Guest : But then this is your responsibility to find my luggage at any cost. 48hours have passed- if delhi team is saying that Abu dhabi has emailed them that it never arrived at abu dhabi then its only JFK left to be followed up. I have relied on your airline and paid good anount for this travel. Why the follow ups are through email- call the jfk team urgently and ask them where they misplaces it. Please sort this anyhow as all my stuff is in my bag and I will Not buy everything again for the days you are following up- I need to sort this asap. EY 100 4th oct and EY 218 5th oct. my 2 big bags with all my important stuff have not reached and delhi staff is replying that we only talk via emails with overseas etihad team. I can still not log in to my Etihad Guest Account No 100037602405, I have tried at least 35-40 times to log into my account in the last 9 months , I don't understand what is the issue and why it is not being looked into despite my repeated reminders and phone calls to the India call centre of Etihad , I don't receive any password change link also on my email, nor can I log in with my old password , what is this?? I think the online appointed staff of Etihad Guest Relations is not capable to rectify this problem?? Please respond urgently otherwise I will lose/get expired my 25934 miles if I don't use them by logging into my account ?? The Etihad Guest call centre in India could also not help me in this regard, please give urgent reply & solution/support from your side otherwise i will lose/get expired my 25934 precious miles without any fault of mine. M M Govender : Baggage Claim Ref: 647127 I flew fr om Thailand - Bangkok to South Africa - OR Tambo Johannesburg on the 25 June 2018 via Abu Dhabi. I was on flights EY 407 and EY 604 to Johannesburg on the 25 June 2018. I arrived in Johannesburg and took a connecting flight to Durban. Due to my late arrival home, I only unpacked my luggage the following morning, 26 June 2018. I discovered that my suitcase was badly damaged. I immediately tried contacting Etihad Airways in South Africa but could not reach anyone. I then went online, wh ere I sent a complaint regarding my damaged suitcase. I have since submitted all the necessary documents and claim forms that Etihad Airways requested of me. The consultant at the baggage claims department seems to be changing the goalposts every time and now requires a picture of the suitcase with the tag that was placed at Bangkok. I did inform her that the tag was removed at Johannesburg in order for my suitcase to be checked onto my connecting flight but have provided a baggage check in reference number. One of the documents required was my boarding pass and the tag number which had to be submitted in order to trace and process my claim which I have submitted. Its nearly 2 months that I have been trying to resolve this issue. Etihad Airways seems to be unethical in its approach to resolve my damaged baggage claim. Please can somebody assist as I am not getting any joy from junior officials at Etihad Airways baggage department. Sameen Deo : Dear Etihad Management, This is to bring to your prompt attention that an expensive watch has been stolen from the checked in baggage from your airlines. When i received the baggage, the zip lock was completely broken and the chain of my baggage was also damaged. On checking, I found out that my expensive watch along with its handler case was completely removed and an empty case was just kept in the baggage. My flight details are as below: Aug 14, 2018 Etihad Airways EY0223 AirBus IndustrieA320-100/200 Delhi to Abu Dhabi 21:15 to 23:35 Aug 15 2018 Etihad Airways EY004 Boeing 777-300Er 2:40 to 7:00 Abu Dhabi to Munich I am lodging a complaint using this mail. Guest : The worst experience I have ever had with any airline was with Etihad Airways. I will NEVER EVER travel with this airline again. This airline is doomed anyway because of the business decisions taken by its management and their attitude is making it easier for it to go downwards. The carry-on luggage that was allowed by the staff in Abu Dhabi, the SAME carry-on was NOT allowed by the staff at Toronto on the return journey because according to them it was over-sized because the wheels did not fit in their measuring frame. How the hell the same carry-on fit in the same frame from AUH to YYZ. Imagine the pain and frustration these people caused us. We had to return the whole carry-on with the people that came to drop us off. Talking to the supervisor was like talking to a brick wall. Extremely inconsiderate and unprofessional attitude. Sunny_1190 : On 10.27, we traveled from BLR, India to ORD, US with 3 checked bags. While it is normal to have some wear and tear to the luggage, I was surprised to find that the whole extending handle was broken/ripped off, on 1 of my suitcases - that too, a sturdy Samsonite hard top suitcase. I did not even get the handle in the belt to retrieve and try to fix it. As a result, I am unable to drag the bag by it's wheels, essentially, rendering it useless! Attaching a couple of pictures. I've tried reaching the +773.377.1547 number repeatedly and left VMs. Nobody has answered the calls nor returned my call. Plus the window is too short to call. I am afraid, I will run out of some time. I am so tired of following up on my case of broken suitcase, as a result of an Etihad flight, back from a vacation. I only got 1 initial acknowledgement - nothing after that. I've frequently reminded/followed up on Facebook as well. I promptly get a response within 24 hours that someone will contact me - but nothing happens after that. It's been over 6 months now that it seems rather meaningless, but I cannot give up because it's a matter of principle. I am amazed at how Etihad has handled this whole case. From my most favorite airline in Sep 2017, Etihad is now on the bottom of my list. No customer service whatsoever! On our recent trip from Spain, KLM misplaced all 3 of our checked bags, which were delivered within 24 hours of our arrival. They have not only apologized but also compensated us for the issue. I made a phone call on Feb to the number given , not even a phone call from them, I made a claim onlinee. I received an email and that was the last time to hear from Etihad. Denzil Rajaratnam : Hi, My wife recently travelled on Ethiad - her name is Trixie Rajaratnam . She flew from London Heathrow on the 21st of last month and was entitled to 30kg allowance on the main luggage. Having enjoyed the flight, she called me yesterday from Sri Lanka to say that when she checked in, she was told only 23kg is allowed. She not only had to pay excess but had to leave number of items behind. She bought the ticket in January this year and all along we were told by the agent that the allowance is 30kg.
