Hi, I have also booked to fly to Malta through Travel Republic with Small Planet/Avro. I was getting quite concerned as couldn't find Small Planet flights on departure board and car parking ask for you flight number, but when I put P7363 in nobody recognises it! Hence why I've ended up at this forum checking them out! Guest : Thanks for that info. Guess I should have got up earlier to check :) Guest : Guest : We've booked to go to Malta in September flying with Small Planet, booking via the Co-op website though it actually turned out to be a Thomas Cook Flexible Trips holiday. I checked the Gatwick website on Saturday as this was the first trip out this season and was concerned to see no Small Planet flight at the time we'd booked (08.50) and the return flight from Malta has also been changed to an earlier time After getting no reply from the Avro website after emailing them I tried phoning the number on my invoice. After an hour on the phone I still was on hold. As we are travelling to London from elsewhere we need to book train tickets and a hotel for the night before the flight asap in order not to pay sky high prices. I couldn't find any Small Planet flight leaving Gatwick for Malta on Saturday. On the Avro website if I was buying flights now then the outward bound journey would be 6.00am, with the same number that's on our invoice. All I want is to have this confirmed so we can go ahead with the rest of our travel plans. I'm also worried that the shuttle bus transfer I booked both ways to connect with our flight may not accept us as passengers at a different time, even though we've paid up front. Has anyone else had this experience? Is your flight number P7363? It did fly last week (05/07/14) - took off at 06:10 and landed in Malta at 09:54. The return flight (P7364) left Malta at 11:24 and landed back at LGW at 13:13

We travelled with Newmarket Holidays/Small Planet airlines fr om Bournemouth in July 2013, We had a 10 hour delay returning from Verona. We are still trying to get compensation due under E C Regulation 261/2004. Newmarket did not want to know and referred us to Small Planet - which has ignored our complaint, and also has ignored 2 eventual letters from ENAC the Italian equivalent of our CAA. which is the body responsible as the flight departed from Italy. We complained to the European Commission,Passenger Rights... which referred us to ENAC ! We have been told that ENAC can not enforce a judgement and we may have to resort to legal action. As Small Planet is based in Poland and Lithuania this is hopeless. So much for a European Directive promising so much and useless to UK travellers if the airline is not based in UK. wh ere the Small Claiims Court can help.

If you are with Small Planet Airlines you will be in South Terminal, and should be in Zone E Guest : Thanks for the replies. They've put my mind at rest. Have since had confirmation from agent and airline company of flight changes. No airport terminal on flight vouchers, hoping it's south terminal as it's most convenient for the hotel we've booked.

Nice to see that people are writing positive reviews about their recent flights. Its not all negative. If you look at any other airline forum all airlines suffer with some sort of delays from time to time.

We have just returned from our holiday in Skiathos travelling with Small Planet. After reading the reviews, I was very worried. But I am pleased to say that we had no need to worry. Good flights, no delays, friendly staff and the plane was fine! People should write a review when they have had a good experience too.

Just got back from Greece with Olympic holidays and Small Planet airlines. Having read the reviews I have to say I was a little bit worried, but the flights were on time both ways, the aircraft was clean, the staff were helpful and polite and we had no problems at all. I have flown all over Europe with Thomas Cook, Thomson, BA, Easy Jet and others and this flight was as good as any of them. We may have been lucky with the aircraft and the crew but we had no complaints whatsoever.

Just got back from Cyprus Via Gatwick. Great Holiday! Planes were clean and leg room was fine, had worse before. All flights were on time. Aircraft looked newish on way out and way back. Staff friendly and polite. Only downside was check in at Cyprus, It was painfully slow. It takes me 3 minutes at the counter, how come some were there 30 minutes? I would not hesitate to use again. Well Done!

Departed Gatwick to gran canaria yesterday with spa .Plane was 15 mins delayed coming in. Sat on runway with many other planes for 15 mins then took off. Great flight, nice plane, no problems at all . Very happy after reading all the poor reviews didn't expect such a good trip

Ghastly experience, left on the runway for over three hours, the pilot said we could not take off due to weather, didn't seem to stop easyjet, BA or anyone else however. Spoken to what they call customer service, simply dreadful. Not our fault, instructed solicitor in their country to get refund. Plane also pushed off fr om the stand with no warning and passengers still standing/walking about. Unlike some I do travel a lot with other companies. Clearly people who have little experience may find the service acceptable, no schedule airline could get away with this. Fleet over 19 years old, I would not fly with them again, there are cheaper and better options if you know where to look.

This was our first time with small planet - the positives were that the aircraft was on time and no delays - after that it was not so good. No food, hot or cold available, just excuses. The outbound flight in particular was bad as the cabin staff cracked jokes and did not take the safety procedure seriously. The leg room was very poor and I shudder to think what would happen if the aircraft ran into problems as there was not enough space to take the brace position. On the inbound flight, again no food and served stale crisps and water - it cost £8.00 for two of us. The smell from the toilets was not very pleasant either. Whilst there was no hot or cold food for the passengers, the staff were busy during the flight cooking and eating their own hot meals. I guess there are people who are not too bothered and are happy to get a cheap flight - but come on, there are standards - would not fly with them again.

Just come back from a week in Kos and we flew with Small Planet Airlines. I was dreading it, after reading some of the reviews but of course, people only tend to post if they have had a bad experience. I can honestly say that our flight was absolutely fine from start to end, both ways. We took off on time, both times, the cabin crew were friendly, polite and helpful (different crew each time) and although the plane was a bit 'tired' looking, it was no worse than Easyjet or Ryanair. Considering the price we paid, I'd give them top marks!

Claire : My claim against SPA regarding a 6 hour delay from Chania to Manchester on the 10th September 2013 has been underway with refund.me for almost 200 days now with no real progress. I get an almost weekly "update" on their website that simply says "Claim is still pending court ruling." I'm hoping for some progress at some point soon, but every time I contact refund.me for a proper update, they simply say that I'll hear from them when they hear something themselves. I'm glad that I don't have to do the legwork with this one, but I wish it could happen faster. My claim is now at over 272 days and still zero progress towards a payout for my six hour delay last September. I think Small Planet Airlines are avoiding confronting legal action thrown at them at every single step.

Your flight staff were excellent and announcements made with just the right humour to relax even the most nervous passengers. Our pilot I felt was exceptional, his abilities and information to us were greatly appreciated. Both outward and return flights were very close to schedule and our landing at Exeter yesterday was so smooth, almost like landing on a cushion! I was most impressed. I have two photos taken from the air which I would like to send but although I tried to follow your guidelines could not, please give me a link to do so, if you would like them. I will happily recommend you to others! I Kevin Mitchell : My wife and I were travelling with Newmarket holidays to and from Verona, returning yesterday and really enjoyed our time with you. Dishonest, underhand, cheating. Hide behind their overseas address and refuse to compensate passengers with legitimate complaints. CAA powerless and toothless. SPA lied to HAA about flights, they seem to have their own rules. Avoid them at all costs.

Then how do they manage to fly in european airspace? Guest : Beware !! Newmarket holidays are now using this ' airline' from the UK. Would you travel on a Lithuanian coach company? No? Olympic rejected the claim saying exceptional circumstance. Small Planet (the carrier) failed to respond to emails for 6 months. I have had the same response. From the CAA regards to my 12 hour delay outbound and delays inbound. Small planet have failled to supply further information to my correspondences and the correspondence from the CAA and have been advised to claim through the small claims court. Eskimokiss1@hotmail.co.uk, please contact me with advice or helpful suggestions, thanks X PBS : Have now had confirmation from CAA that despite their efforts, Small Planet Airlines have refused to respond. CAA say that if the airline maintains the disruption was due to extraordinary circumstances, they must provide the CAA with information to justify this position. CAA therefore feel that in the absence of any information from the airline to justify that the flight disruption fell under this exception, the exception does not therefore apply and compensation may be due. I now propose to take the matter through the court system and will be examining other means of bringing Small Planet Airlines to justice. Beware Monarch/Avro are still using Small Planet Airlines for flights to Gran Canaria. I will not use Monarch/Avro any longer as I feel they are tainted by association with this disreputable airline carrier.

CAA sent my claim to SPA for re evaluation but SPA have since rejected the complaint on the basis of "unforeseen technical problems ". What a surprise !!. I have resubmitted my complaint to CAA and they are now reconsidering. I have also written to Stewart Wingate CEO of Gatwick Airport, as it was his management team who effectively got the matter sorted by their proactive involvement. However, Wingate does not give any useful info about what they know about the reasons/causes for the delay. It appears they are all sticking together on this issue!!!!

As far as I am concerned it is a shitty airline. I flew with them from Egypt this Jan. this year and paid extra for the seats with extra leg room, which turned out to be the front row seats with actually LESS leg room than average. There is a solid wall in the front with no seats to squeeze your legs under. Subsequently I sent them a polite e-mail with a complaint and requested a compensation which was utterly ignored. There you are: a shitty treatment from a shitty company.

Thanks "AGE. I don't intend letting them get away with it either. Have given them 14 days to formally respond and then I propose to take the matter to our courts. However, I will resubmit to CAA in the first instance. Why does it seem that in the UK we abide by EU laws but elsewhere Europeans are selective about those they choose to comply with!!!! I would be interested to know if anyone is aware of any UK office base for Small Planet Airlines.

PBS: I guess we were on the same flight! I am currently getting advice on how to proceed to an EU court on this. Not sure if it will work or not, but I don't intend to let them get away with it if possible. You will need to chivvy up SPA for their reponse and (let me guess here) they will respond with exactly the same **** as before. You will also need to go back to the CAA - I threw my toys once I read their email again as they CLOSE the complaint as they send it back to THEIR MEMBER for a decision!!! What a farce of a regulator. Weeks after I sent them a letter (noting it is impossible to email or call) and recorded delivery, I got a generic email telling me they have reopened the case. What a sorry mess.

I am also in dispute with SPA reference delayed flight to Las Palmas on 2nd June 2013: 20 hours!!. Despite Servisair giving passengers a letter to indicate that the delay was due to "crewing issues " SPA later claimed it was extraordinary circumstances. My complaint was sent to CAA in September 2013 who resubmitted it to SPA in December 2013 for re evaluation. SPA's 8weeks is just about up, but I do not hold out much hope of a successful outcome. I propose to take the matter to court on a matter of principle, but I realise others have won their court cases against SPA and still not received any compensation. Why SPA are still allowed to operate when they seem able to flout European law so easily. They need to be named and shamed in the media and I think we need someone of influence to champion our justified claims by forcing them to pay up or cease operating from UK airports. SPA are a slippery, disorganised unresponsive operator and need to be brought to account.
