P7445 left 4 hours ahead of schedule today? We fly on the same flight on 22nd but it still shows as a 1250 departure. Spa have accused it isn't them operating the flight, Olympic have said their aviation department are working on it so can't confirm ego with yet nor actual time. As we are hiring a car to take us to the airport, it's a bit of a pain not knowing.

We flew small planet Gatwick - Kefalonia on 30/6/13 never again. On arrival at check in we were told our flight was delayed 12 hours, in fact our 5.30 a.m flight took off at 19.15 p.m, a delay of 13 and 3/4 hours. At no time were we offered apologies or any explanation other than operational problems. On arrival at the departure gate we were informed that in flight refreshments would be free, well what was provided was an insult, a plastic cup of pop and a snack box of crisps and crackers valued at £3.70, with no option to buy an alternative. They must of thought they were catering for a childs party. More worrying is the safety issues, we could not understand a word of the announcements or safety demonstration due to the strong Eastern European accent.Did not feel safe due to the general dilapidation of the plane and the strange noises coming from the undercarriage whilst taxiing to the runway. The cabin was cramped dirty and rundown, on arrival at Kefalonia I stood back and looked at the general state of the plane and can understand why the tin can didn't have a company logo on it. Shame on you Olympic holidays firstly for using this company and treating loyal customers so shoddily, and also for not providing anyone a the airport for your customers to liaise prior to departure. Our complaints regarding the flight were also nor dealt with at the resort. Will not be flying Small Planet again or any tour operator that uses them

I have just returned tonight fr om a fantastic week on Santorini. Accommodation was excellent, and the staff were very friendly. The downside was the Air Charter company which was used by Olympic Holidays. I will list the issues in order of importance to me: 1. The return flight was crewed by what I assume were Eastern European nationals. The Chief Steward was a lady who spent approx' 90% of the journey sat down at the front of the plane reading her magazines. On the odd occasion when she deemed it appropriate to address the passengers and took to her feet, her accent was so strong, and her pronunciation of English so poor that it was almost impossible to understand more than the odd word. Surely where Health & Safety are concerned it is of paramount importance to have someone with a better command of the English language so that passengers can understand, particularly when the vast majority of the passengers were English nationals? 2. No attention was paid to the fact that many peoples armrests were in the "up" position when taking off and landing. In every case when I have flown with various operators in the past, the crew pay great attention to this. 3. I clearly heard a passenger speaking to someone on her 'phone as we were coming in to land at Gatwick, and making arrangements wh ere to meet up. Whilst I understand that many passengers are often tempted to use their 'phones before entering the Terminal Building, it is the responsibility of the cabin staff to ensure that wh ere this happens, the passenger is asked immediately to switch off their 'phone. Clearly in the case of "Small Planet" scant attention is paid to such matters. 4. The safety demonstration was poor, and my wife found it impossible to see the crew member from her seat position (24E), who was stood near the front of the aircraft. Normally, you would expect crew giving the safety demonstration to position themselves throughout the aircraft, rather than just standing towards the front. 5. The aircraft was dirty and littered with rubbish. Again if the crew spent more time collecting this, rather than chatting, perhaps the situation may have been different. 6. Width between the edge of my seat and the back of the chair in front was approx' 9 inches, which was totally inadequate, unless you are of a small build. 7. To add insult to injury, the airline stated there was an additional charge of £20.00 per person, per journey, for the privilege of sitting near to an exit. I have never experienced this sharp practice before. Even the low cost carriers such as Ryan Air, and EasyJet have not resorted to this! 8. The Chief Steward also had a particularly rude and unpleasant manner, and told people waiting for the toilet at the front of the plane to stand back - similar to being told to stand in line at school. 9. Passengers were still wandering around the plane long after the “Fasten Seat Belt” sign was displayed as we were on final approach to Gatwick, with the crew seemingly oblivious. Whilst as I have mentioned above our holiday was excellent, the journeys were terrible, due to what I assume is some sort of cost cutting measure, and using a sub-standard air charter company. I feel that health and safety should be of paramount importance, and the crew of Small Planet appear to have little regard for this, presumably because of lack of leadership from the female Chief Steward mentioned above. If I were to score the holiday and the flight the results would be as follows: a) Holiday 95% (only because the room air conditioning was not working correctly on arrival) b) Flight 20% because the overall quality of the flight was extremely poor. 20% only given because we landed in one piece.

Guest : If anyone has flown on flight P7421 from gatwick to Zante I would really appreciate some info on the flights and if Small Planet were not the carrier who was. Many thanks. Although our flight was to and from Santorini (not Zante) the problems with Small Planet will no doubt still have some relevance to you. See my review below.

flew small planet from gatwick to santorini. newish airbus, good crew, flights left on time both ways. had to pay £20 each for extra leg room seats on way out, but got them for free on return journey. we must have been lucky, after reading all the comments on the web.

My daughter went out last week to Corfu from gatwick with small planet which was 3 hours delayed. Already been informed it is delayed for her return by 3 hours although expecting it to be longer . Only reason we used Olympic because they would not let 17 year old book with any other company despite them being 18 when they travelled. Never again, I work with an airline as cabin crew and even I am nervous for her. Small planet are a joke. Guest : Guest : Guest : As a result of seeing the high percentage of horrendous stories on this (and other) forums regarding Small Planet and Olympic Holidays, I have just rung Olympic Customer Services regarding my serious concerns and for clarification of the situation. (We are due to fly from Gatwick to Corfu on Monday 8th July.) The CSR I spoke to fully acknowledged Olympic's awareness of the recent level of complaints and admitted the damage it was doing to the reputation of the company and even acknowledged the reported lack of service sometimes afforded by Gatwick's Servisair, on behalf of Olympic Holidays! - He was in fact very open and honest! I was told that major efforts are being employed to redress the level of service provided by Olympic, Servisair and Small Planet - and that known potential flight delays will now be notified to customers about a week in advance - and since I haven't received any such notification by now, then our flight should (?) as scheduled. I have to admit that the conversation DID reassure me to a certain extent! By the way; for anyone wishing to contact Olympic Holidays, rather than ringing any of their premium rate '0844' numbers - this landline number will get you through to them: 020 8492 6868. Hope this post may be of some help ??? [REPLY 1] Just be warned we had the same level of assurance yesterday and then less than 24hours later our flights for tomorrow have been cancelled so its no guarantee you will get off to your holiday on time, from your chosen airport and then back at the end of it. [REPLY 2 - FROM ORIGINAL POSTER] Thanks for that additional comment. I really didn't expect to be told that. Seems I was given some non-truths in my conversation with Olympic's CSR. I'm now just as concerned as before I rang !!!!!!!!! :(

Just noticed a Small Planet Boeing 737 leaving Dublin for Edinburgh under an ALITALIA code. The flight history for this aircraft seems to suggest that they have it out on lease to Alitalia. I wonder is this why they're short of planes to to operate their UK flights?

Just returned from Skiathos holiday booked with Olympic holidays, they use Small Planet Airlines and so do Monarch. We were flown out and returned by an unbranded extremely old Boeing 737 I suspect it was not Small Planet but a subleased contractor. We will not travel with Olympic or Monarch again.

Keep hassling the holiday companies to change. After the farce we had with small Planet last year, coming back from Skiathos with Sunvil Holidays, we and others said we would not use them again if they continued to charter SPA. Well, they listened, and we got back from Skiathos last night after 2 glorious weeks. Sunvil are now using Germania. Clean A319, punctual on both journeys, good legroom, a very good meal (free) both ways, free non alcoholic drinks, sweets on take off and landing, and really helpful, friendly cabin staff. Could not be more different from SPA. Roll on Sunvil again next year!

I recently flew with small planet through Olympic and they called me les than 24 hours before the flight to say due to French air strike there would be 9 hour delay ,which meant we lost a full day of our holiday, the plane we flew on was chartered through Olympic and was an old Russian gold plane and 1 hour before we landed we were informed that there was a fire on board ,ive never been so scared and on return we flew back with small planet ,a tiny slow boeing with enough legroom for a newborn baby and extremely noisy, the fact is I will never go with Olympic holidays again whilst they use small planet as they were all grounded the week we flew as they had not passed any flight tests to be allowed in uk airspace just remember to put a parachute in your hand luggage Guest : Guest : Guest : As a result of seeing the high percentage of horrendous stories on this (and other) forums regarding Small Planet and Olympic Holidays, I have just rung Olympic Customer Services regarding my serious concerns and for clarification of the situation. Some reassurance (maybe): Just returned from a week in Rhodes. Was booked to fly Small Planet LGW-RHO 26/06 departing at 10.10, returning 03/07 departing at 17.10. Checked in at Gatwick at Small Planet desk, was told 'change of operator / flight number', discovered it was now Travel Services. But!: - outbound flight left 'only' 40 minutes late, arrived only 15 minutes late - inbound flight (also Travel Services) left on time, arrived 20 minutes early Aircraft was elderly 737-800, a bit rattly but everything seemed to work. Cabin crew on both legs were friendly but somewhat slow with the refreshments, which consisted of a (free!) sandwich and soft drink. No alcohol available. Pilot announcements were largely incomprehensible, but the same goes for a lot of carriers. So I had been apprehensive, but everything turned out OK - luckily! All the delays I observed on the departure boards were TCX... Good luck all.

Guest : Guest : Just been called by Olympic Holidays, the Birmingham to Skiathos flight tomorrow (05/07) is not happening and passengers will be bussed to Manchester for a flight at 4.00ish in the afternoon. Got our money back and managed to get onto Thomson flight at 07.10 but not many seats left, also cheaper. Is your flight direct now? I noticed some of the flights were stopping for refueling. Have you had to organise and pay for your Thompson flight? Yes its direct well outbound anyway, most inbound flights make a stop for refuelling due to the short runway at Skiathos so they cant take off fully laden with fuel, and yes had to sort Thomson flight ourselves but Olympic has refuned without any problems. Seems Small Planet dont have enough aircraft for the schedule they are contracted to fly

I have phoned olympic who advise and they say they have no change to the schedule. I have also contacted the travel agent, who also advise this. They say they have no knowledge that there are any problemswith small planet!! how can this be?? surely if members of the public are aware of serious issues, then the holiday companies must be. its extremely frustrating that you cannot get an honest answer or resolution.QOUTE] Guest : Is anyone flying on 4th august gatwick to zante?p7421?

Am suppose to be flying fr om Gatwick to Zante on 18th August with Small Planet but after seeing a post on thier Facebook page wh ere they informed someone on that flight the week before it was not with them I contacted them and was told they were not operating that flight and to contact tour operator. So phone Olympic after waiting 45 minutes to speak to someone am passed to two different departments then told that Small Planet are operating that flight. So who is correct? Know that someone who is due to go on that flight this Sunday has also been to contact tour operator as Small planet are not the carrier!Instead of looking forward to a hard earned holiday am dreading it and seriously considering cancelling!

Guest : Pee : I will never ever fly SMA again, I read all the reviews prior but thought well I shall give them a try as it was at least a saving of £150 return from Gatwick to Corfu for two people, what a disgrace. delayed by over 9 hours, lack of announcements, plane grubby and old, on board was not even offered a hot drink after sitting in the airport for 12 hours, I wouldn't fly milk formula either. The plane that eventually took people from Corfu to Gatwick was the plane that flew out of Birmingham that left the Birmingham passengers waiting for the delayed plane from Gatwick, instead of arriving home at 9.00pm Monday night it was 5.00am Tuesday morning

Flew from Manchester to Preveza on 20/06/2013 and had no problems whatsoever. Plane was clean and staff were friendly and helpful. Return journey a week later was also uneventful and on time. Would definitely use SPA again.
