How did you apply for refund? I can’t get through on telephone and can’t see how to request refund. My flight was due to depart in 6 days! Guest : I applied for a refund after we had to cancel our trip with Easyjet to Krakow on 22/3/20. I have an email from customer services stating that a refund is being processed. I cannot get through to them and how can they process a refund if they don't have my credit card details, or do they keep it on record? any help will be greatly appreciated.

The number I rang was 0330 365 5000 and it was about 3pm on Sunday, I have received the refund into my bank account this afternoon !!!!! Guest : Mary : I have eventually spoken to Customer Services after a 35 minute wait on the phone. They are going to refund my return flight to Faro on April 27 to my credit card within 3 to 5 days. What was the number you rang and what time of the day?

Sharon : After a 2 hr wait I got thru to 'customer service ' to be told their system was down so couldn't do the refund process. I was to do it online. I said there is nowhere online to do it as It searched for hrs the previous evening. I made her stay on the line while she guided me to the online form. She said once completed I would receive an email confirmation & I would have the refund in 7-10 days. That was 16 days ago no confirmation no refund!! I've just heard on news that Easy jet will run out of money by August and the financial director has been sacked so I would imagine no refunds any time soon if ever. They are a disgrace & even if they survive I will never fly with them again. Listening to Martin Lewis, we don't have to accept vouchers, they are legally obliged to give refunds. First port of call is EasyJet customer support!! we all know thats a * of time, next contact Visa and request a charge back, Visa should give us our money back. Easyjet will lose so many customers in the future due to their poor performance in desperate times. Good luck all!

Easy jet have cancelled my outbound flights, I have been trying constantly to get through to their "customer services" just's cuts me off! Has anyone actually got through to them? Why can you do everything else on line bar get a refund? Poor PR for their company, pretty short sighted as once we all get through this people will remember their experience!

My flights have been cancelled. I have no requirement to go at another time and need a refund. Customer service line says to go to manage my booking and then cuts you off. Manage my booking does not have an option to get my refund. What can I do?

Impossible to get through to Customer Service on the phone. I have tried for 3 days now. I want a refund as we cannot re-scheduled cancelled flight and voucher option offered on line is only available for 6 months. EasyJet should allow passengers to claim for a refund on line - why are they not offering this options?

Guest : Easyjet promised me a refund “within 7 days”. 15 days later and I’m still waiting. Kirsty Mountain : EasyJet have cancelled my flights but I have been trying unsuccessfully to reach them by phone for 5 days in order to obtain a refund and can't get through. I am not able to rebook and need the refund. I have been furloughed and my husband's business has collapsed. Please advise how I can obtain a refund. Many thanks. John H. : I have had an easyjet account for years but I recently logged in & changed my email address. After completing this I was informed that any current bookings I have will still have to be managed through my original email address. Not a problem though because as long as you have your booking reference you can check in online with just that. Now the problem, I need to amend some details on one of my forthcoming flights & I can't login to my account with either my old or new email addresses. I have tried the "Forgotten your details?" link using my original email address which is still active BTW (& the new one) countless times but never receive a reply. Obviously this is something caused by me changing email addresses whilst I still have booked flights coming up but can anyone help me get around this please? Many thanks John H. Janet : 😎I’ve waited for hours in a queue, I’ve tried to send emails but mailbox full. I have same problem. Easyjet cancelled my outgoing flight 2/4/20 but not return on 30/4/20. I tried to change flight online to a year hence April 2021 but flights after February 2021 not online yet. I found the direct email for the Customer Services director and I’ve told him vouchers are unacceptable if they only last 6 months- my understanding is that you’d have to fly within 6 months (but I get your point that you may have to use them rather than fly within 6 months) The coronavirus might be around until the end of the year or beyond that’s why I want to change to next April. I’ve pointed out to the director that I’ve changed an expensive Airbnb booking but I can’t change my flight and the advice to contact the call centre to request a refund is ludicrous as it’s impossible to get through. I think my solution will be to change my return flights to any time at the end of the year (free of charge) then change them again when the April flights come online, but I will be charged for the changes 😡 Also, it seems to me Easyjet are keeping our money IF we can change flights and then they may go under. I think everyone should bombard the customer services director with emails ..... QOUTE] steve w : Hi, my flight has been cancelled and I can't get through on the phone to easyJet to ask for a refund. There are no flights I want to transfer to but I can get a voucher from them which is valid for 6 months. I would do this if I can be sure that the validity period is for bookings in the next 6 months when the flight can be any time, ie more than 6 months away. My question is - does the validity period refer to flights in the next 6 months or is it the period when you make a booking, regardless of when the flight is? Easyjet always release their next block of flights in September and that's when I'd be looking to use the voucher. I'd be grateful for any advice. My easyjet flights to Malaga 18/4 & return a week later will undoubtedly be cancelled. Should I still do an API & check in while I wait to hear? I have ignored their email suggesting I re book to another date as I want a refund. Haven't had one to say check in is open though.

easyJet nothing is easy. Want a refund for April's flight but cut off on phone My partner is a teacher and has had all leave cancelled for foreseeable. Give me a refund as I have paid 8 months ago. Get a life easyJet and allow people to refund on line and not through your never answered phone line. Still 9 to 5 for a reason??? Never thought I would say this but even Ryanair have better customer support.

Hi, you're mixing refund and compensation. A refund you are entitled to (if you can get through to them), compensation you are not owing to the exceptional circumstances.

Guest : easyJet cancelled my flight on the 30th and when I submitted a claim for a refund this is what I got back- their reply is that I am not entitled: Decision summary: We're sorry that your flight was cancelled. Our assessment and legal team has carefully reviewed your claim and the circumstances around your flight and have confirmed that your compensation claim is not eligible for compensation payment under EU Regulation EU261/2004. If the flight didn't happen shouldn't we get a compensation? The plane didn't take off and so they are saving a lot of costs derived from the flight (such as petrol)

Flight Mallorca to Liverpool was cancelled. I chose refund, email said refund in seven days. Ten days later nothing. The return flight I tried to amend to November but it said no flights available. Strangely when I did it as a new booking I could book. Now the return flight Newcastle to Mallorca mid April is not showing as cancelled. If it does I want a refund not a voucher, why should I have to ring the impossible to contact call centre, make refund available online as before. And why haven’t they cancelled the flight? It won’t go ahead. I won’t forget this poor service shortly after they handed Stelios sixty million.

my daughter and her partners family 8 in total are stuck in Cyprus, they had a return flight booked for the 22/03/20 and this was cancelled then rearranged by easy jet for 04/04/20 this has now been cancelled, they offer a alternative on their web site for tomorrow 29/03/20 by every time i or they try to change it. it gets through to FINALIZE and then says error please ring. well we have all been trying for 36 hours and you either get engaged or cut of after a message. Mt daughter and partner plus other will if not back soon potentially loose their homes and jobs due to the incompetence and blatant fraud of easy jet, they are not offer refund they are not fully cancelling flights so we can claim off insurance. My daughter will COULD POSSIBLE LOOSE EVERYTHING we have contact the High commission on the foreign and commonwealth office there reply is there is nothing they can do until they are stranded because Easy jet are offering another flight WAKE UP yes easy jet are offering alternatives but you cannot book them is just a scam to delay the inevitable EASY JET IF THEY HAVE TO REFUND WILL GO BUST, well bloody hurry up and do it then the Government might take bloody notice and get the British Citizens home

My parents and thier friends are trying to change thier flight and on the website when they try to manage the booking it lets them change the outbound but then the inbound won't work. One of them is booked as a return and one has booked the legs of the journey separately. It makes no difference if they change destination, and my parents comes up in euros on the return flight and then won't let them do it? Mum has spent hours on this, calling before and bang on 8am day after day, I think they are simply not answering thier phones anymore. Sad for a family of regular and long term customers to not be able to reach anyone. And finally, if they went on to book a new flight the app will let them do it!!! (Original booking April to change to October 2020 on a return flight to Lisbon)

With this worldwide health problem is it not realistic or safe that people will not want to go on leisure breaks for some time. My wife has booked a flight with EasyJet in April - a leisure break to South of France. Obviously she is not wanting to travel at all. Easy jet say the flight can be moved to another date. Don’t think that is the priority - going later - when is it going to be safe. We did not create this problem. Flights were booked in good faith - Fares should be refunded - end of!

I am booked to fly to Agadir on 31 March. That flight has been cancelled but not, as yet, the return flight on 7 April. I do not wish change my flight. Athough a refund is possible in theory, you now have to contact customer services. That is impossible on the phone line (03303655000). In order to protect my position I have Emailed customer services to register a claim (customer.support@easyjet.com). I will also write (recorded delivery) to their registered office (easyJet Airline Company Limited Hangar 89. London Luton Airport Luton Bedfordshire LU2 9PF) with copies of the booking details and screen prints of the website advice. I have previously taken Easyjet to court and won over a dispute as to whether we were too late to board a flight so I am ready to do that again if necessary.
