Sunwing change #2 in two days. Now I have back my direct flight to Huatulco but not at 9:30 am but 12:30 pm. Thank you Sunwing for letting me watch sunset instead of soaking my ... in the pool.

After adding 3 hrs stop over in Mazatlan to my Huatulco Vacation I truly agree they are terrible and should be bankrupt. Next time I'll fly AC,AT or WJ.

Flew Sunwing to Cuba. In the past when I've booked trips, it was book and relax. Not with Sunwing, Constant mistakes.... Wrong airport departure, wrong time. In Cuba, line ups at their convenience to book or do anything. Cause lets face it .... you work hard all year, so that you can give your money to someone and then have them control your days off. * . Check-in was at four in the morning. However you had to pay for the previous day. Then at check-out (11 am) you had to hang around til 4 am the following morning to fly. No room, no shower and they could give a * . I have never been treated so poorly by a company that was supposed to be in the people business. Spread the word ... BOYCOTT this horrible company into BANKRUPTCY !!!! They deserve nothing less, of course, unless it was to be SUED into NON-EXISTENCE. Do yourself a favor and avoid at all cost.

I bought a travel package and trip cancellation insurance. due to some reasons, have to cancel it 45 days before departure. never see the refund hit my account until i opened a dispute against this company. surprisingly, they charged me CAD 500 for cancellation penalty despite the fact that I bought cancellation insurance. avoid this company if you want to have a peace of mind. what a hassle to deal with them!!!

Well what can I say. I have travelled to Cuba numerous times ( 12+) with Sun Wing. I guess the good luck has finally ran out. We were set to leave in a couple of weeks and we just received notification that Sun Wing has changed our return flight coming home. Instead of leaving at 10:00 pm we are now leaving at 2:00 pm as it now includes a stop over in Jamaica. This change means an additional 2 hours of travel time and I now lose 2 full days of vacation because of time change. I know I will not get anywhere with Sun Wing but I am still going to try. We need to stop using this airline if this is the way they are going to treat their customers.

Hi everyone.. I agree with 99% of what i am reading here... My sisters and i booked a trip to florida for our moms 90th birthday leaving fed 24.. From halifax.. The problems started the next day mom was very very sick.. We thought oh bad luck but no the day after that one sister ,then another, then another, then another, we were dropping like flies!! hotel was not very helpful had to get our own clean sheets every morning... When we asked the manager after 3 days she told us (along with other staff) that norwalk virous had been going around for about 2 months!! We were just all well enoughto get on the plane to go home and were on that flight that got diverted to moncton that night and didnt get back to halifax till the next day. We would never have taken mom had we had an inkling that the viris was there! Lost 4 days of a 7 day trip and sunwing will not answer us .. We could have lost our mom! I did pay for cancellation but beware as my sister is still trying to get back a voucher for the one aunt that didnt come!! Also fyi you cant get cancellation ins for anyone over 75 thru them!! Bad..horrible trip. DONT FLY SUNWING

booked my trip , paid for it , just before I get itinerary ..sunwing changed my flight, 10hrs later then what I booked , I called , they said I could have my original flight but I would have to pay additional fees of almost $200 , a week later they dropped cost of vacation by another $200 , I called ..sorry can't help, but have a good trip...wow...last time we ever travel with sunwing...worst customer service I have ever encountered , do not care one bit about what you have to say at all...thanks sunwing , hope you have a wonderful day....

We are satying in BARCELO COSTA CANCUN we were planning to fly with sunwing but after a saw how they treat the guest and the employes as if they were better than all the rest of us but the truth is that there just pilots and areo wench in other words maids, to make this easy SUNWING YOU GUYS ARE DISAPIONTING...

We flew with Sunwing on February 24 fr om Toronto to Manzanillo Cuba. At time of booking they talked me into Elite Plus, which I will never do again, nor will I fly Sun wing again. Flying out of Toronto wasn't bad, we did get on the plane first and that was fine. Once we got to Manzanillo well then the nightmare begins. Elite plus offers first boarding and getting off the plane also your luggage is supposed to come off first. Well we where among the herd getting off and my luggage came off the very last suitcase. Leaving Manzanillo was another nightmare, no Elite Plus Express line checking in there, everyone just piles in and you wait and wait in line to check your luggage, your with all the 200 and something people the plane holds. Why would they sell you Elite Plus both outbound and inbound if there isn't priority check in and boarding at both airports???? My only relief was that my seats wh ere already picked from buying Elite Plus so I decided to wait outside until the crowd was done, which was a very long time. I will probably avoid flying sunwing again, unless they are the only airline that goes to a particular destination as this was the case here

We went to Veradaro March 2016. Arrived at the hotel Aguas Azules to find hundreds of ants on the bed, toilet was stained, shower did not work. Just disgusting. Took forever to get another room which was not much better. The food sucked in every way. They also lost our luggage and could care less. Never did find it. The Sunwing rep was useless.

We traveled to Costa Rica for a wedding on July 20, 2015, and a two week stay at the Rui in Guanacaste. We arrived at the Toronto airport at 6AM for departure at 9AM. Flight was delayed by 9 hours with 4 gate changes. The explanation was mechanical failure. We reside in Montreal and had to make special plans to fly out of Pearson. On the return flight we were delayed 17 hours because of mechanical problems. During the wait there was no representative from Sunning providing explanations as to the delay and the remedy, however, the Costa Rican police came to our gate to inform us of the delays during the course of the day. There was no offer of food or water during our wait at the airport. Our flight was supposed to depart at 1PM . We were bussed back to the hotel at 6PM and were told we had to vacate the hotel at 2AM for the flight at 7AM the following day. The food provided on the return flight consisted of Kraft single slices on white bread. we paid for premium service!!! This was my first and only experience with Sunwing and we are currently suing them in small claims court.

It's good to hear your experience was good! I leave this week, was your personal item and carry on weighed together for a max weight of 5kilos or were they separate? Ive had conflicting information. Sure the seats are tight and there are restrictions and add ons but have you ever travelled in Europe on EasyJet? Sunwing is light years ahead. Overall we kept our baggage within the allowance, had good airport service, flights were on time. Hey to spend $1,000 for a flight and all inclusive resort how can the expectations be so high? I would recommend Sunwing Vacations for a good value holiday.

Booked and paid for a direct flight to cuba. 5 WEEKS BEFORE departure date, they changed the flight times drastically and we lost 2 days of vacation. THEN the return home flight is now NOT direct but has a stop over. No help at all sunwing, just kept saying "flight times can change" . When I asked if we could change flights they said yes BUT I would have to pay a change fee??? And the trip would have cost us about 500.00 more. Needless to say I never got any help and have a group of * people. NEVER again will I fly sunwing. I book trips on the day and times of the flight, if they can just change it to whatever they want, you cant make plans. besides losing 2 days of vacation, I booked a hotel that I dont need and took work off that is not needed..

This discussion is proof that only people with problems or unreasonable expectations give ratings. Have flown Sunwing twice and both times it is good value for the money. Sure the seats are tight and there are restrictions and add ons but have you ever travelled in Europe on EasyJet? Sunwing is light years ahead. Overall we kept our baggage within the allowance, had good airport service, flights were on time. Hey to spend $1,000 for a flight and all inclusive resort how can the expectations be so high? We booked the seven-day Varadero vacation we were supposed to leave Halifax at 6 a.m. getting to Varadero at 9 30 we got delayed we were told to return to the airport for 5 p.m. with an 8 p.m. flight and when that happens we still didn't get out till 2 in the morning losing a full day of a 7 day vacation when we were leaving to return home we were told to be at the Airport for 6:15 we were delayed until the following morning went to the airport and then we're delayed again until the afternoon we where heading to Halifax we almost touchdown then we had reverted to Fredericton landed and had to wait 2 hours on the airplane then diverted to Moncton held there till 11 30 p.m. and buses transported us to Halifax I don't think I will ever fly with sunwing again... I understand that pilots can only do what they can do in weather conditions but this was much more than the weather it was the way that someone handle the whole experience very very unorganized company even the reps we're in disbelief at the higher management and there actions an airplane was on the tarmac ready to fly to Moncton full of fuel which we had in Fredericton and only had a 15 minute flight to Moncton and planes were landing in Halifax at this point for hours

Sunwing is separate from nexus is separate from baggage handlers. NEXUS is a company that deals with transportation and excursions, SUNWING AIRLINES deals with flights and crew, SUNWING VACATIONS deals with hotels, bookings... and a ground agent company example, Swissport deals with baggage handling. Anyone from any of these agencies would have directed you to file a claim when you got home. Thats what every airline does, Ive had baggage wrecked by 3 different airlines and thats what they all do.

We haven't left on our vacation yet and we're regretting our choice of booking with Sunwing. Our departure time was moved up several hours which is a problem due to getting time off work. When we initially booked, the flights to Cuba and back to Winnipeg were direct and that has change and the price dropped $500. What is waiting for us in Cuba????? I hope the resort doesn't disappoint.. NO CUSTOMER SERVICE ------- SUNWING NEVER AGAIN!!!!!!!!

Same thing in Kitchener Ontario, we were supposed to leave at 9:50am and its now delayed to 8:30 pm and who knows, it could be even longer. It's really great. Miss a half day of the vacation, not to mention arrive at the resort around 2am. Not hugely impressed.

We were supposed to leave Halifax this morning at 6:00 am direct to Santa Clara Cuba. We're now scheduled to leave at 5:00 pm this afternoon. No notice. No answer at the call centre. This is probably our 6th vacation with Sunwing. Each and every time there's a delay. I think the first 11 hour delay. It's so disappointing when you work so hard all year and save for these seven precious days and then one is just taken from you. We're still 7 hours away. We'll see if we actually leave at 5:00.

Booked a vacation with sunwing/signature vacations. It was originally a direct flight from Calgary to Cancun, which was the reason we booked it in the first place. Sunwing/Signature has now changed the flight from direct to going via Vancouver. Now instead of arriving in the afternoon we arrive in the evening. If I wanted a stop over flight I would have booked somewhere other than Cancun. And of course Sunwing/Signature's response to inquiries about this is basically sucks to be you as we can change flights etc without any notice to you the customer.

We went on a holiday too Grand Oasis Tulum in Mexico via Sun wings and paid $1,000 more to get a Sian Ka’an upgraded room with a Jacuzzi but since there was a wedding and the Sian Kaan rooms were all taken. They downgraded us and sent us to the condominiums that were in very poor shape( bathroom toilet leaked all over the floor but they did fix it)( patio doors, very bad smell in the bathroom) and there was no Jacuzzi or private VIP Lounge, Private beach club, Upgraded mini-bar with daily refills or Preferred smart car rates as stated on the Sunwings website (accommodations-Sian Ka’an club Jacuzzi) Of course they said they were very sorry and they would do their best and offered us another room in another hotel but since we were staying with 6 other friends without the upgrade and actually had better rooms we couldn't go. At the very least I would expect $1,000 upgrade package to be returned me.

I flew sunning on February 14/16 fro Toronto to Los Cabos upon arrival my luggage which was new had a broken wheel attached but nearly broken off. I boarded the bus to the hotel and when I got off the wheel was no where to be found. I did tell the representative from nexus when he boarded the bus my wheel was broken by the proceed to get off the bus somewhere downtown and I did it see him after that. I found the wheel missing when I tried to take my suitcase to my room. The ne t morning I went down and talked to the nexus representative and reported my now broken suitcase he said he would check in to it and the next day he said it was not found and I would have to put in a claim. My question to you is how am I to manage my suitcase home with only 3 wheels. And whose fault is this. Not mine for sure. It was either broken in Toronto loading it or unloading it here in Mexico. The reps says I should have reported this immediately when I found it broke. To who there was no one in the airport from sun wing. I did report it to the nexus guy on the bus for goodness sake take some responsibility for you workers actions and correct this problem now!

We were to return to Ottawa on Mar. 2, leaving Cuba at 8:30 p.m. arriving in Ottawa at 11:55 p.m. Our flights have now been changed to an indirect flight via Hamilton. leaving Ottawa at 10:00 a.m. arriving in Cuba (via Hamilton) at 3:30 p.m. and leaving Cuba at 4:30 arriving in Ottawa (via Hamilton) at 9:30 p.m. When I called they really didn't give a * that we booked a direct flight or that we are losing many hours of sun due to the times of our trip. After purchasing a vacation with tripcentral for a sunwing vacation which had a direct flight from Ottawa to Varadero, they changed the flight time so instead of arriving at 10 am we arrive in the evening, and instead flying directly to Varadero, the flight changed to go to Hamilton and than to Varadero. Which no longer is a direct flight. When we tried dealing with this issue it took six hours and basically did not get anywhere. They will not refund the money for the purchase. As for costumers service they hanged up 7 tims and the only way we got through to someone is buy pretending that we are buying another vacation.

I returned from Varadero on the 9th of Feb 2016 to Pearson International. I have heard nothing from Sunwing they are still trying to locate my bag. I know this as I am calling constantly, usually to get an answering machine. I am freaking out!! How difficult is it to locate a bag. How is it my bag was the only bag that didn't arrive. DO NOT USE SUNWING

WE booked a trip TO Varadero. Unfortunatly SUNWING changed the FLIGHT SCHEDULE and then did NOT want TO accomodate us in any say. They wanted us TO pay extra for the accomodation. DO NOT USE SUNWING

I am thick ! : Sunwing / Signature - hn as anyone else every ran into this one? I booked a sunwing vacation, their email back to me says sunwing, the website I booked it on was sunwing but the invoice is signature. This vacation was booked early to take advantage of their early bird special ( which ends up being a joke). 2 weeks prior to the vacation I notice it has dropped significantly in price - $1365 to be exact. I call the number on the bill to see if they can adjust the price any - it's sunwing not signature. Their message to me is signature doesn't have a price drop guarantee, but sunwing does, and signature hasn't dropped their price on that vacation - sunwing has though. Too bad , so sad enjoy your overpriced vacation. Oh, I am thick because many others told me to stay far away from these 2 companies. We are in the same situation. Early booking what a joke... our trip is was 20+ days out and the price reduced over $1000. called and they said nope... nothing that they can do about it. Really? I could understand if it was a couple weeks (maybe) to fill the rooms but... why advertise a early booking bonus when really it is a early fleecing your pockets bonus. We booked all the bells and whistles on our trip... now just feel so totally ripped off. We travel lots and wont be using them again.... at the very least would have been nice to offer something to us?

Myself and three ladies booked a trip in September 2015 for one week January 26 toFeb 2 2016 we are all seniors two with stairs issues.no elevator of course we wanted junior suites the suites ended up being on the third floor had lofts for the bedroom with no hand railings. We just couldn't handle these stairs. I think sunwing could describe these rooms better. The requests we had put on the reservations weren't even considered. Like I said we booked in September.In calling sunwing representive all they could offer is an upgrade to another resort but for way more 400 to 800 dollars per person. This was in Huatulco at the Villablanco. So the manager was called in and got us two rooms for the night and moved us to a suite on the ground floor next day. Terrible way to start your vacation for sure. Glad I got to stay here the room was great the staff were friendly and accommodating place was clean. I will definitely not travel with Sunwing again

NOT RECOMMEND SUNWING AIRLINES.I bought my ticket on December 7, 2015. When I called Sunwing, I talked to S.S. I told her that I wanted to buy a ticket for Cayo Coyo for me and my husband. I told her that my husband is a permanent resident and that his passport expires on January 31, 2016. I told her that I was not sure whether it's possible to go ahead because I had read online that passports must be valid for three months, others say 6 months and others say 2 months. She was adamant that since we were traveling only for 4 days, there was no problems. I asked her whether she was really sure about what she was telling me because I didn't want to have any problem, and that I'm going on holidays because I really need rest and not problems. She confirmed and repeated that I could go ahead and take the tickets with my husband passport valid until January 31, 2016 and that I will have absolutely no problem. I went ahead with my vacation package order and chose the most expensive room with a special activity of swimming with dolphins, something I was really looking forward to. I added a cancellation insurance and a health insurance policy for the trip. Before formally placing the order with an agent(without giving names), I asked her a last time, the last in many, whether she was absolutely sure that I wouldn't have any problem about my husband's passport and whether she was new in the industry. She answered: " I have been in this industry for 15 years and I know what I am talking about.". I was so glad about the trip and my order that I sent her an email to thank her for reassuring us and for my order. My husband and I checked in and my husband's passport was checked with no problem. We were asked our permanent resident cards, that were checked and returned with no problem. We were given our boarding passes. We settled in our seats and 5 minutes later a Sunwing agent came up to us and asked my husband's boarding pass, his passport then his permanent resident card. She called someone and said to this person: "his permanent card is valid". Then she hung up and simply told us that we coudn't travel with this passport, that it must be valid minimum for 2 months. I told her: "your colleague fr om Sunwing told us the contrary and I have the email that document our conversation where she repeated and confirmed that it was OK to travel with that passport. Just after receiving my email, she sent us out plane tickets. The plane agent asked me to show her the email, which I did. She told me: "your husband must leave, you can call customer service, I'm going to call my manager to get you out of the plane". Her manager arrived, plain rude, didn't utter any excuse, all he said was:"Madam if you want to go alone, stay, otherwise you have to leave the plane right away". I tried to explain to him what was happening, but he didn't even let me speak, cut me off and told me to call customer care. I said that I needed a document to prove that he had me leave the plane. He said that there was no problem about getting such document, and to follow him. Once outside, I asked him for the document, and he told me: " I don't have to give you anything, call customer care." . I said: "I'm glad I recorded when we were leaving in the plane, it shows that you got us out of the plane". The plane agent was upset and surprised when she looked to the screen of my phone and immediately called someone and said: "put on the notes that she has a video!" I immediately called Sunwings to report what had happened. We had to wait more than an hour to get our luggage back. We were beyond humiliated. In the plane, the other passengers were looking at us bewildered. It looked like the plane agent and her manager were taken two suspects or two terrorists out of the plane! Our holiday was ruined. We had to pay for a taxi and went home. I sent an email to the customer service and demand a full refund of my trip, insurance included, for a total amount of $1890. I was surprised by receiving the response after 3 weeks stating that " Since they couldn't get the recording, they can't issue any refund". 2 weeks before, I was told by an agent that they should receive a the recording of my conversation with the one who booked the trip within 2 days! I keep calling but nobody is returning my call!

Guest : I WILL NOT RECOMMEND SUNWING AIRLINES. I'm writing this message on behalf of my sister. Yen Mai who is living in Canada. Edmonton, Alberta. She is a new mother of one and another one on the way. She recently booked a vacation through SUNWING AIRLINES, about two weeks ago. January 14/2016. After booking our flight, just now that we heard the shocking global news about the mosquito virus call Zikas in Dominican, as part of the infected country on the list at the moment. Had already infect many pregnant women and their unborn child after returning from their trip. Had my sister did not know about this recent news when she booked for our last minute vacation, so she did not pay for the cancellation fees..because why would we pay extra for cancellation fees If we are going this February 15 2016. Which is in less than 2 weeks???. Anyhow she tried to call SUNWING and ask them to postpone our trip till it's safe to go, or change our destination, if none of the above she is willing to pay for some of the cancellation penalty. After talking to them several times, they did not want to take into inconsideration to help. They did not care for her well being with her unborn child, but to charge her 100% penalty, she goes or not is her choice. As for all the other airlines such as American Airlines with many other airlines on the news had mentioned, they let their travelers postponed their flights. Sadly not with SUNWING company. We are now force to throw away almost $4000. This is our first time booking with them and it will be our last. If you CARE PLEASE GO TO MY PAGE AND SHARE this to warn other travelers who might consider traveling with this company. As you do not want anyone who might want to take their risk, just because of this large amount of money. Throwing away a two whole vacation is not something that anyone can afford, I FIND THIS IS VERY RIDICULOUS AND INHUMANE! They did not care about people's lives but their money. I will report this to the news reporter till I get this straight. I just wanted to quickly respond to this that Sunwing as changed their stance (thank goodness!). I was in the same boat and have been trying to cancel and they would not budge. I called yesterday (Jan.30) after hearing on the news that they are now offering full refunds (for travel voucher...) with Dr's note stating that you are a)pregnant, and b) your dr has advised you do not travel to the area. When I called yesterday I had zero problems. Conversations took 10min and in the end I have a voucher (would rather cash...but alas, I am happy not to lose out completely) for future travel (for one year). Also, noteable is that I was scheduled to travel to Cuba - not yet on the list, but lets get serious - there is no way it is everywhere else and miraculously skipped Cuba. I am replying to your message in regards to sunwing not making any adjustments for your sister with respect to the virus that is going on. I am having a similar experience. Sunwing would not allow me to change hotels after the hotel that we will be staying at on February 15 has gotten bad reviews in global television. I have a long history of medical conditions and it would be unsafe for me to travel to Cuba with this sanitary conditions. The hotel has bed bugs, cockroaches and terrible food contamination. I asked sunwing to change the hotel. I was willing to pay for an fees but they said that I had not purchased their insurance so I was unable to do so. Complete money grab. If we don't go, like your sister, we will lose our money Guest : I WILL NOT RECOMMEND SUNWING AIRLINES. I'm writing this message on behalf of my sister. Yen Mai who is living in Canada. Edmonton, Alberta. She is a new mother of one and another one on the way. She recently booked a vacation through SUNWING AIRLINES, about two weeks ago. January 14/2016. After booking our flight, just now that we heard the shocking global news about the mosquito virus call Zikas in Dominican, as part of the infected country on the list at the moment. Had already infect many pregnant women and their unborn child after returning from their trip. Had my sister did not know about this recent news when she booked for our last minute vacation, so she did not pay for the cancellation fees..because why would we pay extra for cancellation fees If we are going this February 15 2016. Which is in less than 2 weeks???. Anyhow she tried to call SUNWING and ask them to postpone our trip till it's safe to go, or change our destination, if none of the above she is willing to pay for some of the cancellation penalty. After talking to them several times, they did not want to take into inconsideration to help. They did not care for her well being with her unborn child, but to charge her 100% penalty, she goes or not is her choice. As for all the other airlines such as American Airlines with many other airlines on the news had mentioned, they let their travelers postponed their flights. Sadly not with SUNWING company. We are now force to throw away almost $4000. This is our first time booking with them and it will be our last. If you CARE PLEASE GO TO MY PAGE AND SHARE this to warn other travelers who might consider traveling with this company. As you do not want anyone who might want to take their risk, just because of this large amount of money. Throwing away a two whole vacation is not something that anyone can afford, I FIND THIS IS VERY RIDICULOUS AND INHUMANE! They did not care about people's lives but their money. I will report this to the news reporter till I get this straight.

I booked a vacation through them on Monday, the next day the price was lowered $100 per person, my travel agent was closed for the day and I waited till the next day to call them. They told me that there was nothing they could do. I contacted Sunwing and was told that I only had 24 hours for price match, and since I didn't contact them on Tuesday, I was out of luck. I was not notified about this price match/24 hour rule. This place is a sham, they knew when they booked me that the price was about to drop the next day and failed to tell me. I will never book with them ever again.

We have traveled with Sunwing numerous times and have appreciated the good service. (Way better than Transat) We were on the flight from Cuba on the 23rd of January that was delayed for nearly 13 hr. It was a huge inconvenience for us as well, being stuck in the Holguin airport. Sleeping in the airport was lousy, & the bathrooms were disgusting. However....I am glad that the pilot had the sense to turn the plane around and go back to Wpg due to mechanical issues. I don't want to be on a plane that is not functioning properly. We would have appreciated knowing what was happening and why our plane was not arriving. There were alot of upset people who yelled at the "Sunwing messenger" when it was not his fault. He immediately did his best by handing out water (which I saw him buy out of his own money) and tried to get the most vulnerable to the Vip lounge and to supply food vouchers. However it was the airport staff who were extremely unhelpful saying that we could only use half of the voucher in one place and then decided to NOT take the vouchers at all. The staff made up their own prices and what we could and couldn't buy, and then told us they were not taking vouchers at all. It was chaotic and we did not receive $15 worth...but I am guessing Sunwing will have to pay out $15 anyway. There were about 6 types of sandwiches listed but only had one When we FINALLY got on the plane, the attendants were amazing! All snacks, headphones etc were given for free along with the 150. Travel voucher. I felt that Sunwing tried to compensate for the delay. On a totally different note: in regards to Sunwing Vacations...you need to improve on the Hotels that you bring us to. You are putting all of us in danger by how food is handled in many resorts. These hotels need better TRAINING especially in Cuba. In the Memories Holguin resort there was so much cross contamination of raw meat and other foods. The heat lamps were NOT working and there was no cooling for salads etc.that stayed out for hours. It is no wonder there are so many people getting sick at all inclusives. (We had alot of sick people at our resort). The 24 hr doctor service was bogus as well. I came home with a large amount of horribly itchy bug bites..maybe some warnings of how to protect yourself from these horrible itchy things and remedies would be in order. I realize these countries are poor etc but proper health and safety precautions including mandatory hand sanitizer at buffets need to be implemented immediately so that people are less likely to get sick!!

Four family members booked a Sunwing vacation to Veradaro Cuba from January 16-23. The resort was in such a state of disrepair we could not believe we had actually paid to stay there. In our first room the ceiling leaked constantly and there was evidence of black mold in the closet and elsewhere. In addition, the shower was broken and the bathroom sink leaked. We insisted on being moved and we were accomodated. The second room was at least dry and had a working shower although often there was no hot water. In spite of our best efforts, two of us were sick when we left the resort with GI and/or flu-like symptoms. My 68 year old husband was and still is the sickest. We flew home on Flight WG227 on Jan 23. About 30 - 40 min prior to arrival my husband developed chills and couldn't stop shaking. We asked a flight attendant for a blanket and were told the only blanket they had was in a kit that we could purchase for $15. No other assistance was offered or provided. Fortunately, a kind young lady seated next to my husband had a travel blanket in her carry-on which she quickly offered to him and it helped a lot. Our advice is buyer beware.

Let's Just Keep Going On To Any Other Airline than Sunwing. This should be the new song. Wow! Seems like I am not the only one. Our 7 day break away was reduced to 5 days. Upon receiving a letter under out door at 10pm almost 3 days before we were to leave the note said that we must meet the Sunwing rep at 10 am. Nothing other than that. No sleep that night btw as I worried as to what it might be and knowing Frank was a 9-5 guy he would not be available. Met at 9:30 to be told to sign a document stating we were to leave at 9:30am not 9:30pm. One whole day of our holiday. I email sunwing and a couple of days after I returned the replied that they are at liberty to change the flights at any given time and they did. Just gets better! Other guest in our hotel were told that for tips by our sunwing rep he would see what he could do. We stayed at the Viva Windrem in Peurto Plata by the was is a wonderful resort and too bad that Sunwing is allowed a desk there. My travel agent warned me! Never never never again. I strongly suggest avoiding this company.

The worst airline ever. Our flight was delayed 10 hours. We stayed in the airport all that time and was given $15 Canadian dollars for meals in the airport. But bottles of water were selling for $7 US dollars. So imagine what you can do with $15 Canadian dollars. The flight kept on getting delayed and finally we got to take off at 1:30am, the pilot says this plane was going to Cuba but we had to cancel to go there and come pick you up. Sunwing was doing us a favour by coming to cancun and picking us up 👎. All I can say is save yourself a hassle and travel with west jet, air canada or air transet. Sunwing customer service is garbage. Flights never on time. They barely have any good operational planes, how do you expect to fly on time?

In regards to the post about the airline not supporting military troops; travel insurance protects you or your travelling companion if you are call to service in the military. Airlines are not responsible for such situations.
