Good day ARIK team, I bought my ticket from Travel house Uk in London in November 2016 flew to Lagos on the 27th Nov 2016. I was due to return back to UK on the 26th April 2017. Received an email from Harris in Feb/Mch 2017 that ARIK has been suspended and the refund would be processed on my return also to send copy of new ticket I buy locally to come back. Unfortunately have been back for few weeks now and yet have not receive any correspondence as to when this refund would be paid. What is most annoying is that I found Travel house UK unhelpful especially as I bought my original ticket from them. Airline confirmation Ref number is : Arik Air K3EKBJ

Good day Arik Team, It is with uttermost disdain I write once again for refund of several booked flights . The first been for Mr. Obioma Ngoka with Reference Number :N6F6GB And ticket number :7252108878741 Flight from Asaba -Lagos Booked since 16th November . With a Fidelity Bank ATM card, with its last four digit as: 6195 Debit was the sum of : 34,755naira Then another refund for Mr Obioma Emmanuel Ngoka, Mrs Ifeoma Ngoka, Mrs Luzviminda Mac-Elvis, Mr Ekene Mgbike with Reference Number: MJ3X6W And Ticket numbers 7252108987896 7252108987897 7252108987898 7252108987899 Flight from Owerri to Lagos Booked on the 4th of January With a Fidelity Bank ATM card with Last 4 digit 6195 Debited the sum of 160,920. And the Customer Care representative assured me it will take between 7-21 working days, it's way beyond the specified time, yet nothing has been said or done as regards even the first one which has taken over Several months. The most recent was on Saturday, I booked a flight for one Mrs Angela Dominic from Warri to Abuja, I was debited 22,251 from the same Fidelity ATM card with last 4 digit number : 6195. No reservation number was sent, I called the customer service center and they said the finance department team had closed for the day. Therefore I had to rebook the flight, this transaction has lingered for so long. Please I need an urgent response to my mail.

I had a very awful experience with your customer service at Port Harcourt. I requested for an email confirmation which shows the price of the flight I paid for, so I can revert back to my company and make claims. Their response and their replies where so insulting. The way they asked for details was like they wanted to fight with me. I was so embarrassed. Worse of it all, they weren't still able to give me a response. Please educate them on how to talk to people with respect and not transfer anger they carried from wherever to innocent customers who are just looking for answers. Really poor of you guys.

I bought a round trip ticket for my mother and arik air only sent me a notice the day before the flight that It would not operate. That is the problem with black ppl. I dont know when black ppl especially Africans will be developed with this kind of behavior. the worst thing is that their phone number is not even going thru. I sent an email for a refund and nothing. Its been 20 days past and nothing. no refund. my advice is DO NOT DEAL WITH ANYTHING THAT'S OWN BY NIGERIANS.

Why do people always bang on about baggage. Not every flew because of that, in fact I carried only hand luggage and flew with them because they flew to enugu, owerri, basically east. It meant if the local flights were affected, I'm still ok with my London flights. So I'm gutted about this. Be doesn't go to enugu last time I checked. Do people need to stop this baggage stupidity now. What is the difference in baggage allowance though, not that significant if you ask me. Charles Adeeko : My only advice is not to fly arik air, simple. People are always enticed by the generous baggage allowance but this is a carrot and stick situation. I'm an aviation enthusiast and I track a lot of international flights to Lagos. Not only have I seen more cancelled flights by Arik, but they've now been using a smaller capacity aircraft B737-800. All other international airlines are always on time and reliable. I personally don't mind spending 19hrs from LHR to Lagos on an international indirect flight with guaranteed reliability than spending 6hours with arik with no guarantee of flight. Recently I booked a flight to Lagos from uk and I had a choice of either emirates with 30kg and up to 19hrs and Arik 6 hrs and over 60kgs luggage. Both prices were the same at that time. I thank God I used my better judgment by choosing emirates . On the date of travel, I learnt arik was cancelled.A friend had to travel to Lagos urgently for a funeral but unfortunately booked that arik flight . That's how he missed the ceremony. He is still waiting for a refund since.

It’s sad and shameful the way Arik Air was managed, and I hope (AMCON) will be able to help the situation. What is not clear from their statement at a moment is how they are going to return all passengers from their visiting countries. Also when and how these passengers affected with this airline suspensions are going to receive their refund, as many passengers will need to reschedule their travel plan with another airline on time because many have reasons to travel. It’ll be wise for everyone affected to read Arik Air Terms and Conditions of carriage to determine your position, and their head office in Lagos can contacted through this phone number. 00234 (0) 1279 9999.

Arik is the worst airline in the world. They so deceptive and disorganized. How can they leave passengers stranded since Feb 8th 2017 with a promise to fly on Feb 19th 2017 only to announce a complete stop of all international flights. What a shame to think that as big as Nigeria(not big at all) they cannot handle a simple task as transporting its citizens from one place to another. Meanwhile the papers in Nigeria say 10 billion naira was embezzled. Who ever the manager is needs to go to jail for life or rater needs to be eliminated from this world as he/she is completely useless. Don't fly Arik, NOT EVEN IF IT COST $1. BE WARNED

Akporeha Christian Obukeowho : I booked a flight from Nigeria to south africa on the 4th of febuaury 2017... when I arrived south Africa, I found out that our luggages were still in nigeria.. and today makes it 4days now.... Sorry to say there's not been any Arik Air flight to J'burg since 4th Feb. Doesn't help your luggage. There appears to be just one longer range Boeing 737 in service, that's doing London each day (except 4th Feb)

Mof on Arik air : I fly Arik Air with my dad from Lagos to JFK on 1st of Dec and till now we have not gotten our luggages. Every day you call they must have something to tell you. Example , it's with the customs for clearance, you have been patient and you just need a little patience. I have never seen anything like this. Today makes it 3weeks we came into USA and we have not seen or even heard a positive news about our luggages. Some one please call Arik to order. They should release our luggages as they promised that they will send them or tell us the way forward to get our luggages. It's a big shame. Mof airconsumer.dot.gov/escomplaint/Consumer...

Guest : www.transportation.gov/airconsumer ... Hello JFK-LOS route passengers. I was on a flight fr om lagos to JFK on January 1st and we are yet to get any of our bags and no update or correspondence from the airline. I live 4 hours away from JFK I went last week Saturday 14th and was told the bags are with custom, after custom release them on Monday/Tuesday and they would start mailing them. Till now we are yet to see anything, Out of our 6 bags. The link I have provided above is wh ere you can log your complaints with the department of transportation. Once there is overwhelming complaints against Arik especially on the maltreating of its customers and the negligence care for its customers. They would not be flying into NY or better yet they would be closely monitored which would lead to a higher standard of service like they previously had. Route and travel time wise there are the best option from the northeast. We wish them success but they need better services. If you need to file complaint in the US against Arik, please use this form: airconsumer.dot.gov/escomplaint/Consumer...

My flight to Owerri from Abuja was cancelled by Arik due to "operational reasons" in a rather unpalatable manner. My ticket number and booking reference are 725 21089 75326 and IDQSWN respectively. I made a refund request at the Arik Air counter at the airport on December 6, 2016 and was told that I will get a refund in 21 days. Up to this moment I have not heard from Arik Air. I have sent several emails to Arik Air concerning the refund and there is no response from them whatsoever. How can airline that really wants to succeed in the industry be so callous and unprofessional? I really need the refund of my payment of N48,799 for the round trip ticket. I used my ATM card to make the payment and the cash left my account immediately. It is, therefore, incomprehensible to me why the refund should take so long. What is more annoying is the lack of response from the Ari Air on the matter. However, I will take them anywhere to get my money back!!!! William

When will we, as a nation learn to accept information given to us as true information. Why I will not blame you completely is because for most Nigerian growing up is very hard. Most times are surrounded by people telling lies day in day out to get their way out of been bullied, robbed beaten etc by co -students, teachers, parents, house helps, Aunty, uncles , cousins and even pastors. you name it. So we don't even know the truth any more. I wonder wether or not this passenger had a weather instruments with him to see the weather beyond where he was standing!!!!!? Please grow up!!!!

Guest : All these comments on Arik air, I think is born out of stupidity, malice and ignorance. A lack of appreciation of what other Nigerian are trying to do to help the citizens of this country. People tend to forget that Arik air come into been after so many lives including children were lost in our aviation industry with planes that were not air worthy to fly in other parts of the world used in Nigeria with government official collecting cuts here and there and approving air worthiness for planes that were condemned in other parts of the world. For the first time in more than 50yrs and in the whole of Africa, brand new planes with Arik air was launched in this country to give our people a sense of worth. It is a shame that with administration after administration in this our notorious and currupt country, we have seen the aviation industry struggling on it own with no govemement support . In one of the news papers report at a time Stella the aviation Minster in one of the privious administration was demanding a 5% share of Arik air earnings. With none of her investments in the airline. With this kind of corrupt country how can business strive. With corrupt government official what do you think is happening in the aviation industry? Let us all think. The president Buhari says he is fighting corruption and yet surrounding by the most corrupt people in his cabinet. BA comes to Nigeria from London then goes to Ghana to fuel up to London in a country that is suppose to be the 6th oil producing country in the world. Let us begin to ask the present aviation Minster what is he doing to help our indigenous airlines. We are the most populous African black nation on earth and yet have no air line to call our own. He has been talking of creating our own national carrier. Dose he have to destroy the ones that are flying in other to create one? Again old planes are approved to fly once more at the expense of greed and corrupt practice. When will we as a nation ever learn? Until disaster struck again !!!! Everyone is coming to this forum and making comment here and there about Arik air and inability to fly, Buhari declared recession in the county in September 2016. What do you all thinks it means? Recession only in Aso Rock? what is Buhari and his ministers doing to elivate the recession on our people? Nothing. I pray that we as a nation learn to put blames in the right places not hard working citizens and businesses. That are pleated with government incisiveness and corruption. I wouldn't blame you for saying complaints are results of stupidity and whatever....I dare to say you do not fly with Arik air or as you have rightly say, your comments may be out of stupidity or whatever. If a business cannot live up to its expectation, those it have to short-change its customers for whatever reason? Fly Arik and savor the experience before barraging people's comment. Have your flights canceled, delayed for hours or sometimes days without notification before making comments on people's experience. Have your luggage delayed with perishable goods for days or sometimes more than a week without an official statement from an airline before you comment on what people say.

What a statement. to imagine a fellow Nigerian could exonerate arik for their poor or non-existent customer service and put all the blame on the Nigerian govt is absurd to say the least. So it's the govt that instructed Arik never to update customer on their missing luggage or not to communicate to passengers regarding their luggage. We are so used to poor service that some people see issues like this as the norm. I am one of the passengers affected and as I write 5 days after my arrival in London none I repeat none of my 2 luggage has arrived in London. You can imagine how I feel now with bags full of essential items for my family not yet with me 5 days after my trip with no communication whatsoever from the airline and someone is saying its ok for the airline to treat us as * and only put the blame on the government. I'm sorry if this is how we Nigeria react to issues like this then, then Nigerian should brace themselves for the worse to come. If some people are well-travelled, they will know that airlines has a duty of care towards their customers and not treat them like piece of toilet paper. smh Guest : All these comments on Arik air, I think is born out of stupidity, malice and ignorance.
