Found him on twitter. I twitted about my lost luggage and was asked to followed Airberlinassist account. In the messages Rene helped me at first. But I couldnt reach him later. There are apparently many different people working for that account. Guest : Guest : Got the luggage today. Lost at noon, 2nd. The assist Rene on twitter was very friendly helped me to change the wrong information and told me not to worry. The deliver guy is also nice. He said he looked for our house for one hour. But there's no phone call before delivery. Lucky we are home. Though the two people are nice, still no more airberlin for us. The customer service is just hell. Guest : God! Air Berlin lost our luggages on the trip from Chicago to Düsseldorf via Berlin. There are a lot of important stuff we bought from the trip. informaion about one bag is wrong in their website system. And we get contradictory information from world tracker and lostbag.de. Can't believe how incompetent and indifferent the people working there are. They obviously don't care about customers. What they want is just letting you out of their sight and call their work done. The phone number also doesn't work. Only answering machine. Very upset about this trip. Who is this "Rene" and how did you contact them on twitter?

Both of my bags were "lost" on that flight. Have you heard anything or do you have a number to call regarding this? Guest : Air Berlin apparently "lost" about 150 pieces of luggage on flight AB7006 from Dusseldorf to Orlando on 4 August 2017. No one was given a reference number, but everyone was given a Property Irregularity Report and told they would be contacted. We'll see.

Air Berlin apparently "lost" about 150 pieces of luggage on flight AB7006 from Dusseldorf to Orlando on 4 August 2017. No one was given a reference number, but everyone was given a Property Irregularity Report and told they would be contacted. We'll see.

Swissport says the luggage is still in Berlin, let's see how long it will take to get here :( Have you got any information about luggage? They repled my email that they have no information about my suitcase. Nothing so far. I'm sure the bags are still in Tegel together with hundreds of other delayed bags. They probably have to deliver them at some point, otherwise the baggage handling area in terminal C would overflow. Or they simply load them onto the next random plane.

Luggage lost on 29.7 Munich to Gothenburg via Berlin (7 days ago). Still no sign of the luggage, Menzies Aviation, the outsourced company, only responsible for the first 5 days. Now airberlin should take over. No-one at Airberlin answers the phone, then on simply gets disconnected. Emails not being answered. They completely ignore the passangers! Shame on them!! Never, ever again that airline!! May the go bankrupt!

Yesterday, Berlin-Helsinki, about 20 bags lost. The lost luggage desk at Helsinki airport was a mess. No informations after the claim.

Guest : Guest : AirBerlin lost my luggage on a direct flight from Berlin to Helsinki on Sunday July 30th. I have tried to contact the baggage handling firm but haven't had any luck. They told me they'd update my file as they search for the bags but no updates have been made. It seems like no efforts are being made for my bag to be found. Do not fly airberlin if you need to check in a bag. I was on that same flight. My luggage is also still missing, and zero updates from air berlin. Second your recommendation. I was on the same flight with you. I have no information about my bag, too. So annoyed!!!

Who is Marie Reynolds and how did you get in touch with her? Guest : Read this discussion and got in touch with Marie Reynolds from Triangle Services. Used Air Berlin to go to Italy. They lost our luggage and got a big run-around. Called every day of vacation and they said it was on the next plane. Had a wedding and needed the the formal clothes that were in the luggage. No such luck. Got back and it's almost a month and heard nothing. Called Marie and within the week had the luggage back. Air Berlin and their customer service is lacking. Marie is wonderful!

What is the phone number you used to call her. We flew from Salzburg to Rome with Air Berlin 2 days ago. They had a delayed flight and as a result we had to run in Berlin to catch our connection. Of course our bags stayed in Berlin. They were able to send one bag to Rome out of 4. And there were 4 flights from Berlin to Rome in that time period. As a result we had to leave today for Belize, Central America without most of our bags. When we called Air Berlin they said it is not their fault but the baggage handlers and say to wait 5 days which we did not have. Guest : Anybody from july 1 from berlin to chicago? My girlfriend and I both lost our two large bags I was on that flight and had both my bags lost as well. I flew with two kids (4 month and 3 years old) by myself on July 31st. Vienna-Berlin-JFK. Both plain had delayed. And the end they lost my stroller!!!! I do not have stroller 4 days ago!!! They do not answer for phone call:(

Hi! Lost my luggage when traveling with Air Berlin from Gothenburg to Budapest via Berlin. We and several other passangers reported our bags missing. I could not fin ANY information on the airport about what kinds of compensation we are/arent allowed for necessities. I have medicin for at least 200 € + clothes and what not..

This airline is * , they lost my bags and at least 6 others, they don't care,they say they will compensate you but it seems to me most people have a hard time getting any money from the. I'm leaving to go to another country after 4 days and looks like I will have no clothing to take with me.

It is terrifying how poor quality Air berlin have both when their flights suffer from delays and their total lack of responsibility when it comes to handling checked in luggage. We also checked in our bags on flight AB8006 due to a full flight. Air berlin shurely knew that there was luggage to be loaded on the plane. The question is if they left it behind on purpose. Yesterday we got all our luggage back.

We went from Stockhom->Berlin->Salzburg 31:th of juli. We got our luggade after 3 days, all food for our allergic kid was destroyed. Guest : Air Berlin lost all but 1 luggage on flight AB8006, from Berlin to Stockholm yesterday 30th of July. We haven't heard anything with regards to any of our 3 bags. Guest : Air Berlin lost all but 1 luggage on flight AB8006, fr om Berlin to Stockholm yesterday 30th of July. We haven't heard anything with regards to any of our 3 bags. Have anyone from this flight heard anything or received any lost luggage? I am still puzzled with the fact that they managed to load just one single bag for a full flight, didn't anyone at the airport question that it is kind of strange that it was only one passenger that checked in their luggage?! The airline lost my parents luggage on the 29.7, they were flying from Tel-Aviv to Copenhagen in order to board a cruise. The bag is still nowhere to be found, my parents are on a 2 week cruise in the middle of the sea without warm clothes, medicine or personal belonging. I call the airline, send emails but get no answer in return. My parents vacation is ruined. Thank you, Air Berlin. Will never use your serives again.

My daughter flew from Venice-Düsseldorf- JFK last Saturday. She was flying with two classmates, who luckily received their luggage. My daughter was not so lucky. After a very long travel day we left JFK without her suitcase. The number they give you to call is extremely frustrating. You either get a busy signal, just ringing ringing, or a full voicemail message. She googled the email and they sent back a generic "we are trying" type of response. After looking on this page and another persons suggestion, she posted her issue on the Air Berlin Facebook page. They responded pretty promptly but not with any solid information. Her dad brought her back to JFK on Monday evening and they spoke to Omar there. He tried helping and gave her a tracking ID number and was sympathetic. Wednesday morning, she received a phone call early in the morning that the bag was found and a van was on its way to deliver it. Such a relief! However I feel like we wouldn't have had such an outcome if we did not persue this in person and on Facebook and with email. Good luck to all!

They lost my luggage (it´s been over a month) and gave me contact number to call to. Call never went through because mailbox was so full and few days later number didn´t even work. I got reference number to track my bag but only help what was given for me after every phone call I made was "please email following address" now my reference number is unvalid and I tried to call people to ask "what´s going on, is anyone even looking for my luggage anymore...???!!" respond was "unfortunately we couldn´t track your luggage, please contact following EMAIL..." NOT ´VERY´ GOOD COSTUMER SERVICE for my opinion....... never going to flight with AirBerlin anymore.

Traveling from auh-Berlin- prague in 22 July by airberlin We have reported missing baggage and this is the 6th day and People from airbrlin keep saying we send it to Prague the. Ext day And people in prague confirm recieving nothing. So were are my bags !!!! I will never travel through Berlin so what ever. Even by other airlines.

I dont really know much about hacking after so many tries i met Cyberhacking lord who later help me find out my husband has been cheating on me and stealing from my bank account, he had this scheme going for 6 months. He gave me access to his mail,social media account,phone(could see deleted messages) and even track his location, still going to sue to him. Lost 2 bags July 3 fr om Tegel to Prague. One was delivered to our hotel the next day, the other showed up in Montreal (wh ere we live) over 2 weeks later. AIr Canada called us to say it was in their possession. I made a claim with the online form and got a reply one week later only to find out that the reference number they give, and asked me to provide on yet another form, does "not correspond to a file". I may mail copies of my receipts directly to the office in Berlin. Frustrating that there is no phone number. At least we got the luggage back, intact.

Air Berlin lost my luggage 2 weeks ago. I flew Florence - Dusseldorf - JFK. After 2 weeks of zero contact from Air Berlin or JFK, over 100 calls to phone numbers that either didn't work or no one picked up, several emails that also went unanswered, frustrating, pointless calls to the main AB service desk, and one FAA complaint, today I went to JFK myself and - VOILA! - there was my bag. It had probably just been sitting there for the past 13 days. I cannot offer an explanation for the staggering incompetence of this airline, or the apparent complete disregard they have for their customers, but my best advice for actually getting your luggage back: if you are able just go back to the airport yourself.

What is FAA? please Joe D : Hello AirBerlin victims! I have found a way to retrieve lost luggage from AirBerlin. Step 1: File a Claim with AirBerlin onsite at the airport you found your bags to be missing. Get a file reference number. Step 2: After a few days, contact the FAA and tell them you are getting nowhere with AirBerlin (if that is truly the case). Have the FAA work with the last non-AirBerlin airline you flew, ours was United Airlines. Step 3: Contact the last non-AirBerlin airline you flew to ask them to PHYSICALLY search the AirBerlin area of the airport you didn't get your bags at in the U.S. NOTE: They will need to physically search AirBerlin's baggage area when AirBerlin people are at the baggage counter which is ONLY when an AirBerlin flight is arriving from Europe. So, for example, we had United Airlines employees searching the AirBerlin baggage are at O'Hare Terminal 5 only when the AirBerlin flight was coming in, from 12:45 - 2:45pm each day. We were able to retrieve 4 of our 5 missing bags this way! Hoping you get your bags back!

What the hell is happening there in Berlin? My flight was from Tegel to Prague on 22nd of July. Each time I call the Czech airlines baggage claim they say there is no any updates. When I asked them whether they are contacting Berlin airport to follow up, the Czech airlines say that people in Berling Tegel and Air Berlin are not responding because there are hundreds of passengers whose luggage are still missing! This is really the worst experience I ever have and it is a real shame on Air Berlin.
