Volaris is just TERRIBLE airline to book your next trip... Sucks! Besides that, is NOT the cheaper air line. There are better Airlines and even Cheaper...
I will never ever fly this airline again, Tijauna / La Paz price online $169 US, price at the airport $226 US and then charged me $30 US for my carry on which was not oversize. The refreshments were extra, even a glass of soda The service was terrible The landing in La Paz took for ever (it felt like we were on a glide path from Tijauna) and the plane was all over the place Please go out of business this airline is a disgrace and cheats the customer big time Fly Calafia it is much better I will from now on Don't fly Volaris

Silvia : I flew Volaris 901 17 April LAX/MEX and carried my allowed small luggage with me that perfectly fit on upper compartment and was on policy per Volaris/IATA regulations. On my return flight 926 MEX/LAX the cheek in personnel asked me to pay over 40.00 dollars IF I wanted to carry the same small luggage. I told her I had just few in from LAX with that particular luggage and was no problem, it more than fit the regulations and there was no Policy stating I should pay. She told me they were having an "audit" and the finance personnel will be waiting at the entrance of the plane, so I should pay her 40.00 or pay double at the entrance. I refused and of course there was nobody at the entrance "collecting: money. Now, the problem is that other 6 passengers DID pay to be allowed to carry their small luggage that perfectly fit the compartment and was within regulations. Some clients payed 80.00 USD, others between 40.00-50.00 USD. NO INVOICE, NO RECORD of payment besides this being, literally, a rip off. This could mean the employees pocketed the money. This is abusive to the clients and I am not the only one that decide to never again use Volaris in addition to alerting others of the abuses and rip offs. Should not be tolerated. Same thing happened to me in December 2014. They tried charging me for my carry on on my way home from LAX from GDL. For some reason, on my way from LAX to GDL I had no issues but on the way back they wanted to charge me about $40 to take my carry on. The guy warned me that I would have to pay once I get to the boarding line. I decided to risk it and not pay him. Sure enough, I got to the boarding line and there is no cash register or anyone checking carry on bags. Very frustrating. I felt cheated and scammed. Also, on my way back home, the flight was delayed 4 hours. This past week (June 2015) my mom flew from LAX to GDL using Volaris and they tried charging her as well. They said it was a $30 fee because she paid for the basic package. Although the basic package does include a carry on bag. She decided to take her belongings out and add them to her checked baggage instead of paying or risk having to pay.
Volaris needs to by put out of business. They're the most disrespectful, thief's and inconsiderate airline in the world. We arrived 59 minutes before the plane would departure and the staff did not want to check us in. They could not even articulate their words correctly, hard to understand. Had to purchase another ticket and charged for every little baggage you take. When arriving to Mexico, they opened majority of the luggage and took things out. They also lost a luggage with all new clothing. This company needs to be shut down. made my mom cry and stole more than 1000 dollars.

Guest : Volaris is a terrible airline, you try to change your flight and the website has a glitch were it takes you to buy more luggage space instead of changing your flight! Volaris is a fraud the worst service we had to go on march 29th but it changed to December 29th we ended up paying another 2,000 dollars
This is the worst airline I have flown their employees are so rude they lost my luggage 12-13-14 and still no response from the Airline I reached their customer service 3weeks ago and was told they were going to E Mail me a form to start the proses for refund and never got it so know I'm considering small claims against the Airline I'm also filling a report with the better business Burrell

Never going to travel with this airline again, on the 19 of November I purchaser about 5 tickets in tree separate reservation. Going to Sinaloa for a family reunion. Within three hours of purchase I found out that my mother was killed, I call Volaris trying to cancel or modify this tickets they tell me I cant I can only change the name on the reservation. About 2 weeks later I call again they tell me I have to submit a email to tuexperiencia@volaris.com so I do so I also attach my mother dead certificated, they never replied to my email. I call again and they say they can do anything that I lost does tickets. Any other airline they would of refunded my tickets.

This is a formal complint about Volaris, dishonest, and worst customer, awful service. I Got an e-mail with a 50% promotion of regular ticket price. Volaris ended charging my account $145USD more. I spoke to Mary Lu and she told me that she would correct the charge and give me credit for the difference since it was a system issue over charging me. The call got transferred to a regular customer service agent who had no clued and did not know someone was already helping me. He transferred me back to Mary Lu and this the time when I Spoke with a representative who's name is Mrs. Ceja at the call center in Mexico, and Mrs. Ceja which works in Customer Service disrespected me, saying she will not correct the mis-charge that she had to follow policy and that that is part of their politics??? She also claimed that there is 900 people working at the call center and would not transfer my call to Mary Lu who was going to correct the charge. Stealing an extra &145USD is their policy and think they can get away with it??? I have been using their service for 3 years in a row. I will never fly with them after this anymore. I do not recommend anyone to use Volaris and their services.
I hate this airline! Flown once and once is all I needed. They are beyond rude and so heartless. The employees must have had, and probably still have, a stick up their * ! Stay away from Volaris. Fly with AeroMexico.
If you ever need customer service help do not talk to anyone other than Yesenia Gomez. She was the only person at Volaris who did not transfer me back and forth or tell me she could not help me. She was the only person who was polite, expeditiously and helpful. Gracias, Yesenia!
Volaris does not provide customer service. They have people who transfer you to other people who will also not be able to help you but will only tell you this after hours of waiting. I wish I could say that they were polite, at least, but Evette * was not. If you ask to speak to supervisors like Peleazar Quintero he will claim not to be able to hear you and hang up on you and when you call him again he will promise to call you back but won't. translated: Volaris do tiene servicio de cliente. Tienen pesonas cuales te transfieren a otras personas que tampoco serán capazes de alludarte pero si te mantienen en la linea unas cuantas horas para decirtelo. Quisiera decir que a lo menos son cortes, pero Evette no fue. Si piden hablar con supervisores como Paleazar Quintero dirá que no te escucha y te colgará y si le vuelves a llamar dirá que te regresará la llamada pero no lo hará.
I wish i had seen the reviews of this darn airline my husband has just had to spend and extra $300+ for another darn ticket and has to depart from Tijuana instead of LAX!!! Yes, indeed their customer service at the check in desk in Los Angeles are horrible. He's option when he comes back is to submit a claim what a joke!! Ojala y hubiera visto los repasos de esta aerolinea my esposo acaba de pagar otros $300+ por otro boleto y tiene que salir de Tijuana en vez de Los Angeles como tenia reservado. Volaris has a new service from phoenix to mexico city, which I have taken once w/o problems. I go to MX frequently but could not purchase a membership online for their V-club. While in Mexico city I decided to purchase another round trip to MX (I again tried to purchase a membership in V-club but their ticket agent said it could only be purchased online). She apparently assumed that anyone buying a round trip ticket in MX must want to visit the U.S. when I saw that the ticket was backward she replied "There is a 1,000 peso fee for a flight change." I consider that reply dishonest & unethical & I will not pay that fee. It has nothing to do with a flight change; I don't care what flight I take but the itinerary has to be correct. I have no use for a round trip ticket to my home city; it is not what I ordered & believed I was paying for. I have filed a dispute with my credit card & purchased another ticket on Southwest & Airtran. Volaris cannot cheat a customer like this more than once in a lifetime.
My flight from Juarez to Cancun was changed drastically it was suppose to be a straight flight and now we have to land at Mexico City stay there for 5 hours then fly to Cancun. On the way back it gets ever worst. I rented a vehicle and a hotel from the 23 of March to the 27th and on the 27th I was suppose to take off at 9:25 Am now they changed my flight to 1:45 AM on the 27th! So im losing a day of my hotel, vehicle and fun. They also said that my sister which is traveling with us that she had confirmed those hours when she was next to me and I was listening to her when she never agreed on anything and now they cant change my flight. Well they can but now they want to charge me. Im just wondering I have to pay to change my flight but how come they do not pay me for them changing my flight? Also they never notified me of this change I found out because I got lucky. I hung up crying, my flight cost me over $460 dollars total ONE WAY! I then called back to speak to a manager and I spoke to someone and he said there wasn’t anything he could do and that they followed the rules… HEARTLESS people, I booked a flight not out of joy or excitement. Needless to say my return flight was NOT with Volaris BUT with AeroMexico it was the best flight yet. VOLARIS is garbage, they don’t even offer you free water… plus they try to over charge you on luggage and based on previous experiences I knew better for this last flight. AEROMEXICO was awesome and accommodating, they were extremely nice, offered a free MEAL, drinks, blankets, pillows, and headphones… my flight cost me half of what the STUPID VOLARIS flight cost but was WORTH the experience! I will never FLY volaris again!!!
I've flown with them twice, I think. Usually inexpensive, and decent service for that, but restrictive baggage. Carry-on policy seems to be confusing. Hard sided, large carry-ons cost, something smaller with soft sides goes free. Where the exact line between the two was, I was not clear. Just travel light and be prepared to kick in an extra 20 or 30 dollars if your carry-on is large.

Volaris is becoming the worse airline company ever. They have a very restrictive baggage policy that gets changed often resulting in the unfair collection of ridiculous fees. This practice is really a hidden unethical fee that has become discretionary based on the ability of the customer to defend their rights. As an example, one woman was charged 150 dollars to board with a critical personal medical device. She was told the equipment was "prohibited by us law" then was ok'd to take it once they got the money. These practices should be investigated and the fee revenue collected unfairly should be made public. Are there other options from sacramento and Oakland???? If so, avoid Volaris at all costs.
Agree with everyone! Absolutely no customer service, when you deal with the reps, it's so clear that they are not even listening. They lost our luggage and have failed to resolve this issue. Reading over the complaints on the BBB, they clearly don't take responsibility for anything, lie about calling and blame their customers.
Worst airline to ever use, lower prices come with cheap service... Horrible service from Diego Olvera... they must hire right off the streets with no experience. HORRIBLE .. HORRIBLE.. HORRIBLE SERVICE...
This line is the worse some one can use to travel it has been 2 weeks and as of today, no one have ever come to face us to tell us what happen with my nieces luggage and her missing items. Horrible line and service, some lady named Erica said that is very normal for this line to disappeared luggages and is not a problem. wow!
This airline is one of the worst airlines I have ever flown with. They are totally inept when it comes to designing and operating their website, to scheduling crews for their flights. The results is delays, over half an hour to get your bags at the airport and absolutely terrible customer service. Do yourself a favor. DON'T FLY WITH VOLARIS.
Can some tell me if Volaris weight the check-in baggage all together or they do it one by one?
I haven't flown yet, but already I have a very bad impression of them. First, I needed to make a change, ok I knew I had to pay a fee for this, but when I tried to make the change on line, the website was down so I called. But, there is a fee for calling in a change (no fee if the change is made online). I spoke to 6 different people trying to tell them all that the reason I was calling is because their website is down and I had to call in but please don't charge me the over the phone booking fee. I was still charged the booking fee and the fee for making a change, they told me I would only have to pay a fee once and can make other changes for free. I did ask several times to talk to a supervisor or manager but NO ONE wanted to connect me with someone! Second, they recently called me to say they have to change my flight time, I have to make different arrangements now to accommodate them! Third, during this phone conversation I asked if I can make a change because my husband had to go to Mexico for a death in the family and if he could use his paid ticket at a later time, I man said yes. I called later to make the change and the woman I spoke with said I couldn't make a change for a later date, I have to use the ticket within the time frame of our original flight route. That makes no sense! Why would we want to return or go elsewhere in that time period? Why do the employees tell you different things? It doesn't sound like they know what they are doing, saying! Volaris has very bad customer service, I feel they don't really care about their customers. I will never fly with them again!
Had a horrible experience with volaris....was left st raided in Mexico and employee didn't care or listen....tried to file a complaint and never got a response..WARNING,,,NEVER EVER USE VOLARIS
WARNING WARNING!! VOLARIS is a total RIPOFF!!!!!!!!!!!!! I bought 2 tickets to attend a conference in Guadalajara Mexico in May 2012. When the conference was cancelled I figured I would have a credit for a year to use just like any other airline. NO WAY!!!! Volaris pocketed my $1000 and told me to get lost!! NO CREDIT NO NOTHING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! AVOID THEM AT ALL COSTS!!! You have been warned!!!
My daughters and wife and I flew from Tijuana to Cabo san Lucas on Volaris and had exceptional service. We will be flying them again in two weeks. Can't say enough good things about them.
Worst airline ever.... Do not fly with them... Showed up 2 hours prior to my flight and was told I could not board..I called customer service...they said there was no problem with my reservation on their side...yet they couldn't call the counter to clarify the situation...was put on a flight a day later...they did not pay for my hotel...

Horrible customer service.I bought my husband a ticket fr om Guadalajara to Oakland and he showed up to the airport 1 hour prior to the flight went to the counter wh ere they told him the flight had already left if this isn't the biggest piece of B.S. then I don't know what is. This airline is full of liars. On top of everything I called customer service and the man on the phone was very rude and told me he couldn't help me at all and then offered to take more of my money. I will never attempt to use this airline again.

VOLARIS IS AWFUL! DO NOT TRAVEL WITH THEM! I purchased my ticket a month in advanced and when I got to the ticket counter the rep tells me that my reservation does not exist. I showed her my confirmation number, proof of payment and itinerary but she still indicated that I was not on the list and my only option was to purchase the ticket with them at that moment. I had to pay for a ticket that was already paid. The rep indicated that I needed ti contact my travel agent. My travel agent contacted her rep and confirmed that indeed two tickets were issued to the same person (me). I have not received a response since then. I will be reporting them to the Better Business Bureau and to the Department of Transportation. Avoid frustration and headaches. The airline personnel at the airport is lazy, lacks knowledge of airline processes and unhelpful. Personnel needs major customer service training and critical thinking skills. It's like they screened for stupidity.
VOLARIS has stolen my money!! They are thieves and someone has to stop them!!
