We flew Air Berlin from Seychelles to Düsseldorf to Zürich on the 21st of July, flight no. AB8586, but or luggage never arrived. We filed a report inmediately, but until now it is still not located, so we are getting a little worried. Is it possible that we might never get it back? Any advice would be much appreciated...

Guest : Hi Flight July 17 2017 from flr/dus/jfk. fight numbers ab8883 ab7480 . No luggage upon arrival to JFK. I have been calling the number listed on my lost luggage report and no answers. Anyone else on this flight get there luggage back yet or know who to contact?? Any information will help. It has been 3 days. Air Berlin customer service just says read instructions on website . Any one know how to get a tracking number, I was not given one.. Good news, my baggage arrived today on my doorsteps. Luggage was a little banged up but all items were inside. It appears to me that they never left Florence with me as the baggage tags said they were sent out yesterday. I never heard from the company . I am hopping others will be as fortunate as myself. Good luck!

Hi Guys! Flew from PRG-AUH thru TXL Tegel last 19 July 2017 on AB7494. Upon arrival in Abu Dhabi to go back to work, my bag is missing and my sisters bag has been tampered with missing contents already. Reported a missing bag case with Etihad and told me I will get an update within 24 hrs but no one called and its already 48 hrs. All my valuables and clothes are there, all personal and work-related items. I called Etihad and they said no update yet and Air Berlin has not responded to any emails and not answering calls as well. Can anyone please advise.

I am back in the states now. We had one bag delivered at our hotel before we left Berlin. Still waiting for the other 4. Air Berlin sent and email saying they were sent to JFK. Why? I have no idea. But they cannot tell us anything more and suggest we pick them up at the airport. Great idea. I will fly to JFK from Alabama to look for my luggage. Someone called in the middle of the night from JFK and left a number to call back. The only problem is that no one EVER answers and the voicemail is full. It has been 21 days now. Richard : We flew from Milan to Berlin Tegel on July 1. All five of our bags are still lost as of 7/12. We believe they are at Tegel, but luggage company says "thousands" lost bags are stored in "containers" somewhere at Tegel and they don't have the manpower to process them. We talked to an Air Berlin agent in Terminal A at Tegel and he just gave us the customer service phone number. He also said that this was a big problem and that Air Berlin may not renew the contract with the company that manages the lost luggage (WISAG). He described the problem as their "incompetence." We leave Berlin in one week to go back to the states and have no hope of getting them back.

I have USEFUL INFORMATION FOR EVERYONE! I went weeks without hearing anything useful. The only way someone would actually help me is when I went to airberlin's facebook page and posted about my experience. The response was near real time. My bag (from a flight taken on July 10) arrived in JFK the next day (July 11) but I had not heard a single thing until this morning from the help I got on Facebook. They are advising people to go to the airport to pick up their bags. Unreal. Good luck.

Also lost luggage with no help at all! The phone number they gave for contact info at JFK is full and no one EVER ANSWERS! Does anyone have any number that someone will answer? Also, HOW does one get a file number for the lost luggage?

was anyone else on flight AB 7248 from Tegel to JFK on July 1, 2017. Cancelled flight, lost luggage, a total fiasco with no Air Berlin rep in sight at any time. Passengers need to unite against such gross disregard for paying customers.

Hey everyone just wanted to let everyone know I have been waiting for my bags for the past 28 days and I have yet to hear anything. I have sent over 30 emails and more than 100 calls with not a sliver of help. I hope this airline goes out of business. After they refund every dollar I have had to spend of course.

I also traveled with AB the 3th of july 2017 from krk-txl/txl-amman on flights nmb AB8203/RJ122...once arrived to my last destination after 2 delays of both flights, my baggage was missing. I claimed It I have RF and even I called once they said they found it and will deliver it after 2to 4days..but it was I lie...so since 2 weeks my baggage is missing. Airberlin won't answer to any of my calls or emails or my lawyer's texting and calling..I even text them on fb all they said that it is not in berlin and they are in process and ghen they post somthing that said that they will not give any compensation till 30 days of the missing. I am very mad and living a night mare instead of enjoying my vacation

I got my suitcase back. Yeah!!!! It came with fed ex today after 5 weeks. I will not be flying with Airberlin anymore but I think thats a given. For anyone with lost luggage, you will eventually get it back its just, how long will it take. Good luck guys! Guest : Guest : Guest : My carry on that i checked has been gone for 3 weeks now. TXL-ORD. they say they will look for 4weeks, dont know what happens then. I received $500 from air berlin without receipts.but my luggage was missing on both flights to berlin and back so I think that was compensation for the trouble. I complained on airberlin.com/complaint. I had travel insurance so I will file a claim after 4 weeks. Hey, just wondering how did you get the $500 euros back? My parents' luggages have been missing for nearly 3 weeks now. I don't think I had travel insurance though. Thanks! I filed a complaint on www.airberlin.com/complaint, we flew business, which we upgraded to, so I dont know if that had anything to do with it. I still dont have my bag and its 4 weeks today. Got my luggage today. Took 5 weeks!!

This airline should seriously be SHUT DOWN. I can not believe all these horror stories. Are there NO CONSUMER PROTECTION AGENCIES for stuff like this? Entire airplanes of lost luggage and no can do ANYTHING? I have never been so infuriated in my life. My luggage was lost in Berlin on a flight from Copenhagen on June 22. (Yes, three weeks ago for anyone who is counting). With NO phone number to call, I have emailed at least 12-15 times and never received a response. For the last week and a half, the WISAG status page has said "Delivery Process Initiated" but I have never heard anything from anyone, and the fact that there is no one I can call is making me crazy. I have no hopes of ever getting compensated from this horrible, piece of sh*t company. My only solace is that at least my credit card that I booked the flight on can reimburse me, but I would MUCH RATHER HAVE MY SUITCASE OF MY FAVORITE THINGS back. It was bad enough I had to go a week in Europe with nothing but the clothes on my back, but three weeks later, it is getting really old. I kind of want to contact a lawyer. This is nuts!

The WORST! Run don't walk AWAY from this 9th rate company and their reps who just don't give a * . On a flight from Zurich to Berlin, everyone's luggage remained on the plane while we waited for hours in the terminal. Then the luggage was sent BACK to Zurich. 200 people lost their luggage because no one would unload it (100 on our flight and 100 on the return Zurich flight). No rep from the airline came to inform us. Instead we were sent to Wisag offices (lost and found) who kept telling us it wasn't their responsibility. There's no way to contact AirBerlin customer service directly to check on bag status. Plus the planes are the most cramped we've ever experienced. American Airlines should be ashamed to partner with them. I give them a 0. 1 is too high a rating

After 8 days, 3 of which my luggage status on world tracer changed to DELIVERY PROCESS INITIATED, I still have no clue of where my luggage is and if it will ever be delivered to me. No phone number to contact, no answer to several emails I sent other than automatic replies. I will never fly Airberlin again and I guess I am not the only one thinking the same.

My son travelled ab6444 Sat 8/7 Düsseldorf to Berlin. His and his girlfriend have lost baggage. They are 2 young adults, worked hard for the holidays of their dreams, however has turned into a nightmare. They are holidaying and moving every 3/4 days. They have had to buy clothes. They are very upset. How do we claim some money. I have spent hours trying to reach their lost baggage number.

OMG where the hell are all of these bags going?!? We were on Air Berlin flights from SFO-TXL-Rome, they lost nearly 20 people's luggage. My sister's bag (which was checked in with mine) was located somewhere, and travelled to JFK, LAX before making it's way to her in Portland. 2 weeks since they were lost and mine is still missing?!?!? How the hell do they lose this many bags? This needs to get blasted on social media so people know not to use Air Berlin if you need to check a bag!

Have been waiting for luggage for 2 weeks now. Lost it on a flight from Boston to Dusseldorf on June 26 2017. No response to my emails or online form. Gave my contact (phone, email address). No way to reach anyone by phone. Air Berlin service for booking flights is unable to give any contact phone for lost luggage. The online tracking system shows that the luggage presumably arrived at the airport and they 'initiated' delivery - that was 12 days ago.

My daughter lost her luggage flying from Air Berlin - Berlin to Paris on 7 July on 12.35 flight. Apparently there were about 15 other people's bags that did not arrive as well. She lodged usual lost baggage form at airport. She still has not got her bag and yes airline just say contact airport and airport say contact airline i.e. no one wants to know anything about it. Probably the bag never left Berlin or went elsewhere. Has anyone else had an issue with this flight and if so have you got your bag back as yet?? I am wondering if Air Berlin or Berlin airport baggage handlers have an issue with luggage due to all the comment made below??

Adamarek : Same story here, lost luggage on flight from Berlin to Chicago June 27, 2017. Nobody to contact by phone, only email with no response. Does anyone claimed lost luggage at O'Hare AirBerlin and have that form in possession? Please, if there is a phone number on the form please post it her.. I will never fly this airline My husband and I were on the same flight from Berlin to Chicago on June 27th. We had a connection from Paris CDG to Berlin. Did you happen to be on the connecting flight from Paris? It seemed that no one from the Paris connecting flight received their luggage in Chicago. I have no working phone numbers, no answered emails and still no luggage. I am also looking for working phone numbers or emails to contact. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

The 2nd of July my wife and I flew from Stockholm to Berlin (AB8003) and then to Amman (AB5500/RJ122). The Servicedesk in Amman said that our luggage did not make the transfer in Berlin. AirBerlin says that Royal Jordanian is responsible for the search. RJ does not answer on mails or social media. If you call the RJ service desk, they say the luggage is in Berlin. Berlin airport is impossible to get in contact with - does not answer on mails or phone calls. AirBerlin responds on social media but just refers to RJ.

Guest : I have sourced every email I could find. If your luggage is missing for more than 5 days, email: service@baggageexpress.de We will be returning to Sydney soon without our luggage. I haven't received any correspondence from Air Berlin. We flew Boston to Dusseldorf to Barcelona on 6/30 and still have no bags. We've called Swissport at the Barcelona airport every day for the first five days, and no information. They think the bags are maybe still at the Dusseldorf airport. Air Berlin customer service has been incredibly rude and unhelpful, denying any responsibility and telling us finding the bags is the problem of Swissport. Apparently now that it's been more than 5 days, there is some other company called "baggage express" that Air Berlin says is now responsible. All airlines are awful but this one is just a whole other level of terrible. Never flying AB again.

On 3 July 2017 I flew AB 8775 from Venice to Düsseldorf. Due to the size of the aircraft, all hand luggage was required to be surrendered for storage. (The luggage was delivered to us on the stairs upon arriving at Düsseldorf.) Upon unpacking my bag I discovered that the plastic support structure/backing of my suitcase (inside the zippered lining) had been shattered. I submitted a complaint with pictures to airberlin@dolfi1920.de. Anyone have advice or experience in this situation!

I flew this garbage Airline fr om CDG connecting at Berling towards JFK on June 29 2017. Flight number AB7248. In Paris people waited 90 min inside the plane doing nothing. Arriving at Berling airport too late and miss my JFK flight. Meanwhile Airbetling told us hurry up and get your baggage because your plane leaves in 10 min. Impossible !!! Then while running like a dog to get my bags. Air Berlin personal stop a bunch of us and told us "Never mind your luggage, get your * on the plane pronto". Plane leaves we go to get luggage but Air Berlin people told us "come we are going to send you to some strange airport called Du-something". "That's somewhere in Germany. Then they said "never mind our good friend at United will happy take you back to Newark not JFK since you missed your connection flight. Next flight is in 8 hours go over there and sleep under the seats ok buddy". Now I arrive to Newark no luggage there since United did not take luggage because Airberlin told us that they have our luggage and our luggage left on the original TXL-JFK. Now I'm lost AF. UA doesn't have luggage. AB staff acting like there's hope, meanwhile they have no idea wh ere our luggage is. I have my laptop there with all my pics and my wedding suit. Now in here in NYC with no clothes and its sucks being broke with no clothes. F-U AB

I went to the baggage office at Tegel Airport and the personnel there were of no help. The web site to report lost luggage (lf.wisag.aero) does not work either.
