Arik air charged me fraudulently using Bravofly. I was charged 217 euros equivalently 72000 Naira for a flight that cost 46000 Naira. And when I contacted beovofly about it, Bravofly explained that 218 euros was the flight fee which belonged to Arik air and the remaining 9 euros was their charges, surprisingly Arik air cutomer service confirmed they were actually paid 218 euros for the flight. this is hands down local 419.

I was on the arik flight from port harcourt to Lagos on 14 th February . The flight was scheduled for 11am but owing to delays we boarded at 11.30 and took off around 12 noon. While we were in the air craft, the cooling system was not working , hence we were all sweating profusely. When we were airborne , the cooling system was fairly okay but as soon as we began to descend in Lagos , it failed again . Please I would like to appeal to you to ensure your planes are in proper condition before flying by ensuring all aviation rules are observed .

I would like you to please attend to my case as the CEO of Arik Air. I bought a ticket on the 18th November 2015 but unfortunately, i had an accident that same day that almost claimed one of my legs. Doctors could not certify me for traveling as i needed to undergo series of medical test. I immediately canceled my flight and requested for a refund which up until now my request has not been granted. Each time i call the call centre of your company Lagos centre, they make mockery of me and above all does not even pick my call. A lady/man by the name Mofoluke Oluleye replied my mail on the 5th of January 2016 after sending series of mail to her. But since then she has not replied my follow up mail. Just yesterday 11th of february 2016, i again called the call centre which they referred me to the refunds unit mobile line +2348077791310. It is indeed a mobile line but whoever in charge will not pick my calls. I believe Arik Air is a reputable multinational company who will not soil the image they have built over the years. And i am fully confident of the fact that some pranks going on in your company might not be known to you. but i plead to you to help me look into the situation. Sadly i booked a flight through an agent on the 5th of December 2015, from Benin to Lagos and getting to Benin, I was told that no flight has left Benin to Asaba for four days. As such I have to find another alternative available of going to Lagos. Since then the agent has told me that he has applied for a refund and Arik has not respond till date. This is so bad of a high class Airline in Nigeria. I will blow this out of proportion if nothing is done in a few days from now.

Dear sir i'm very disappointed with the way my wife and child have been constantly been asked to pay for a flight from Lagos to London i have so far paid £1800 for a flight that only cost £900 the first ticket was a direct flight from Lagos to London when my wife and 3 year old daughter got to the airport and checked in everything was ok however when it came to board the plane she was then told that her ticket was invalid and had to buy another ticket. so i sent her the £900 to do this when she bought the ticket she was told that there was no flights to the uk direct this is now Christmas eve and that she would need to get a connecting flight from Lagos to Togo and on to London however when my wife got to the airport in Togo she was told that she will need to wait till news year eve. how today ( new years eve ) my wife and 3 year old daughter went to get their flight to London my wife was told her ticket was bad no reason was given to why the ticket was bad so now i have to pay again another £900 to get my wife and daughter home. I think the why the staff treated my wife was down right disgusting and on help to solve this problem but just asked for £900 pound. if this is how you how you run an air line then you should be ashamed of your self's as a company. if you wish to discus this issue you can reach me on 447940279489 rate for customer service -10

Good day, I made repeated request for a refund of a flight booking which was not concluded online but my account was debited. This transaction took place about month and half ago. I was told that the refund will be made in 21 working days. Up till this moment I am yet to get my money back. I do not know if this is how Arik treats its customers because this is the first time I am encountering this. I am using this medium to ask Arik to do the needful as they are an establishment of high rating and trust. We do not need to drag this further. My email is judeonwuemene @yahoo.com. Thanks.

We missed our first day of conference due to a cancelled flight( delayed us by 24 hours). oh i thought i was just a small hick-up on coming back to South Africa I did not get my bag when i arrived at the airport. The service very poor... I have vowed not to use the airline again.

I tried every means to speak to a representative of your company to no avail hence the reason for my public statement. My mother was to accompany my brother for a medical trip to South Africa today but were refused by your airline to fly after finding their way into the flight. They were humiliated out of the flight after passing through all border controls. Reason giving was that there was a memo sent to Arik by the South African government not to bring in any sick patient at this time, from investigation there is no such memo and the previous memo in place is for your airline to take precaution against contagious infected patients due to the Ebola outbreak in Nigeria. It should be stated that they were both here in 2011 for same medical treatment with visa history on both passport and also with documentations showing that he was coming for a routine check-up. I truly feel it was not necessary to treat my aged mother and sick brother with such disgust and terrible attitude from your staffs. I called my mother while in your office at the airport and requested to speak to your manager (not sure what qualifies her to be a manger if she can't handle customers with dignity) she refused to speak to me and told my mum to ask whatever questions I wanted to pass across. What level of disrespect.... I was hoping to see my mum and sick brother today but obviously your larger than life staffs and management has made that impossible. I regret trying to patronize our own local company......SAA wouldn't have treated my folks the way you guy did. Now they are asked to go back home and get a medical letter stating my brother is fit to travel.....the truth is that he only has depression and needs to be supervised hence the reason why my mother is travelling along with him on this trip. He doesn't have EBOLA like your clueless staffs presume. Only if your staff took time to go through his passport and read documents in their possession stating his medical history and condition. Now I know why people complain about your service.

Very useless airline, very pompous and empty arse-licking staff and very hopeless management. That's my summary of Arik Air. Sometimes I wonder what Buhari is even doing in Aso Rock and Arik Air chairman is opening his mouth calling for an audit of the aviation ministry when he owes staff at least two months salary at any point in time. When you treat people like pigs, they start to behave like pigs. That's is Arik Air for you. PIGSTY!

The don't pay us in time I was working there as an expect pilot and waited 3months for salary at times. They always they are going to pay but they don't. The Chairman is a farad and so is this airline.

wow !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!. Negtive comments here are overwhelming. I was thinking of booking a flight with this airline just because i want to patronize a Nigerian airline but after reading the comments here i changed my mind completelly. What a shame !!!!. The fact that i there is no single post by the airline employee on this site to present the airline's side or atleast clear the company means they dont even care about their public image which confirms their poor custormer service. Thank God i read here first !!!!

Guest : we Arik Air workers have not been paid for 4months now from March till June 2015....Please we are really crying out loud cos aside the salary,we are not given all our due benefits In as much as I hope you get paid soon as you have hopefully worked for it I am not convinced it will make any positive difference to your poor attitude to customers who actually pay your wages. You and your colleagues have shown you do not have a clue what politeness means and I doubt any of you can spell the word courtesy. If things continue like this you will be out of a job and not just a few months of no pay! You have clearly shown you have no regard for anyone.

Sadly Arik is a company whose staff do not know how the company they work for makes money. Our recent experience was one where my wife and 2 children missed the flight ...NOT BECAUSE THEY WERE LATE BUT BECAUSE THEY WERE MISLED. On top of this it appears ARIK SOLD THE SEATS AND THUS MADE OTHERS WHO HAD BOUGHT TICKETS TO MISS THEIR FLIGHT. THEY ASKED FOR OVER N350,000 TO GET MY FAMILY (3 OF THEM) ON ANOTHER FLIGHT AND WANTED THE MONEY IN 1 HOUR! Apart from the ignorant staff laughing and showing no mercy even to a lady and her son with Special needs they had no idea what a Visa Card was when my wife wanted to pay for a ticket to get back to the UK. The lady there asked if it was obtained in Nigeria and if it paid Naira. Wow! And these are the people fronting Arik!!! The IGNORANT woman at the desk asked my wife to go to her agent. What ignorance. The tickets were bought in London. The computer was down and she was arguing that it was controlled by the FAA. Woa!! Very embarrassing. Arik needs to stop selling people's seats and making others lose their flights. It is a DISGRACE. As for me I would not recommend Arik to anyone. The IGNORANT ARIK STAFF thought it okay that 200 people got on the flight and about 5 did not. To her this was a success. What a mess. Arik does not qualify to take anyone's money with the IGNORANT staff they have. ARIK does not also qualify to take anyone's money either. This is just some of what happened however we will put a blow by blow account once my family get back. ARIK...You have just lost 4 customers for good! I don't mind stopping at Ghana rather than travel by Arik. ***Some people reading this might think they will escape this incompetence but I do feel sorry for you as I am sure your experience will only be good for a short while.

What a poor excuse for an airline, customer service is so so poor, I was told at their London Heathrow counter that I could only check 2 bags even though I had the allowance for 6, as I was travelling with 2 of my children. Arik is the worst airline in the world.

Stay away from this airline.Customer service is based in India.You Cannot Get On Time Support when needed.Has any one ever heard of an airline requesting specifics of illness despite doctor's report clearing you to travel?They demanded to know type of illness and specifcs contrary to Hippa regulations with respect to privacy.I am disgusted with this airline.They should not be operating in developes nation like the United States.

Arik air line a Disgrace to Nigerians It has been widely observed that Arik air line operations has been short of both national and international standards. Flight operations are cancelled without due notice or information to their passengers. Arik air has no provision to accommodate their passengers not to talk of providing them with compensation. People are treated with contempt. Baggage are delayed or lost in transit. The common excuses the operation managers are given is lack of aviation fuel,no pilot, or broken down plane. Enough is enough. Let Arik air goes into administration just as its predecessor the air Nigeria and the Nigeria air. Charles Olayiwola

To say I am disappointed with Arik and their service will be least of my worries but to think of All the stress Arik put me through since Thursday when they cancelled our flight, no hotel booking to care for their customer and finally they took us on Saturday 30/05/15 after 10hours of waiting for flight booked for 12noon which took off 16pm only to touch base in UK 23:10pm and informed our bags are still in Nigeria fill form and your bag be post8 to you is all Arik customer receive.

Really sad to see that Arik does not appear to be addressing issues posted here. Why do you guys even bother to have this page if you can not manage. Actually shows what people are complaining about. ARIK your attitude is BAD. I prefer to buy a ticket that is twice the price of yours and a pleasant journey then fly with ARIK just for a nightmare.

Arik Air are the worst airline to ever fly with. Till today im still waiting for my luggage they lost on 30th April 2015. I was suppose to fly back to London. Checked in early all the staff looked haggard, hungry and suicidal. I felt so sorry for them as i have been told a majority of them haven't been paid for 3 months, and as you can imagine many have families to feed and children to send to school. They come into work every day and working to their contract only to be let down by the same company contract. I am a Nigerian but British National, that i can say how disgusted and angered i am to be part of a Nation full of failure, greed and wickedness. Nigeria being actually one of the Richess country in the world, is also the poorest and a country living in * . I started using Arik because i wanted to give back to my country anytime i visited, however i will never in my life fly with them again. This is one of the many bad experiences i have had with them. After checking in on 30th April, No one told us the flight is subject to delays. Went through security and entered the gates of hell room. No air con, no water was provided, no food. The Aircraft they expected to carry all the pax with including their luggage was one of the local planes and not the airbus. Flight suppose to depart at 12.15pm. At 3pm we where still in hell room, only to be told we cant fly with our luggages as the plane was too small. Luggages will arrive at a later date. To get drinking water we where told to buy ourselves as they had no money to provide pax with water. I was so fumed and upset and to cut story short business class was empty, they didnt upgrade some pax to business class for the inconvenience instead they had their own crew members travelling back to UK sat in Business Class. They did not apologise for the delay, the plane was hot as warm air was coming fr om the air con until we finally lifted off. After filling out forms at London Heathrow to claim my left baggages, 10 days later I received one and not the second one. Till today i still havent received my luggage. My designer shows, clothes and bag itself is a total value of at least £600. Im still waiting for news of receiving my bag before taking further actions. Everytime i call they tell me they are still looking that maybe they lost my luggage tag and thats why they cant locate my second luggage. Arik and the managing director of Arik if u paid ur staff then maybe they will have the energy to fix the planes and provide ur customers with the true service they deserve. Some people knew what was happening whilst others had no clue. Arik Staff at Heathrow wh ere hiding in regards to dealing with complaints and disatisfied customers. And the worst part is the staff in Nigeria that havent been paid are more helpful than the ones here that i know u have paid because of the laws in this country, Ghana, USA and Dubai you cant try that rubbish. How i wish Nigerians can have more human employee rights and one to speak out for them without turning into another greedy bribed union. What a shame. Shame on Managements. If Arik continues this way i give them 5 years before they go out of business completely or get bought out. Sorry to say this and i am not being racial but our black leaders have proven so far to be failures by their own greed. Nigeria needs new none african and none corrupt leadership to go into power. I pray Buhari proves me wrong but at the moment his the same as anyother african leaders to me at the moment. I hope Arik boss reads this msgs because three words is SHAME ON YOU treating people this way, and tomorrow you will be in church preaching your innocents.

You can buy Rolex why not buy Virgin airline or BA tickets instead is it because of 30kg you can buy more baggage space as well. I flew from NIGERIA to London on Friday morning and when I got to London,the next morning which was on Saturday I cheked my luggage and I was very disappointed,my goods were stolen from my luggage.......my iPhone 4 & 5, my Rolex and my blackberry,after all I dashed the guy 1,000 naira,so I never knew they will open my bag with a bic to steal my items.pls I need this items back immediately,my contact number is ...07984211055. Arik strikes again QMS sitting in PH arrived at 10h00 for the 11h00 flight.Not a soul at checkin. I finally get a porter who tells me the desks are not open yet. We finally find a lovely lady to help. Wad you want here flight is cancelled. For what? Operational reasons. She grudgingly checks me in and tells the porter don't brng any more passenger to the desk. This airline hasn't got a clue even by African standards.hostile misinformed staff, supposed legal and financial issues and the problems keep on coming. If this is the way they handle flight schedules and finance it won't be long before critical maintenance takes a backseat.All I reads is how good the international routes are and can be compared to KLM come on new planes for international routes and third hand Junkers with collapsing interiors for domestic routes.even Aero has a better reputation but they have far to few flights available.Arik you need to tough love managers on the ground to sort this nonsense out

It's one of the most hilarious Nigerian airliner. On 10 May 2015, at 0300 AM, I was supposed to take Air Arik flight Dakar-Accra-Lagos. Still we are at the airport. Nothing is clear. They haven't even offered coffee or tea neither took the passengers to a hotel. They informed us this morning that the new flight may take place tonight (10 or 11 May). The first time I took the same flight, Air Arik's flight was delayed (Lagos to Dakar). It was in September 2013. Be cautious with Air Arik. The flight attendants and the personnel on the ground are not paid regularly. The personnel on the ground told me that the aircrafts are not repaired on time and pilots face many problems.

Arik Air...Gosh what a disaster. I paid for may ticket. After arriving at the check in i was told to pay extra luggage fees. I've paid that and then they say my boarding pass wasn't proper i had to get a detailed itinerary and that will cost me $185 to print it. I was running around in order to get money as i am already stranded in Nigeria for more than 16 months. I got no job and no work permit. Eventually i got money and paid that fee only to be told its too late to board. I lost my flight again. Now it is additional costs. i have no place to stay, no money to feed myself and already sold all my belongings. Some of the money i had was stolen out of my pocket while dozing off at the airport lounge. On three occasions my wife send money only to discover it was intercepted and already paid out. Oh I have pad the extension money and was about to board on Thursday when they said no i need another boarding pass printed and that will be another $25. My wife send the money but it was intercepted again and i missed my flight again! Do i have to DIE in this country? Got no place to rest my head, no food to eat, no money and still stranded after 16 months! My wife has no job any more and we both are in our sixties. I've got no children or family to help me here. I was just told to come up with another $285 early on Monday morning in order to leave otherwise we are looking at $800. How are we going to get that? My wife already sold our furniture in order to get me home. I am desperate in a country like Nigeria with the worst Arik Airline and officers and officials having no mercy on passengers. Flights are being canceled or postponed left right and center and demands for paying extra is at the order of the day. IF there is any one person with mercy to step up and help me to leave this country, you will find me at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport. I need help desperately!

Today 2 May 15 is another bad experience with Arik Air with their horrible ways of doing business. You can imagine passenger crying at the (JFK) Airport today. As for me I am only writing this in other to join others in stating our view. This company did not have respect for human being. Arik Air cancel flight when passengers were already at the Airport. The management believe we will only make noise and nothing will happen. On 7th Jun 2013 Arik wasted time in Nigeria and missed my connecting flight no rep from Arik to say something. On 1st April 15 I was over charged for my ticket LOS - JFK what they told me was, I bought a promo ticket when my ticket is even cost more than that of business class. Now many of us came to JFK from different states to patronize the so call Airline, all we got was to tell us that the flight has been cancelled. Imagine now I am missing my flight again in Nigeria tomorrow 3rd May 15. Please let us unite and forget about this good for nothing Airline that don't have concern of customer in mind.

Arik air cancelled a flight without any informations. with myself and other passengers waiting to board the flight on the 14th of february.2015,, i was at the airport from 3am until 2100hrs. arik air staff came in arround 1700hrs only to be told that the flight which has been paid for and e-ticket issued was not scheduled to airlift any passenger despite the fact that the flight number was on the screen until 0930am. i was left stranded with my loads as all my relatives has gone thinking i should have been in nigeria,i ranged both uk contacts and lagos contact?s phone numbers only lagos staff member were able to respond but could not give any reason for the cancellation but the uk arikair staff was not responding. when i spoke to the uk staff as they arrive in the evening, no words of apology but only to be told to get back to my agent to rebook me,even big lies from staff members as i was told no flight again until monday. suprisingly, i realised that some passenger were coming on that evening time and they were being wellcome and taken somewhere which i later discover was to lodge them in hotel,. i paid to keep my luggages at the airport and my was was terrified with 2 childrens arranged for a transport to come and pick me uk later in the night, of which a member of staff now came that they can offer me a space next day. what a terrible and bad experience? Why has arik employing untrustwothy staff to manage his international customer relation in uk. then when has arik turn unreliable?. even as at now the uk customer service failed to adequately respond to customer complaints as well as to their own obligations. I hope arik air staff in uk needs re organising and well investigated in the way customer relations are being implemented urgently. I am hoping that my present issue will not result in a legal battle?

I just flew on arik to London the flight was ontime the seat had much mire leg room than Ba the food was good the bar was lacking no wine or other alcohol we arrived 10 min early all good to me

if you miss your flight and want to reschedule, they will make you pay through your nose but when they cancel their flights, they dont give a * abt you.

Hi Arik Air CEO, You gotta have an idea of how terribly ran your company is. Everytime I've flown Arik Air in the past two years, there had been delays. Your staff are very unprofessional! I believe this gives an insight into your abilities as a leader. Just look online, and I can guarantee that there is no single positive review about your airline! My advise to you, let someone who can actually do the job do it and consider retiring in Belize. You should have enough stash in your piggy bank to last a life time. Your airline is a disaster and my prayer is that one of your planes do not take passengers' lives. I can almost guarantee that you cut corners with the maintenance of your aircrafts. Okay, I'm done!

THe airline is not reliable it changes its fligts without passengers's knowledge. lasy ytear I travelled to Accra on my return we have to spend 4 days in nIgeria without food for two days

Why didn't I see these reviews before wasting my time and money buying Arik ticket? I purchased a one way ticket fr om Nigeria to new york about three months prior for my wife.. She was suppose to fly on the 20th but now arik have canceled and moved fligh date to 25th for no reason? Still attempting to contact them but no one is answering the phone. I woke up this morning to find out that the date has been moved again to 26th !!!! Wh ere on earth does this happen in the world?? I have wrote and called their useless numbers, no one is responding. SMH. I pity for Nigeria. NEVER EVER!!!! Never ever will I deal with this useless airline!!!
