NEVER Again! Flew out of South Bend IN, 3/14/2014. Flight was over an hour late departing. Passengers were furious when told the seats they paid extra for to have extra leg room, didn't even exist on this aircraft. None of the seat assignments matched. This was alll because they put us on an OLD Falcon Air plane, that obviously wasn't prepared for a flight. We were told "Sorry,there won't be any beverages on this flight...if you thought you were going to enjoy a cocktail or cold soda, you are out of luck". "We will be giving everyone a complimentary bottle of water and bag of pretzels. They had cases of warm water they broke open next to our seats and passed out to everyone. The lead flight attendant was reprimanding another flight attendant right in front of us, for switching passengers seats. Our return flight fr om Fort Lauderdale to Grand Rapids was even worse. I received the first delay notice of 45 minutes when we arrived at the airport. After checking in and asking the counter attendant if there actually was a delay, because after looking up at the digital display, it showed our flight leaving on time, she informed me they just hadn't had a chance to update it. Funny...I received a text over 45 minutes prior to this. Three more text alerts after getting to the gate. Our plane left 3 hours and 50 minutes late. We were first told that the plane left late in the morning. That was odd. Our plane was sitting outside the window for hours. We were then told our pilot had car problems and would get there as soon as he could. This was the story he relayed to us, once we finally boarded. Seriously?? No other pilots?? If in fact his story was true and he broke down in Alligator Alley, quite a drive from the airport, we should not have been misled for hours. We would have enjoyed our last day in Florida "outside" of the airport. All their hidden fees, from booking at a ticket counter to get a lower fee, to using debit, instead of credit to avoid higher fees, to their 40 pound weight lim it for baggage, is ridiculous. We always enjoyed the direct flights, but this was the last time we will EVER fly Allegiant.
My flight was cancelled due to engine issues. I had a package purchased for hotel and flight. My first night hotel room was denied. Others in my party were credited. The flight was jan 3 from fargo to las vegas. I would like my account credited for 188. 28. I have talked to reps. They say they do not have managers. They said this was determined jan. 16. I was told it would take 6 weeks. This communication is not acceptable.
I would NEVER use Allegiant Air again! We booked four round trip tickets from Bellingham, WA to Palm Springs for January 2014. We also booked and prepaid a rental car in the amount of $522.00 at the same time. When we arrived at the airport in Bellingham on January 4th, Allegiant had cancelled the flight to PS due to a new regulation in the amount of hours a pilot could fly. They did not advise us in advance of this cancellation. They rescheduled the flight for the next day. They advised us that they would change the car reservation for arrival the next day. When we arrived at our hotel, we called Alamo because we wanted to be certain that the date had been changed. Since the reservation was booked by Allegiant, Alamo would not let us access the reservation. We then drove back to the Airport and asked the Allegiant agent if the date for the car had been changed. They assured us that it had been changed. When we arrived in Palm Springs, Alamo showed no reservation for us. We booked and paid for another car for the two weeks. We emailed Allegiant right away to let them know about the situation but we never heard back. I have since written them two letters explaining the situation in detail and their response to both letters is that they will NOT refund our $522.00 because we were a "no show" on for our car reservation. No matter what terms I have used to explain to them that, of course, we were a "no show" because they failed to change the car reservation, they refuse to acknowledge that they were responsible for changing the pick up date with Alamo. I honestly don't know how people who work for a major corporation can be so obtuse as to not understand the facts put in front of them. They continue, however, to refuse to refund our money. Not only do they charge for absolutely every little thing (from seat selection to issuing boarding passes) but the fare works out to be no less expensive than a major, recognized carrier out of Seattle. The other issue is that if you want to talk to them directly, it will take at least an hour on hold and they do not have a toll free number. Allegiant is not only not service oriented but they are unethical as well. I would advise against using them.
Please Please consider someone else to fly with, no doubt you will be tempted by the low fares and want to book then what you will find are ridiculous cancellation and delays without being informed and the MOST UNPROFESSIONAL UN-EMPATHETIC staff you have ever encountered. I had a flight book in January the night before my flight I did a quick check to make sure everything was OK, turns out my flight was cancelled, I received no email or call or automatic reimbursement that would have clued me sooner to the cancelled flight. I called ALLEGIANT and was told I was sent an email (I have every single email they sent me, all were for advertisements for flight deal, nothing spoke off a cancellation). I then asked where was my reimbursement, the customer service rep then talked down to me as if I should have known that ALLEGIANT DOES NOT AUTOMATICALLY REIMBURSED FOR CANCELLED FLIGHTS...had I never called I would have NEVER been reimbursed. I obviously told them I wanted my money back ASAP and was told I would have to wait 7-10 business days. I am know in the process of letting the BBB know of their practices especially not automatically reimbursing me for a canceled flight and waiting till I called to do anything about it. FRAUD!!!!!

NO CUSTOMER SERVICE. Found the phone number after a Google search, BUT when I called, it said there would be a 15 minutes wait. 20 minutes later, it still said there would be a 10 minute wait. 20 minutes later, still a 10 minute wait. That's when I gave up. Do what you have to do to fly with somebody else.
A flight from Bellingham to San Diego was cancelled. There wasn't another flight until Thursday. I was traveling for medical reasons. I had to rebook and complete my trip within 2 weeks of the cancelled flight. I wanted to schedule for two months later as I had flights scheduled for the next 2 monthly medical needs. I could reach no-one. DOT requires wheelchair assistance. Allegiance didn't provide it.
Booked tickets to St. Pete, Fl from Des Moines, IA ended up flying on Falcon Air which Allegiant had outsourced this airline. Our flight was about 3 hours late and the crew and plane was much less than satisfactory. After reading about Falcon Air they only have 7 planes with an average of 20 years...they also flew with the cock pit door open talking with the crew more than I was comfortable with. If you are thinking about this airline I would look at other options.
I will do my best to advise people throughout the USA and Canada to not fly with this crooked airline. Social media will work wonders!
I am disabled and using microphone. please excuse the poor text. I had a flight I'm telling him Washington to San Diego California February 23 2014. Severe storm conditions made it to the airport with a caregiver. legally they're supposed to provide curb to airplane assistance. I paid my caregiver to wait in line. There was no assistance. International travelers was stranded. The two counter people we're minimum wage employees who were not equippednot given the responsibility to make any decisions. There was nobody in an authority position to assist us.when the flight was cancelled and I was back home I asked to rebook for May 2014. I was told that I had to complete my travel within two weeks of the original date. I was not taking a trip for pleasure. I had 4 doctors appointment in San Diego. I have attempted to contact them and filed 2 complaint
I will join the ranks of many others who have been duped by this shoddy airline. I will do my upmost to steer anyone and everyone I personaly know to avoid flying with this gong show airline.
Flights to Mesa, AZ and Las Vegas, NV have been great-- However, if one has a family situation and has purchased insurance for the trip and then has to activate that option---GOOD LUCK. You cannot reach anyone via telephone, wait times are 40 minutes or longer with no one ever answering. E-mails are not answered. VERY disappointing. Allegiant is NOT customer friendly if problems arise, that's for sure.
The worst flight, and the most rude unprofessional employees we have ever encountered. Our flights were extremely delayed both times. We lost a lot of time on our vacation and incurred extra expenses trying to make it all work! In addition, the planes were dirty and the plumbing did not work properly in either bathroom. The flight attendants were rude and we were not able to hear the announcements. They did not react professionally when we asked them to repeat the announcement, but instead mimicked our request in an unprofessional manner. Will never fly Allegiant Air again.
I will NEVER fly Allegiant again! Is it any wonder their stcok has plummeted 8.6 percent recently? I think not...even after a reported 44 plus consecutive quarterly earnings in the balck...at customer expense and inconvenience. Top 100 ranking by Forbes for this company? Ridiculous. Mr. Gallagher, Mr. Levy, Mr. Benner, Ms. Marvin, Mr. Allard, Ms. Bricker, Mr. Sheldon and other llegiant executives must know someone on the board at Forbes. Deplorable customer service and "bait and switch" tactics, all uner the guise of "operational" problems, or so-called, and insulting, "Acts of God." This is truly a comapny going under that I will do my utmost to stay away from, and persuade others to wisely do the same.

I bought a ticket with Allegiant. I need to cancel this flight and get a voucher for future travel. As noted below, I cannot cancel online and nobody answers the phone. I guess my seat will be empty on the flight tomorrow and I will lose my money (bought their Trip Flex). Isn't this a little bit like fraud? I am going to the FAA. After reading other comments, this outfit should not be operating.

Can't get hold of anybody in their "customer service" department. It is clear that once they have your money, they will not give it back. I would not reserve a flight with them again.

Communication is VERY BAD and extra fees for every little thing is awful. Called on the phone line and a message said your wait time is more than 60 minutes. The worst in the industry I am sure. Terrible communication when it comes to flight delays or cancellations. Recent flight from Bellingham Washington to Los Angels was delayed on and off for 3 straight days before finally being cancelled. Pay the extra and flight a respectable airline with up to date planes, etc.

Shameful experience with this airline! The small savings are NOT worth the hassle! The staff is extremely rude and unhelpful. Compared to other airlines, they charge you for baggage and will charge an extra 50$ for 1 pound overweight....also, their max weight is 40 pounds, not 50 pounds. This company is going to go out of business soon, I am sure of it. When our flight was cancelled 5 minutes prior to boarding, we had called and checked status 2 hours prior and the status was ON TIME. We waited in line for 1 hour at the check-out where they had only two staff members checking in 2 full planes. We thought it was weather driven but their reason was that they did not have a flight crew. If that were the case, they surely knew hours prior to the plane arriving and being cancelled! People were travelling with their children and had returned their rental cars. They offered a 100$ voucher for hotels, but no one actually obtained one! They did not advise us to the next flight, so I waited almost 2 hours on hold on their CS line which is not a 1-800 number so was charged for the call. others weren't so lucky and had to show up at the airport at 6 am just in case they were on the 7:25 flight, which of course, they were not. On the flight out, a woman explained to me that her flight had been cancelled twice in a row on her way into Florida. On the third day, the flight was delayed 6 hours.....and part of the delay was done directly on the flight. One of the passengers lost his temper (understandably) with one of the flight attendants and they actually went back to the gate, and had the state troopers escort him off of the plane! And this, in front of his family and kids! If I were the CEO of this company, I would be completely ashamed by the treatment these customers are getting. I will never fly this airline again and honestly, I give them 1 year before they file for bankruptcy.

Customer Service for reservations sucks! I have phoned the reservations number for three days in a row, 1st (Friday) to be on hold for 50 minutes, 2 (Saturday) on hold for 1.5 hours, and today (Monday) I've been on hold for 1hr and 20 minutes! The recording tells me I have a 40 minutes wait, and it's now twice that long. Ridiculous! I need to cancel a reservation, and it is impossible to do so. The website says you can cancel a reservation with your "My Allegiant" account, and that is not possible. The website says "Live Chat" and that is not possible. Crazy that this type of customer service exists. If I didn't have to use this airline from Monterey I wouldn't.

Only rated a 1 because there is no zero or negative 10!! Worst experience I have ever had. Signed up for alerts and there were three departure changes before we even got one alert. By that time we were already at airport. Customer service was no help and could forward me to no supervisor. Nor did they know the name of the president of the company. I do have ccorporate headquarters address but the fact you can't find the president's name anywhere says he isn't too proud of the airline either! Andhe probably ddoesn't want the * letters. But he's getting one from me.
Yesterday, I waited over an hour (on-hold) to speak to an agent. Then I received a recorded message that they were "experiencing system problems" and I was abruptly disconnected. Are you kidding, after waiting over an hour, you want to call back later? Today I've tried the "live chat" option. I was the 33rd person in cue, when it got down to 3rd person, message came up that the agent had disconnected our chat! You never got to me! Talk about lousy customer service. Appears they have agents that don't want to converse with their customers via phone or chat.
Good Airline, I love that they go to off the wall airports, It's A la carte airline...without the heavy price tag.
I will never book with this airline again! First, when you try to contact the airline with a problem or question, there is no way to get a hold of someone. They say on their website to submit a request but in does not go through. Then, if you try to call, hold time is about 1/2 hour at least. But the real reason I will not book with them, is because they listed a flight for $425 but by the time we got done booking the total was over $750! Because of seat fees, and other outragious fees. It wasn't even close to the same price. Be careful! Not worth it!
We Left Medford Oregon to Los Angeles. Flight 325 on Thursday Jul 25, 2013 at 02:05pm Ok trip. When we were flying back to Medford, Oregon Flight 324 LAX to MFR time 11.35am on Aug. 11, The airline told us it would be 5pm on Aug 11, 2013 . Staying around the lobby until they changed that to 5pm and then again we were delayed until 8pm. Aug 11, 2013 we did not get on the F 20 days later. out of Los Angeles. WE were to leave at 11:00am From the airlines kept putting off the time for us to leave. they had lines of people70 at least., early that morning, with one check in lady at the baggage area. As we are waiting we were told it would be 5pm that day and waiting and waiting they gave a $8.00 voucher to each person. When we were ready to leave at 5PM another stall, we were leaving at 8pm well finally got off, It was a horrible day, when we arrived at 10:30pm at Medford, Or that night we had to get a hotel for $120.00 . My husband and I are in our 70's and very tired . We deserve a free round trip ticket for each of us. Please follow up on this. Thank you. we live 2 hour drive from our home and time we had to pay extra money to park our car at the airline. I fly allegant every month and today was horrible i was flyin from tri-cities ,tn to clearwater ,fla and durin announcement of safety info i was put down infront of all other passengers on plane because of my body size and weight and ambarrased so bad i wanted to just get off plane and take a bus it was the most horrible feelin ever especially infront of all the people on the plane.
I am trying to check in on line with my Grandaughter Malil Narramore. Because I booked her at another time as mine I called your office and she booked her under my customer number as she is 14. I cannot check her in because she is 14 and they do not recognise my name. What is the best way to approach this problem.
What a joke. I have made numerous attempts to contact customer service to make a change on my flight and I can't reach anyone. I have waited 30 min each time I called and have yet to reach anyone ! I did receive a response to my email, ony to tell me they can't help me via email and the online chat is not working. I also tried the My Allegiant service and it was not working either !!!!!!!
Allegiant Air is a HORRIBLE AIRLINE... IF customers knew what is going on in the inside they would NEVER fly this airline. A flight attendant named Esmeralda was no where to be found on the flight and we were getting ready to land. Finanally.... she was found passed out DRUNK in the back lavatory bathroom. (She's been in trouble many times for her Drinking but still allowed to fly is that a safety issue????......the FIRST priority is the SAFETY of passengers so hell yes that's a safety issue) This Flight attendant was taken off the Aircraft by paramedics from the back of the MD80 aircraft. The return flight was cancelled because they were SHORT a flight attendant to depart and the crew had to overnight at a hotel (which the crews never do ...as the flights are out and backs and Allegiant had to bring an additional Flight attendant in so the flight could fly out in the morning. Oh yea.. the stupid Fight attendant finally got fired... this was a Phx based crew.. and to TOP it all off Allegiant Air kept all this hush hush and did not disclose this to the FAA which is mandatory... Here's another one for you... in Nov of this year 2012 one of Allegiants chief pilot named Mike D... was flying the 757 and preparing to land... the first officer said "we are over weight we have to burn some fuel before we land" chief pilot ignores FO... FO again says..."we are overweight to land" chief pilot Mike D says "I Don't care" and lands the plane anyway.... AGAIN MAJOR SAFETY ISSUE for passengers... and if something went wrong the first officer would have had his career at risk...just because of an arrogant careless idiot of Mike D...this crew based in Las vegas my friends.. (again was this was not disclosed to the FAA???? NOPE it was also hushed up... There's sooooooooooooooo much more "INDSIDE" SAFETY ISSUES the public should know. Actually the FAA... ALLEGAIANT is CROOKED and the safety of the passengers is their last concerns... MY GOSH people you have no idea.....

I have been ATTEMPTING to cancel a reservation with Allegiant for over two weeks. I first tried the "Online Chat" and after their asking me for all my information, told me to call their reservation center. When I first called I was told my wait would be approximately 15 minutes. More than 45 minutes later.....I was still waiting and hung-up. The next day I tried again and was told my wait would be approx. 4 minutes. I thought I'd struck gold! After more than 30 minutes....I again hung up! This same situation presented itself 3 more times!!!!!!! I sent an e-mail to Allegiant and the reply was "our records indicate you have spoken to someone"!!! N-O-T!!!! I am so frustrated about this I could absolutely scream! Being a senior citizen with a situation that is forcing me to change my reservation......I wouldn't recommend anyone using this airline if they had any possibility of needing to change their plans. Just dreadful to deal with!!!!

It will take a little time, but I would like to begin a documentation of the many, many complaints that have been incurred by people like yourself, myself included against Allegiant. I plan on submitting a letter of protestation against Allegiant to our State Attorney General's office, as well as, contacting an investigative service offered by KIRO TV, Seattle, Washington. I completly agree with all the comments below. I have a voucher and can't use it, their "contact" system is rediculous. I just talked to a lady at corporate that now told me the phone system is being worked on and will be ready in 3 weeks...I BET!! She was very rude but what can you expect from corporate!! I booked with another airline!!
Allegiant Air is the worst ever airline. We traveled with them last week. We had booked back in November. Our 8:30 pm Thurs MFR-LAS VEGAS flight departure was postponed till the next afternoon but they didn't post the correct time on their Flight Status page - they posted 3 am! Sooo... we and dozens of others drove to the airport for a 3 am flight and got a "Sorry, the flight doesn't leave until 2 pm." We were all promised an apology voucher would appear automatically in our Allegiant account and GUESS WHAT? It didn't. Further, their reservations phone number no longer takes calls (you get an "I'm sorry due to high volume of calls we are unable to take your call..." message) - it points you to their website which directs you to call the reservations number. So there you have it. Allegiant has achieved the ultimate in poor performance. I would change planes in Anchorage rather than ever fly Allegiant again.
