Guest : Delayed luggage on etihad flight from abu dhabi to Melbourne. Filed the PIR immediately at the Melbourne airport. It's been 7 days no answer about my delayed baggage and no compensation despite several email. Very pathetic service and so stressful as they keep their customers waiting and waiting Did you get your bag back eventually? My luggage has been delayed on that same route 5 days ago. I am waiting on a confirmation email to be sent confirming my refund, I was told multiple times Etihad will send through an email. I have been ringing almost every day and who says they have sent an internal email requesting for my confirmation email to be sent and who says Etihad don't send out confirmation emails. Mind you I was originally told in April my refund had been approved only to wait 35 days ring up Etihad and was told it hadn't been approved. I am sick of calling up and being told different things after being lied to so many times!

Flew from Kuala Lumpur to Heathrow with a 4 hours layover in Abu Dhabi. Etihad lost my luggage, it's been 2 days no update from the airline at all. Filed my report and the online system just says it is still tracing, spoke to their useless customer service that just asked me to check the status at the website again. Now reading all these comments starting to get worried I'm never seeing my luggage again. Never flying Etihad again.

Ever since I had been fighting to get reimbursement but to no avail. The airline offered me USD 50 as compensation which I agreed as a last resort. Now they have started to send me automatic reply every time I share my bank details stating to provide IBAN number of my account which I already have 4 times but to no avail. The airline is falling so low. Unimaginable attitude to linger on such a petty claim. What a shame. Seriously. Kumar : Etihad Airways keeps you in suspense up to the last minute about your bid to upgrade to business class. And by that time you also have lost the chance to select a preferred seat as they may all be taken. Payment for preferred seat is not refundable so if your bid to upgrade is accepted you lose the amount paid for preferred seats. This is really frustrating. Is there a solution? Dont worry about it. If cannot do the verified to fly online and get the boarding passes you can always do it in the counters at the airport. The ask you to show them the documentation and they will issue the boarding passes for you. I was worried like you in my first flight and it was only took a bit of extra time at the airport, but nothing major. I was traveling from Cairo to Mumbai via Abu Dhabi on the 29th of March, 2022. Etihad airways lost two of my bags- instead I received a strangers bags with my name tag on it. I have been trying to contact Etihad on all the customer service numbers available online, neither are they answering nor have they updated the tracking on my situation. This is ridiculous. It has already been two days and I need my luggage. How do I contact the airline?

Useless FB process in my opinion worst airlines ever with rude staff, missing or stolen bags, worst communication and no one there really cares To track a missing bag after 20 days they asked me to complete online FB form not sure how they are related but anyway and after completing it they kindly said they will get back to me in 28 days. God bless them

Etihad closed their missing luggage call center due to Covid with no alternative. Again, they do not care it is miracle that covid impacted the missing baggage claim center but not any of their sales lines or app. Covid is selective!

filed a delayed/ missing baggage file on 3rd of March 2022 and till date despite of several attempts to follow up I did not receive any update from Etihad not even one call or email advising the status or next steps. It is horrible experience very time consuming and pure * of time and energy with zero customer respect or caring. Would you please advise what is next? What is the status? I do believe that this is 100% due to Etihad employee mistake and not accident. Etihad staff is fully responsible for losing this bag by placing the tag to a wrong bag. Etihad closed their missing luggage call center due to Covid with no alternative. Again, they do not care it is miracle that covid impacted the missing baggage claim center but not any of their sales lines or app. Covid is selective! Etihad do not care I connected with Etihad social media team who were very unfriendly and advised to complete an online FB form on the Etihad website. In 2022 the FB form can not be filled via mobile or ipad (as per the social media team) !! screenshots available upon request. As a customer I do not understand how to follow up on a claim by filling FB form?!! How to get update on a system case by filling online form? Seems that Etihad do not understand the difference between FB and getting updates on open case or claim. FB forms customers complete to share good or bad experience (food was nice, chair not comfortable) how it can be used to get update on missing bag Pure * of time I tried the online tracking site (a friend told me about it ) and after 16 days it is blank. Not even single update there. I completed contact airlines twice and did not receive any FB I tried to call Etihad call center general twice. Once on 17 March the agent Tooke my ref number, last name, checked online and told me that he sent a follow up and someone will contact me within 48 hours but of course it did not happen. Again, on 21 March call lasted for 59 minutes and it was very awkward as the agent was trying to tell me he does not know with whom I can follow up and there is nothing he can do to help and he does not know whom should I contact to follow up with! Which is logically very strange Pure * of time It will not kill you or make your profit less if you show customers some respect with at least on single email with ref number or email to let them know that you are working on it, expected time frame, what is next. While you make sure the booking experience is flowless everything from there goes down. What a shame !. My suffering started at the airport when I found out that I got a bag which is not mine and my bag was missing an Etihad help employee Tooke me to the officer who sent us to the Etihad departure counter for some reason (20 minutes walking and going one floor up). The employee there was vey rude shouting to everyone and asked me to complete a form when I asked her for a pen she said I do not have go find one then after insisting she gave me a broken pen which looks like she collected from garbage. Then she asked me to wait for some one to take me back to the security officer after waiting I had to go back again all the way. I told the Etihad help man who was taking me back to the officer that I just landed and will not be able to walk all this long distance again and if there is a car or something we can take he said now. then were able to go inside to meet another Etihad unfriendly rude employee to drop the wrong bag and the form. Then I was taken to another counter to look for my bag and . I end up leaving airport at 11 PM . your team was very unfriendly, not caring and unhelpful and till now I do not understand why I went all the way to the departure customer care counter to collect a paper and drop at the arrival missing luggage counter!

Hey, Im writing on the behalf of my Dad, He fly with Etihad on Monday 21 of February, But unfortunately he didnt get his 1 Bag(luggage) He filled a complaint form on the airport that 1 Bag is missing. Now its been a 5th day but still when i searched for Baggages delayed the result showing Tracing is continue..The Etihad authorities should take serious note on such irresponsible service. Can anyone could guide what to do next, How much time they will take to recover the luggage..?

It is really very deplorable and shocking that it has been 6 days after my arrival and I have not received any communication from Etihad about my lost baggage It seems that Etihad do not have any responsibility for passenger luggage. This is not the first time this has happened to me of lost luggage. As a business class passenger, I could expect at least a communication from Etihad, but it seems that it is the passengers' duty to find the luggage I think It's time we start a forum to discuss the deplorable service that Etihad is providing to passengers. I have tried to call the local office for assistance that is even not reachable, no one picks up the phone. If this is the level of service that we get, why will passengers advocate to tell others to fly Etihad? I opened a feedback case. There also was no response except for the receipt of the case. It take 28 days to get back to the passenger about the complaint IT'S SHOCKING IT DEPLORABLE I am sorry that I travelled with Etihad and have to go through such pain. I am sure there are others who are having similar issue

Hi, We flew from JFK to Hyderabad on Jan 4th 2022. Had horrible experience with luggage check-in. None of the employees are trained properly of the check-in process, they let us wait for almost one hour at the luggage check in counter since the employee was struggling with what to do and doing so many mistakes. They printed a wrong luggage sticker at the airport and now our luggage didn't arrive yet, It's been four days already. I think Its a regular thing for them. I never recommend flying Etihad. NEVER!!!

Hello, I will be soon travelling to Thailand with my 1-year old baby. Since 16 December, Thailand has eased the requirements for babies, so from this date on, children under 6 are no longer required to have a pre-arrival PCR test, they will have saliva test after landing. This information is not updated at Etihad webpage, so now I do not know whether my baby also has to take the pre-arrival PCR test or no. Anyone here who travelled with a baby to advise?

I travelled from Mumbai to Madrid via Abu Dhabi on 11-12-21. Both my checked in baggages didnt come to Madrid. Today i received only one bag from the Ground Force guys. With delivery of only one baggage my tracking access is now closed. Sent a mail to Etihad baggage dept. No response. Any help?

Any update on current mandatory vaccination departing from Canada? Canada is saying they will allow non vaccinated people to fly until November 30th as long as they can show negative RTPCR test. Dont know why I received email from ethiad saying its from October 30th.

Hello Etihad, could you please advise. I am a dual citizen of Russia and Australia, plan to travel from Australia to Russia soon. My Australian passport is valid and my Russian passport is expired. I cannot reach Russian Embassy due to current Covid19 restrictions. Will you allow me to board? With the expired Russian passport, I still can enter Russia, but will be fined. Thank you!

Fatima : Hi, My bag arrived torn. I did the papers in the airport and filled the claim online 3 times. No answer and no one cared to call. Even there is no way to check the status of the case. My friend came using Emirates and her bag was damaged, she left the airport with a new one!!! My advice is to please use Emirates. They care more.

Neslie : Hi. My flight ey535 auh to bey yesterday august 15 2021. Reacher beirut and unfortunately without knowing the reason my luggage did not came. Reported. And they told they will update within 24 hrs. If bag came. I need to go and pick it up?? Really. Now i got call that it reached aiport so i need t to there tom. Back and forth to pick my lost luggae which is not my fault.can i file a formal complaint and appeal for the expenses i made. Clothes. Basic necessities. They dont give anything or assist at least the basics. So ill get my luggage tuesday. But im staying here for5 days only. They don't care to help and give you fake info. They really do nothing. My family now and I travel only Emirates because of the lost trust in Etihad. And they wonder why they loose!!!

Hi. My flight ey535 auh to bey yesterday august 15 2021. Reacher beirut and unfortunately without knowing the reason my luggage did not came. Reported. And they told they will update within 24 hrs. If bag came. I need to go and pick it up?? Really. Now i got call that it reached aiport so i need t to there tom. Back and forth to pick my lost luggae which is not my fault.can i file a formal complaint and appeal for the expenses i made. Clothes. Basic necessities. They dont give anything or assist at least the basics. So ill get my luggage tuesday. But im staying here for5 days only.

Hello, My flight was cancelled on April 2020, till now I didn't get my money or the miles. The fun part is that every time I call someone says they will call you back. Guess what, till now no one called back.

Hi, My bag arrived torn. I did the papers in the airport and filled the claim online 3 times. No answer and no one cared to call. Even there is no way to check the status of the case. My friend came using Emirates and her bag was damaged, she left the airport with a new one!!!

Hey i am travelling from ottawa, canada via toronto via abu dhabi. I have taken air Canada in Ottawa, the connecting flight is etihad. When i am taking boarding passes of my next flights in toronto, the 3rd baggage was not showing on etihad system, will i be able to get the baggage? Or is it stopped anywhere?!

Hello Etihad Help and& Team, You should be ashamed of your work since it been months and still no response and promised words.All are gone * . False statements that going to credit to account and later sending a check to US Address. Nothing. Now completely shut off the correspondence. Dear Etihad, I traveled FRom Sydney to Erevan on 14/03/2020 and checked my luggage til the final destination, however the luggage has not arrived. When i called the airport i was told that the Baggage was taken out in Moscow airport and registered as unclaimed. Now it is registered to be sent to Armenia, Yerevan, but i was given no further information. Etihad office in Erevan is now closed due to state emergency and I can not contact anyone to see what is going on. I have essentials and my medications in the luggage. Moscow airport is not answering the calls and there is no progress in the file when i check through world tracer. Baggage claim number is EVNS719227 Regards, Artur
