Etihad J Class - Likely to miss connection in AUH Hi all, On our return BKK - AUH - DUB in Jan 2024, Etihad have changed our schedule which is now a 90min layover in AUH (we chose the short layover, the alternative is a 28h layover). As we know, if we voluntarily chose the 28h layover, it's on us to hang out in the airport / lounge (well, that's the case with Turkish). Now, from experience, it's likely we may miss this connection. We have absolutely no issue with this... it's a weekend, we're not in a rush back home and we'd embrace it, to be honest. (As it is, we now have an extra day in BKK which is welcomed). In reality, we are J class (cash, not miles / points), if we miss this 90min layover and now have a 28h layover, what will Etihad offer us? We're not ambulance chasers... we're not after $$$, but want to ensure we'll be taken care of with a hotel in AUH (even in the airport is fine) and a nice meal. We just don't want to be stuck in a busy lounge for 28 hours! Hello Etihad left my baggage in Tel Aviv then told me it would get it the next day. Still no baggage and they can’t even tell me if they have it or lost it. And their 24/7 baggage support closes at 6pm. With bags electronically tracked how can they not know where it is??

My baggage was delayed my full holiday as result of labeling error.I I was 13 days on holiday with nothing.the etihad was not able to located my baggage. On return flight a lady on Heathrow Airport was able to located my baggage in abu Dhabi and it took another 6 days to return it back to me.The compensation from etihad was offer to me 120 dollars.I found this unbelievable, they delay my Baggage (labelingberror of etihad staff) and offer me less then 10dollas a day,are they expected me to walk there naked? I am waiting on a confirmation email to be sent confirming my refund, I was told multiple times Etihad will send through an email. I have been ringing almost every day and who says they have sent an internal email requesting for my confirmation email to be sent and who says Etihad don't send out confirmation emails. Mind you I was originally told in April my refund had been approved only to wait 35 days ring up Etihad and was told it hadn't been approved. Flew from Kuala Lumpur to Heathrow with a 4 hours layover in Abu Dhabi. Etihad lost my luggage, it's been 2 days no update from the airline at all. Filed my report and the online system just says it is still tracing, spoke to their useless customer service that just asked me to check the status at the website again. Now reading all these comments starting to get worried I'm never seeing my luggage again. Never flying Etihad again.

Don’t worry about it. If cannot do the verified to fly online and get the boarding passes you can always do it in the counters at the airport. The ask you to show them the documentation and they will issue the boarding passes for you. You can go to etihad website and you will find lost luggage and select the airport of origin ,it will show to you the number of the relevant team

Seems that Etihad do not understand the difference between FB and getting updates on open case or claim. FB forms customers complete to share good or bad experience (food was nice, chair not comfortable) how it can be used to get update on missing bag Pure * of time I tried the online tracking site (a friend told me about it ) and after 16 days it is blank. Not even single update there. I completed contact airlines twice and did not receive any FB I tried to call Etihad call center general twice. Once on 17 March the agent Tooke my ref number, last name, checked online and told me that he sent a follow up and someone will contact me within 48 hours but of course it did not happen. Again, on 21 March call lasted for 59 minutes and it was very awkward as the agent was trying to tell me he does not know with whom I can follow up and there is nothing he can do to help and he does not know whom should I contact to follow up with! Which is logically very strange Pure * of time It will not kill you or make your profit less if you show customers some respect with at least on single email with ref number or email to let them know that you are working on it, expected time frame, what is next. While you make sure the booking experience is flowless everything from there goes down. What a shame !. My suffering started at the airport when I found out that I got a bag which is not mine and my bag was missing an Etihad help employee Tooke me to the officer who sent us to the Etihad departure counter for some reason (20 minutes walking and going one floor up). The employee there was vey rude shouting to everyone and asked me to complete a form when I asked her for a pen she said I do not have go find one then after insisting she gave me a broken pen which looks like she collected from garbage. Then she asked me to wait for some one to take me back to the security officer after waiting I had to go back again all the way. I told the Etihad help man who was taking me back to the officer that I just landed and will not be able to walk all this long distance again and if there is a car or something we can take he said now. then were able to go inside to meet another Etihad unfriendly rude employee to drop the wrong bag and the form. Then I was taken to another counter to look for my bag and . I end up leaving airport at 11 PM . your team was very unfriendly, not caring and unhelpful and till now I do not understand why I went all the way to the departure customer care counter to collect a paper and drop at the arrival missing luggage counter!

Hey, I’m writing on the behalf of my Dad, He fly with Etihad on Monday 21 of February, But unfortunately he didn’t get his 1 Bag(luggage) He filled a complaint form on the airport that 1 Bag is missing. Hi, We flew from JFK to Hyderabad on Jan 4th 2022. Had horrible experience with luggage check-in. None of the employees are trained properly of the check-in process, they let us wait for almost one hour at the luggage check in counter since the employee was struggling with what to do and doing so many mistakes. They printed a wrong luggage sticker at the airport and now our luggage didn't arrive yet, It's been four days already. I think Its a regular thing for them. I never recommend flying Etihad. NEVER!!!

Hello, I travelled to Dublin from Ahmedabad via Abudhabi through Etihad on 18 th December. My one luggage bag is missing and haven't been found yet. I have contacted the airline every day since then but always got the same answer - we are tressing. what should I do? I have also emailed Etihad for missing baggage but still no response.can you please help me to locate my luggage.

Hello, I will be soon travelling to Thailand with my 1-year old baby. Since 16 December, Thailand has eased the requirements for babies, so from this date on, children under 6 are no longer required to have a pre-arrival PCR test, they will have saliva test after landing. This information is not updated at Etihad webpage, so now I do not know whether my baby also has to take the pre-arrival PCR test or no. Anyone here who travelled with a baby to advise?

Kids ICA approval came through but I still cant get them registered on Al Hosn app. My ICA approval hasn't come at all (applied on Friday). Is this delay normal from ICA? I travelled from Mumbai to Madrid via Abu Dhabi on 11-12-21. Both my checked in baggages didn’t come to Madrid. Today i received only one bag from the Ground Force guys. With delivery of only one baggage my tracking access is now closed. Sent a mail to Etihad baggage dept. No response. Any help?
ReplyMy husband lost his smaller baggage last night on his flight from Manila to Dhaka. He was only able to retrieve the smaller baggage. We already informed the airlines but haven't heard from them.
I have not received my baggage yet that was supposed to be delivered today
