I will never ever use sunwing again. If they actually have a customer service department they do not show it as my travel agent logged a complaint way over a year ago and they will not respond AT ALL to him.

My travel agent filed a complaint to sunwing over 18 monmths ago. I resent it 11 times since then. I have no received any reply and they will not allow you to talk with anyone. I have been ignored completely for over 18 months. Sunwing has the worst customer service i have ever been subjected to. Sunwing is the worst company I have ever done business with. I am ashamed that a Canadian company is so dishonest. If you wish to enloy your holiday DO NOT book with Sunwing.

A Sunwing employee stole my sons really expensive jacket and admitted it as we were leaving to get back to Canada. 18 months later and sunwing will not even respond to my concerns. Not a call. Not a email. 100% ignored. Since this time I have found ALLOT of customers who will NEVER use Sunwing for various reasons and also had no resolve from customer service.

Sunwing airlines operates many of it's flights as 'wet-leases' from cheap foreign carriers. These foreign carriers are not bound by Canadian safety standards. Even though you are a Canadian who booked your trip with a Canadian carrier and through a Canadian travel agency, you will not get the privilege of the safety standards that Canadian aircraft are held to. Specifically you can expect to be forced to use a loop belt restraint for your children, a type of belt system banned for infants in Canada because it is dangerous to the infant. You can also expect to be in a cabin without English/French safety signage. Sunwing has many other problems associated with it's status as a provider of cheap and discount services. These issues are to be expected, but I think that most Canadians will be surprised that Sunwing is willing to compromise the safety of their travellers, including the children who travel with them. Personally I do not care too much about all of the poor service reviews. Sunwing is a cut rate discount provider and provides the bare minimum in terms of service, and this should be obvious to everyone who books with them. However, I do not think that gives them license to take liberties or cut corners when it comes to the safety of their guests in the air.

Horrible, horrible airline. They were very unorganized, boarding the plane was a complete disaster. The staff were shouting out who was allowed to board first which was elite, completely fair but then a third staff member started a third line up and allowed everyone else to board which doesn't even make sense. The staff are very rude, they do not act professionally, they do not even greet you hello or goodbye when you leave. Everything was a complete disarray. They then lost mine and 6 other couples luggage and were telling us that someone had probably taken all our luggage. I know for a fact that my luggage did not even drop onto the conveyor belt as I was watching carefully but they continue to tell us that someone took it and made it seem like it was our fault? Then when I asked the sunwing employee what the process was, she was completely useless, blatantly ignored my questions and then started a screaming match with me when I demanded to know what was going on. No one appreciates being ignored. When you're working for a company, you should know how to handle situations like this and not treat the customers like they are garbage. Later during the day, I called the baggage airline and apparently my missing baggage report wasn't even filed.... I am so, so * with this airline I don't even want to fly back with them. I cannot explain my disappointment.... I had everything in that bag and I am not even told what happened to it except that it's a HUGE possibility that someone decided to leave with 6 extra bags of luggage.

I travelled with Sunwing on direct flight from Montego Bay, Jamaica to Calgary, Alberta. Upon arriving in Alberta my golf bag did not show up. It had roughly five thousand dollars of personal items in it. That was December 25th, 2012 and it is now August 1, 2013 with no reply to any of my efforts to retrieve any of these losses. If you must travel with them, do NOT bring anything valuable, they as a company represent thievery and terrible customer service. I have never beed so frustrated by their lack of concern or communication. THEY DESERVE 0 STARS.

Well after reading the bad reviews of this resort, I should have listened. Just returned fr om a trip on March 30th with my son. This is the "Worst" resort, dirty, pool never cleaned. Our bed was never changed. I marked a 1 on the top right hand corner to see and my son was in the room and said the maid sweeps the sand off and pulls the sheets up. The main pool was never cleaned the entire 7 days and smelled like urine. Someone said they have 2 double beds? wh ere because we were supposed to get that and instead my son slept on a box spring, ya you heard me, the box spring with no mattress and we were diamond club. Guaranteed 4 A La Carte's no way, it was overbooked so we got two only. no clean towels, no water and no beach towels. Food in buffet was terrible, bacon not cooked, hamburger is actually pork burger, hotdogs are mystery meat, and so on. Spoke to a woman who has gone to many resorts in Cuba, she said this is the worst one she has ever seen, go to one that has 400 rooms or less. Memories Varadero, you will have many many more complaints for people that booked the resort for March 22nd week. Sunwing over booked with you and your hotel experience was terrible. Because you were selfish you ruined the vacation for not only myself and my son, but many others.

Really?!?!?!? You can't figure this out? Really?!?! My god man, it's not hard. If there is not an alternate airport due to weather that the aircraft can reach then they will have to stop for fuel in order to fuel up to use an alternate airport that is within their range. How is the weather ANY airlines fault? If they have to stop then it is what it is...you ARE getting a direct flight, as no one is getting on or off the aircraft. The airlines call it a "tech stop", and it is what it is. If the weather does not co operate then you will have to stop for fuel. It does not matter it is WestJet, Air Canada, Air Transat....they all require fuel to fly and must respect the laws governing what airports they can use as a legal alternate if they can not land at their original destination. ALL of you on here need to seriously EDUCATE yourselves before bashing ANY airline on forums like this. It just makes you look and sound ridiculous and uneducated. Guest : Sick of this pathetic airline, last November leaving huatulco on a direct flight to Vancouver, we were told as we boarded that we were now going to Calgary for fuel, as they were fuelling the plane???? WTF??? Must get a discount in Alberta ? Nice direct flight, landed 3 hours late, had to book off work due to no sleep. Now here we go again today, check in for cancun done, guess what our plane has been diverted to Windsor for fuel, another 3 hour delay, WTF? Why can't this POS airline fuel their planes to make it to their original destinations? Never, EVER again with this two bit outfit!!

Guest : Guest : Oh my god, we dealt with Juan as well, or should I say lack of seeing him. I feel for you I as well will make sure people know how this company does not take care of their customers. They are really good at helping you get you trip set up and paid for but the after customer service is totally despicable......I am still battling to get my situation resolved. If I have to go to Facebook to let people know what kind of company they are let it be. I am happy things turned out ok for you. I am 5 months pregnant and my husband and I were in Mexico last week. I started to bleed and we wanted to take a flight home ONE DAY EARLY. Juan the rep from Sunwing at our hotel (Riu Lupita in Playa Del Carmen) was NO help at all, he didn't offer us anything. Due to Sunwing and Juan from Sunwing we could have lost our child! I Will NEVER use SunWing again! And I am going to tell everyone I know to NEVER use SunWing. Out of curiosity, were there even any Sunwing flights available the day before? Most charter airlines do not run daily service so it would not matter who you were with, it would've been impossible. Do not take it out on Sunwing or ANY other charter airline/travel group for this. They are NOT a scheduled airline!

Travelled with my wife to Cuba last March. The crew was nice and the pilot friendly. It was a smooth and pleasant journey. After a return we started dealing with Sunwing about the refund of $ 40.00. Sending the first message, I got an automated reply saying that a proper answer would follow in not later than 30 DAYS! I needed to go back with a second message to correct the first attempt to correct the solution. Another automated reply and another 30 days! Today, almost three months after having requested the refund, nothing has been solved and Sunwing does not answer my phone calls, nor my emails. It is no longer about $ 40.00, it is about ignoring the basic rights of customers. Other companies have tried the same approach but it back fired. I still believe treting customers as a valauable asset will - in the long run - pay off. Sunwing failed to deliver and is a disgrace for Canada. I will definitely not stop here and take the issue further with Transport Canada, the Better Business Bureau and other relevant institutions and organisations. How about an anti-Sunwing FB page?

Worst flight I've ever taken. More than double the estimated time after stopping twice for fuel on a flight that was supposed to only be 6 hours. Insufficient food, and not even an acknowledgement email after informing them of our unhappiness with their services. We wiill never fly with Sunwing again, and advise others to avoid them at all costs

Horrible airline! It is bad enoughtthat every flight they have is delayed hours, but then top it off with the WORST service ever. I have flown all charter companies, and SUNWING is in a rock bottom league of their own. Customer service ignores you after waiting months for a reply. The owner has already fleeced thousands of people when his formewr Canada 3000 conveniently went under during the most profitable march break period a few years ago. I am sure he will wait until he has enough tickets sold here too and do the same, BEWARE. He is also more interested in his seedy little jazz club business with his wife where he is an AWFUL singer!!! Check it out it is funny and will make you actually feel sorry for him. This airline is a disaster waiting to happen, their aircraft are all 40 year old junk from the czech republic , even the signs inside are only in english and czech. The pilots also are imported on work permits, they barely speak english, and land the plane like it is on fire.

We as a group of 29 traveled from calgary to cancun on April 17-May 1. The group package was * . They told us 20% discount at the spa, the spa wouldn't do more than 15%. On the flight down there it was a mess we were told there was a place to put my wedding dress, true but it was just an over-head compartment jammed in with 5 other brides dresses. We were at the front of the plane and no one helped us get our dresses to get off the plane but some young boy sitting close to them. *Thanks sunwing* We were supposed to get free flights for the size of our group. Didn't know this until we were already there so it didnt happen either. As a bride I would say stay away, this place is huge, there is nothing special about your day. In the two weeks we were there probably close to 20 wedding. We were promised a cocktail patry (private) and dinner it was a fight, we got drinks off the bus, they said that was our cocktail party..and the dinner I gave up fighting for. Oh and the princess gift was a set of white towels. We got a free room upgrade because we were the bride and groom, and also one for the group package, only difference for our room and everyone elses was a jet tub they wouldnt honor the second upgrade. The honeymoon package for our second week was neat on the three days out of the week they remembered to do it. I could keep going on but I think you catch the drift. Brides be warned!

There are inexpensive flights and then there is just plain cheap service Sunwing optimizes the latter. The 9 hour delay and herding of people from one end of an airline to another for no rational reason is embodiment of lack of concern for customers. They are a 'one time try it and never go back' business. Get the new ones as they know repeats will never occur. Customer relations responded to my complaint 4 MONTHS after I filed it with them. I think that says it all. Never even heard of them prior to this last minute flight decision. Clearly research should have been done, there are enough complaints online to tell the story.

We had a flight to Cancun, March 3rd departing at 10:30am. Checked the site the evening before and it was on schedule. Arrived at the airport in plenty of time and were informed the flight was delayed till 5pm,, we actually got in the air at 7:30 pm. A delay of 9 HOURS. Needless to say the whole day was wasted. We did book Elite Plus to get extra legroom but stay away from the 1st row, the tables are in the armrests which make the seat large enough for a child, we could hardly move. Make sure to check the weight of your carry on in Mexico, you only have 5kg, which is not very much. The service on both flights were good although when the carts are in the aisle forget about getting up, the planes are just too small.

Sunwing advertised it ONLY as 18+ upon checking the actual hotel site out a few days before leaving we discovered that it was actually geared as a 'Pleasure' resort for alternative relationship couples. SUNWINGS site said NOTHING about couples etc. The rep Samanatha was beligerent and accused me of being racist when I explained we wanted to switch resorts. The resort itself was poorly run, dirty rooms, and mediocre service. The sunwing reps on site while friendly, said they had no ability to help us whatso ever. No response from sunwing except a form email saying it should have been handled by the reps at the hotel. The flights both ways the attendants were quite rude, especially the flight from Cancun to Saskatoon, then to top it off we get to saskatoon and they tell us we are picking up a plane full of passengers that were supposed to land in Regina but they couldn't land so they flew over to saskatoon because they didn't want to pay the staff overtime waiting to land!!!! We then were an hour and a half late because we had to BACK TRACK to Regina. Still have not heard from SUNWING..anyone have the presidents email?

Really??? What did you expect??? A four star experience at a one star price? People, stop complaining!!! This is laughable. Next you'll be complaining about the fact that 49% of the money that you are giving them is not even going towards our canadian economy I suppose (as the Sunwing group is owned by the British- German conglomerate TUI)? Just think about the fact that you'll soon be flown down south by german pilots in british planes with irish flight attendants attending to your needs! Over and out! This guy must be a real nutcase! i hear ya...read my article below your article 03 April 2013 Guest : Horrible I rate this airline a 0 out of 5 the plane almost forgot to pick us up so we had to wait in the airport another hour then they filled it up with too much fuel so it started to leak then when we were suppose to get off the plane first in Regina we didn't we went to Saskatoon because they didn't want to pay the workers overtime.So when we got there they let the people from Saskatoon get off first rather then the ones who have to switch planes one of the workers had attitude that I did not like.

First time I leave Canada to Cuba since 22 years, Book flight 2* March till * april, waited at the airport sunwing employees open, I was prolly number 10 on line, book seat role 8* and 8* me and my wife, sitting at the airport waiting... i heard my name and wife name been called by sunwing attendant, i walked there she told me they change seats to roll 32* !!!!! Last seat at the plane... they didnt tell us why, who, when, or reason why our seats been changed! Nothing i only got (WE DONT KNOW WHY) at the sky, waiting at the washroom door ...line up.... my turn now.... left the wash room and other person went in and other, suddenly been approached by the flight attended and she told me : SIR YOU WAS SMOKING!!!!! I said I dont smoke, and never did in my life... She insist I smoked....I said I dont smoke...... She left and came back after 3 minutes...she said SIR yes you smoked and where you hide your cigarettes, where did you drop the butt is!!!! I said I dont smoke my wife dont smoke either i have allergies from smoking... A passenger beside us said he do smoke prolly his clothes smell smoke or so.... she insisted I smoke, detector didnt go off nothing on top we had to open my wife purse, my jacket search, my cam bag ,,,no smoke..... Im preparing DR report plus BLOOD TEST to attach to my LAWYER! I have been insulted and accused Smoking in front of 200 passenger Faulty accusation! Now time for LAW SUIT IF THEY DONT call me back and deal with this issue thanx all for reading

Never ever fly sunwing. We recently went to Florida for 2 weeks. Sunwing lost my luggage. We called the airport for 3 days with no answer. No sunwing agent returned our phone call. We finally got help from an air Canada agent. Apparently the luggage never made it on the flight. After many days and hours wasted, we were told the luggage would be sent to Florida 1 week later. The luggage finally arrived at the Orlando airport. No phone call from sunwing. We called them all day to have the luggage delivered with no luck. We finally went to the Orlando airport to find out they lost it again. After 1 hour of searching for the luggage, an air Canada agent realized the transport company took it by error. We ended up picking up the luggage from the transport company at a seven eleven. Crazy crazy crazy. We never got reimbursed for the money spent on clothing we had to purchase. No apologies. No customer service. The worst airline ever.

We just returned from a week at Veradero Beach in Cuba and have vowed never to travel Sunwing again. Wish we had read all of the negative complaints prior to booking the trip. Flight 326 out of Windsor was delayed twice which caused a loss of 11 hours. We were only notified of the 1 delay while many, many passengers received no notification at all. Our flight was to depart at 3:30 pm but instead left at 2:00 am. There many excuses provided including: fog in Cuba, a snow storm in north eastern Ontario, mechanical problems etc. It was 7 am before we arrived at Sandals which was fabulous. Requiring sleep most people lost the whole first day. The maddening part is no apology was ever issued to passengers. For the return flight 5 days later we discovered upon arrival at Veradero Airport that there was again a delay. Our plane had developed a fuel leak. A discourteous Funwing representative vowed to get back to us in 1 1/2 hours. Three hours later we were told that flight 327 to Windsor was cancelled. The staff were rude with several passengers including a woman who complained about the lack of information from the airline. She was told that we were lucky that Sunwing hadn't boarded the plane and then kept us in the * . Sunwing did put us up for the night, that is until 1:00 am, at a five star resort at Veradero Beach. The unfortunate thing is that our long looked forward to vacation was ruined by this disgraceful airline. NEVER AGAIN.

It's very interesting these negative comments. You all fly with Sunwing as they are cheaper than the other airlines and then complain about the lack of customer service or delays. Really??? What did you expect??? A four star experience at a one star price? People, stop complaining!!! This is laughable. Next you'll be complaining about the fact that 49% of the money that you are giving them is not even going towards our canadian economy I suppose (as the Sunwing group is owned by the British- German conglomerate TUI)? Just think about the fact that you'll soon be flown down south by german pilots in british planes with irish flight attendants attending to your needs! Over and out!

My family and I took our vacation to Puerta Vallerta, Mexico the week of March 6 to 13, 2013.It was our first time flying Sunwing. Since it was a direct flight from Fort McMurray Alberta to PV, Mexico we thought it would be better than having to make stops. We made sure to book the Elite Plus services as we wanted to make our family holiday extra special. The flight down was not to bad but we were very disappointed with the plane. Even though we paid extra to have seats in the very front off the plane it did not seem to be much difference between the front elite plus seats and seats in the back of the plane. Also the aisle between the seats is very narrow. Everytime someone walked past me they kept hitting me on the arm and sometimes on the back off my head. The crew were doing the same, when they needed to get something from the overhead compartment, which was above my seat, they had to almost lean into me in order to reach. I was not thrilled when I turn my head and found myself looking into their crotch area. I tried to lean away from the aisle but the seats are very narrow that if I did lean in I was pushing against the person seated next to me. Also as many people decided to use the front bathroom, there was a steady stream off people standing in the aisle waiting to get to the bathroom causing even more discomfort for anyone sitting in the aisle seats. When the flight attendence started to serve drinks,or meals the cart they used kept smacking into my armrest. Our flight back was even worse, I understand that knowing the computers were down when we started our trip back from PV, Mexico, I was surprised to find that it did not matter that we had elite plus seating, when it came to checking in to get to our flight there were at least 30 to 40 people ahead of us who were seated in the back of the plane, which in my opinion was not right since we did pay extra. I was not thrilled when I turn my head and found myself looking into their crotch area. Finally after being really delayed getting back to Fort McMurray, we had to stay on the plane for over 30 minutes while the people from Grand Praire were to get off the plane first. We were supposed to be back in Fort McMurray around 11 pm. We did not get off the plane until almost 1 am. Considering what we paid for our vacation, I seriously do not think I will ever fly Sunwing again. Even though it will cost alot more to either fly to Edmonton or drive there, I would prefer to do that rather than go through all the discomfort I went through. This was our first trip with sunwing and it started 5 hours late( clear skies) and then with work on our agenda the next day our return trip was cancelled to be flown out the next day( 500.00 lost cause we didn't make it to work) so we are not impressed with sunwing.And after talking to others,it seems to be the trend with sunwing.....so buyers beware.

Fly via Sunwig to Jamaica Feb 14/13 flight WG730. I had just come from my Mom's funeral and did not remember to remove my jewellery frm my carry-on. I accidentially had grabbed my old carry-on and Sunwing personnel said I had to check it in (it was too large). Long story short - arrived in Jamaica and my jewellery was gone - well except for 2 pairs of earrrings. I knwo it occured in Toronto by Sunwing baggage personnel - as we did not lose sight of our baggage in Jamaica....well we did for just a few minutes, but my luggage was in the middle of the container. So the next day Feb 15/13 I issued a claim to Sunwing via email. Feb 16/13 I issue a police report via email. Feb 17/13 send another email to Sunwing. I sent them regiatered mail with all information Feb 27/13 (although they already had all the info). I have left them numerous messages and emails. No response. Very saddened.....this is just terrible service.

we were delayed 10 hours on Jan 12 from Montreal going to Puerto Vallarta. we were group of 17 ( kids and elderly)going there for our wedding. The reason was not mechanical or weather...the pilot did not show up. This is due to negotiations that are not going well between Sunwing and the pilots. we felt being taken hostage in something we had nothing to do with...We had to argue to get 25$ for food and when we returned and mafde a formal complaint Sunwing said they had given 75$ voucher for travel to everyone in our group, We never received this 75$ and will never fly sunwing again so what's the point anyway. To that sunwing person that keeps saying they are the cheapest..your not Can jet is way cheaper and you have to give vouchers to ensure people fly again with this company.

I will never fly with Sunwing again. We left Halifax for Santa Maria, Cuba on Feb 24 on a direct flight. When we arrived, myself and 2 other passengers on the plane realized our luggage did not arrive. I spent the entire week at the resort with no luggage. I E mailed Sun Wing fr om the resort, with no reply. The rep at the hotel did provide 50 pesos per day for each day the luggage was not there, however there was a very small selection of clothing in the resort gift shop that I could buy. Each day there was a different story: the bag was still in Halifax, then they said they did not know wh ere the bag was, then it may arrive on a flight from Toronro or Montreal, then it may come on another flight from Halifax. By the end of the week, they told me that some bags were located in Veradaro and were being sent by cab, However, the next day I was told my bag was not one of them. I returned home March 3. The flight home was delayed 4 hours with no explanation or notification until we had gone through security at the Santa Maria airport. I filed a report at the Halifax airport. 1 of the other passengers did receive her luggage mid week, however the other 2 of us went the entire week without our luggage. My suitcase was then located in Toronto and was returned 2 days after I arrived home, sent by Fed X to my house. My suitcase zippers were torn off, the bag is stained all over. Several items were stolen out the bag. I have tried several times to call Sunwing since, and only get redirected to other phone numbers, and busy signals. What company in this day and age has a busy signal?? Long story short, I will never fly with this airline again. They are horrible.

Ok...let's get started...we were to depart ottawa at 6am.....low and behold you used the plane to porter a group to cuba whom was already a day lost of their trip, to take our plane and delay us until 4:15 pm. You give a 30 voucher that covered no alchol which we were not told...then to boot you give a 75.00 credit towards our next flight...most certainly not enough each passenger on that flight is out 180.00 dollars, and why because you and your flight crews don't care as long as you made your money all is fair in your eyes....This is my second encounter with sunwing...may I ask...why book so many flights if you can't warrent the proper time of arrival. On my plane we were all heading to Jamaica....so with that each of us likey paid 1200-1500 dollars multiply that by 200 ppl that makes 240,000 plus for you...if you want to be a reputable company like west jet...then you need to beef up your planes and staff....and the * food you serve. I am asking for my 180.00 loss from you and I do not care what the fine print says....FYI on that day you would not believe the people who said they will never fly with you again....so it may look like you will lose all your passengers forever if you keep up the great work your doing...NOT. I will most certainly give another chance but you need to compensate people for your errors not ours

I took my family,my son and two grandsons to Cancun vis Sunwing Airlines and paid 40.00 each to upgrade our seats on the return flight.The seats were in row 1&2 and were like sitting in a box so you couldn t even lift the arms to have more room and you couldn t even streach out your legs and were not big people.I wrote the airline 2 letters,one the day after I arrived home on Nov.6th.and another one a month later and to this day I have not heard a word from them.So people beware as it is a money grab,don t book them.We had more room in the reg.seats.I do a lot of traveling and I will not use Sunwings again and will talk anyone else to do the same.

On a flight yesterday from the Dominican 2729 were seated in the middle of the plane kids screaming all around!! Is there no way that they can be put at the back of the plane near the washrooms for diaper changes etc. and the whole family together so they can stay put. It was one of the longest flights home in 8 years!!!!!

My apologies : previous review. Sunwing / Signature Vacations, not Sunwing/Sunquest. --- Sunwing/Signature is what I meant to say and they are the same tour operators basically as explained by my Travel Agent. They are currently (2012 Dec) reviewing their preferred status with this terrible, disgraceful airline. My previous DO NOT FLY with Sunwing still staunchly stands! Avoid at all costs.

NEVER, EVER choose to fly this "airline" unless it's a life and death situation and you have NO OTHER FLIGHT OPTIONS. Sunwing/Sunquest vacations have zero regard for passenger satisfaction and complaint resolution, and their track record desperately needs to be examined by Transport Canada because flight after flight after reader's common experiences is a complete and utter nightmare. Avoid at any cost.
