Philippine Airlines has the worst customer care! They cancelled our tickets (there were 5 of us un one booking) for no reason. Had to book again. Problem is my card is going to expire this month. My bank advised me to talk to Pal if I can expedite the refund process or give them new account details. I submitted request numerous times via myPalHub but all I got was automated reply. So I called hotline numerous times and the operators the same line that they have limited access, they cant really do anything so I was advised to email wecare@pal.com.ph. Guess what? Just saw this forum and it made more anxious about my refund from PAL. I have been calling them for follow up and each time I get a different response. I have been very patient considering the pandemic but the customer service and the refund process is just trash! And now, im on queu starting 32 mins and instead of getting closer it keeps on pushing me back. Anyone here got their refunds from 2020??

My refund is already 2 years and 2 months I cancelled my son’s ticket november of 2019. I book our ticket in two different book because I am undecided that time If my son will come with me at that time.And then community quarantine happened in manila there is no way I could go out from manila as I live in the province and because of my son’s health issues we cannot fly back to manila so I cancelled my ticket that I booked in Orbitz and I got my refund right away as I pay the insurance but my son’s ticket that I booked through Pal until now 2 years and 2 months passed and with 4 times filling the form in Pal request hub I did not get any refund yet. What about we will just fight this in court so we could get our money back would it be a good idea?.

Same problem here…… I supposed to fly to the Philippine last April 2020, I requested a refund last October and told me to wait 150 business days, so I did. I waited till April 2021 and phoned PAL, they told me to wait 30 business days this time. Last May 2021 I phoned again and told me to fill up the “request hub” thing, now it’s 2022 and still haven’t received my money yet!!!!! It’s frustrating AF !!! Guest : Same issue here. My mom ticket was converted to voucher due to covid 19 my mother unable to fly back to Philippine ticket was on rebook eventually converted to boucher. I call 2 week ago to rebook but b3cause of the date it was to expensive. So i endedp uo asking for full redund the original on way ticket & purchases new one. REP. td.me wait for email during convo im aware of having charged somehow i didnt reliaze the amount of the upon recieve email it was $250 My hubby & I was * off it so h7ve amount. March 2021 flight was cancelled by airline. Until now, payment has not been reversed back to the credit card used for transaction. They keep telling me that it has been processed in July. But until now, still struggling to communicate with them thru emails and messenger in getting my money back.

If Philippines Airlines has been notorious for taking up to 2 years to provide a refund prior to covid evening happening. I can't even wrap in my mind how much BS me and thousands of other customers are about to endure. It's no wonder this failed company has tried to file for bankruptcies in both US and Philippines.. No company should take as long as 5 months to provide a refund. I am on my 9th month awaiting my refund due to the global pandemic, and this is just insane to have to anticipate up to 2 years to get the money they had already spent and used. HEART OF THE FILIPINO!? MORE LIKE STRESS OF THE FILIPINO. Corruption has always been at the core of Philippines since the beginning and end of Spanish acquisition, While it still live and well today.. SMH.

I had two flights Vietnam to Manila cancelled at the end of June 2020. I have been waiting a year and a half for my refund which was supposed to take five months. I think it’s safe to say Philippine Airlines is not honouring their refund policy. I have called once a month for the last year and a half They are always very sorry and forwarding my concern to someone else. My Barclays mastercard didnt do NOTHING but after two years we got the refund ..less $480 and didnt botherto refund the seat upgrade fees. My useless credit card card to complain with the airline if I still want to push for FULL refund. Needless to say this POS airline is non existent and will never book with them EVER. Dude why leave all that personal info here? After two years of countless email follow up i eventually got my refund. Partial. These crook of an aiirline charged fees like $20 for each domestic ticket and $80 for international flight. Also they never refunded the stupid seat upgrade fees. Im down over $500 with that stupid airline which I dont have anything to do with. Try filling out their stupid online form tgats how I was able to get my refund back. You fill that out per ticket not per booking party. There was 14 of us so I had to fill one for each ticket. Goodluck. Do not give up!..and one day they will deposit the money into your account..just like us...be tenacious and good luck.

Sorry guys but what is a CAB? I bought our tickets from a travel agency in London that closed during start of the pandemic. Been emailing PAL, useless pal, kept on asking me to get refund from the agency to which I kept on informing them it closed ages ago. They converted the tickets to vouchers but can't use them as their fares went so much expensive. We would have added about £1200 per person just to be able to use vouchers so emailed them I want them converted to credit card refund. Its now over 150 days, as they said it will take 150 days to be refunded. I habe not seen a single penny still. They are still fobbing me off to refund from the travel agency. I wanted to give them a go hence bought tickets but never again. Will carry on with Cathy Pacific, wished I listened to hubby! Good luck to us all!!!

Been emailing PAL and even submitted a fefund form telling them again and again travel agency went bust as they just kept on replying get the refund from the travel agency. My flight last April 2020 was cancelled and converted to travel voucher. I used the travel voucher last Dec 2020 to purchase a RT tix to japan. I added an additional cost to pay for the booked flight. My travel date to japan as a tourist is this coming sun, oct 24, 2021. Unfortunately, tourists are barred from entering japan until further notice. I talked to a PAL agent today (oct 18) and informed me that they can not convert the tix to travel voucher as the payment made last dec was a voucher. I understand that it was a one time courtesy as per their advisory. Rebooking my flight will cost me a fee and I can only rebook it til dec this yr. I opted for refund but they wanted me to show docs (visa and hotel bookings in japan) which is impossible to produce since we were not able to apply for a Japan visa this yr. It seems like PAL does not want to provide any possible solutions to their customers whether the travel ban to the country is evident. It sucks that this company is like extorting money from us. until now, I'm still upset since there's no assurance of getting my money back. all i asked and requested from them is to have compassion and to give another courtesy to convert my tix to a travel voucher so i can use it sometime next year. it's frustrating that I have given consideration not to refund my money since PAL has filed for bankruptcy.

Guest : Guest : Yes. A hard lesson learned. I also wrote their Dept of Tourism but nothing ever came of it. That country is reeking with corruption to the core. It also seems theres media block out for negative publicity. But definitely not flying and heading that region. As much as I would love for my american children to discover their roots. It is not worth the headache, hassle and heartache. There are sooo many places to explore and spend our hard earned money on Cancun, Hawaii and Bali without having to deal with this POS airline and its just as fun. I wish its easy to set up a class action law suit. Is there any US based lawyer out there who got scammed by PAL? Thats a very huge amount of money they are holding and its supposed to make interest. I feel sorry dor those who charged credit card and earning interest for that tickets never used. We finally got something back after months of following up and waiting BUT way less than what we paid. They give us a refund of $333.07 per ticket for a $1,600+ ticket. I honestly do not understand - cannot comprehend what this company is doing or up to. No email to explain why. No need for an email or any notification if the full amount is refunded but this??? - it looks like they will be doing refund instalments? So tiring having to go after our money they had no issues taking. So frustrating!!!

Sorry were all in the same boat. Just be patient. It’ll come eventually. Im sure their current excuse now is Metro Manila is currently on lock down again and the offices are closed. My refund only started coming in after 18 months since the initial request to process refund. They didnt give the entire amount they took off like $20 out of $97 that was paid per ticket. I booked 11 tickets but they didnt refund per booking and instead I has to re apply for EACH ticket. I guess this airline is hoping the customers will just give up their refund assUming they already file claim with their travel insurance or their credit card company like Amex paid the customers. I am still waiting for five out of 11 tickets. I am infuriated that they have the nerve to charge fees when the money paid to them in 2019 is pretty much an interest free loan fir this scammer of an airline. All the airlines I booked for our 2020 canceled covid trip have redunded in FULL except for Philippine Airlines. PAL kupal epal. Liquidity issues?? Their CFO is a greedy, cunning jerk. How can Cebu Pacific manage when this airline is the official carrier of that POS country. Karma will get eventually catch up to them. After 18 months of waiting I only got 6 out of 11 tickets refunded. I was told “maybe the system flagged” the request “ because the last name doesn’t match mine.. I book for my sister’s family so duh the surnames are different. I had to re start a new claim for five of my family members on their stupid website. I won’t be surprised if that takes 24 months of billing cycle. To add insult to the injury PAL had the audacity to make me pay for fees and the difference in forex rates. Cebu Pacific never did this to us. Make sure you file a claim on their website you can also follow up through there. Its just takes too much of my time to follow up and beg for ny own hard earned money. This scammer airline didn’t refund those seats upgrade fees as well. Guest : Guest : Hello can you help me. Guest : Hello can you help me. Philippine Airlines promised to give us our refund withing 5 months its is already 8months and still we haven’t receive the refund. I kept on calling them and it seems there were a lot of lapses. I feel really frustrated. To those who received their refund what did you do? Thanks in advance. hi, can you update me of your refund status?.. we also applied for a refund at PAL for almost 12 months now we still didn't get our money.

Hi we are also experiencing the issue with Philippine airlines. our refund thicket application is almost 12 months now. still they did not return our money. when you call them they will not pick up the phones.
