Booked a same da round flight from TIJ to BJX for a family emergency. The flight to BJX (with ViVa) was cancelled due to bad weather, so I never actually made it to my destination. The flight back was supposed to be Volaris, they refused to help at all, they said there was no way to get a refund or adjustment, which I get it, the original cancelled flight was not them, but why do they still charge the TUA, if I was never actually at the airport? Anyone know if a refund on this fee is possible? The TUA fee is the most expensive fee tacked on to the price of a ticket to Mex.
Guest : Brian : Had a round trip flight booked through Volaris. Frontier air was to operate it out of Chicago to Cancun. Frontier has no record of us, but Volaris still shows us the the flight. Now Volaris is saying Frontier hasn't confirmed the flight, but it still shows as an option on the Volaris website. What does this mean? Did you ever figure this out?`
My flight was scheduled for 12:17 from Lax to Mexico , it was 110 am when we started our flight. They were moving people to a different seats all the time including me. No body explained anything. They didn't say what time it will arrive to our destination. I have a connection to get to my final and Im not going to make it on time. How can we ask for a refund for all the inconveniences
Hey I travelled with volaris a few days back my package was supposed to be released immediately but at the departure it claimed that under the code of 8887297079 You have to pay a fees of $213.98
Im trying to pay for my carry on and the app or website and it won't let me, I called customer service and my cards are locked so I have to pay at the airport? Why so they can charge me more?

I am unable to sign in my Volaris application, but I can sign in by the web site. I did check “Terms and conditions as suggested by the Volaris question and answer but the problem still exists. Please help me to solve it. Thank you.

My family was scheduled on a Volaris flight LAX->MEX on Sept 1. It was cancelled, we were rebooked on a flight for Sept 2, and offered a $200USD credit each. When I try to use the credit, only $65USD is applied. What the heck??? When I try to call, I am directed to a WhatsApp bot. Does anyone have experience with this? Also, this is the fine print at the bottom of the credit--it seems contradictory: The electronic credit applies to the payment of the fare, taxes, duties and the TUA as published in Volaris.com at the time of purchase. It is not transferable, negotiable, exchangeable, reimbursable or exchanged for cash. If there is a difference when using the electronic credit, the customer will have to pay for such difference. It is valid to purchase for 180 days after it is issued and to fly within the next 12 months. The electronic credit may not be used with other promotions or other electronic credits, therefore you may only use one electronic credit per reservation. Once you use the electronic credit, you may not cancel the purchased ticket, and you cannot request the reimbursement or replacement of the electronic credit. * Note: Remember that your electronic credit can be used only to pay for the base fare of your flight; you can’t use it to pay for taxes, the Airport Usage Tax or any other charge. Besides, it applies in one exhibit only, which means that if the the fare of the flight is higher than the amount of your electronic credit, you must cover the difference and the corresponding taxes. If the fare is lower, the difference is lost given that it is not accumulative. If you don’t use your electronic credit before the specified date, it will be lost and you won’t be able to use it anymore. Once your credit is applied to your reservation, you can’t make any cancelation. Flights subject to availability.
Yes, Volaris Airlines offers free cancellation airline tickets to its customers. There are some policies that passengers must follow before canceling the flight. Passengers who wish to cancel their flight without any cancellation fee must cancel tickets within 24 hours of departure. Look for the expiration date on the tickets. If the ticket expires, there will be no cancellation. There will be no free cancellation for non-refundable flights. Passengers can call the airline's customer service center to cancel the flight 3 hours before the flight. Here is solutions: www.changebooking.com/blog/volaris-airli...
Website won't let me check in for my flight tomorrow, from USA to Mexico. Come on, Volaris.
Our flight was scheduled at 11:47PM and around 7PM my sister realized she had not done my moms check-in, but when she tried it would not allow her to complete her check-in. When we arrives to the airport (8:27PM),we were told her ticket was re-sold because the Volaris policy states she should of the done her check-in way before. We had been planning this trip for months and there was a total of 19 of us flying together so this was truly a nightmare.
Same exact thing happened to 30 people today at Cbx on Tijuana to Los Cabos flight. They had us stand in one line for luggage check then about an hour before flight moved entire group to another line then about 20min later moved everyone to another line then told us all we missed it and rebooked for the following day but no compensation no hotel no nothing because we all checked our bags late meanwhile only reason it was late is the woman who stands at the front of the bay check lines checks boarding passes and then tells you which line to go into has a list of overbooked flights and puts overbooked ones into slow lines that don’t move while you watch people behind you check their bags one by one line by line Guest : Criminal behavior from thie airline. Massive over booking and an inability to process baggage check-in at TIJ has resulted in 100's of people missing flights on 3/8/21. Imagine a check-in line a quarter mile long... maybe 2,000 people! That is what is occurring at TIJ.
My daughters and friends Volaris flight from Tijuana to Los Cabos has been delayed its second time. Original departure was 8:39 now it states 1:35. Isn't that 5 hours? This is the 3rd time my daughter (2nd for me) has been on a Volaris flight that was delayed for hours or cancelled with no means of getting another reservations. I have a feeling they are doing the same exact thing they did our last flight with them, string us along for hours and hours and hours then cancel. Terrible,!! They will not even say what the issue is. We would have some sort of patience if they would STOP lying. It's terrible. We keep giving them chance after chance and yet they bite us in the la culata each time. I agree Volaris is not a reliable airline. It will be our last chance I will give them.
They change my flight from El salvador now they dont want to rebook my fly and no refund . Volaris sucks Guest : Guest : I paid $703 for a round trip flight for my partner and I through Volaris. They then cancelled the flight due to “weather conditions” in Seattle, even though the weather in Seattle is mid-40s and completely sure, and event though SeaTac Airport is accepting flights. So they claimed “weather” conditions” even though the weather is completely fine in Seattle. This was during the connecting portion of two flights, so we are now stuck in Guadelajara. Since it was “weather conditions”, their only offer was to connect us with a flight FOUR days later from Guadelajara to Seattle. I’ve tried calling to get a refund and the line is full, so the phone call ends right away. At the same time, it’s possible to buy flights from Seattle to Guadelajara tomorrow, but they refused to put us on that plan because it was overbooked. But not overbooked enough to prevent us from buying tickets. So now we’re getting an Airbnb, buying an Uber, paying for another COVID test, and buying expensive tickets through another airline for tomorrow. Volaris lied about climate issues and then left us hanging in the middle of a connecting city without any support. This just happened to me. My flight Houston - Mexico City was cancelled today 2/3/2022 due to the cold front. The weather here in Houston is fine, very light rain, no ice or snow. Other airlines like Aeromexico, United or Vivaerobus with the same route did not cancelled their flights. The flight was half full, I think they took advantage of the supposed weather issue to accommodate today's and tomorrow's passengers on the same flight and save some money.... it is very frustrating. I will not travel again with Volaris. Guest : I booked a 10/30 flight from Mexico City (and prepaid baggage) to Oaxaca for Dia de Los Muertos. They "rescheduled" the flight for 11/2 (uh, would kinda miss the event). It is 75 days later and I haven't received any refund. On Twitter, they offered me a credit. It is ridiculous. That is a CANCELLATION!
17 March 2022, volaris Mex to Cun. The engine making loud noise, attendants running up and down the aisle. Three times assuring "everything is under control".

Volaris canceled my flight and reschedule it 12 hours later without any email correspondence on their end. Received NO assistance on changing the flight or scheduling issues at Tijuana Airport. Many Volaris passengers at the airport were going to miss their flights because of the holiday traffic indoors with immigration and bagging checking in.
22-APR-2021 at the Cancun departure gate, an airline employee requested a bribe to overlook what he claimed was an oversize bag- demanding cash (stated he could not take a card payment; haha we, until this time were a Volaris US travel agency and knew better). The same small bag was no problem on any prior flights. I was singled out as an easy mark. I would not participate and said if a payment was due, prove it; weigh and measure. Crickets. The dispute was escalated and delayed flight. He refused boarding unless i paid or go outside to main counter (outside security) and rebook for another day. A third supervisor, which by this point literally had to side with employee or admit he was a thief came and processed the “we can’t process a cc at the gate” charge in spite of previous. All lies and bribery busted.
Im in for the class action. A former US Volaris agency - too many losses and stories to tell. GV Dallas TX : Guest : I'm filing the class action in the US. Daniel Montes, 26 Oct 2020 I'll join this too, is there a filing already? Pete Rocha : We need to hire a law firm and initiate a class-action suit right away. All of us cuando it and make the airline pay back. Guest : I understand Volaris is horrible!!!!!!! but does any know if we have type of legal rights as consumers? when they make changes? I know Visa has a policy for unauthorized/wrong transaction.

my flight was cancelled twice right before boarding due to bad fog. They refused to give us information on a next flight and had to retrieve all our bags and go back to the check in line to get information on what we could do. The refused to give us refunds. And told us the only options we had were to wait the following day for a flight around the same time there is Fog. So basically they are making us go to the airport check in our bags, go through TSA, wait to board and tell us while we are waiting that the flight is cancelled and to go pick up our bags and go back to check in for information.

I’m very disappointed with the negligence and unprofessionalism of Volaris. Our father died from Covid-19 and my bother wanted to give emotional support to my other bother who lives in Mexico and can’t travel to US. On 07/08/20 I booked I flight for my brother to travel from JFK to GDL for 8/8/20. On 07/22/20 I received an email: “your flight was canceled” and an option of a credit for the total amount of the purchase plus 25% which I accepted. On 08/06/20 I received another email, that I viewed August 7, from Volaris: “INFO: Tu vuelo cambió / Your flight changed.” This email contained reservation for a new flight for 08/10/20 which I proceeded to accept with all the challenges and expenses I short notice trip implies. The day of the trip about 4 hour prior to the trip I checked the Volaris flight status online using the reservation code provided and the fight was schedule: On time. When my brother try to check in at the airport he was told at the desk that there are no flights going to Mexico. I logged in the Volaris web page again and the flight was stil on time. I sent my bother a screen shot of the status of the flight. After a while he decided to return home after spending almost $200 to and from the airport. I called customer service and was told there are no flights going to Mexico which contradicted their web page Information. I never received any communication with changes or cancellation for the new reservation. I called again August 11th spoke with another rep. who offered the same 3 options I was offered when the flight was canceled originally and he try to make it seem it was my mistake not theirs, he didn’t acknowledge the fact that their system generated a ghost or fake flight that cost the family stress, disappointment, confusion, frustration, time and money. I asked to speak with a supervisor since the person I spoke to didn’t emphasize or understand and try to justify their actions, he used another excuse to deny this petition. I requested a refund for the transportation expenses to the airport and back or an acknowledgment of their system failure and miscommunication between the different areas that handle the flight status online and by phone since the information are different. In conclusion, I ended up with a refund for the original amount spent which is still pending less over $1,000 on luggage, clothing, gifts, transportation that was spent unnecessarily plus the risks of being expose to COVID-19 while buying the items needed for this trip.
Has anyone had an issue / success with volaris “refunding” your money back due to a death? Like I purchased the ticket for the person that was flying who is now dead.... I’m currently arguing with them since April!
I have the same problem with bogus flights being listed and then turning up to San Jose airport and the flight isn't even up on the departures board and no-one at the airport knew anything about it. My flight was cancelled within 24 hours of my booking it and a refund has been denied
I have been given the run around now with volaris for weeks. I booked a flight from LAX to GDL and the changed that flight to an entirely different day with 2 stopovers, not direct. So they said I could change it to another date and another airport if I wanted. I live in OKC and there is no direct flight from Volaris so I have to fly to an airport that they fly out of. Then I paid extra to fly out of PHX directly to GDL. Today I went to double check my flight and it was once again changed to a different date that was a 1 stop connection and not a direct flight. In both cases THEY cancelled their own flight but did not send any notifications to passengers. Under their policy if THEY cancel the flight YOU are entitled to a full refund. I have a friend that was flying the exact same date to GDL from IAH and she checked hers this morning and it had also been changed to a different date and NOT a direct flight. Personally I have no desire to stop and change planes in MEX city and risk exposure to the virus because MEX city is the highest infected area in all of Mexico
Thank you so much for the info Guest : Gisberto Gutierrez : Hi my name is Gisberto Gutierrez I had a flight for April 22, and have tryed several times to cal them the phone would ring and then they would hang up on me tryed for a month or so no answer I Wanted to change it but they would charge me more and since with all of this COVID19 going on they close all borders and I do not want no credit all I want is my full refund please. Try contacting Volaris by email: servicio.callcenter@volaris.com Send them your reservation confirmation number, name and a copy of any email you received from Volaris cancelling your flight. Ask for a refund. That's what I did and I was able to get a refund. I would not opt for changing the flight dates or taking a voucher for future travel; who knows when flights might resume, and by then the voucher may have expired. The vouchers are not good forever. Update: The Volaris refund just arrived in my credit card account.
Guest : Great thanks! How were you able to talk to them on the phone? I sent an email to the address noted below and they called me, which was surprising; I expected to get an email. Unfortunately they only spoke Spanish, but I was able to understand enough and speak enough to get by. Hopefully the refund shows up on my credit card in a few weeks.
Guest : How do we know thats a real email? The screen shot is the email I received after talking to the Volaris Call Center on the phone. (But like I said, I had to muddle through in Spanish.) I guess I will find out in 7 to 21 days if the refund shows up on my credit card. They didn't ask for any credit card info on the phone and I didn't offer any. All I sent them was my reservation number, name and copies of the emails I received from Volaris when they cancelled the reservation two weeks ago. I didn't even give them a phone number in my email to them, so they had to have had it from my reservation to call me. Seems legit to me.
I just used the "service.callcenter@volaris.com" email address to request a refund. I sent my reservation code, first and last names, and copies of the two cancellation emails I received. I got a call back from Mexico in about 5 minutes. I don't speak Spanish well, but I believe they are going to refund the full amount to the credit card I used to purchase the tickets. Time will tell. Luckily I was sitting in front of my computer when they called and was able to use Google Translate to tell them I preferred a refund and to ask if it would be refunded to my credit card.
How do you even get a hold of someone? Iv'e been on the phone for hours and nothing. They canceled my flight so I want a refund. This is terrible service!
We need to hire a law firm and initiate a class-action suit right away. All of us cuando it and make the airline pay back. Due to the Corona virus, I I had to change the flight which was scheduled for April 4 from chicago O'Hare to Mexico City. I was sent to there website to reschedule and based on that page it look like it was a success. Still to this date I haven't received a email and the time has passed away and no response from airline after calling to many times. Not sure if It got change or i got screw because I didn't fly that day. Help !
I am trying to change my flight but on the website there are no flights available and when i try to call it hangs up after 10-20 mins so frustrating, and i have 3 flights purchased not fling until May 20th however El Paso is on lock down until May 17 possibly longer.
I emailed servicio.callcenter@volaris.com and was able to successfully change my flight. I actually got a relatively quick response (within a few hours.) Just make sure you provide your reservation number and the specific new dates and times you want to change your flights to and they will get it done. I received a new email from Volaris with my new itinerary. Make sure your email is in Spanish as they replied in Spanish. I sent them an email in Spanish and in English.
I just emailed that email address servicio.callcenter@volaris.com and got an almost immediate response in Spanish, but I’m curious where you got that email address. I previously emailed them at the only email address listed on their website which is yourexperience@volaris.com and never got a response. Do we know for sure this is an official Volaris email? I just had a thought that maybe this could be an invalid email address and he may request my CC info so that he can process the flight change... Guest viv : Hello everyone, I had volaris give me a voucher. After I emailed them through the resolution center w/PayPal. Obviously, only works if you booked through them. But it’s worth trying Servicio.callcenter@volaris.com
Similar issue with Covid change. Allowed me to change my outgoing flight to San Jose Cabo but the return one lets me go through the change process then an "Unsuccessful" pop up. So I can get there-but not home. Or return before I go! So much for its easier to fly out of Mexico, never again.

Guest : My Volaris flight was cancelled by Volaris. Can I get a full refund ?Good luck
My flight was cancelled on yhe 4th of april going from orlando to guadalajarra and i have been trying to get someone on the phone and everytime you been waiting for 6 minutes it hangs up i was told flights was cancelled due to the corina virus so why di i have ti strugle just ti get a new flight and why do i need topay againit just aint right
I have had the same experience with Volaris where my call gets dropped after waiting for 10 minutes, and whatever future date I pick to change my flight does NOT work on their website.I am supposed to fly in 7 hours, what a joke as I've been at this for weeks trying to change my flight because of Covid19. I am not going to work with my bank to put in a fraud claim, as I cannot think of anything else to do!
Hi Volaris canceled my flight from Sanjose Costa Rica to Cancun Mexico. Threy didn't even send me an email notifuying me of this and I only found out when I went to check in online the day before I am now back in the UK and I want to be able to get a refund from them but can't seem to get one on their online refund part of the website Can someone help me?
flightaware.com/live/flight/VOI919/histo... This site shows what flights are canceled the day before the of and the day after. The flight I have scheduled for April 16 has been canceled every day since March 25th. It looks like Volaris lists the flights as scheduled to the customer until the day before they are to go and then suddenly cancels it. I have friends who got no notice from Volaris and went to airports only to find the flight was canceled at the last minute. This pattern is not the last minute it is a pattern of denial and delay intentionally. Use flight aware to check for the patterns on your scheduled flights with Volaris.
Same here.... need to change my flight date & I can’t get hold of no one & cant do it online either 😡
I have been calling for a week 1/2 no one answers , I have called every day every 15 min. Why dont they fix this situation.
Submit a complaint with the department of transportation (dot) and dispute the charge with your credit card company Guest : Volaris doesn’t answer there phones, I tried changing my tickets on there website and it says no flights on the dates I want in June. If I try to purchase those days In June they do have flights, I’ve gone twice to Ontario CA airport and the tell me the same thing , that they’ll send me a e-voucher in 5 days . That was March 19 and also March 25. So far nothing. The flight that I was supposed to take was on Saturday morning March 28, and still I’m waiting on the vouchers. This is the last time I ever purchase any tickets with this air line , they have very poor client service.
Mario : Volaris changed my itinerary dates. Can I cancel and get my full refund? Their phone line is always busy. Can't ask them. same just happened to me

How are we supposed to get our money back from these thieves!?! They canceled my flight, didn’t bother to notify me, were not at the ticket counter. I had to book with another airline. Volaris is the absolute WORST customer service I’ve ever experienced in an airline.

Guest : can I buy food in flight with a credit or debit card? I don't have any pesos.
Guest : Website "calendar" is stuck when trying to change flight on website or APP. Phone numbers from either US or Mexico disengage after approx. 5->7mins after being on hold. Disappointing to say the least - a shame they cannot step up to the plate to do their due diligence for folk who've already paid for flights........... I'm in for approx. $2,200 for flights next Sun. 5th which we cannot take due to COVID19 pandemic :-( Try again. As of 3:45 am PT, now I was able to change my flight online to a future date. I'd like to think they were updating their database and website to the new different states guidelines. I wasn't able to change anything before; all it said was "No flights" no matter what date I chose, but now it shows $0 fee for any date you'd like to change it to. Hope you can get it done. Stay safe.
