I booked a Malindo flight at a Cust Service Office. They copied the name on my passport in the wrong order. I emailed them with photocopies of my passport and booking and requested a change. They refused. They said that they were the same, which they very clearly were not. After several exchanges, I gave up. Also, their manage bookings and checkin services on their website do not function. I informed them of this by email and was given a number of excuses, including that I have to register for their frequent flyer (or whatever its called) club. After numerous exchanges, I gave up. I found out from a call to cust service that the pages have been down for many months. Malindo does not have the courtesy or honesty to put a notice on the site or to admit that it is their error. They come up with all sorts of excuses, which are lies. Extremely shoddy and unethical service. Never again.
how many hours prior to departure can do a web check in for malindo air flight? also is the web check in allowed for all destination?
I will travel on Malindo air on 23/3/2016 (next week) via OD 1502. I would like to know when will i can perform the web check in (the earliest)?
This is regarding my horrible, harrowing experience with Malido Air on 7th Feb 2016 for flight OD 2202 from KLIA2 to LANGKAWI. I arrived at the KLIA 2 airport at 12:50 pm. I was refused checkin on the flight 1 hour before the flight take off by your staff NUR ELAYANA at counter Y4 on 7th Feb 2016 at 12:50 pm. She informed us that the checkin closed 3 hours before the flight time!!!! She then spoke to the flight captain apparently to check for availability and then informed us that there is no seat available. I then proceeded to book a last minute flight to Langkawi from AirAsia at exorbitant prices from the Air Asia sales counter. The AirAsia flight was paid by debit card at 1:06pm which is easily 45 minutes before the checkin closes. This clearly is proof that we arrived for the Malindo flight on time but your employee refused us boarding for reasons best known to her. The last minute flight cost us 1114 RM. After buying the new tickets when we confronted NUR ELAYANA and her manager MOHOMMED ALIF, she lied saying that we arrived at the counter at 1:20 pm!!!. If KLIA 2 has CCTV monitoring, we will have yet another proof that we arrived on time at the airport. There was also now a board put up at the Y counter mentioning the counter close time as 45 minutes. This board was not put up when we arrived earlier or we would have not believed and proceeded to get another checkin counter. Clearly NUR ELAYANA either lied about the counter close or was not informed enough to be carrying out her duties. We ended paying exorbitant prices for the flight due to the staff's annoying negligence (or racial profiling.)

We have a bad experience on our way back on Flight OD 1621. Your crew staff on ground could not issued us boarding pass saying we have not made payment. But our name is on the list. we arrived the Kuching Airport 4.30 pm on Flight 7.50pm. We have to wait until 6.30pm on released boarding pass. After an arguement with your ground staff and ticketing staff. Very bad experience and firts time on Malindo Air as we have travel all round the world on other Airline do not face such experience. Please take note in future as you need to upgrade. As we have taking yr Flight from KL to Kuching have no problem OD 1602 (7.10) on Holiday. But coming back worse experience. please take note. Hello, I bought a Mailndo Air ticket last week on-line. I was given a "booking number" and they said they will send an email upon confirming with the bank, I haven´t recived anything yet. I also wrote them an email, as it is impossible to get through the telephone; they will never pick it up. The webpage is totally useless to manage the bookings. I bought the flight ticket via online just now. However, the total amount shows in the attached receipt does not tally with the amount that I paid as they did not include the charges for seat selection. When i called to clarify from the customer service, they told me that they will only email it upon customer's request. This is super funny and ridiculous! After that, I requested Malindo airline to email the receipt of seat selection charges immediately to me on 30 Nov 2015 but nobody sends it to me till now, 3 Feb 2016. In fact, they did not reply to my request after sending several emails and talking to them through the phone few times. I strongly suggest that Malindo to email customers the receipt of the seat selection together with the E-ticket automatically and improve their customer service. Customers really don't have so much time to follow up on this little issue.

I bought a ticket with Malindo for a return trip between Singapore and Trivandrum (India) via KL and paid for 20Kg of excess luggage for the trip from Singapore to Trivandrum. All payment was done in one go using a credit card. When i went to the airport to checkin on 6th December 2015 i was informed that there is no information in their system for the excess luggage and that i will have to pay for carrying the excess luggage. I decided to drop the excess luggage with a friend since it was about S$30/KG. It has been more than one month since this happened and ever since i have been fighting for a refund of the S$140 paid for the excess luggage. I cannot understand how the excess luggage did not reflect in their system even when the ticket was ok, when all payment was done at the same time. I have been writing emails with all proof attached, calling Malindo customer care many times but all they have to say is that they have forwarded my request to the relevant department and they will revert. No one can commit to any timeline or give me contact details of someone else. It feels like i am begging them for my money when they clearly are at fault. Can somebody let me know if i can raise a compliant with some other agency against Malindo. Kindly respond if you are able to guide me or help me out.

Try to change date for my flights using the website. Fail. Try calling the call centre, no one would not pick up the phone. Have tried calling for so many times. DISAPPOINTED WITH SUCH A LOUSY SERVICE. Why bother having website and call centre. Malindo suckssss

So upset service very poor. Allowed checkin online Perth to kl then Singapore on return flight website kept throwing us out and even thou our seats showed as chosen it wouldn't check out stating go to counter. When I approached counter service staff at Singapore airport had no idea they told us you can't do web checkin you just have to wait. Will never fligh with again.

Past few days until now cant book their flight+hotel package via malindo holidays website. Booking form for credit card expiry 2016 always auto to month january. Try other credit cards with expiry beyond 2016 also not working saying credit card not accepted even after i call my banks and they inform everything is fine on their side. Malindo Air do you want to make sale or not? Working payment system is basic for online business, you should fired those making decision to award to whoever designing your online payment system..it sucks.
I purchased a ticket on 19-Nov-2015 from Malindo Air, and no receipt from them. I officially sent in a request to retrieve the receipt on 2-Dec-2015. But I couldn't get the receipt until 15-Dec-2015. Between this period, they only replied one email only. Therefore, I went to their HQ and request the receipt on 16-Dec-2015, HQ not able to generate the receipt and direct me to send the email to info@malindoair.com and the receptionist promised i will get the reply from Malindo within 24 hours. But unfortunately, I yet to receive any reply from Malindo regarding my request. I need the receipt to do the reimbursement from my company. Without the receipt I can't proved that I purchased the air ticket from Malindo. I tried to send in the incident to Malindo Air Facebook Page as well, but the provided solution is not working. I've revert to Facebook Page and no reply as well. Any other solution to retrieve the tax invoice or e-ticket?
