EY206 AUH-BOM-CCU 05JUL2016 This is day-4. My 2 baggage pieces never arrived. Logged PIR at BOM airport. Still no trace of baggage. Abu Dhabi 24hr baggage service numbers are NOT being picked up anymore. Bombay baggage service agents are doing their best to lose all customers - either they do not pick or even if they accidentally do you can hear them hanging up the phone immediately. Not surprising, but frustrating none the less. How hard cant it be to track baggage all with tags and bar codes and load them on the right flight? My baggage has medications for the elderly. It is unbelievable that an airline, primarily operating in the Gulf area, is giving excuses of increased passenger traffic during Ramadan. Etihad - PLEASE reach out to me and actively track baggage and respond to us directly so I can securely send you the details of my baggage instead of general comments like "we intend to locate and deliver baggage by the next 24-72 hrs" which seems like a moving target. Thank you!

The local team in Sydney was the worst, they hardly answer the phone, the team in Abu Dhabi was a little bit more helpful by giving some information to continue checking. Then when no bags were found, we submitted the claim and the baggage claims team does not answer email. No reply whether the claim has been processed, or its current status. I wonder how can an airline treating their clients in this way get all the international prizes and appreciation... It has been all this period and no compensation was offered even... I left the city at about 12:00 to get to the airport and checked in around 3:30 pm. No issue at check in. Anyhow i went to transfer helpdesk and Etihad team mate arranged a flight to bombay at 2pm , post reaching bombay there was no baggage loaded. I was very excited to purchase Etihad Airways ticket , but my experience has turned out very poorly. I'm writing to express my dissatisfaction with Service. I contacted Etihad Call Centre for tracing my baggage and from last 6 days same record is being played and keeping the calls on hold for an hour, if you can't do it just arrange an air ticket to abu dhabi so that i myself can carry those stuff. Filed the PIR, got the contact details but no updates. Sent mails 2-3 times to baggageclaimsiad@etihad.ae and baggageclaims@etihad.ae but no reply from either of them. Anyone hardly picks up the phone and when they do, they don't have any clue regarding my baggage. Don't know what to do now.

Thank you *Sky Guest : i was travelling from Calicut to Manchester on 30-06-2016. But when i reached Manchester we have been waiting for a long time for the luggage with our baby. but the luggage has not yet came. when the luggage delivery completed we went to the baggage delivery office and complained about the 5 baggage's out of 6 is not received. they told they found that it is not yet send to Manchester from Abu Dhabi and it will reach to Manchester tomorrow morning and i will be probably receiving the baggage by next day evening. But by next day i have received 3 baggage's in one courier delivery and when i asked about the other bags they told they don't know and they are in rush. But 1 hour later one another person delivered the next bag. Still another one is missing.When we called up the number(04-07-2016) given at the airport they told they are mishandled more than 300 baggage's and it will take more than 2 days to trace the baggage. But 0n 07-07-2016 i got an call from Ethihad airways saying that the baggage handling team(Not from Ethihad directly) send a mail to me asking some identification about the bag. I told them i have already informed them it is a black American Tourister suit case with number lock. but they told me to reply with some items inside the bag so that they can identify the bag. I told them i have not revived any mail, if i receive the mail i can send the photo of the baggage and the number code i locked with it so it is easy to find the luggage. But they told they need the color of at least one dress by replay to mail. But i have not recived any mail. When i called up the number given at the airport they told they have not yet traced the baggage and in their record they know it is a black -American tourister suit case and when i told them about the call and they told about a mail, they informed me i can give the information over phone, when i told them i have got costly designer ladies churidar in it, with mens formals and casual wares with color, they told anything other than dresses. As i told 1 to 2 items they need more list. I told i need to check it. I really suspect this company is trying to find what is inside the bag and need to value it and pay peanuts for me instead of bothering to find my baggage. It is now 8 days and they feel it silly to find my valuable baggage. I have used so many airline services and this is a strange experience for me .I never missed any luggage. I am not checking in my valuable baggage for peanuts compensation. I am not expecting this kind of service from a service called as best. Looking forward to find my luggage instead of any more .Or i am looking to forward this issue to UK Civil Aviation Authority. I have already communicated to so many, already traveled with Ethihad they all face d similar problem , but they revived the baggage within 4 days unhappy, so we are taking this issue to higher level if i don't have any reply, other than finding my baggage. Looking forward a world class service from you!!!. I cant tolerate any kind of mis management and if you think it is just one baggage and you dont think so much about this i will ensure that this will be discussed in public and how irresponsible your company is in it and will put the feed back together to the next level. Neil : Flew fr om London Heathrow to Brisbane (connecting flights Abu Dhabi/Sydney) and I believe along AbuDhabi -> Sydney (EY 454) it was here wh ere my baggage was lost. I filed a report at the Sydney airport however received no reference number as I was in a rush. I have my baggage receipt, but apart from this have had no contact via the email given on the report. Is there a specific (Australian) contact number I can call to chase this up? Dont expect local assistance. They do not answer phone, they do not reply messages. Good luck

I would like to share my grievance where I expect you to take immediate action. On 03rd Jul, I took the flight fr om Rome to Mumbai via Abu-Dhabi. (Rome to Abu-Dhabi was Alitalia at 11.20 AM) Everthing went well till I board the flight from Abu-Dhabi to Mumbai (EY212 on 04th Jul 03:20 AM), I didnt receive my baggages the experience post that has been horrible. I filed for PIR thru the help of Etihad ground staff wh ere baggage tag are as follows Baggage tag information Bag1: 055 AZ 277433 PARMAR/DARSHIKAMOHAN FCO 03JUL Y B01 /0020 Bag2: 055 AZ 277434 SOLANKI/JATINPRAVIN FCO 03JUL Y B01/0018 Flight details ROME to ABU DHABI - AZ0852 03JUL ABU DHABI to MUMBAI - EY0212 04JUL We have been chasing your call - center for past 4 days and there is no update of the bag barring that the bags have reached Mumbai on 05th Jul. I failed to understand why it is taking so much time to deliver the bag when it has reached almost 72 hours+ at Mumbai Airport. Now, Call center has no answer, ground staff says that the bags are given to the vendor, Vendor has no information of the bag. I am completely lost and mentally disturbed by chasing all your staff. Also one more thing I would like to bring on table the ground staff number is just not reachable most of the times and they keep hanging the phone (Lady named Prachi) I have mailed to feedback@etihad.ae, socialmedia@etihad.ae, baggageclaims@etihad.ae & mhb@etihad.ae but there is ZERO response from the team. I arrived from germany -> Abu Dhabi-> chennai in ethiad today(8/7/16) my baggage dint arrive ... so I raised PIR report . Now when I tried calling the PIR office chennai customer care no one is picking the call.. It's day 6 today and my luggage still has not arrived as promised. I flew from Singapore to Edinburgh via Abu Dhabi and arrived on 3rd July 2016 only to be informed my luggage had not made it on the flight from Abu Dhabi. Flight number EY27, baggage tag number: 4607 EY086851. Etihad promised to call with a reference number on 3rd July but noone has contacted me since. I have tried contacting the Call centre on numerous occasions and noone has picked up the line. Could someone from the airline pls help with my missing luggage?

Hi, I have travelled fr om Johannesburg to Bangalore via Abu Dhabi and Ahmedabad on 01/07/2016. 2 pieces of baggage's were checked in with the numbers 0607EY726989 & 0607EY726988. It is a week now and the bags are not delivered. The phone calls, e-mail requests are not even cared and no response. There is customer care contact numbers which either doesn't connect or no one responds. The news is 5000 bags are in a mess. If it is true, admit, communicate to customers. Wh ere are you running without answering the customer voice? Shame on your operations which has costed us more than the expectation. Atleast please let us know when you will deliver our bags and the waiting period. Hope I will at least response at this venue.

Outbound flight date from London will be 12 July 2016 and return from Clombo will be 03 September 2016. Taqi : Taqi : Traveling from AUH to KUL on 1 July 2016. It have been about 4 days and there is no update regarding my missing luggage. Extremely dissapointed. You guys spoil my holiday. On flight from Kuwait to Abu Dhabi EY310 on June 28 2016, I've left my I Phone 6 S Plus on seat # 17 E. I told Etihad staff on the buss from the plane to the airport when we arrived at AUH, and they said that they will bring it to the transit center and I have to go to my connection flight to Chicago. since then no contact from Etihad, no Phone, and place to file claim anywhere. This is my first and last time to use this Airways and I don't recommend it to anybody. Rate of service 0 out of 100.

I arrived in Bangkok on Monday evening on flight EY408. My big (32 kg) Samsonite bag filled with my cellphone, clothes, gifts for my children who are living in Thailand failed to arrive with me. I accept that bag displacements happen. What I struggle to accept is that after the “bagging services” document was completed and I was given a reference (BKKEY42715) at the Etihad counter I have had not feedback any from Etihad. I phoned the numbers given (66021342214 and cellphone 660850460561) but these numbers are either out of service or they just ring or are referred to a full mailbox. I only got some assistance (actually none at all as there has been no help from them either) from the Thailand Etihad call centre who could not help me and told me they would come back to me but up to now nobody has contacted us. It has now been 3 days and I am re-wearing the few items I had in my hand luggage and the perishable items packed that has probably rotted and still there has been no help or any feedback from Etihad and this is truly shameful. Sent following mails but no replied Mail 3 Please answered I am completely tired and frustrated by calling. At least thousand times called after coming to india. First time I booked in this airline. I was not aware such kind of service etihad provide. Mail 2 My baggage missing and etihad person gave file reference no which is not giving any information.I am very disappointed service provided by etihad. After calling at least 100 times some one pickup and tell today your baggage will deliver. But nobody deliver. I came india for one week and could not complete any work just waiting for my baggage. I know nobody answer this mail. Now I have to return. Detail of baggage Mail 1 Dear Eithad Customer care My baggage has not arrived while coming to india from Kuwait. Eitihad representative promised me it will deliver in one day and gave two telephone numbers for enquiry. I called at least 50 times in both mobile numbers but some time nobody answer and sometime get switch off message. Please check status of baggage and reply asap as I don’t have anything wear. I am very disappointed with this kind of service provided by eithad airways as this carrier claims 7th best raking in all over the world. I flew with you as a Gold Card holder from Abu Dhabi to Manchester EY 21 3 July 2016. On arrival my 'Priority Baggage' was missing. My PIR File ref is MANEY21048. This was supposed to be a business trip for me and I have still not got my bag as at 6th Jul 17:40. Today I purchased clothes to get me through what is left of my business trip, which I depart back to Abu Dhabi from London Heathrow on the EY20 Fri 8 July. I wonder if you will actually get my bag and clothing to me before I get back home to Abu Dhabi. You have ruined my business trip and made me now seriously want to change airlines for me, my family and all my related business employees and associates. Get my bag to me now please. Allan Dawson

This is regarding my previous posts. I had travelled from NYC to Mumbai on tkt no 6077700604744-4 on 1st July . My 3 checked in luggage was not received on arrival . Today I hve received all the three bags intact . Though I went thru lot of physical and mental agony due to all the delays n delays n not getting the baggage . Still I would say luv for Etihad is remains intact . Thank you

Dear Etihad, I had traveled from Los Angeles to Abu Dhabi by EY 176 with a connecting @ Abu Dhabi to Chennai EY 268 by business class on 4th of July we had cancelled our booking with other airlines just to gain the experience of Etihad, but this experience has turned sour for us as none of our luggage turned up at the Chennai. We had filed a PIR immediately but the agent has not mentioned the PIR number in our complaint so we are unable to track the baggage through your website. Also no one is answering our calls at the customer service number @ Chennai that was given to us. We had made this journey from USA to attend a wedding on the 6th in India but due to the loss of our baggage the entire function has become gloomy for us. We are highly doubtful if we will ever make a suggestion to our peers that the Etihad experience is worth enjoying.

Ramprasad : Hi, I traveled fr om Chennai (MAA) to Edinburgh (EDI) yesterday. It has been 24 hours since I arrived and 7 of our checked in baggage has still not arrived. The tracker website is displaying 'TRACING CONTINUES. PLEASE CHECK BACK LATER'. I need to atleast know if the baggage is not arriving today and when it will arrive and wh ere is it at present. There is no answer at the number provided in the contact section. EDIEY12087 is my PIR Dear Etihad , can you please provide clarity on the status of the baggage. Until , few hours ago, the status of the bags was Delivery process initiated . I got a call yesterday that my bags will be delivered yesterday, but still no clue of its whereabouts. Now, when I check , I get a message as to 'Access to your file is no longer available. Please contact your airline for more information ' This is very much concerning.

I am still waiting to hear o this... I am surprised how inefficiently an airline can work...!! SARABJEET SALUJA : Well, this has to do with the irresponsibility in actions and follow ups by one of the famed airlines: Eithaad Airlines.. I traveled to Athens from Mumbai in Eithaad airways (booking reference no. EY ISLERP) in business class for leisure trip. On my return from Athens (EY 90) to Mumbai on 8th June via Abu Dhabi, I get to know that 3 of my bags (tag numbers EY 500927, EY 500916 &.EY 500935) go missing and not arrived at Mumbai airport. On contacting Mumbai airport authorities, I was assured that the same will be arriving in the next flight from Abu Dhabi or latest by the next day. I was asked to complete missing baggage formalities and was generated the File ref no.BOM9W88239. Since then, after innumerous follow ups and calls, I have managed to receive only 2 bags on12th June at my residential address and there is still no information about my 3rd bag (EY 500935). I have contacted Jet airways customer care too, as it was code share flight but the checked in baggage was still untraceable. Nor do I see any genuine efforts of hope to get my bag back. I am highly disappointed, and fail to understand the fact, how such an act of negligence is appreciated at such a famed name, and I wonder, if this is the way a frequent business class traveller is entertained, I do not want to think, how other classes would be taken care of? And I am surprised, if all the three bags were checked in together, how could they maange to get two of them and not the third one, when all of them were together. Why do I have to * my time and efforts in follow ups with Etihad and Jet Airways when it is Airlines responsibility to trace and get the baggage back to the customer. After paying such huge prices for the business class tickets I never expected this kind of services from the so called Airlines Etihad and Jet Airways. Is this the way business class traveler and privileged member is treated? I have been traveling to various countries over the years and have never come across such situations ever. This is absolutely unprofessional approach and this has compelled me not to choose or recommend Etihad Airways again in future. I would not hesitate to post this in any public forums or social media so that people are aware of such happenings and this is how the so called reputed Airlines Etihad and Jet Airways function. My bag had my important stuffs, that I cannot afford to loose, and would rather want my baggage back. I am not interested in Airline's compensation which will in noway be able to match the costs of the baggage and the contents that is lost, and the time and energy that I have to put in for all this to sort.

Dear APPALING Etihad Airways, The fact that it is a busy Eid season does not make any * difference to your customer. You are supposed to manage these peak volumes, that's what planning is for. You run a global airlines and not a start-up fast food joint where you cannot predict volume of travel and plan manpower/resources accordingly. Anyway, I don't think any of this bad customer experience is making any difference to your WORLD CLASS airlines. The least you could do is stop paying so much money to Nicole Kidman (your brand ambassador) and start investing back in your baggage services!! My wife travelled on your esteemed airlines from USA to Mumbai with a horrendous stop over at Abu Dhabi. Flight No. EY 206 (Abu Dhabi to Mumbai), reached Mumbai on 3rd July morning. She did not get one of her checked in bags. She filed a report with your "non existent" personnel at the Mumbai airport. She did not get any PIR number (only has the baggage tag number) so there is no way we can track the bag in your system. It has been 4 days and obviously there has been absolutely ZERO communication from your end. Have mailed/called/FB messenger every possible number available on your websites but no luck. For heaven's sake, can someone respond back???????

Evelyn Laurito : It has been 5 days since I arrive in Vienna to attend a meeting at UNIDO and my luggage has not arrived since. The meeting ends today and so frustrating that native costumes which I newly bought for this special meeting is nowhere. My daily medications are there. I have reported the loss and daily emailed, checked online tracking, checked hotel, went back to airport to check and still no luggage. We'll be happy to check this for you *Gill MTA : Worst airline I have ever experienced. Lost my baggage while transit from Abu Dhabi on 3rd july. Fraud airlines sold my ticket to someone else on high price and giving me excuse of overbooking. After 8 hours of arguments they provided me ticket from Abu Dhabi to Delhi. At Delhi airport on 4 july I could not get my luggage. No never not at all ever Etihad. I request everyone please better to go by walk but never believ Etihad. Etihad never cares about passengers planning and scedule. They can easily sell your confirm ticket to others on high price. I filed PIR at Delhi airport got this number 9871337112 for further update of missing baggage. Calling this number since two days but either number is busy or no body pick the call.
