Syahirah : Hi. I travelled from London Heathrow to Kuala Lumpur with a connecting flight in Abu Dhabi on 5th January and arrived on 6th January. My baggage cover is missing and there was a damage and broken at the bottom of my suitcase. I issued this matter in Kuala Lumpur Airport and received was this number KULEY30697. I filled the form on the baggage claim etihad website and what else should I do? Should I just wait? I need to buy a new luggage ASAP. Hi Syahirah, if you have already filed your claim online, please wait until the Baggage Team gets in touch with you. If you need to buy a new luggage, I would suggest keeping the receipt and sending it to the Baggage Team, however I am not sure if they will be able to reimburse you the whole amount of the new bag. *Sky

Guest : I travelled with Etihad Airways on Oct 26 2019, from Chicago ORD to Kochi COK, via AbuDhabi AUH. I didnt receive my bags when I reached Kochi. After 3 days, I received my first bad. After 2 more days, I received my 2nd bag. But I was missing my laptop and few other valuables from the second bag. I have had a very bad experience with this. I have been in the US for the past 19 years and have travelled multiple times. But I have never had such a bad baggage experience. I have filed a claim with Etihad, as my laptop is really expensive. My file claim number is COKEY11503. Could someone please let me know what the update is on the claim? Guest : EtihadHelp : Guest : EtihadHelp : Guest : EtihadHelp : Guest : hello, i have submitted a claim for damaged luggage, within the 7 days required for a damaged music instrument which i have had to pay for its repair and still waiting to hear back from Etihad. It has now been over 1 month since i submitted the claim and i have not received any more information about when my claim will be processed. meanwhile I have had to pay for the repair with my credit card and I need this reimbursed. i have sent 3 emails to baggeclaims to follow up and i get no replies at all. it is ridiculous to have to resort to a message board for this, I find it most unprofessional. This is my claim number RQID:739181 maybe someone will respond? Hello Siu, thanks for getting in touch with us. I can see that your case is currently under review with our baggage claims team. Cases can take up to 21 working days to close, depending on the length of investigation. Please be assured that the team will be in touch with you as soon as they can. Thanks for your patience. *Nic Hello Nic, it has been 6 weeks since our flight, 5 since I submitted our claim, so I think we have gone beyond the 21 working day timeline? Furthermore, it would be helpful if I got a reply saying what the timelines are and if the "investigation" takes longer than that, for me to get notifications/updates? I find it not helpful for me to send emails asking for updates and not to get any acknowledgement or response. At least i get a response on this platform. Siu I can see that your case was created 24 September. 21 working days will finish by the end of this week. If you haven't had a response by then, you can let us know and we will follow up for you. *Isi Hi, we arrived on the 7th of September, i contacted the Etihad customer service about this case on the 9th September and I submitted the full claim on the 14th September - within 7 days of arrival. Today I got an email saying my claim has been refused because I did not meet the 7 day timeline? I got this reply 37 days after submitting my claim. This is beyond ridiculous. I can see that the latest email is assigned to the case officer, who will double check on that again. Please continue liaising with the officer directly, as she is in a better position to advise you on the Baggage Claim. *Sky I would much prefer to liaise directly with the officer as I do not like public forums like this. But if: (1) after sending 5 emails requesting more information without a response. (2) responding to the email that contradicted itself (saying my claim has been refused on the basis that I did not submit the claim within 7 days when the dates it gave clearly showed I had met Etihad's 7 day rule) not getting a response. what do you suggest? This forum has been my last resort to get help and to show the formal process set up by Etihad is not working for my claim. Please check your latest emails, and get back to the case officer with all the requested details. *Sky

Hi there, if you have successfully submitted a claim online, our Baggage Team will be in touch with you as soon as they can. If you wish, you can drop us a Facebook private message with your email address, to check the status of your case. *Sky Guest : I recently traveled with Etihad, from Ahmedabad - Rome - Ahmedabad with my child and had checked-in her stroller. During my travel to Rome one of the wheels was damaged and during the return trip the back support was broken. I have reported both the incidents and waiting for the response on this. To top it of, Ahmedabad baggage claims while reporting the damage didn't provide PIR num at the airport and asked me to submit a claim online. Its about a week and haven't heard from the baggage claim on this even after followup. Also, no reference number has been provided for the new damage claim submitted.

Hi, I am still waiting to hear from Etihad about my claim. Can you please let me know what is happening. Thanks. Claim ref: 692271 EtihadHelp : Guest : Hi, I was on a flight from Adelaide to Manchester via Sydney and Abu Dhabi. Upon arriving in Manchester my luggage didn't turn up. I reported it missing and it was eventually found in Sydney and turned up in Manchester 4 days later! (Bag missing report number: MANEY25719) In the meantime, I had to buy some essentials and clothes whilst waiting for my luggage to be delivered. I emailed Etihad about reclaiming the money that I have had to spend on essentials whilst waiting for my luggage to arrive, and also for compensation for the stress caused and time taken to track my luggage. I am still waiting for a reply! Therefore, could you please provide me with the curtesy of a reply and riembursement of my costs. I have kept receipts and happy to forward copies. Thanks! Hi there, I understand that you have your baggage back already and that you are now looking for a reimbursement of the items purchased as well as for a compensation. Is that correct? In this case please send us the case number that you received when you have sent the query to baggageclaims@etihad.ae so that we can follow up with our team/ Thank you. *Marc
