I had the worst customer service experience with Qatar airways. I had purchased a ticket for $384 through their website from Abu Dhabi to Osaka on a business class. But 2 days later i was told the ticket was suspended due to a glitch in their website, and i either pay the difference or get a refund. Although i was willing to compromise and be downgraded and pay the price difference, even though the fault it's entirely qatar airways' responsibility . I was quoted a price of 4500 aed by a supervisor at the call centre (qatar branch). She never confirmed the price like she claimed she would. I was the one making all the long distance calls to the call centre just to confirm the price quotation, but the call center staff kept bouncing me back and forth among them. Finally i was told to visit the main office in my country of residence to resolve the issue of the ticket. But to my utter disappointment, i was told the ticket price had gone up from 4500 aed to 5555aed.The delay in response and negligence by qatar airways staff, has costed me 1000 aed. I believe qatar airways showed absolutely no respect or obligation towards me as their customer and i was made accountable for their error.
Abysmal. Utterly dreadful. Qatar Airways make Fawlty Towers look professional. Their plane was broken. Fair enough, it happens. But Qatar Airways spent 6 hours after the scheduled departure time telling us that we'd be boarding soon. I rescheduled work commitments on the basis of their promised departure time. They then cancelled, and made us queue for over 3 hours for baggage, coaches and hotel. We got to hotel room at about midnight and were told to be at reception for collection at 7:30 for flight at 10:30. But no-one there at 7:30; instead a message (from the hotel staff) that we'd be collected at 10:00. I rescheduled my work commitments again. But nothing at 10:00 - instead a message that they'd update us at 14:30. The Qatar Airways staff were dismissive, disinterested or just plain abusive throughout. It was all incredibly badly managed and we were treated like dirt and given no reliable information at any point. Shortly before midday, I got on a coach to Heathrow and then spent over 4 hours queuing (no information and no seats - just a tiled floor to sit on). I eventually managed to get a re-booking with another airline and eventually arrived 29.5 hours late. Qatar Airways later emailed a response to one of my earlier 'please tell me what on earth is happening' emails and apologised for the 5.5 hour delay (presumably because they are hopelessly incompetent and cannot count up to 29.5). I will never use this appallingly amateur and abusive company again.
I would seriously suggest that you use other airline. Their customer service is appalling. They have a US customer service charter but others don'r count at all. Customers in other countries have no rights whatsoever. I rather use an European airline. Customers are protected quite well and the Airlines knowingly do not break the consumer protection laws.

Me and my wife was traveled on Qatar Airline Colombo to UK on 12th Aug 2015 when we landed UK airport our baggage was not there and missing we made a complain and bag was return on next date at 6PM (after 20 Hours). We have spend on toiletries/clothing who will pay for this? We request a claim and they saying due to delay incurred was due to human error. If we missed the flight due to human error can we take another flight without paying penalty. Why 5 star airline answering with silly answer. How we can fly Qatar airways again. What is there responsibly after handed over baggage's to them. If something happen to human and they easily say we cannot pay any compensation due to technical error. Please consider this matter on human grounds any pay our reimbursement We always fly Qatar Airways and we like to fly hereafter. --

QR901 Perth to Doha on 26Jun15 - Massive fall, which was following loss of power in the cabin. Surprisingly captain didn't mention anything about the possible aircraft fault and no apologies. Is there aviation website that people could see the recordable problems, near misses and faults in the flights?
I used Qatar Airways a year back.The inflight service was bad.But the chief of cabin crew came and apologized for my displeasure and promised to improve.So,after lots of reviews I decided to risk and took a flight to Chicago from Kuwait Via Doha on 20 Jun 2015. My daughter's warning while booking was right.The moment we boarded 0721 I realized I made a big mistake.We had seat numbers 17 d e and f. I was trying to put my brief case and lap top in the over head loft.The guy started shouting you are allowed to put only one piece and others are to be put under the seat.I was trying to tell him that we are three passengers.He was not ready to listen. Finally I managed to comfortably put the two pieces one over the other in the loft. Half an hour after the flight took off I had a splitting headache and asked for water to take tablet.The guy refused to serve water telling that I'll get in break fast.My wife who is a doctor has to explain him it is a basic need to finally get water. My god, almost all the cabin crew of QA treat the passengers as criminals. Unfortunately,my return from Washington DC on 27July in QA and exploring other options.I must add the ground staff of QA are excellent.
I just want to mention that I have always been very satisfied flying Qatar Air.
We recently booked through a agency. However there was a miss spelling in one of the names of one of the passengers. The agency won't pick up the phone and just ignore us and this was a internet booking. We are not sure what to do and we called Qatar airways and they said they can't do anything about this and only the agency can change the details. Terrible Experience (Lack of professionalism + Arrogance in reply by customer service = QATAR AIRWAY) In brief, wrong information given by both check in counters in Dubai and Baku that i can obtain my visa upon arrival in Georgia with my current Shcengen visa. Airport staff in both cities allowed my to board to plane in 2 flights in Tbilisi, they informed me that rules been changed few month ago. This means that internal communication between QR station in Tbilisi and the company is ZERO. due to that BIG mistake, i have to be deported by Authorities back to Dubai. After submitting a complaint to refund me my tickets from Dubai to Tbilisi AT LEAST then to compensate me on hotel Non-Refundable charges as well as cancelled meetings.. the reply from TELL US team was (Sorry it is your Mistake).. It is very well known in travel industry that airline DOES NOT allow passengers to board any flight without eligible documents, otherwise passengers are rejected!! and due to this mistake i go a free deportation ticket back to Dubai!!! This definitely shows the level customer service offered by Qatar Airways!!! My complaint number was # 2268930
Hi, I just wondered if anyone has had a similar situation to me. We live in Perth Australia and I booked flights on the evening of the 29th November 2015 to accompany my Father to see his sister in England who had been recentely diagnosed with terminal cancer. Sadly she passed away the same day in England far earlier than anyone expected. My flights had already been booked due to the 7 hour time difference. I cancelled the flights the following morning, literally hours after booking as my Father is 82 and no longer flies haul, it was simply to see his sister one last time. I do understand there are cancellation fees but I would think all companies would look at every situation and perhaps give some consideration to full refunds in respect of these circumstances. Travel insurance doesn't cover this particular eventuality I have sent the death certificate as requested by the booking agency,which might imply airlines to give consideration to such requests. QATAR Airlines have refused any kind of refund either full or partial. Has anyone been in a similar situation and is it just a case of the fees are the fees regardless of circumstances. I have been in a service industry all my life and have always taken on board individual situations and acted accordingly not just as per the fine print. I think this is what differentiates one organisation from another. Many thanks.
Really bad experience even before flighting. First of all the customer service in belgium doesn't speak a good english and they are not accommodating in anything. My girlfriend cannot depart anymore because of health problems and i have no option with the ticket: no name change, no cancellation, no refund. Just date change for 250ˆ plus difference in fare, but since there is no other date for us to fly, it will be just wasted, no one will show up. All companies offer an alternative, even ryanair offers at 110 ˆ a name change; some others will do it for free. Really bad experience

All the information we got from captain we should wait for the better weather conditions and after that we will fly to Warsaw. Literally after 2 hours of waiting on the plane passengers were tired and hungry, but impolite crew unable to procure all passengers even of drinking water. When I asked for food (yogurt or something else), I got an answer: sorry we hadn't… though before my eyes I saw a shelf with food (snacks). It was really strange especially when such a response got pregnant women. Also I found strange thing for passenger’s security and safety when in Poznan the plane was filled of fuel without passengers’ evacuation. I flew with Qatar Airways for the first time and I was expecting much more.... Four star airlines left significantly greater impression! To refuel with passengers aboard is fully complying with international aviation rules. There are only some instructions to be followed.
Can't understand what their cabin crew are saying. worst service. always late. Why do they hire people who can't speak proper english and smokes? I thought they had zero tolerance to smoker.

The worst airport ever, not organized and everyone blame the authority who keep changing the gates with no announcement made!!! They are trying to copy the best airports by the look of it without thinking, I came on flight fr om London to Abu Dhabi and supposed to change at Doha, landed at one side of the airport and directed to gate B2 then suddenly they changed their mind to Gaye E24, a 40 minutes walk made me lose my flight, again they send me to change my boarding and take the next flight which arrive 2.5 hrs at gate C2 all printed on the new boarding and after my arrival at the gate, they changed to gate B2!!! What an idiots , another 40 minutes walk back, not worth the waiting and hustle!!! So distressing and I don't have a clue to wh ere is my luggage after all , they advertise acceptance to master visa credit and debit cards printed in the duty-free onboard, yet they don't honor MasterCard !!! Who is running this airline???who is running the airport operation??? Never again Qatar airlines , never again...!

Today on the 16th of april 2014 was the continuation of my flight from KRT TO DXB, we boarded a little late NP then we sat in the plane for almost three hours, what the captin said aome technical problem with no explanation & as i feared we were sent back to the airprt & aaahhh gone through security again at the end we were delayed almost five hour, they just keep apologizing instead of apologizing fix the problem. There was no good explanation no service nothing water & juice some shortbread thats it. This is my last flight them To ........ Qatar airways

Having just had a flight with Qatar Airlines from Perth to Doha and then on to London L.H.R.. We landed at Doha went to the terminal and back on to the bus to the plane, which they were working on as we got there sat on the plane for 1 hr, then back to the terminal know one to help us. We then were told we have to through security"again", know one seem to know the plane had broken down management and staff hope less. We went upstairs no one to help us or tell us what was happening, after 25 mins we went looking for some one to help us we were given a voucher for breakfast which was CHIPS AND BREAD AT 8AM. This went on for 2 hours no one telling us what was happening , after a lot of fuss from some of us we went into thebusiness lounge, still no one telling us what was happening first it was 12.15 ,12.45,13.15,and then 14.30. We asked to speak to the manager she was no hell at all, the management and staff had no idear and did not seem to care .I know they could not help the plane breaking down, but the staff and management at the terminal were HOPE LESS. if you are thinking of flying with QATAR well do your self a favour don't.

Qatar Airlines are an absolute disgrace! My partner found out she was pregnant 2 weeks after we paid $4k on flights from Perth Australia to Greece. We called to enquire about a refund, they said no. Fair enough I thought well could we use the flights another time, get a voucher, or change the names on the tickets to maybe fly my partners parents over to oz for the birth (ie reverse the flights) Qatar are not interested. The first customer service lady I spoke with was an absolute disgrace, and couldn't have cared less or got me off the phone quick enough. Second person I spoke to told me unless my partner had problems with the pregnancy they may consider it as "compassionate grounds" which astounded me! All in all I'm completely disgusted with Qatar, their staff and their policies ie taking people's money and not caring if peoples circumstances change. Do yourself a favour and book with Emirates!

qatar airways is BY FAR, the WORST airplane company ever, seriously THE WORST, with absolutely no customer service what so ever and incredibly expensive fees if you happen to have a baggage that weight a little bit more than the standard weight. On the phone, the ONE time I got to finally speak with a customer service agents, the man in question was absolutely rude and impolite. NEVER FLY with Qatar airways, NEVER BOOK with them or you will regret it.
Qatar airways ... Worst ever 0 start star airline rather than 5 star. I booked ticket online and as per ticket I had to stay atleast 20 hours on Doha Airport for next flight as no other connection was available . I purchased it and when I reached to airport I was issued boarding passes but later taken these back as I was asked that we changed your flight schedule for next day as you cannot stay at Doha Airport for 20 hours and you have to go back home and come again for tomorrow. This shocked to me as I travelled almost 200 Kilometer to reach to airport to fly and now Qatarairways asking to go back home and come again tomorrow . I was foreced to choose this option and in addition I had to take my luggae from Arrival area after all security clearances. This was all non sense. I really dont understand Why first tiicket was issued to me and then Boarding passes issued , and then my flight schedule was changed for next day . Further, staff at boarding counter is so rude and dont listen at all ... worst experience that I had in my life !!! Never ever recomeded this airline !!

...is there a worse airline than QATAR.... possibly...but in the food criteria...inedible! I'd rate it below the budget airlines we travel on in Asia. No hot towels...you were offered a lolly at take off. Eh? The first meal .... mmm... potato salad as starter and fish main course (of the frozen variety) with a half "plate" serving of mash potato... as if you needed more potato to go with the salad. Totally disgusting. Before landing in Dohar - a "chicken sandwich" welded to the insides of a cardboard box ... I've never seen one like it before ...with almost no chicken and a horrible brown sauce inside. Then there's the landing miles away from the Dohar terminal; a 15 min bus ride to the terminal (which is a chaotic mess). Or was it that QATAR airline staff in Paris couldn't tell us whether we could buy duty free or whether it would be confiscated in Dohar? The duty free staff at CDG insisted no alcohol if transiting in Dohar ...QATAR staff checked...and then couldn't really say either way. They simply didn't care. After the second bus trip back out to the plane in Dohar....left queuing up the stairway at night in 35 degree heat... sitting on the tarmac for an hour... with only one announcement as to the reason... we set off for Singapore. The first "meal"...a carbon copy of that same chicken sandwich in a box offered to us on the first leg of the journey. Are you kidding me! I shouldn't mention the tea served when we asked for coffee... that would be "hair splitting"... pressing the service button when completely without attention. And their tag line? "The World's 5 Star Airline" My score...half a star (the plane looked newish).
a 5* airliner ? maybe but in lies and deception then. for the rest we are talking low cost here, but that'd be ok if we were not also talking about an internet strategy designed to luring the passengers into believeing they will get what they in fact won't get. On long stop-over they promise hotel room on their website against 3 conditions that are entirely different to those applied once you get there. we are as i'm writing this, stuck with a 17 month baby for 22H in a cheap and cold and dirty lounge with a couple of towel for blankets... Me was laying down on the floor until i got threaten to be arrested for that (because of a medical condition I cannot seat long hours, stand or lay). yes, that scary. Needless to say if we had a clue about that "policy" we'd never book that trip. They stole our money and 2 days of our life on a lie. one manager dare to admit to me "there are no mistake", she has repeated it so many times with such a scary tone that it can mean only one thing : the disinformation on the qatar website is not an accident, it is designed. sad and scary philosophy. Have never experienced this kind of surrealistic nightmare with other airliners from the Gulf countries (funny how those airliners don't mention long stop over on their website while providing the rooms without a blink to those to ask as per airline agreement on +8hrs stopover) nor any other in fact; always had hotel room during long stop over since 15years i'm jumping between continents. we got an apologize and a thank you for the feedback however... how kind of them isn't it just before leaving us to rust in their dodgy lobby :burp

Well i don't want to upset any loyal Emirates or Etihad fans but i got to say Qatar were better than both of them in bsisneus class i've been so blessed and lucky i can fly and also flown on the 3 big middle east airlines to say 1st Qatar 2nd Etihad 3rd Emirates thats me..others will think im talking * .one airline i must try in bsisneus class is Oman Air their bsisneus class and overall service is pretty * good.
Well Thai for me are miles behind every other first rate alniire but thats just me flying on their B747.400 from LHR to BKK i have flown business and economy both are decades behind other alniires, business is not that bad .but economy no PTV's..in this day and age..no good at all .but on a plus side they offer 34 inches of legroom, i hear their A340.500 s offer 36 inches in economy 42 inches in premium economy and PTV's they are also starting to upgrade their fleet.

The customer representatives are rude and they are not there to help you out. These people are rip offs and they say it's apparently "The best airline" That's just * !! Do NOT ever fly with Qatar. Look at the reviews of this airline on all these sites and decide for yourself.
