Exactly the same situation..Gatwick to Crete 26th Fri 21.10 Olympic Holidays - Small Planet. Got bumped off. No options given other then monarch 28th 19.55. All other cheaper flights had no seats left. We found alternative flights from Heathrow, Leeds, etc, but they were not willing to pay for more expense flights or travel costs to the airport, just £30 compensation. Any lawyers out there... what are our rights. How can we claim and from whom, ie. Olympic Holidays, Small Planet, Atol, Abta, travel insurance. Thanks in advance.

In connection with those without tickets, we are flying with them to Kos from LGW on 8th Aug, We are on a package deal with Cosmos and have been told this flight is 'ticketless' and just to take our confirmation invoice with us. Not sure whether this helps. Travelling with this lot sure takes out the pleasure of looking forward to your holiday. ....

for anyone interested that old thing they were flying from birmingham was infact the one that came off runway last year at brum,also had endless problems with the old knacker

See Trip Advisor Small Planet for info on carriers, beware some substitute planes are smaller and some people get put on other much later flights If you are asked to go to Man or Gat as your flight is cancelled, refuse and get full refund I strongly suggest you read all 594 messages! davo

Hi,we are due to fly out from Gatwick on Sunday 4th and haven't received our tickets(even though we were told we would get them 2 weeks before flight)we have been told to wait until mid week,but I also have the same concerns as you. Good evening. I'm due to fly with Small Planet from Birmingham to Zante (flight P7641) at 09:30 on Thursday 1st August, but have not yet received our tickets. When I called I was told to wait until Tuesday 30th and call again if I still had not received them. Given my concerns, I googled my flight to discover NOTHING and little else in terms of this company's flights despite appalling reviews. I have therefore researched my rights, in the unfortunate instance that I may end up in an equally distressing position, and it seems that I would be entitled to a refund if any changes were not communicated 14+ days prior to departure, and 250 Euros for 3+ hours delays given the flight is 3+ hours. 1) Does anyone have any information about my flight, please? 2) Does anyone know if I am legally able to demand an immediate refund there and then, should I be placed in a position of severe delays/shuttling me to an inconvenient airport when I have already purchased train tickets, etc? The only thing is we will be flying back with Small Plant as booked and so will expect delays. At least we will get to Crete and have 5 days of our 7 days holiday, instead of none!! Small Planet Airlines have ruined a lot of people's holiday and should be fined for the inconvenience and money they have caused people.

If Olympic change your departure airport (not including all London airports)......eg. for you from B'Ham to Gatwick. If you choose not to take that option -and you are NOT obliged to do so - you can get all your money back that you paid Olympic for your holiday. Then maybe you can book another holiday with a 'proper and professional' holiday company.

Prices of that holiday have gone up 300 pounds if we want to go within the next few weeks which we cant afford the extra i have unwanted euros which i am now going to loose money on and all they can give is 30 pounds compensation both olympic an small planet airlines need to be shut down. I wouldnt mind if i wasnt informed 12 hours before i was due to fly!!!!!! Anyone flying with them SHOULD be worried terrified in fact because the fact of the matter is they are unreliable with awful customer service and they really dont give a s*** about whether or not you paid booked months in advance and dont really understand that they have just caused you a ten ton of hassle you didnt need nor want. SO THANKS OLYMPIC AND SMALL PLANET im having a lovely time at HOME!!!!!! Quote fr om EU air passenger rights: "When passengers are denied boarding on a flight, airlines are obliged to first seek volunteers to give up their reservation in exchange for certain benefits. In addition, the air carrier must also offer volunteers the choice between a full refund and re-routing. You may be entitled to compensation of between €125 and €600 depending on the distance of the flight and the delays experienced before being re-routed. Wh ere volunteers choose re-routing, the airline must also provide assistance if necessary, for example - food, access to a telephone, hotel accomodation of one or more nights if necessary and transportation between the airport and the place of accommodation".

Just returned from Ayia Napa flying with SPA from Manchester to Larnaca. . Flight was on time and arrived in Larnaca 15 minutes early. Staff were pleasant and made the journey the best they possibly could. Just before landing they came round with sweets which was a nice gesture. On the way back was late landing by around 15 minute due to terbulance. I jokingly made a comment about being cold and the air hostess returned with blankets and pillows for us. All in all was a. Great flight.

You honestly should be worried ........... they canceled my flight 12 hours before i was due to go and offered us to travel to manchester then fly there then home to manchester- if i were you id be terrified Guest : Booked with Small Planet to Rhodes chose theses over Thompson due to the day flights offered by Small Planet reading reviews I am really worried.

More cr*p from Olympic. They have contracted with SPA, they have sold the holiday as with SPA. They should enforce their contract. You are entitled to a full refund. You need a solicitor pronto! davo

Guest : Just been advised by my tour operator this evening that my flight tomorrow to Rhodes has been downsized and I am now going to be flying to Kos then have to stay there overnight and continue to Rhodes by ferry in the morning!!!! So instead of a 5 hour journey it will now take forever! Asked to cancel was told they will refund the flights but I will be charged £773.00 cancellation as its not their fault!! Won't be using them again!! Any MAJOR change to your itinery resulting in a 12 hour difference ABTA states your ARE entitled to a FULL refund OR to be able to rebook another holiday at a similar value. They are YOUR rights. If you chose to waive those rights, you will not be entitled to any refund.

There has been no apology and when I asked to change to another airline I was told I would have to pay for myself and it would be very unlikely I would get any money back. I also asked what would happen if I cancelled because of the significant change to my holiday and a whole day wasted. The travel agent said I would lose all of my money and that would be it. I am absolutely furious! I have checked Small Planet's website this evening and there isn't even a flight from Gatwick tomorrow that is listed. I have seen Small Planet flights from other airports have been cancelled and the airports changed at the very last minute. There must be something that can be done about this. I really do not want to go on holiday now if this is going to be the start of it. Holiday company said there is a possibility a similar thing might happen on the way back! Any advice please, or anyone else experiencing the same issue?

Yea I'm flying from gatwick on weds, the whole holiday is a surprise for my boyfriends birthday so really want it to go well. I have been emailing an calling Olympic every day for updates and nothing has changed so far. But that doesn't mean anything!! thank you for making me chuckle, I was also on that flight and the staff were complaining that they were called at the 11th hour to come in and crew the plane as it was a rush job to rescue the people stranded at Gatwick so it could then rescue us. Olympic reps, I have never meet such a clueless bunch. so glad to be home. Guest : Corfu P7466 23rd July. Anyone thinking of flying with Small Planet please go and see a doctor...... You need your head examining. We were due to depart Corfu airport at 03:35 returning to Gatwick. No Plane, No Information, No Hope. We couldn't get any information of when the plane would arrive or if it had even left Gatwick. We were left stranded at Corfu airport and had to spend the night trying to sleep on the floor of the airport. The incoming flight finally arrived just after 9 am and was scheduled to depart at 9:50. At 10:15 we finally got on the plane. Once the plane was fully loaded the pilot turned off the air-conditioning and left us to bake for half an hour. The stewards said we were waiting for some documentation and advised everyone to close the blinds to keep the plane cool.... Looking out the window we could see they were still loading the plane. We finally tool off at 10:45 over 7 hours after we were due to depart.... We had no apology from the captain and after baking us in a tin can for half an hour they came round and SOLD us drinks. A 7 hour delay at any time is not good but after vacating your room at 12 Noon, traveling through the night to the airport, then being force to sleep on the floor with no information, just makes it worse. Would I fly with Small Planet again.... Not in a billion years. The best thing that could happen to Small Planet is for Olympic to sue them for breach of contract and damage to their reputation and for them to go bust. Small planet destroyed all the good memories of my holiday and left me with memories of a living hell.

Guest : Can they do that? Doesn't that constitute a major change to the holiday you booked? T&C's If you refuse the change they are supposed to refund all your money. Am watching the B'Ham - Skiathos flight today......out of interest because it was cancelled last Friday and passengers bussed to Gatwick until flying out on Saturday. We walked away from our holiday and came home! The flight at B'Ham is showing gate open at the moment. It HAS to go via Thessaloniki for refuelling......will let you know on here if.....and when it takes off from B'Ham.

From what I have heard from an Olympic rep in skiathos, grand cru/SPA are not putting the right size planes on to the routes. so at times they are having to ask travellers to move onto other flights at other destinations. my non- professional advice would be do not book your seats especially if it costs you! Anyone know if the Birmingham flight actually arrives in skiathos today? Scheduled to leave skiathos at 18:15 today but not shown on the arrivals or departures board on line at skiathos airport?!? The Birmingham flight shows its travelling via thessoniliki in Greece. Will it stay there overnight we are wondering?!?!

We have just rung Olympic holidays to verify the flight and have been told that there are no problems with departure at 9:15 on 27th July

We were meant to be on the 21.15 to Rhodes on Saturday 27th July, after reading things on here and speaking to someone I know about what they experienced we paid £479 to change to the thomson flight. When I spoke to Olympic about the problems with small planet i Was told they used to have a lot of problems which have now been resolved. I'm so pleased we coughed up and paid extra to change our flights. Olympic charged us £150 admin fees to change it!

Hello, I am flying from London Gatwick to Zakinthos on 22nd August and return 29th, and the seat map shows the plane having 33 rows!? This is not a small planet a320, or grand cru 737. Does anyone know what the plane is because need to book seats but concerned this is the wrong plane. Thanks.

Todays P7417 gatwick to skiathos flight appears to have had the flight time changed from 10:55 to 13:45.....slightly disconcerting.....add on delays and this could be a very nasty start to a holiday. Not impressed by any of this.

My travel agent has just assured me they'll be no delay as its a 5:30am flight and the plane should be at the airport already, but reading the below i'm still very nervous about this i called my travel agent also and they assured me that there wouldnt be a delay unless it was due to technical issues or unforseeable circumstances. i sincerely doubt this but i hope its right. i am flying out on weds from gatwick at 10.10.

ljust arrived back from rhodes today- flew from gatwick 17th , we were booked with small planet also, after 4 hrs + delay( no other delays noted) we were taken to rhodes on neos airlines an italian firm!!! coming back delayed again in early hours of morning and no explanation, and alba star plane( which is spanish) took us back to gatwick, no sign of small planet aircraft and no explanation! with the longest del;ay going out with neos we receivced a small bottle of water each for the whole flight no chance to even perchase food, with alba star we were offered free food and drink at least, also when we arrived at gatwick our flight number was changed i asked why she said she didnt no but it would be same number coming back, it wasnt. we also booked with olympic!!! never again
