This airline needs to be shut down ! They don't intend to fly you anywhere , they stranded us in ATL , where we lost an entire day of our vacation , gave each person in my party a 75 dollar credit , which my daughter tried to use months later, booked a flight and then just weeks before trip their website says that flight no longer exists. Of course we didn't get any money back . Do not book with this airline !!!!!!

Worst customer service ever. We were not allowed to sit in our assigned seats in the front of the aircraft. Simply told by William the flight attendant to move to the back of the plane. Eventually he got us close to our assigned seats but allowed someone else to sit in our seats with no explanation as to why. First email complaint generated a generic response not answering my questions. Second email has gone unanswered for weeks. Hard to believe they got a Conde Nast top 10 rating.

Guest : I wasn't there with you, but your post made me laugh! WOW. Worst flying experience of my ENTIRE LIFE! I travel often for business and decided to fly Silver from MCO to PNS (Only Non Stop flight). Never again. Outbound to PNS we board the plane, only to be told that there is a mechanical error. We De-Plane, wait 2 hours because the backup plane had all flat tires. Our total delay time ended up being 3 hours. We would have arrived in PNS sooner if we would have connected on a different airline. Ridiculous. To top it off, the Flight attendant was a real * . They are straight up MEAN and they look f'ing miserable doing their job. Our flight out of PNS to MCO the next day was scheduled for 5:35 pm. We kept receiving emails saying our flight was delayed. There was no gate attendant in the terminal, so we couldn't get ANY information as to what the hell was going on with our flight. We find out the same flight the day before was cancelled, so we were freaking out. We ended up going back down to the check in area and asking to speak to a Silver Supervisor. The guy comes out eating his Chick Fil A dinner, like everything is hunky dory and no professionalism to the concerned customers. I'm pretty positive that a Pre Req for the hiring process at Silver Airways is that you must be Half Brain Dead. These people have no idea what's going on, they're not even WORKING, and they are mean as hell. A very "Fuck You" Attitude to the customers. We finally take off at 9 pm that night... landing at midnight MCO time. Flight attendant came around the cabin ONCE to pick up trash (and it was at the end). WTF do these people get paid to do? Sit around and fly back and forth from destinations? THE MOST UNPROFESSIONAL Airline I have ever encountered in my life. Also, planes are complete * . Not worth it. Never again will I fly this airline and I'm telling you - it is worth it to fly a different airline and have a connection then to fly these people. Don't do it. The only positive thing I'll say is that the Pilots were not rude... and they got us to our destinations safely. I don't know who the CEO is, but I can tell you he's probably a piece of * .

Silver airlines....wow first a Delayed plane, then cancelled flight...minimal client service and then to top it off the voucher they provided for the overnight hotel was not honoured as no agreement exists with this hotel. Silver airlines was contacted but no credit card information or solution provided....we had to make other reservations for the night. So I had never heard of these guys but I will be contacting by travel agent upon return home and spread the word on this company. This was a comedy of errors...too many to list, only talked about a few in this post. I am shocked they are even aloud to be in business....the state of Florida should step in and ensure they provide an adequate service. It is a regulated industry, after all, isn't it. Hey, with the power of the internet today the word will spread quickly. Best of luck in the future Siver airlines.

It's impossible to speak with someone when there is an issue.I have a problem with a Travel Bank. I show more funds available then Silver does. I have sent numerous emails to Guest Relations and no one responds to this problem. I have tried calling, also unable to get anyone to help. They send me to Guest Relations where no one responds. I am planning to contact an attorney in hopes that someone will actually talk to me then. At this point it just feels like Silver has stolen $ from me.

I booked a flight in January 2016 (booking CKKCFE) You changed the return time and I had to cancel my vacation (Through Expedia #1118666764947) I was informed that my air fare would be refunded! Silver Aurways us filing false flight plans so departure 5 :12 pm for flight 146 on Tuesday Oct 6 shows on time dparturw. however they did not take MORGANTOWN passengers. flight aware shows departure on time. Silver Airways says delay now to after 7 pm AFTER too late to switch destination and customer SERVICE horrible. IAD airport to MORGANTOWN only airline. thus is criminal ! Wish I knew how to report as I have screen captures of the misinformation.

I am sure that the gate and flight attendants must field a lot of complaints due to the constantly late planes. The most rude and confrontational I have seen. Made the mistake of booking with this company for 4th July 2015 (first time experience and last!) I've been flying all over the world for 32 years, including significant time in 3rd world countries. Never in my life have I experienced worse air travel than to deal with Silver Airlines in Florida. Their Gate Agents are useless and constantly misleading flyers into believing your flight will depart ... eventually. Customer Service on the phone? Fuhgetaboudit!! Delays upon delays upon delays without explanation. If you are foolish enough to buy a ticket from these horrible scoundrels, then plan on sitting around in an airport until your flight departs ... if it departs. They also cancel without explanation. They receive subsidies from the US govt for providing 'essential air service' which seems to be the only reason for their existence. If taken on face value as a 'real' air carrier, then they are a total fraud. For most of their routes in Florida, you are better off renting a car and driving. In that manner, you secure your time -- you control your schedule. Otherwise, if you expect to board one of their aircraft, then you are a hostage to the roulette wheel they use to determine when and whether they actually take-off. There is really no good reason for anyone to subject themselves to the capricious (mis-)operational antics of Silver Airways. Don't be a dope. Walk, swim, drive ... anything but Silver Airways. (I'm very pissed off that United does a code share with these scoundrels; it's what led me to believe Silver could be trusted. However, based on my experience with Silver and based on what I've read since flying with them, I have to conclude someone at United must have been paid off to cut a deal with these rogues.)

Silver Airways had a 4 hour delay on a 1 hour flight, which made me miss my international flight. I'd highly recommend avoiding them. They did not compensate me for the loss of finances or European vacation time.

I travel nearly every week. Because Silver Airways is the only airline that has non-stop flights from Tallahassee to Orlando and from Tallahassee to Tampa, I often fly this airline rather than Delta through Atlanta or American through Miami. The gate agents always seem to be at the end of their rope. They are generally rude and appear to be overworked. The flight crews, on the other hand, are usually very friendly. Unfortunately, they are NEVER on time. Check FlightAware.com, if you doubt this. Their 7-day average departures tend to run in the 1 to 2 hour late realm. God forbid that you would be on their last flight of the day as it will often be canceled because the lengthy delays result in working hours for the crew that exceed FAA crew rest requirements. NEVER trust the posted time, even if it shows a delay. I watched three people last Friday who were trying to go to Panama City, Florida from Tampa as they missed their delayed flight. Silver posted a 1 hour delay, but then the flight left only 5 minutes late. I was flying from Orlando to Tallahassee in February when our flight was delayed due to mechanical problems. After waiting an hour past our departure time, the gate agent announced that the flight was now delayed. She offered meal vouchers to the passengers. I took the offer and returned only 20 minutes later ($10 won't buy much of a meal in the Orlando airport) only to discover that my flight had departed. She claimed that they made announcements, but I never heard one. Last Friday, I was scheduled on the 3:54 pm flight from TPA to TLH. When I arrived at the airport, the flight showed a delay to 4:17. This delay remained on the board until around 6pm. Our actual aircraft and crew landed at 6:21pm, but instead of making a quick turn around, the agents handled three or four other flights. Eventually our flight was canceled shortly before 8 pm due to crew rest requirements. We were told that we could seek refunds by contacting customer service. We were not offered meal vouchers or hotel vouchers even though the cancellation was entirely Silver Airways fault. When my email requesting a refund received no response for 3 days, I called their Guest Relations number (buried on their web site 800-229-9990). Guest relations was able to produce my refund...let's see if it hits my account. The bottom line is that if you have time to spare, go by Silver Air. They are bloody awful!

Engine trouble on two of the three planes we boarded from Ft Lauderdale to Key West , 4 hours on the Tarmac and 6 hrs latter we reach our destination. The return flight tire trouble , we tried to get another flight after waiting four hours and it has engine trouble . We have missed two connecting flights due to delays. Worst, most Getto airways ever .

Wow, I can't say enough. A rating of '1' is too much. I've had the misfortune of traveling with Silver for the first time, and my experience has been the worst I've ever had in 45 years of traveling. First and foremost, the fare price is very high for such inferior customer service and treatment of passengers. While on flight 94 to TCB we experienced a 35 minute wait inside the plane stopped on the tarmac. The hottest, most horrible heat conditions no one should be forced to experience. Especially if you suffer from a respiratory condition. No valid explanation was even given to the passengers to buffer the horrible condition we were experiencing. While awaiting my return flight 94's unannounced delay of 3 hours at the TCB airport today, I overheard many passengers say they will miss their scheduled connecting flights home. Again, extremely disappointed at the customer service and treatment. However, I will reiterate my concern once again regarding the exorbitant fares for this horrible, inferior "airline". You can be certain that I will voice my concern on every travel website I'm a member of. I had planned this to be my yearly stress free vacation travel. My first AND LAST time giving them my money.

Never on time and then attitude from the "supervisor" Most unreliable airline around. If they actually have a mechanical issue literally every weekend maybe driving is the smartest and safest idea. Don't understand how you can book a flight and they agree to get you to your destination but almost never do this. How can they be allowed to fly

Do not use this airline !!!!! Booked my teen-age Granddaughter ( flying alone ) out of Ft Lauderdale - Jacksonville tonight. Departure was originally for 7:07 pm. Her father dropped her off an hour early. Then she was told flight was delayed to 8:30....then 9:30...then 10:00...Finally departed at 11:00 pm...She was waiting for 5 hrs...By the time they told her 11:00 she tried to find something to eat and all was closed...The was the only flight that was delayed today...All earlier Silver flights were on time....No reason given...I will be on the phone tom with Dept of Transportation's Aviation Consumer Protection and Silver Corporate....Horrible !!!!!!

This is the worst airline I have been on . These people just cancel flights one after the other. So if your in a critical time frame " DO NOT FLY SILVER "....And if you think you will be compensated for your time and expenses GOOD LUCK They told me I would be compensated for all the trouble they caused !!!! Yes they offered me a $50.00 voucher yet they cost me over $200.00 in expenses for hotels and taxi .... I really do not care about the voucher because I would rather walk than fly SILVER again So fellow flyers be Warned This is not a good airline no matter what they say in there promo!! Just ask the other 200 people who where stranded with me Remember these planes only hold 30 people so you figure how many other planes where cancelled for 2 days and it was not due to the weather !! Avoid Silver Airways! If I can save even ONE passenger from the hassle of booking with them, then my time writing a review will have been worth it. And please, if you have had a bad experience with them, file a complaint with the department of transportation ... dot.gov If I could give negative stars, I would. Their customer service is terrible & their employees are completely incompetent. I paid more than double for the convenience of flying directly into Morgantown in March, 2015 rather than flying in to Pittsburgh and renting a car. I should have paid a lower fare and used the extra money to rent a car. I flew from SLC to Dulles, arriving in Dulles at 8:30 pm. I had been checking all day long for cancellations and delays and none were ever posted by the airline. When I got to the GATE I was informed that they had cancelled my flight! Finally, just after 11 pm, they loaded the disgruntled passengers onto two shuttle vans and DROVE us to Morgantown and Clarksburg. We arrived at 3:30 a.m. The airport was locked up tight, of course. They offered no compensation for their failure to deliver on the product sold. They have since offered a $100 voucher but that is worthless to me. 1. I live in the West and they are a regional east coast carrier. 2. WHY on earth would I risk my time by giving these clowns a second chance? So, since I cannot get any cash refund, I will make sure that I cost them at least $100 in lost revenue and fares by letting other potential customers know what they can expect if they book a flight on Silver Airways. Be smart -- fly with someone else!

WILL NEVER USE SILVER AGAIN!! After spending 10 hours in Key West airport March 2015, we are still waiting for any response from Silver re: the $700 in hotel, taxi, parking expenses incurred because of Silver's repeated delays. Even the taxi drivers in Key West are aware of the poor service by Silver Airways since they get to listen to so many complaints from passengers who have been inconvenienced by Silver's pitiful performance.

Despite the many complaints about Silver Airways, the Department of Transportation currently provides this airline with $20 million in subsidies annually. This money is provided through the Essential Air Services program, which compensates airlines that serve rural areas. Here's the DOT's report from April, 2015, listing how much Silver Airways receives for each designated rural airport it serves: www.dot.gov/office-policy/aviation-polic... The WORST airline on the planet! I spent DOUBLE the amount of money for the "convenience" of flying in and out of Morgantown, WV when our daughter had her second baby in March. I arrived in Dulles at 8:30 pm (I'd been monitoring Silvery Airways website for any delays all day long and nothing was amiss ... or so I thought) expecting to fly to WV at the scheduled time. I got to the gate early and even though the board at the gate indicated no change, I learned that the flight had been cancelled. Nearly three hours later, we were put on two different shuttle vans to be DRIVEN to Morgantown & Clarksburg. This is a four hour drive fr om Washington DC. I and 5-6 others were captive in a van for four hours with another person who was very sick. So I was also sick within a couple of days. We arrived in Morgantown after 3 a.m. at a * , deserted, locked airport. They offered nothing to compensate all of us for this inconvenience. I have since contacted them and the Department of Transportation (this is wh ere to lodge a complaint, by the way -- they are responsive and log the complaints and the airline can end up fined). Silver Airways offered a paltry $100 voucher for a future flight -- as IF flying with them sounds attractive?? I live in the West -- I'm NOT going to go to the east just to use the crappy voucher and * my time again! Since I cannot get $100 of the $300 I paid I can at least post my experience and COST them $100 in lost airfare purchases. And if you purchase through Orbitz ... I did ... don't expect them to help you at all! I will never, ever purchase any travel arrangements through them again. First and last time for me! Next time I'm headed to Morgantown, WV I will fly into Pittsburgh and rent a car! It will be faster and cheaper in the longrun!

The. Absolute. Worst. Ever. Got here and checked in at 10:00am for a 12:00 flight. We were delayed with no time of when we would be leaving . We had to sit by the gate all day because they don't make announcements loud enough to hear anywhere else in the airport We finally got on a flight , 4 hrs later just to sit on the runway for 30 mins. They then turned us around and brought us back in the airport and made us get off the plane because of a "light" issue. It is now 7pm and we are still sitting here with NO EXPLANATION!!! do NOT fly this airline.

Never, never, never, never, never, never, never again! Did I say never? Two thoughts: 1, The Bahamian government and Great Abaco chamber of commerce should be VERY concerned about Sliver. I can't be the only one who will never again travel to the Abacos if the only airline option is Silver. 2, Friends don't let friends fly Silver Airways.

Worst airline experience ever. Flight from Marsh Harbor Bahamas to Orlando delayed over 3 hours due to a "weight and balance" issue in Orlando - too many people and too much luggage so they had to offload some weight. So it seems they don't consider weight and balance until AFTER they have loaded the plane? Missed our connecting in Orlando (had a 4 hour layover but thanks to Silver we still didn't connect). Silver agent at baggage claim had no clue who we should talk to about a hotel/meal voucher - "I don't know, maybe you should go to United, maybe to Silver, I'm not sure". Went to United, they sent us to the Silver ticketing desk. Took about 2 hours to get hotel and meal vouchers. Why? Because the manager was also dealing with 1 cancellation and 2 delayed flights. While waiting in Marsh Harbor to depart every announcement had to do with a flight being "delayed" followed by an "extended delay". Hopefully this company gets what they deserve and folds, everyone will be better off.

Sadly, yet another annoyed passenger adding to the negative comments. Had a simple business day in Jacksonville, FL to attend to. Departing flight from Tampa was delayed for 35 minutes and by the time I arrived, I was 45 minutes late on a 48 minute flight. Later the same day, I arrived at the airport for my 4:20 PM flight only to find it delayed...already...to 6:20; then 6:39 and now 7:09 PM. No one can tell me why and no one cares. Next time I will walk; or run; or take the train because this airline does not care about their passengers at all.

Every one of these reviews is abso!utely true. It's the same story over and over and over again. How can Silver Airlines continue to be in business? Delay, dalay, cancellation, lost bags, had to go to airport and demand our bags, which had been there the who!e day, rude customer service, customer service made an announcement for passengers NOT TO APPROACH THE DESK SINCE THERE WAS NOTHING THEY COULD DO ABOUT THE CANCELLATION. Never, under any circumstances, book this airline, or you will also be writing a similar complaint.

I will never fly on Silver again. They are never on time and delay and cancel flights with no rational explanation. I was recently connecting in Tampa for a flight to Key West and our flight was delayed for 4 hours. There were people in the gate area who were scheduled for Charleston on a 9 am flight who did not leave until close to 6pm. Silver's gate personnel don't seem to have a clue regarding what is going on and tell one tale after another to passengers. I would guess that Silver has a pretty high employee turnover rate because I don't think that a normal human being with a conscience and a normal tolerance for stress could exist under those conditions for very long. I will be writing United Airlines in regards to this company. My fare was purchased through United and United sub-contracted with this company. In looking at these reviews I am sure that United is well aware of who they are doing business with so they, and other large carriers who sub-contract with Silver share responsibility. Unless you like being jerked around, suffering substantial delays or cancelled flights then avoid Silver Airways.

The staff is unfriendly and the flights are always delayed and each staff member will tell you something different which tells me they have no clue what's going on regarding flight status. Maybe it's because every time I talk to a member of silver air their response to me is, "sorry I'm new here." Neve fly this airline if you want to make it to your destination!!!

So, just went to check the DOT report on how many complaints Silver Airways had and there were only 6 for the Jan 2015 report which was for Dec. 2014. Everyone HAS to go file a complaint or the DOT and FAA folks will never know. www.dot.gov/sites/dot.gov/files/docs/201... I'm nervous for my flight in May. One bag lost, the other one broken. Flight delayed, over 50% of the flights on scheduled to depart were delayed. I spent over 1 1/2 hours at Tampa airport trying to file a claim for my damaged luggage. This was after calling at least four times and being passed around, promised return calls etc. After the hour and half on Sunday, I was told I'd get a call back the next day, well now it's well into two days later and nothing. Tried calling headquarters and am getting nowhere. I will not, unless it's a desperate situation, ever fly this airline again. And the flight, itself on the tiny propeller plane was bouncy, felt like we were going to drop out of the sky a couple of times. Really bad experience.

I concur with all the other assesments that have been posted. Worst experience EVER. I think they made a movie years ago about the experience we JUST had (Planes, Trains and Automobiles). Long story short, same as all the other reviews. Cancelled last minute plane, new booked flight w a 12 hour layover which also ended up leaving 75 minutes late becasue they had to change a tire! Really? You didnt notice this BEFORE the flight was supposed to leave.......and of course once landed....you got it....NO BAGGAGE! Customer service is exceptionally AWFUL. And they are only open from 7am - 12PM. So when you arrive and realize your bags have not arrived with you a) you have to wait unitl 7am the next day to file the claim and b) becasue you didnt file it right away ( hello! no one was there to do that with!) you arent eligible to have them bring the bag that THEY lost to your door. Never EVER again........

Would never, ever fly with them again. Booked via Jet Blue who partners with them. The day before our flight, I just double checked online and Silver changed their leg of the flight without notification, leaving us no time to make the Jet Blue flight, spent two or three hours on the phone trying to get the flight changed. Jet Blue finally helped us so now we are all set for the next day or so I thought. Nope, get to Key West airport and they hemmed and hawed and said the flight was cancelled due to mechanical problems, no call, nothing. We had been originally flying into Orlando then direct on Jet Blue to Boston. Surprise, now we are on Delta for three flights and the third flight, another surprise, Silver didn't confirm us and we didn't have a flight out of Raleigh. Delta, fortunately had a flight 2.5 hours later so they booked us on it and then we finally go in Boston, almost five hours later than the original flight. What a disaster. Oh yeah, one of our pieces of luggage was left behind but I will say they did deliver it to us the next night.Not sure if it was Jet Blue or Silver's fault. I'll pay the extra and fly Delta to Key West in the future. Jet Blue, you are a good airline but you are a fool to partner with Silver. Lost us as a customer. My advice, if you are flying Silver, change it. No guarantees with them. horrible.

Worst airline I've ever flown on. Flight time was changed 3 times. Printed my boarding pass late the afternoon before my flight. Arrived at Key West Airport at 7:00 am for my 8:05 flight. Was told my flight was boarding & I needed to hurry. They changed my flight to 7:15. I was rushed through security & the last person on the plane. As a result, my luggage is missing. I waited 3 hours at the airport while flights arrived from Key West. Their office is closed by the baggage area. Went up to ticketing and finally made a lost baggage report. Was to call Santos to see if my suitcase arrived. Santos was never available and no one contacted me. This was yesterday...today I am going back to Orlando Airport to try one more time. I am supposed to drive home to Pittsburgh today...will be waiting until tomorrow. Will never fly Silver Airways again!

The absolute worst, avoid at all costs. They bumped my mentally disabled brother in clear violation of their own contract of carriage (yes, I actually read it) and I just got off the third one hour hold/call with their so-called customer service line, re-explaining how they incorrectly coded the replacement tickets which meant that JetBlue sold the tickets to someone else before I was able to DRIVE from Key West (the original point of departure) to Ft Lauderdale.... Had to buy NEW tickets $$$$ then DRIVE to West Palm, book a hotel and finally fly them out. Still trying to get some compensation for the hundreds of dollars this cost me. Kudos to Jet Blue for trying to help me-- Silver personnel were clueless throughout. I WILL NEVER FLY THEM AGAIN UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES.

My wife booked us on silver roundtrip from tallahasse to marsh harbour in june for my brothers wedding. After reading all the terrible reviews here and on other sites- I am starting to freak out and we are thinking of buying tickets from anotherairline. I would rather spend more money and ensure we are able to enjoy our rare 6 day vacation!!!

DO NOT FLY THIS AIRLINE!!!!!! It is the worst of the worst. They gladly take your money, but have no customer service or respect for their maine company asset: their customers. They cancel and change flights without notifying the customer. So, when you get to the airport and check in you are told that the flight already left! So, in order to get on the next flight, you have to pay the $75.00 per person change fee. They claim this is a 'voluntary change' when in fact, Silver Airways made the changes and did not notify the customer. Just DEPLORABLE! They delay and cancel flights repeatedly. Head to this warming....DO NOT FLY THIS AIRLINE unless you want to spend a whole day of your vacation sitting at the deck. I am going to report them to the Transportation Board as well as the Business Bureau in Florida where I flights were scheduled. Spend a few extra dollars to get to your destination. It will be well worth it and you can avoid the nightmare and headaches. They are the worst of the worst by far!

Flight from Key West to Ft Lauderdale was weight restricted at the last minute with no notice to passengers. We were not 1 of the 10 that made the cut. The airline was short-staffed to handle all the re-routing, and some of the staff did not appear properly trained to handle re-routing. Ultimately booked on Silver to Tampa (which departed one hour late) and then out of Tampa on United the next day. When arrived in Tampa at the hotel that Silver booked for us, the hotel denied the voucher saying Sliver doesn't pay its bills. We were never notified of the denied booking with the hotel when we landed in Tampa. Now I am out a day of work, extra parking and a hotel bill, and I suspect I will not have any luck submitting these invoices to Silver for reimbursement. Steer clear of this airline or prepare to * a lot of your time (and money) in airports and hotels.
