an earlier flight but customer service says it can't be done because the Japan airlines flight is fully booked. Would be grateful for any advice

Paul Bravin : BA sent an email to me promoting a special offer to upgrade. When I went on the website and followed the offer link, the cost had more than tripled. So I phoned up and the guy said there were limited seats to which the offer applied, so I asked him why the offer was still on the website and he actually said "don't worry, it will be taken down"!!! I then wrote to BA explaining this. They have not bothered to respond.

No wonder BA is so low down the 2023 list of performing airlines. We purchased an upgrade from economy to premium and they didn’t have enough premium meals for us! The seats weren’t great but the service is what let’s them down most. When I complained, they became super defensive and basically called me a liar. BA are an embarrassment for any proud Brit.

I travel with British Airways extensively and I swear after each trip I will never travel with them in spite of me being a Silver member with them - Executive privileges does not give any additional privileges other than lounge access and most of them are always crowded. I tried to change my premium economy ticket flying from USA to India - but they gave me a change fare which is more than buying a new ticket online through the website. I was given a stupid reason why the change fare is more expensive than buying a new ticket. Anytime you call the customer service it always has a wait time of 30min minimum and then you get an agent who is very courteous but you feel like talking a Robot - regurgitating lines from a scripted book. Honestly, it blows my mind how people still travel on BA and how it makes money to keep afloat. I think I am done with them for good and will never travel with them.

Dear All, I would like to share my very bad experience with British Airways. I had recently the flight with this airline and unfortunatly they damaged my suitcase. Im came to my designation place late evening, and was unable to report the damage as there was no any point or counter to do so. The only administration counter open was to report issues with missing baggage etc. The airport services informed me, that I can try to come again when other British Airport plane will land on the airport and then ask the cabin crew what to do. Of course it sounds like a joke. I left the airport then and next day tried to report the issue online. However, it was only the next surprise. To report the issue online, you shall enter the number received from the airport or call the BA via phone to get such number and enter it afterwards. So, I called BA in the designation Country, and they told me that I need to call other number, but only in the working hours during the week. As it was Saturday I had to wait till Monday. On Monday I called the number I received from BA and they told me, they cannot report my issue as I need to call the BA department in the Origin Country my flight came from. And .... another surprise!!! I called the number received and the BA representative told me via phone he is not dealing with such issues and I shall call the BA services in the designation country :) When I told him I have already done it without result he told me ''I am sorry, then I cannot help you''. I spent hours trying to report the issue online and finally sent some complain to BA. Then, I was requested to repair the suitcase with local dealer and submit the bill :). I really thought it is another joke,as my suitcase was completly broken and unable to be fixed. Also I was on my vacation, and was not going to spent more time for serching any dealers for my suitcase, especially in my destination you would really have difficulties to find one. As the process was extending and I could not wait any more I was imposed to buy a new suitcase. I have sent the bill to BA and asked them for reibursment. Further to that they start asking me every couple of days for some new documents, which i provided even few times. Finally, after almost two months, they informed me that without the bill of the old suitcase, they can return only 50% of the value for the new one. But... it is still not the end!!! BA representative asked me for some extra number of the case reported on the airport even they have been informed I was unable to do it and I sen my complain online. Afterwards, the contract with BA ceased and no action has been taken by them!!! Really, I cannot belive such as big airline have such a horrible service and incompetent staff!!! The situation, which I suffered was so disapointing, I would like to warn everyone what you can expect from BA. I lot my suitcase, I lost my money, I lost my time being on my vacation, I get frustrated and finally I lost trust to this airline!!!!

Also I've taken 2 days holiday from work for nothing. The quality experience with you has dwindled the last few years but never thought I'd be stitched up like this. I'm so * , frustrated and sad. Might as well use ryanair from now on. They were lousy, as you are now, but they always got me there.

Here we go again. 22hours before I fly and the online check-in says I can only check in within 24 hours. On the outward journey it said I couldn’t check in until 5 days after the flight had left! The consequence is that I don’t get to chose my seat. As a tall, broad person, this really matters. My overnight flight will be a living hell if I’m stuck in the middle.

Hi, 6 of us booked a trip (flights and hotel) to Las Vegas through British Airways, due to take place in May 2023. The booking was made as a whole group, with each person paying a £50 deposit. The remaining balance is not due until 9th April. My husband and I can no longer go on the trip, but we are wondering whether we will still need to pay the full amount, or if the outstanding balance will be recalculated for the other passengers so that they can still go. Due to unforseen circumstances, we can no longer afford to pay for the holiday and spends.

Why is flight BA207 scheduled to depart 9.40, boarded passengers at 22 still just sitting on runway? Other planes including BA international flights have taken off post 9.40? Passengers now being told only 1 meal will be served due to staff rest when the flight does eventually depart. Really shameful!

Avoid BA from Heathrow, especially if short haul. They always cancel these flights first - see the departure boards today. Then they refuse to pay compensation despite the massive disruption they cause to travellers. Look at the departure boards today - almost every cancellation is BA. Shocking management.

The trust Pilot reviews from 6771 people show that 79% of the reviews gave only one star, and there are no replies from British Airways anywhere to be seen, this tells you everything you need to know about the BA Customer Service or perhaps more to the point the lack of it!

I need your help finding the tag number for the luggage I checked in at Gatwick Airport. London- Malaga Flight number: BA2796 The luggage is outsourced to GGS company which works closely with BA handling luggages. It seems like they have access to tag number database and not BA which I don’t understand why. Would you please escalate this case and find out my lost suitcase tag number ? It’s linked to my boarding pass/ticket so it surely can be retrieved. Please help. I’m helpless and very stressed. Thank you 🙏

Pat O’Brien : I have sent in a complaint to BA and it could take some while for answers according to websites, so I wish to pre warn elderly people who think they would be the right company to act as their travel agent, we booked holiday with them , Before we left we tried to speak to someone about our insecurities of their e mails on return flight forms etc, as they had a tick box to say we understood, but no tick box to say we had unsure items to ask questions in, we could not get in touch to speak to anyone, on our return at Airport we got there well ahead of time and could not find BA staff, we queued near front of line at checking desk, we were approached as with everyone in queue to show our contact details and test , I explained I had tried to complete this form and requested help. This member of staff was too busy, she said I must do this myself and if she had time she would come over to us ,, she said we must leave the queue stand several metres away. We are 70 (Oct) and 74 yrs old, left to try on my iPhone, (not used to typing on small keyboard); I was shaking so much as time was moving on, I broke down and cried, so much I could not speak, my husband looked for someone to help, an Airport worker came over, escorted me to an information desk, they tried on my phone for ages, to complete passenger information forms, she kept going back to BA desk who refused to come over, they never checked our immunisation to fly or look at our tickets, if they had done this they would have noticed our return to fly test was taken too early (we went to have this booked in and they did it there and then over three days early, the helper at the Airport noticed as our paperwork was completed by the help desk, the gate was closing, we were double vaccinated , the BA desk said we are closing the gate we will not take them, tell them to book another flight. By then then I could just about stand. In horror, Sirport staff said they had done all they could, they escorted us to book and pay for a second fit to fly test at £60, with a photocopy as I felt beyond using my phone to bring information up, they advised I call family, which I did, I could not speak, my husband who is not familiar with tech, asked our son to purchase tickets, he could not alter the passengers locator form, he had to purchase two more tests for day two testing at £75 each, plus flights with baggage, sit together costs, taxi altered from Heathrow to Gatwick, all in all a huge extra cost for five night break. BUT. Compare how we were treated by British Airways !!! We are older generation, not too savvy on technology, we were ordered from queue, so others could not witness our plight, if British Airways staff have no time for the elderly why are they taking bookings from them, ? Why not admit they can only deal with younger tech people? It has taken me days to calm. I have e mailed CEO of BA but I feel their response will be a long time coming. Please do not book your parents or advise them to book with British Airways. They left us so vulnerable.scared we would not get home, it took u TIL the next morning at 00.23 hrs to arrive home after most of day at Airport. absolutely agree that their cust care now is dire...I am 74 and was left in tears by them to pay another airline ˆ300 to get home..hateful company

Any Indian citizens who recently had similar travel, can you please share your experience Did you travel through HEATHROW airport to USA from INDIA ? You had to take any transit visa or DATV visa ? Is it required for flight change in HEATHROW airport for Indian citizens with USA green card ? I am planning to travel in May from USA to INDIA through British Airlines and HEATHROW airport and come back in same route. Please suggest. Thanks for your time Srini I still didn't travel and also looking for the information on this transit visa requirements for USA Green card holders with two US Citizen kids.

Is anyone travelled recently through British Airways ? I am planning to travel from USA to INDIA via HEATHROW airport and come back in the same route. I am on USA Green card with Indian Passport. Do I need to take any visa (Transit visa or Direct Airside Transit visa (DATV) ) for my flight change in HEATHROW airport. I had chat with BA customer service twice. First chat they mentioned I should apply for DATV visa and second chat they said visa is not required. I am now in confused state what to do. Please suggest if you have any information on this or you know anyone who travelled recently or any news related to this. Thank you Very much for your time. Srini

Guest : Flying to St. Lucia with BA in March. Understand submitting Negative PCR test 5 days prior to travel to St. Lucia in order to obtain entry approval, however, appears that BA require negative PCR test 72 hours prior to flight as well. Does this mean that I have to get two PCR tests within 48 hours? Will be travelling to St. Lucia next weekend - is there anyone with an idea whether a PCR test ist necessary 48 hours or 72 hours in advance? Thanks!

Our friend who was staying with us in our house in Florida had his return flight cancelled due to the 5G rollout which affected the airline frequencies apparently.. We enquired about some sort of compensation as he was delayed for three days with no notice at all except a big red message on trying to check in. Their response to his complaint was that the delay was due to Covid. Clearly a total lie. Why do that?

I'm really hoping someone can help… After not being able to travel (Covid restrictions) I was issued with a ‘Future Travel’ voucher by BA. The voucher has a monetary value of £1370, 110 000 Avios and a companion voucher from use of my BA Amex. I have to call the Future Travel team to book (I can’t do it online despite me wanting to) but it’s IMPOSSIBLE to speak to them. When I call BA they say they’ll put me through to the team that can help. I then wait on the 'phone and, every single time, get cut off after an hour. I’ve now spent over 20 hours on the ‘phone trying to book with the voucher and I’m getting nowhere. When I speak to someone from BA they say they can’t help and put me though to someone who supposedly can.. but I get put through to the same place that cuts me off. I’ve contacted BA customer complaints online but keep getting a standard message telling me to keep trying. I’ve now threatened legal action (which I’m very much prepared to go through with) but that isn’t making a difference. It’s like banging my head against a brick wall and is driving me crazy! Any ideas?

Hi, I've got a return flight with BA from Orlando in August with my wife and 3 children. On the outbound flight (with american airlines), I've been able to select seats to assure the little ones are with one of us, with no cost. On the return BA flight, it's asking me to pay anything between $50 and $106 (£38 - £78) per seat to choose. This obviously pushes the total flight price up dramatically after the flight has already been booked and paid for, but I also don't want my children, who have never flown long haul, to potentially be spread around a plane and alone. Has anyone every experienced this issue, and will BA use some common sense and place families together on flights, or is this a way to rip you off into paying more money? Any help or advice to alleviate the anxiety on this would be great.

Hi Does anybody know the BA policy on taking a package on a flight in addition to the normal baggage allowance ? The package is a smallish set of blinds which won't fit into a suitcase. Just looking to understand how BA would treat that package in terms of cost. Thanks

I have been trying to get my voucher code (from deleted email) to book a flight but BA are deliberately blocking me from doing so. I want to try to book it online but BA have lied to me saying that it can only be done over the phone. Why have it available online if unable to do so. Twice called and after being held for 25mns each time was cut off. How do i get my code

Some advice please!. On the British Airways Web Site I have booked a return flight from London Gatwick to Georgetown Guyana. There is no direct flight so there will be a connecting flight (wait 4 hours) in Barbados to Guyana . The first flight from London to Barbados will be operated by BA and the 2nd flight from Barbados to Guyana by Inter Caribbean Airways . Both of these airlines have an INTERLINE agreement with each other. My question is.. BA have told me by e mail that my checked luggage will be automatically transferred from the first BA flight to the 2nd connecting flight operated by Inter Caribbean in Barbados to Guyana. BUT Inter Caribbean have told me by e mail that even though there is an Interline agreement this does NOT include luggage transfer and I will have to recheck my luggage in Barbados! I am totally confused! Also I am going to pay for an extra checked bag to British Airways. Will that payment cover me when I recheck my extra bag in Barbados with Inter Caribbean OR will I have to pay again for the checked bag to Inter Caribbean?...will I have to pay 4 times for the extra bag on the 4 flights? My booking for the 4 flights has only one booking reference number on one return ticket issued by BA. many thanks for any advice. Reply

Hello, has anyone here have any recent experience getting a refund on the flight BA canceled? I was told refund would be given within 5-7 days but it is over 3 weeks now and nothing yet.
