It seems everyone have the same problem. My refund was processed and got my refund references on June 26, 2020. Got a reply from PAL that I need to follow up with the issuing bank, how can I follow-up with my bank if there's refund transaction date and transaction reference from the bank utilized by PAL? Mr. Talal (commenter) said got his money back after sending all evidences, what kind of document he presented to the bank? Is the PAL Refund Reference number is the same as Bank Refund Transaction number?

Hi, I'm also waiting for a refund. I got the email confirmation from MyPAL Request Hub that my refund request was received on 16-Jul and the refund to my credit card would take around 3 billing cycles but no refund yet until now. No replies to my followups either.

Delay after delay to issue the refund. My flight from Philippines to Canada was cancelled mid June , and I've had my refund delayed about 5 times. Now it's showing that I'll be refunded next year 2021June ...Very poor behavior from PAL. I appreciate these are difficult times, but I feel very much unappreciated as a customer. I cannot see myself ever receiving this refund.

You all will not get your money from them, I had the same issue but my case is settled. I asked for a refund since Jan 2020, and got my money back in Nov 2020. I went through the same process like everyone, but later I gave up and contacted the bank directly and raised a dispute against them! I sent all the evidences I had and the documents needed, and after about 4 months, the bank replied to me saying that the case was in my favour and they refunded my money!

My tiket was cancelled April 9, 2020 and I filled a refund form April 21, 2020. I was told by a Pal staff it will be refunded within 90 days , made so many follow ups then was told again after 150 days, its been 153 days , already spent lots of money for telephone calls in Pal Phil. office until now they always mention that Refund Certificate to send to my e-mail , so I can go to the bank for the refund, when when when

I am told PAL Australian ticket holders are still waiting for vouchers due to an issue from head office. It is affecting all Australian ticket holders. Something to do with Philippine rolling out the vouchers? Anybody in Australia who had a PAL ticket been issued a voucher yet?

Good day kabayan! I'm currently residing here at Dubai , due the pandemic situation me & my husband was planning to go back home . Last May 26 we booked a flight ticket at PAL , DXB to MNL at 3rd of July . Unfortunately we received an email last july 7 , that the flight was been cancelled . We try to send an email about the procedures if we will do the refund , says that it will take 4-5months so we decided to continue our rebooking . Afterwards we received a call from the Dubai PAL head office that they will rebook it on 1st of Aug & will contact us again once confirmed . Now , 25th of July we received an email that our refund was already approved & processed without any confirmation & conscent on our side . I checked it on Pal bookings online & it was confirmed!🥺🥺 Is there any chances to cancel the refund instead rebooking . Please help. Thank you

So I fill out the rebooking forms online via mypalrequesthub last 30 May 2020 for rebooking our domestic flight to 17 June 2020 from Davao to Manila, I recieved an email that my request will be process as soon an agent hadled it. Unfortunately, till now (04 June 2020) i did not recieved any confirmation or update from Philippine Airlines about my change of Iterinary. My question is how/where could we follow up our request to rebooking, wh ereas there hotline numbers are too busy. Is there any other way to contact them? Because on 17 June 2020 our flight from Manila-Canada was scheduled also with PAL as our carrier. I really need their confirmation asap.

So customer care by email just confirmed my refund request was processed. Hope this helps. Stay safe everyone I dont trust your post, are you working for Ph Airlines? I have been trying, sent them emails, calling and went to LAX to talk to arrivals. They took my email, number, and booking, but no response. Let this be a warning to everyone. Feel free to contact me, because I suspect your working for PH airlines as damage control. cruisepch@gmail.com Guest : I am also looking for a refund on my PAL ticket. Due to the unforeseen circumstances (COVID 19) I would like a refund on my tickets, as we don't know when the situation will get better. Flight# PR119 is scheduled depart on March 26, 2020 and to land in Manila, then from Manila on flight#PR2787 to my final destination Puerto Princessa. Returning on April 8th Flight #PR1782 from Puerto Princessa to manila. then flight PR118 to Toronto. As stated on the News domestic flights are all cancelled therefore making impossible to arrive to my final destination. I would like to have a full refund as I’m afraid for my SAFETY DUE TO KNOW ISSUE AROUND THE WORLD AS COVID19 and unable to get to my final destination. With a country on LOCKDOWN. I find this very disappointed to have to write to the airline when we are having a worldwide issue with COVID 19. My health and safety is a priority for me and my family and i am unable to understand how an airline will look to just have flights reschedule. Not knowing when this issue will be resolved, and Knowing that other airlines are issuing full refunds due to the circumstances. It would of been my First time flying with Philippines airline and i have to say that it has been a very disappointment one. No one answers calls due to the circumstances I will make sure that this is known on social media and the news here in Canada. As this is a world emergency we are having. And feels like the Philippines airline is taking full advantage of the situation, with not letting people make their own decision. And having trouble getting a refund.

Philippines Airlines – Horrible Airline – Travelled 22 Jan 2017 – Davao City to Melbourne. As a first time traveler with PAL, I regret to say, this is the WORST AIRLINE I have ever travelled on in forty four years of flying and I am surprised the Local Philippines Newspapers have not written a few articles about their disgraceful treatment of tourists. Please look at twitter and yelp just for a start at their bad behaviour! PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE do not even think about using this company. I am sure SIA, Cathay, Qantas and Jetstar are far better. My return trip from Melbourne to Davao City was shocking. The PAL staff are the rudest you will find anywhere on any airline. It seems to be a systemic and deep routed problem with this airline. The food was horrible, the staff were disrespectful, they change airport gates at a whim without notice and leave you up in the air and they can’t even dock their planes properly. Plus they are ranked EIGHTY THIRD in the world. For a National Airline that has to be a shocker. And they are not even in the top 60 safest airlines in the world. OMG. How they even managed to be ranked 83rd has left me mystified. I honestly believe they should not be ranked with in the top 100 airlines. As a national carrier they should hang their heads in shame. This company is in total denial about their pathetic record of service. Very sad. When I took the time to point out the error of their ways I received a generic letter from PAL Head Office in Manila and they said that they were a fantastic airline. Amazing. Hello!!!!!!!!!!!!! PAL, in other words you do not care less. But from what I can gather the writer was way too scared to speak up as she fears for her job. What this company needs is a strong leader to speak up and drag themselves out of the gutter, so to speak. But not in my lifetime. Very sad. How low can you sink PAL, how low? Shame on you PAL for treating tourists in such a rude way.

We travelled with Philippine Air on January 2017 fr om Busuanga Airport to Manila. While doing our check in and bag drop we were disappointed to discover that we were asked to pay extra for anything over 10kg in luggage per person. This was shocking to us because when we initially booked these flights online (May 24 2016 Budget economy ticket - PHP 3545 per person) we called back and spoke to someone and they reassured us that if we paid an upgrade fee to a Regular Economy ticket (an extra PHP 448 per person) we could have 20kg per person. Naturally we took this offer up and made sure that we brought all the paperwork with us to the airport for the check in. Unfortunately, the staff at the airport told us that it was a mistake and that no one is allowed extra baggage unless paying the fee on the spot at the airport. Despite it being the fault of the customer service operator back in May, we were told that we had to to pay a very high PHP 3000 for the extra luggage! Again we were shocked and disappointed that even though it was Philippine Air's fault, we were still being asked to pay extra. But to make matters worse, we tried three times to reshuffle the bags to make the weight less and because the weight was just over (11.5kgs per bag) we were turned back and told we would still have to pay. We then asked the service counter if we could then get a refund for the extra fee we paid back in May (PHP 448 per person - we still don’t know what this fee is for??) given we were told the wrong thing and we were paying this fee for nothing. They told us that they couldn't refund anything and it was unlikely that we would ever get our money back. By this time we were very annoyed and frustrated and by the fourth try we were able to get our bags back down to 20kgs total (10kg each). But now we were taking a lot of bags on board! What a * of time and energy this was for everyone! Either way the luggage was going onboard, and given they were the ones who made the mistake, they should have simply allowed us to check all original bags in! Philippine Air staff were very rigid in helping us by declining our weight even though it was close to the 20kgs required for two people (NO OTHER AIRLINE IS THIS RIGID! - WE HAVE FLOWN AROUND THE WORLD OVER 30 COUNTRIES AND NEVER HAD THIS PROBLEM!) We asked for grace with the baggage lim it, but were plainly refused. How many of us carry only 10kg each while travelling? Philippine Air should have the option of 20kg baggage check in, instead of charging per kg at an astronomical rate at the airport!!! BASICALLY ROBBING!

Easily the WORST Airline ever. I had 3 experiences with them and all were worst. Girlfriend bought a ticket and then 2 months before departure date cancelled the ticket and asked for refund. For 4 months they didnt give her the refund (refund less cancellation fees) and just said your refund is issued etc etc. Finally i got pissed and had to involve my bank HSBC. Emailed them with all the proof and ticket terms and finally the bank issued us the partial refund (that we were entitled too). Then next year we went to Philippines for vacations and booked their flights from Coron to Manila. OMG. We had 3 reschedules and so much botherings. They made us stay full day and half night in Manila due to their reschedules. Easily worst airline ever

Avoid them at all times! For domestic flights in the Philippines avoid Philippine Airlines (PAL) at any cost. Yes, it is cheap, but taking all delays, cancellations and complete lack of customer service into account it is costly. Just as an example: from the six flights we booked in April this year only one was on schedule. One of the return flights we booked was from Puerto Princessa to Busuanga and back. PAL re-scheduled the flights to a Puerto Princessa – Manila – Busuanga and vice versa connection and because of cancellation of the Busuanga – Manila flight on the way back the original one hour flight ended up taking up two days. We were given a room and a terrible meal but no other compensation at all. We requested PAL for a refund of the already paid hotel in Palawan for this night but they have not responded to any of the 6 emails we send since April this year. We send messages to “we care” – their customer service department and all other email addresses we could find on the website and guess: NO RESPONSE AT ALL. “We care”? Don’t think so … There are alternatives like Cebu Pacific. We do not have experience with them, but you cannot get worse than PAL. What we saw was that while we were waiting for our delayed PAL flights, Cebu Pacific aircrafts were coming in and leaving. So: be warned!

Horrible! Simply horrible! Ive flown pal 10 to 12 times already and they are never on time. I agree with previous comments, they are expensive and the service is fair to poor. Whatever happen to Pinoy/Filipino pride, I guess it does not apply to this airline. I now fly Korean or Asiana Airlines and I am amazed how many other pinoys/filipino are on these flights. PAL, please take a good look at your operations.

When you don't have to reschedule the flight, the rating for this airline will be three stars. However, when for some reason you have to reschedule the flight, you will get charge penalty, etc. which can add up almost 1 more ticket price, no matter what the reason is. They are not really flexible at all, just think about more charges. L If you think that you have a good price from them, that's not really true. I should listen to my parents and friends do not take this airline.
