San Diego resident : Received email from Volaris that we can change our flight due to coronavirus pandemic. I tried doing so multiple times but website does not allow for a future date. And, notoriously they hang up on you after you are on hold for a while. I called numerous times followed by numerous hang ups. Our flight is in a few days so given all the bad experiences I have read by others I doubt I will get through. This was our first experience with Volaris. Very disappointing . Will never use them again and will warn others. Do not trust them. They are thiefs. Will report to BBB and others. Try again. As of 3:45 am PT, now I was able to change my flight online to a future date. I'd like to think they were updating their database and website to the new different states guidelines. I wasn't able to change anything before; all it said was "No flights" no matter what date I chose, but now it shows $0 fee for any date you'd like to change it to. Still sucks that they won't answer the phone or hang up on you when you stay on the line for more than 5 min. Hope you can get it done. Stay safe.

Guest : Volaris won't let me change my 4/16/2020 flight past mid-May and I paid to have the change flight flexibility. Has anyone had any luck changing their flights? Try again. As of 3:45 am PT, now I was able to change my flight online to a future date. I'd like to think they were updating their database and website to the new different states guidelines. I wasn't able to change anything before; all it said was "No flights" no matter what date I chose, but now it shows $0 fee for any date you'd like to change it to. Hope you can get it done. Stay safe.

I've had the same experience they cancel my flight and they wont answer calls , emails come back, phone calls drop,you will think they refund your money. Never again using them horrible service.

Hi I came across this page trying to figure out why Volaris cancelled my husband’s flight last minute, without any other explanation. We aren’t the only ones getting ripped off. Let’s all file complaints with the Better Business Bureau. Guest : Trying to change my flight and they payment keeps getting declined. I called the airline 6 times and after 5 to 6minutes of being on hold the phone call is dropped.

I’ve been trying to get a hold of Volaris Customer Service for an entire week to try an change my flight due to the COVID-19 pandemic just like many others are struggling. After being on hold for a certain amount of time the number no longer works. I’ve tried to change my flight on the App as instructed to and it does NOT give me an option to push my flight to another date or month. Can someone please explain what will happen to those that have flights approaching or how we can get a hold of an Employee that is willing to actually help.

Website "calendar" is stuck when trying to change flight on website or APP. Phone numbers from either US or Mexico disengage after approx. 5->7mins after being on hold. Disappointing to say the least - a shame they cannot step up to the plate to do their due diligence for folk who've already paid for flights........... I'm in for approx. $2,200 for flights next Sun. 5th which we cannot take due to COVID19 pandemic :-(

this just happened to us. changed our departing flight time and our return flight was changed to the next day. i have to work! we also already paid thousands of dollars on hotels and day trips to maximize our stay... awful! i should have read these posts before being confident that our plans were not going to be uprooted.

Worst airline ever! We purchased nonstop tickets to Puerto Vallarta in February for 5 of us for a wedding on memorial day weekend 5/25-5/29. Less than 3 weeks before the trip we get a generic email saying out itenerary has. changed and to call. When I call the airline they said they can put us on a flight 5/27 and 5/30 AFTER the holiday weekend. When I said we need a flight for a wedding. They said.. "You can check the website and see". I called back 2 hours later and was on the phone for 2 hours trying to get another flight. They found a few and everything they tried to put us on, they ran out of seats. After 2 hours of not being able to find any available flights he said I had to hang up because they couldn't be on the phone that long. He hung up and I immediately called back. Again I was on the phone for over 2 hours and they still could not find us a flight. Finally they found a flight with 2 stops and 10 hours to get us there. And the flight was now arriving at 9 o'clock at night instead of the afternoon. Before anyone asks why we didn't take another airline, this was 2 weeks before memorial day weekend. Not many flights left even less that could accommodate 5 passengers and nothing less than $1200 They wouldn't reimburse us or cover the cost of another flight even if was just for one leg of the flight or to meet a connection. They offered no help whatsoever. This airline is definitely not worth the cost savings. If we would have booked with another airline in Feb we may have ended up paying a few hundred more, but it would have been totally worth it.

I understand Volaris is horrible!!!!!!! but does any know if we have type of legal rights as consumers? when they make changes? I know Visa has a policy for unauthorized/wrong transaction.

We’re you able to get a refund I’ve been waiting for 3 months for mine ?? I’ts been David : I purchased six tickets to fly from Cancun to San Juan last April to fly in march of this year. In January I was looking to add another traveler and when I looked for the flight, it did not exist. I called the airline and they informed that they had canceled all flights to San Juan. I asked why didn't I was informed, and had no answer. I immediately booked another flight with Copa and I requested a refund from Volaris, It's been a nightmare, they've asked for documents and information and still a month later, no refund. I have never traveled with Volaris, but I never will. This is the worst customer service I've seen in my life. This Airline is a Scam!!!

HORRIBLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! DO NOT USE THEM!!!!!!! They completely changed my flight from one week to another just because they fly out to Cabos San Lucas on certain days. I then requested a refund in which they told me it would take 20-30 days. Today, they email me asking me for this via email: May I inform to you that the request for you refund with reservation code *****, currently has a status of detained to follow up since we do not yet have the necessary documentation. To continue the process we ask you to send us the following documents: 1. WIRE TRANSFER INSTRUCTIONS LETTER Thats includes the following information: · Name of account · Account number · Bank Name · ABA (Routing number) or SWIFT code · Address · Currency · Intermediary bank (This document can be obtained with your bank) 2. ID (Visa, passport, driver license); only the front part. We will be glad to send this information in a period of no more than 48 hours, otherwise the clarification process will be closed and you will have to start it again. Once received the documents we will notify to you by this same way. Thank you for flying with us! HOW CAN I FEEL COMFORTABLE SENDING THAT INFORMATION VIA EMAIL??????? ARE THEY CRAZY?????????

4 HOURS!!! spent on calls, numbers that are in website are not working, calling customer transferred to 9 diferent departments no help at all, my confirmation code is "NOT VALID" accosding to website so I can not print my boarding pass..

Volaris is the worst airline!!!! About two years ago my mother and I flew to Guadalajara. Upon our arrival our luggage along with all the other luggages from the other passengers were missing. I was going to have a medical procedure done which had to be delayed due to my missing luggage. My mother and I were told that we were going to get reimbursed 100.00 each for the inconvenience. We did not get our luggage until 3 days later and no reimbursement. We continued to fly with Volaris knowing that we might not have a good experience. As always, something always went wrong. We have since made other airlines our means of transportation. However, I recently purchased tickets for my parents with Volaris again and again was faced with a scam. Volaris changed my itinerary without my consent and I felt obligated to pay for the change and difference of the flight. When I bought the tickets for my parents there were three flight options flying out of O'hare and Midway (Chicago). I picked the flight departing from O'hare. Two days later, I get an itinerary that indicated that they were going to fly out of Milwaukee. I didn't even know they flew out of there. Of course I couldn't prove it because Volaris is so sneaky. I called to complain and demanded to have my flight changed but I was asked to pay. Then I asked for the conversation regarding this change that occurred on Tuesday at around 10:00 p.m. with Fernando Chavez and Ronny Fernandez. I was told that while they do record the conversations, they are not available to customers. Bottom line is that Volaris is just a horrible airline!

I AGREE horrible horrible Customer Service on the 1855 number I was in the phone for 6 hours to make a change or a cancelation within the 24 hrs that they stipulate in their policy for with a charge and they still want to charge me an extra 200.00 dlls for 2 tickets after all I have to lose my money $540.00 cause they couldn't change my trip.

Horrible, horrible website that doesn't work more than it does. NO CUSTOMER SERVICE E-MAIL ADDRESS, NOR ANY POINT OF CONTACT OTHER THAN THE 800 NUMBER. Good luck with that line. Overcharges, refuses to honor paid item (on confirmation). The epitome of treating customers like cattle.

We bookrd a flight from Leon BJX to Los Angeles LAX for Oct. 23rd which all of a sudden now is scheduled 2 hrs. later than on the confirmation. Which means the connection to Delhi will be long gone regarding immigration procedures in the US. The whole India trip with hotel and transportation bookings will be gone as well. We only found out about it when trying to print the boarding pass. The new schedule als shows that the flight back from LAX to BJX on Nov.30th has been changed as well, it now goes 23 hrs. earlier (!) than on the confirmation. Which means we will not be in LAX one day earlier. To change the flight back to 1st of December costs will be approx. 73 USD (as we were told on the customer phone). Both changes went without previous notice although Volaris of course has our email adress. We now had to book a whole new flight with United from BJX to LAX for today (!) in order to not cancel the India trip altogether. Who knows if Volaris will at least change the flight back from LAX to BJX from Nov.30th to Dec.1st without fees. It's their fault after all, not ours.

I am a V club member, but they spelled my name wrong. It is James, and they somehow left out the E and I am Jams. Each trip I make, I have to call them to change it on the itinerary, but they tell me I have to contact V Club to have them change it. It is impossible to contact V Club.

I want to express my complete disgust in the customer service of Volaris. I booked a ticket from SJU to CUN for a very long awaited vacation. I reside in St Maarten and we were hit with CAT 5 Irma hurricane Sept 6th my flight was for the 10th our airport is still closed 3 weeks later. I obviously could not make my flight. SMy home was damaged my place of employment is totally gone. It is a day to day struggle for water power and food. I requested a refund and they refused only to give me a 60 day credit. How am i to use a credit in 60 days when my island and residence has has been devastated?! (FYI) They also had to cancel my return flight anyway due to Puerto Rico getting hit by hurricane Maria. Still no refund! only credit??? Are you serious!!! VERY VERY VERY DISAPPOINTED!!!!!

Horrible service my outbound flight was changed to morning instead of evening. My return flight was cancelled from GDL to ORD. I was booked on another flight leaving Morelia to chicago had to travel to that airport 3 hours away pay a taxi and pay more next time I will use Aeromexico.

Has anyone attempted a Stop Payment on their credit card after purchasing tickets from Volaris? Parents were supposed to fly this week by step-grandmother passed away unexpectedly and obviously my parents cannot go. Their "only" policy is to change the date of the flights but doing so was almost as expensive as the tickets were originally. This is ridiculous. The agent I dealt with said you may have a different option by speaking with customer service. I have been on hold for 20 minutes once for customer service and no one picks. Currently on hold as I write this and I am just thinking about telling my parents to put a stop payment with the bank for the credit charge and dispute it since Volaris' customer service doesn't want to pick up their phone.

Do NOT fly this airlines. It will cost you more than you think you are going to save. We booked 16 people from Reno to Guadalajara Sept 20. We had already booked our lodging at over $3000, 50% non-refundable. Our party had two different departure times when they only fly from Reno once a day. We called to try and confirm which time was accurate only to learn they CANCELLED OUR FLIGHT WITH NO NOTICE! We would have never known if we had not called. Some us scrambled to get an earlier flight, costing us more money and hassle trying to arrange lodging. Others in our party had to get flights to neighboring cities to leave from there, again at added expense and hassle. Customer service is abysmal. ABYSMAL!

Volaris is the worst most dishonest company I have ever dealt with. They have terrible customer service. It's been a nightmare dealing with this company. There call center apparently has no supervisors or managers one could talk to. I contacted them months that I was NOT going to be traveling due to my doctor's orders, they had requested a letter from my doctor stating the facts, after supplying them with the letter they offered an option to change my flight for all passengers without charge, when I reached out to them and gave them the dates I wanted to travel they didn't have the schedule and they asked me to call back within 2 weeks in which I did. again they still didn't have a schedule and again asked me to call back. the 2nd time of me calling back they said they couldn't help me because I was a "no show" and I should have called 5 hours before the flight to make changes. Mind you I already had told them I was NOT going to be traveling months before so OF course I was a no show and because of that they could no longer honor the option they offered in the beginning I argued with them that they never notified me of any terms or conditions nor expiration date for that offer, still no use or help from them. I will never travel Volaris and will advise friends and family not to use them and use another more reliable customer friendly airline. Volaris is the WORST!!! I hope word gets around about their terrible service and NO ONE ever uses them!

Guest : Gerald Healy : I need to file a complaint regarding the manner in which Volaris cancelled the herein noted flight 4899 from LAX to BJX on 11-6-16 at 11:50 AM. I flew from Seattle to LA to connect with the above flight. I received no notification in any form, including email or phone, that the flight 4899 was cancelled. I requested a refund from the Volaris Customer Service at LAX and was told to call Volaris. Since 11-6-16, I have made over 12 calls consuming 4 plus hours. Each department referred me to another department. Volaris has refused to refund the $4,590 pesos, which I paid in USA Dollars. Volaris has demonstrated a total lack of professionalism and service to its consumers. I simply want a refund. I was forced to buy a Delta ticket from LAX to BJX at $450 USD. Unless I receive help with matter, I will contact the FAA and Local Newspaper explaining that Volaris is not reliable or professional. Regards, Patrick 253-238-7723 this just happened to my mom. I doubt Volaris will improve their services!! I've experienced nothing but headaches with them. Customer service via phone and in the airport is absolutely horrible!!! I think we should contact the news team since Volaris CEO cares less about their customers

I have a complain, I originally bought two round trip tickets for my parents: departure date 11/17/16, return date 02/17/17. on 02/04/17 I called to request a month extension and requested it to March 2017. The representative screwed it up and schedule the change to March 2018. I been in the phone calling for the last 3 days and they haven't resolve it. I keep waiting for them to apparently listen to the original recording from when I requested the change. But this is insane, my parents need to come home and they are not helping. The only option I see to bring my parents back is to pay again for a change of dates. Even though I already paid for the change I requested. But on top of that I would have to pay the difference in the airfare because supposedly is more expensive. so we are talking about more than 600 dollars for difference in airfare plus the change fee. This is insane, I won't stop until Volaris gives makes the correct change. The flights are from Morelia Michoacan Mex to Oakland CA US. If I have to contact the CEO of Volaris for them to change my parents tickets I will.

Not only did Volaris make a mistake with my travel dates, they mis-spelled my name in their system, although they managed to spell my name correctly when charging my credit card. An original fare of $800 for two turned into more than $2,000. When I told the supervisor at Tijiana it was their mistake, she told me and I quote, " this is your problem, there's the door and the Greyhound bus station is a $5 taxi ride away. We were refused entry on our return flight, forced to pay MORE money and told to come back in 6 days. There's the door, good day. I am contacting an attorney and initiating a lawsuit. same thing happened to me i need an attorney aswell

Volaris is completely corrupt. They cancelled my flight once, and I chalked it up to user error that cost me an extra $150. The next time I was super careful purchasing two separate tickets online. Guess what? Canceled. It is a scam. Volaris does not deserve anyone's business.

Shortly before boarding a 7am flight it was announced that there would be no food sold on the flight because the US government will not allow it. Why is food not sold on Volaris flights? Does anyone know anything about this?
