Wizz Air Discussion

I have recently booked my flight on Glasgow Airport website to travel to Katowice Poland on the 28th March. I've been doing some research on the Wizz Air and forums and other websites have been saying that Wizz Air is not to be trusted. I have my own issue concerning a Reservations email I received which had the wrong address on it. I don't what this could mean, perhaps my booked ticket could be sent to some random place in London instead of my own home. Anyways I have replied to their emails with this issue and even complained about it on their website and I have received nothing but automated emails that don't have anything to do with this address mistake. I don't want to phone them since people were telling me that they will * your time trying to drain your money with long phone calls. So far everything I heard is not showing Wizz Air in a good light, but my Girlfriend who lives in Poland says that some people that came to visit her from america have had no problem getting to her and back. I'm really stuck between a rock and a hard place with this, should I cancel my flight to poland or should I just take the flight?. (Any advice on how to deal with Wizz Air without hassle would greatly be appreciated)

My wife and I flew for a romantic break in Budapest. When we got to the airport we relised that although we checked in, our boarding pass had been left in taxi and made our way to checking desk. TO our surprise they charged us £30 EACH to print a boarding pass (paper) off. This was shocking as i have both flown with Ryan air and Easy jet and they DO NOT charge such a outrageous fee. We then made our way to gate where we were rudely ushered to the front of the queue and told to put our bags, which were your normal small hand luggage bag that we used in both Ryan Air and East Jet. The holder we were told to measure the size was what i can only describe as a JOKE. I was told this is for small rucksakes and not for small luggage bags ...WHAT????? the picture on website clear shows a LUGGAGE BAG NOT A RACKSAKE!!!! When i urged my point i was told the i should of measured with tape measure. When they measure i mas 2cm YES 200mm over the required size. I was told TUFF and thats our rules!!!! I had same issue on the journey back due to unable to pay for extra baggage as did not have email address to change bagggage as this was booked online by lastminute.com. The most reduiclus thing about this, is that on our return, where my bag was ok on way out and wifes not. my wifes bag was now ok and my bag not /.....WHAT .... inconsistency.... To make that worse, the fight was delayed taking off because we were waiting for bother piliot that we had to on way home to Luton, drop him off in Prague to catch a flight......JOKE OF A AIRLINE.... I have told every single person i know or I will meet, Wizz air MIGHT SEEM CHEAPER BUT IN LONG RUN MORE EXPENSIVE.... GO WITH EASY JET OR RYAN AIR.. THEY ARE FAIR AND STILL UNDER THE BUDGET THAT WIZZ WOULD BE. We fly out 3/4 times a year and this was my 1st and LAST i will ever fly with WIZZ AIR....Please DO NOT FLY WITH THIS COWBOY COMPANY!!!!

I just canot do online check-in..after finding booking and look all the info on first side comes prob. After hitting "Continue to Web check-in" keeps backing me on main site of wizzair.com .I did Call Service and they told me that they canot do it for me....WTF. and YES gir pushing you to talk BLA BLA so that they can take extra 10e fr om ya......(smart). Lets make me long story short, at the end i think i will not make to do this F Online check-in and print piace of papier wh ere says "i am who i am" and pay extra one more time 30e at the airport.conclusion is that pay check in in same time as ticket or this free service isnt free actualy...you pay x3 more.

Never again, got charged for not doing online check in, I told them I was unable to do it as the site didnt work for me, they didnt care and kept telling me that it was working and just wanted me to fork out more money. How can people do this kind of thing!! Other airlines care about customer service but wizz air only care about ripping people off by posing as a budget airline and then finding ways to exploit customers!! If there was one airline that deserved to be shot down over Ukraine it would be wizz air with only the CEO onboard, not Malaysia airlines, they are a good airline!

Hi, , I am going to Poland (Gdansk) for a holiday and i was wondering whether you can take a Penny Board on Wizz air because unlike other airlines which actually bother to mention if it is alright or not these people don't and to call them its like 92p per minute which a huge rip off, they don't even have an email.... So does anyone have experience with skateboards and wizz air? plus does anyone know whether your allowed to your board through Luton and Gdansk security check in? Luton doesn't really say much about not taking it but Gdansk says no however i called them and they said it doesn't matter it depends on the airline which wasn't really helpful as i wanted to know if i can actually take it! Please let know what to do! Thanks Jason

Guest : Certainly the worst airline I have used. Rude staff and virtually no service. A faceless company. I've flown at least 30 times with Wizz Air and have never had a bad experience with their staff. In fact I'd say the cabin crew have been consistently well behaved. I've seen some mean staff at Luton Airport gates but they aren't Wizz Air staff but employed by the Airport contractors... Menzies I believe.

Not that cheap! Super uncomfortable chairs and i flew a lot in my life and never had such feeling... Moreover, we never got the ticket to the email so we've printed the full order with all the emails they did sent us. on the way out the girls of the company said -"no problem don't worry about it" and on the way back the other team said "30euro per person and we don't agree to listen even they told you so..." I've contact the company and they said they don't care.

M. Roman : Just wanted to say: Beware of their discount membership!! You have to be among the passengers if you buy the ticket with it. Changing the passenger details if you book it for family is not possible, and cancelling the flight is usually more expensive than the flight itself. I would highly recommend to everyone not to accept any offers from Wizzair even just due to their very poor customer service. They tell you all these things before booking. Everything is written on their website but because you are lazy to read , do not blame them. Wizz is not the company who provides the best customer service, but you book with them just because they are cheaper. No need to exaggrate things, Wizz is still one of the best among budget airlines.

Guest : "Terrible experience - will never travel with Wizz!!" Upon check-in of my hand luggage which didn't fit the measurement box for small cabin baggage (due to a small- really small- plastic at the wheels), I was asked quite rude to step away from the queue and wait until a "lady" would come to charge for big cabin luggage fee. While I was waiting several other passengers had the same issue - due to minor size differences (really small) they had to queue for payment. Most of them were very * that for quite small baggage's (which are standard for cabin) they had to pay 35 euros. To make things even worse the fee could be paid ONLY WITH A CREDIT CARD due to whatever financial reason. I only had cash (euro) with me..like any other human being on the planet. I asked the "nice lady" what should I do, as I don't have a credit card with me to pay. The answer was: "I don;t know, check with my colleague, it's not my problem, ask the other passengers to pay for you with their credit card !?!?!?" There were also other passengers in my situation, all were * and couldn't believe how a company can treat their customers with such non-sense and create such a miserable customer experience. Was lucky to find one passenger that accepted to pay with his credit card the fee and could board on the plane. I've heard so many people talking in the bus to the plane that this is too much and they will never fly with Wizz. Can someone blame them?

Can I take pushchair pro child above 2? In frequently asking question I did find following IS AN INFANT ENTITLED TO ANY BAGGAGE ALLOWANCE? Infants are not entitled to any baggage allowance with the exception of a pushchair / foldable baby carriage / infant car seat per infant (carried free of charge). Please note that prams and pushchairs shall be checked in with other baggages and will be carried free of charge given that the itinerary includes an infant. However if no infant or child is involved, these items will be carried as checked-in baggage for an additional fee. According last sentence, it does say, if no infant or child is involved, there is additional fee. I do get it, that child is over 2 years and if a child is involved, the fee should be for free. Unfortunately I can not find the same sentence in their general condition of carriage. Does anyone know, how is it?

It is IMPOSSIBLE TO CANTACT WIZZAIR unless you are prepared to pay £10-£15 for phone charges at least !! There is not a single email address that you can write to only a claim form and the auto reply says Please be informed that no reply will be sent to your question apart from this automatic message but you will most probably find answers to your questions on our website:FAQ:wizzair.com/en-GB/useful_information/faq... and/or General Conditions of Carriage: wizzair.com/static/downloads/GCC_WAH_EN.... Ridiculous!! What is the pint of sending a complain then ?

I paid my ticket trough bank transfer according to WIzz Air policy, however a week later the reservation was showing on hold, I called their customer service which can hardly be called service as those folks hardly speak English or Spanish and are not even able to explain what they are trying to say. They asked me to send a copy of the payment and call back to check if they received it. I did so and they said they cannot see the content of the page…in the mean time, my ticked got cancelled…and a day later they keep saying the same thing…we need the proof of the payment …I also called the bank who confirmed that everything has been properly done on their side…This company is just a fraud…

Beware of their booking mobile app - it is designed to fraud your money. They scammed me for £280.. I attempted to use their mobile app and was charged 4 (FOUR) times for 1 transaction. When I tried to make a booking, the app displayed a message 'the card payment hasn't gone through', so I retyped the card details, thinking I made a typo, the same message appeared, so I switched to my debit card. After having received a third message 'The card payment has been rejected' I moved on to my laptop. The payment on the laptop has gone through fine. You can appreciate my surprise when, a week later, I discovered 4 transactions from Wizzair, 3 of which were for different amounts of money, and when I logged in to Wizzair, there were 4 bookings for the same name, same flight, same date and the same hour. So, according to Wizzair, I'm going clone myself 4 times,. Summarising, they owe me £280 for 3 of those transactions. I emailed their customer service, but no response for 9 days and counting. They say if you have an urgent issue you can call them but... the calls cost only 77p per minute!! Nice way of making a few extra bob on top of what they've scammed out of me already. So not only did they steal my money by abusing my consumer trust, but also want to charge me to speak to them! I recorded it with my bank as a fraudulent activity with my bank.

I experienced problems with Wizz Air making an international bankpayment for a ticket. I booked a flight which I paid by an international bankpayment, which was not confirmed directly. When I called the 0900 no. (which is EUR 0,80 per minute), I experienced the worst service ever: I was put to wait several times for 80cpm, I was hung up, wasn't listened to and so on. Finally, someone told me that the payment wasn't received within 24 hours, so that my booking was cancelled. The money would be transferred back to my account. I am still waiting for this after another shift of e-mails, telephone calls and faxes! DO NOT use the international bankpayment option for Wizz Air tickets! It will cost you money which will not be returned.......

Will never fly with this airline again. I had my worst experience in 16 years of flying. My vacation in Italy was ruined. Customers service is horrible!!! The airline is not baby friendly!!! Staff were rude and offensive!!! Spend your money with a different company if you want a pleasant flight!!! It is so bad that I told my travel agent to never book me again!!! If you care for more detail here it is The incident occurred when I came with my 4 years old daughter to the counter in ROme to check in and receive our boarding passes. Caucasian male pressured and forced me to check in our only bag besides the stroller and backpack with food and toys. Between 2 pieces total weight was not over 15 kg. The man was extremely rude and made me cry. I flew with the same luggage 4 days earlier and had no problems when it came to bags. The man shocked me by his inappropriate and unacceptable attitude and manners. He made my experience at the airport and with WIZZAIR very stressful say the least. In 16 years of flying all over the world I have never experienced such horrible customer service. I felt violated and abused by a male who should not be working with people. As a customer I am paying money for services and expect to be treated with respect. I felt discriminated and put down as a woman and a mother when dealing with this man at the counter. I took pictures of at least 4 bags of similar size that were carried on board. At this point I felt cheated too. I have asked for the man s full name and he refused to provide it and said that it is company s policy not to not disclaim any names. A good company can take pride in its services including customer service and in our competitive world should strive for excellence. I felt like I was in the third world and treated poorly and unacceptably. I would like to add that the airline is not baby friendly at all. The point of having a stroller is to make trips for children comfortable. When I was flying fr om Vilnius to Rome my daughter s stroller was not brought to the gate like all other airlines do. The stroller was nowhere to be found on the luggage belt 6 either wh ere bags for passengers at this flights were delivered. After extra 30 minutes of wait time I went to lost and found and was told that the stroller was dropped of besides belt 4. When my daughter fell asleep on the flight from Rome to Vilnius and I asked for a blanket and a pillow since our carry on bag was taken away the flight attendant told me that there was none. All together I would rate the airline no more than 2 out of 5. Experience with WIZZAIR ruined my vacation mode and upset me more than I have ever anticipated. Follow up customer service was as bad as the original offence. DO NOT FLY WIZZAIR!!!
