Flight from kefalonia is delayed 23 hrs all Manchester flights for small planet are marked as delayed are they in trouble we are stuck in kefalonia with no info just told to go to airport and wait

So far not good. Flight delYed10 hours already due to technical problems poor information and will only get info in 10 hours. Pretty * if you are only going for a week. Some people say that 36 hour delay is common. If only I'd known before....

I've just come here after searching for the flight story at Manchester on Monday 3 august.. 37 hour delay jobbie. Just thought I'd throw it in before I read up your thread...... Olympic have always suffered last on the list pecking order at Corfu Airport, for 20 odd years now. They dont buy their fuel there, so the airport get pissy and delay the Olympic flights, always been like that and I imagine it's at all Greek airports that Olympic fly to. It's why the bigger airlines won't contract to them and they end up with firms like Small Planet to take the flak. If this has already been said, then thanks for reading.

Guest : If you are reading this post to read up on the airline before you fly Don't worry.. Just remember that more people share bad experiences more than good. And to be honest this airline is great. I fly with them every year. Especially this year they have improved 1 million percent. The crew are amazing and welcoming and they can't do enough for you. And just think would you rather be delayed a day or fly on a aircraft that has a problem and risk everything.. There is always a reason for a delay and sometimes it's to save lives. It happens to all aircrafts sometimes things fail.. Just like cars. So don't listen to all the bad comments because it is a fantastic company I fly from Manchester to Crete every year. Right you are, small planet employee/owner. No problem.

Just arrived back from Rhodes. The seat I was allocated was broken and won't stay upright. The crew did nothing about it andI had to sit for over 4 hours with a seat the moved . Regarding health and safety I couldn't remain in an upright position as instructed during landing. Felt very uncomfortable and unsafe. I will never fly with this company again.

Not a fan off small planet airlines heraklion to Manchester flight was delayed 27 hours in total we got dumped at a hotel in the middle of know where with no food or water. no one told us anything other than to be up at 9am for an update witch come to us at mid day via a note on the notice board, also that we had to check out of the hotel as the rooms we had was bucked at 12pm we then had to wait until 2pm for a transfer to another hotel. olympic holidays have realy let me down this year, after using them for the past 7 years i think i will try another company next time i go. also worth mentioning that they changed our flights from germania to small planet without bothering to let us know. all out taxis was booked and had to change them at the last minute. i will be making a complaint as its really ruined the holiday from the word go.

We are aware that any delay on the way to your dream holidays is frustrating. It is no less upsetting for us as well. However, flight safety is our top priority, and we do not operate any flight unless we are 100 percent sure it is safe. The current delay from Manchester to Heraklion happened due to technical reasons, and our engineers need special tools to eliminate the problem. As a consequence, the flight from Heraklion to Manchester is also delayed. We are looking for a replacement aircraft and trying to solve this situation as fast as possible. We will make all the efforts to minimise the impact of the delays and take care of all our passengers who are currently waiting for the flights. Thank you for your patience.

Due to fly out with SP on Friday morning but am panicking now after reading some of these posts!! Booked with OnTheBeach and only actually realised who we were flying with once I'd printed off my holiday vouchers!! Surely there must be some examples where they take off on time and arrive in one piece to give me some hope?!!

Please say who your holiday was booked with. It helps others avoid the company I booked my nightmare holiday with Olympic I will never make that mistake again I have been barred from there Facebook page since 2012 for speaking out.

If you are looking for compensation I'm afraid it will be a long time coming. Many of us on here have been waiting years put your claim in and sit back and wait eventually "I am told" they will pay out just don't hold your breath. 99 of 100 posts on here are bad reviews some real horror stories. Once you have been caught out by this outfit you will do as I do check reviews before booking flights. Sorry to tell you this a lot of holiday companies use sp and you will not know until You have paid and get your tickets. Small Planet flight numbers begins s then number.

My daughter and friends were on the flight leaving Gatwick today and was over 3 hours late leaving. I had the same problem trying to track the plane. Guest : I do not understand why Small Planet Airlines flights fail to appear on any of the flight tracker apps such as Flight Stats and Plane Finder. Does anybody know why? My son flew out to Zante from Gatwick last weekend after an 11 hour delay. He is due back this evening although his flight isn't even listed online on Zante airport departures. Fortunately it is listed on Gatwick's arrivals so I shall just have to keep checking that for the latest updates! Would certainly not choose to book with them in future.

I do not understand why Small Planet Airlines flights fail to appear on any of the flight tracker apps such as Flight Stats and Plane Finder. Does anybody know why? There are rumours that a the pilots with Small planet airlines are trainees who pay 35000 euros to complete there training before they get a job anywhere else. Read it on cockpitseeker.com This is true except the price has now increased

My daughter is STILL delayed in Palma Mallorca - flight cancelled last night - no news on current flight time - no food vouchers today as no Small Planet support staff available apparently. Apparently flight was cancelled as Pilot was 'drunk' ?? This is totally unacceptable and would like to be able to speak to someone as this is unacceptable and todays flight is also delayed - someone else drunk? Would not recommend

just read in reviews here that the pilots who get pilots licence to fly these planes are not experienced through many hours flight , how also do this company allow drunks on board? seems they do as people drunk at airport await flight, would think that it can be dangerous to the passengers and plane efficiency. not going to book.

me too,worried flight on the plane cancelled due to hole in engine is safe to travel, obviously staff wouldnt get on it if concerned, but it must have had the hole in it surely before landing, so , what if its not a safe plane and other probs? feeling unsure about boarding it tomorrow.its not got good reviews so im wishing i never booked the flight.

yesterday, arrived on time at airport, flight delayed, no info, waited hours , no info until told cabin crew cannot be found, a hole in the engine, so delayed. no numbers to complain to, ones we were given on paperwork just recorded messages. late evening, no flight, no food or drink, * passengers, police called due to unrest amongst passengers, all got moved on elsewhere, told flight would take place in morning, and transfers and hotels at destination have been informed. given a local hotel to stay in over night. on the beach travel agent, couldnt get any calls through,. had enough. hope the hole in the engine is fixed, .never ever use cheap flight again. cost more in the long run, other hidden costs incurred.

I've got a claim against Small Planet with RefundMe from 2013 too (Chania, Crete to Manchester September 2013) It seems to be going nowhere and has been open for almost 1000 days now with seemingly nothing happening. Did your claim actually get closed, or did you walk away? Guest : Hi Beth, We had a similar incident in 2013 travelling from Corfu to London Gatwick. I tried to go through my insurance but the airline failed to support evidence clarifying exactly what the supposed "technical fault" was!! It seems to be a trend. I tried going via refundme that was a dead end. I am committed to pursuing this. The airline now have a claim form on their website so I am trying to gather everything I need to try this route. 3 years later!!!

Beth : Has anyone on here been successful in compensation due to a small planet flight delay? August 2014 I had a 20 hour delay from Kos international airport to Manchester. Very poor service from beginning to end, most people were given accommodation. Myself and my boyfriend unfortunately were told they were no rooms left in any hotel so had to sleep in a hotel lobby. I wouldnt class that as accommodation. My auntie (a travel councillor) attempted to claim for us and had no luck. 2 years later and currently going through a 'no win no fee' solicitors to see if we are entitled to anything. Firstly the airline claimed we wasn't on board....after we provided our confirmation email they are now saying it was a technical fault (which you can't claim for) according to the solicitor they have 7 working days remaining to provide evidence of this. Can anyone advise anything further? or have any similar instances...both successful and unsuccessful? thanks in advance. We too are disgusted. We were at the airport thirteen and a half hours with no proper information or support yesterday. The flight was finally provided by another airline thankfully. We are now in the process of claiming compemnsation for all the inconvenience caused by our tour provider. Small Planet airlines are a shambles, dont use them!

Disgusted with this airline who totally failed to provide scheduled service from Verona to Exeter on 8 June 2016. after eleven and a half hours of delay the flight was finally provided by another airline who did a wonderful job. I will never use small planet airlines again!!!

This has got to be the most unprofessional set up I've ever flown on! We had our Thomas cook flight to Cape Verde changed to this airline from Manchester on 22nd may 16! We were promised same calibre flight as Thomas cook well if that's their calibre won't be using them either! On the flight out the one if the girls was extremely rude and apparently having "man trouble" not passengers problems! On the return flight the two stewardesses serving snacks n drinks were having a fall out with one huffing and puffing and the other slagging her off to another member of staff In front of all the passengers! One passenger told the air steward that he had short changed her n he bad mouthed her to his colleague saying "no need to make a seen" and pulled his face! Another passenger went to the back of the plane and asked for a drink of water to be told " I'm on a 10 min break" On landing as always everyone starts to try n get up before the seat belt sign is off! The air steward shouted like he was in a playground and very sarcastically " sit down sit down seat belt sign still on you'll all get off in the same time! I've never experienced staff like it and we Hav travelled the world on budget and elite airways! Never again!

hi we had a really bad experience with them and being messed about for hours into the early morning before them then deciding to put us in a hotel until the morning when we would then have to get another flight, iam currently chasing them for compensation but a friend we made when delayed she has since heard from them and got £500 i believe from them which is why i am now perusing it again. I wouldn't give up :)

Thank goodness for that we are flying to Skiathos in A few weeks and I felt like bursting in to tears reading all these complaints. Diana Porter : Having looked at this discussion before travelling to Volos via Skiathos with Small Planet, I felt like cancelling my holiday. The comments on this site are so negative. In the event our flights to Volos on 11th September 2015 and return from Volos straight back to Gatwick on 18th September were entirely delightful. The plane was a perfectly normal size and the leg room similar to that on Easy Jet or Ryan Air. The uniforms of the staff were really attractive ranging between * pink, lime green and pale orange and the headrests were similar colours. The staff were delightful, clearly enjoying themselves. The Onboard menu looked fine, though we did purchase sandwiches beforehand because of the comments on this discussion page. I was even given a second cup of tea free by the sweet smiling flight attendant. Landing and take off on the small island of Skiathos was perfect. Excellent trip.

Hello, we are going to kefalonia in June and flying with small planet from Manchester, (in a bit of a panic now reading all this bad press). However could anyone tell me if they had any problems with not having given passport details (apis) prior to checking in? Were you able to do it at the check in desk on departure day with out any problems? Thank you

Flew to Zante in Aug 15 with Small Planet from Gatwick. 7 hour delay. CAA are still fighting on my behalf for compensation. Never again!!
