We have just returned on 25 june from santorini to gatwick, we had no problems with the flights either way, but it does seem that they could be on the verge of going bust. This explains the £200 flights compared to £500 with easyjet. Good luck to everyone due to fly with them. Though it does seem that the problems seem to be mainly at Birmingham.

Grand Cru are a new outfit also based in Vilnius.They have two 737-300s. SPA currently have 4 planes in the air, one English one is returning to Gatwick from Volos. This plane flew in to Gatwick this morning from Vilnius, no pic on flightradar24! The Manchester to Preveza and back was all on time both ways, this being FLH, a 22 year old plane. Last year we had to make an emergency landing at Rome on SPA whilst going to Chania, 5 hr delay whilst a new (old) plane came for us, also 11 hr delay returning. Olympic don't want passengers stranded when they go bump. Same happened with Strategic last summer. Olympic are to blame for using such obscure outfits but they do it to cut costs to the extreme. Would never book with Olympic, far better to travel with a trusted operator who own the airline so have far more control over the packages they offer. Olympic won't last very long either fr om what I hear. Samantha : We are now flying out at 15.30 tomorrow to gatwick. Just to comfirm. And we're now flying with grand cru airlines. Small planet airlines is no wh ere to be seen!

Hi, has anyone got any idea if the flight no. p 7412 due to leave Rhodes at 04.15am sunday (30/6) to come back to Gatwick is actually operating this week? My son is due to be on this flight but I can't find any information about it. They were due to fly out to Rhodes from Gatwick last sat (22/6) on p 7411 at 21.15 but when they got to the airport their flight wasn't on the board at all, it then appeared but as cancelled. They were told that they were trying to sort out a flight & were finally given a flight no. KRP2292 (still no idea who that airline was) at about 7pm, with a departure time of 10pm which was then put back to the original time of 9.15pm! They did leave at about 9.15pm on what sounds like an older plane but got there ok at least. I checked last sat and the corresponding flight number to the one they eventually went out on (KRP2291) actually landed at Gatwick from Rhodes at 18.38 on Sat 22nd, so brought people from Rhodes to Gatwick before taking my son & his friends out to Rhodes. This makes me wonder if the same happens this week will they have to miss the last day in resort to come home 12hrs earlier than they are expecting?

Hi We have cancelled our holiday, too many worries to actually enjoy the lead up to our holiday, one or two bad reviews I could bear but this many is way too many. We have lost our deposit but its worth it for peace of mind, we wont ever book Olympic again, customer service told me we would be informed in plenty of time of any changes to airports, but somehow I dont quite believe her. I have been to Thomas Cook, and they have found me two nice holidays for the same price and flying with Thomas Cook from the airport of our choice. We have been with Thomas Cook on many occasions and never had any problems, I am not naive to think I can go through life without any delays to holidays but why stay with a company that has so many problems. Guest : Really worried too! I am due to pay the balance today for my trip to Rhodes in September! Have paid £104.00 deposit already but am seriously thinking of cancelling and booking with Thomson of First Choice! Not always brilliant I know but I feel more confident that they will get me there on time and on the correct day!! Guest : Holy cow!! Really worried about our holiday in September now. Going to Skiathos from Birmingham airport with Olympic on Small Planet flight. Reading these reviews I really feel like cancelling, but have to pay the balance next week. Never had bad flights or delays in all the years of travelling but this isnt looking good, even flights transferred to other airports!!

Will do, I will be the pissed off one with three other pissed off people. I hope it's still South Terminal as my car is booked in the car park there. Probably going to be "guess the airline" when we get to check in.

If Samantha is coming back on the plane we are going out on then that means that our Gatwick Larnaca flight may have been moved back to a morning flight again. Best give Olympic a call I think. I'm just slightly confused now, I don't want to turn up at Gatwick tomorrow afternoon to find that the flight has gone!

Have just had the call from our rep, we are flying home to gatwick from larnaca an hour earlier than our scheduled flight. Bit of luck afterall. We definitely wont be using Olympic or small planet airlines again we know that for sure.

Dave Rome : John, We are on that flight as well and got the call last night from Olympic about the change. Not happy at all. No idea who we are flying with now. Got £20 each compensation from Olympic whos stressed that was better than no compensation !

Were supposed to fly tomorrow am from Gatwick to Cyprus. Told at 10.00 am flight rescheduled to 19.15 tomorrow evening arriving Sunday morning at 2 am. Thanks Small Planet and Olympic Holidays

Samantha : Thankyou for your replies. Looks like we wont be flying back to gatwick till early sunday morning then. We are still awaiting news from our Olympic rep at the moment. Fingers crossed. can you post any new information about the flights, not getting a great deal of information this end.

Fed Up : I was also on this flight from Skiathos and was just about to file a compensation claim but am now very confused as who to complain to any help would be gratefully received. We flew from Birmingham to Skiathos left June 14th was fine and no flight delays, however the airline was Entair (a polish airline). Was not too concerned but a little confused as it had Small Planet Airline on our ticket. However due to fly back on June 21st and were told day before that there would be a 7 hour delay, then later on our flight day another 2 hour delay. Olympic Rep just said there was a problem with the flight and it had been delayed coming out from UK. Eventually, got on our flight which was Small Planet. I had a chat with one of the cabin crew who told me that they do not fly from Birmingham and were never scheduled to fly from there as they only fly from Manchester. He said that the airline that is meant to fly from there is Greenjet (a new Greek airline, which appear to be having trouble getting off the ground, pardon the pun!). So Small Planet were the 'rescue' flight - he said that Olympic holidays know this and still put Small Planet on the tickets. Felt quite sorry for him as had a lot of grief from the passengers who had to get a coach from Birmingham to Manchester and basically lost a day of their holiday. Have had a look on the Internet and looks like Greenjet haven't got started, this is their website www.greenjet.gr. So in conclusion looks like Olympic Holidays are aware of this issue but choose not to tell people about it, hoping that they can get other airlines to fly from Birmingham for them.

Hi Samantha - Were you due to fly in to Birmingham Airport, arriving around 0700 hours on Sunday? My son is due back from Cyprus on this flight (Small Planet). My son's flight was cancelled (Small Planet) on Saturday 22nd. Should have flown out at 7.00 am and ended up flying at 10.15pm with Cyprus Airways. I do hope everything gets sorted for you all - not acceptable at all is it? I think we need to take things further ......... when you read the reviews on TA, these flight cancellations / delays happen most of the time.

Samatha, Olympic have told us that our flight out to Cyprus is delayed by 10 hours, this will probably be your return flight which will be early hours of sunday morning for you. I have no idea who is we are flying with now though. I will post any more updates here when I can.

We are currently in cyprus after being delayed 19 hours on the way out here last saturday (22.06)We have been told by our Olympic rep today that our flight home tomorrow from larnaca has been severely delayed if not cancelled. Therefore they are desperatly trying to put us on another flight which will either be an hour earlier from paphos or a lot lot later, possibly sunday. We are still waiting to find out. So anyone flying home from cyprus tomorrow..be prepared for a chaotic day.

We are flying from Birmingham to Zante on 4/7/2013 at 9.30 with small planet do I need to worry about my flight. I see someone had posted that they don't fly from Birmingham.

Small Planet don't fly from Birmingham see the post on 26th June - it should be Greenjet but they are not up and running apparently!! You might find you have trouble coming back too. Guest : We are due to fly to Skiathos from Birmingham on 5th July, received a letter from Olympic yesterday saying the fligh time had been put back until 11.30 but the Flight Code on the letter is the Small Planet one, just checked tomorrows Departure and the 11.30 flight has an Enter Air code. Just to let everyone in Cyprus who are due to fly back on saturday with Small Planet, Olympic holidays have just informed us that our flight will not be taking off now until 1915 from Gatwick, I reckon that's about one in the morning landing and therefore you ain't gonna get your return flight until at the earliest the early hours of Sunday morning. This after I had reassurances from SPA that our flight would be leaving at 0905 on Saturday. No chance of comp for losing a day as it's less than 10 hours or something like that! Dave

Hi,we have had our gatwick to zakynthos flight changed once by olympic,and now the new flight number,flight time etc is not recognised on the gatwick timetable..I have spoken with loveholidays several times who are not being much help at all and do not know why the flight doesn't seem to exist!Is anyone else having these same issues?

[Looking very worrying for us, we are due to fly out on 29th at 0910 in the morning to Larnaca from Gatwick, I really can't see this happening. I have emailed Olympic this morning sharing my concerns but have not heard anything back yet.

Currently in cyprus, arrived a day late on 23.06 after a 19 hour delay. Now been told by an Olympic rep that our return flights home on 29.06 are looking a little worrying. NEVER FLY WITH THIS AIRLINE. No information given to us at all. All be lucky to get home on Saturday.

We should have started our holiday on 22/06/2013 but we were delayed by 15 hours planet did not supply an aircraft we had to fly with Cyprus Airways.

I am starting to panic slightly with all the horror stories i am reading. Due to fly out 20th july to larnaca (A good while away) with a 2 & 4 year old so a long delay would not be fun! On olympic website it states small planet airline but have just spoken to Loveholidays who I booked with and they say it is russian sky airlines we are flying with. Are they the same company?

Was meant to fly with Small Plant from Gatwick to Larnaca on 22.6.13 and when we got to the airport our flight number was changed and we flew with a completely different airline and was told that Small Plant had gone bust.... On our return from Larnaca to Gatwick again with Small Plant we was told 3 hours before take off that the whole flight had been cancelled (now due to technical difficulties) I thought they had gone bust?!?! We was put up in another hotel for the night with food (but no drinks included) and had little money. Would never book with this airline again (if they are still flying)!!!!

Darren : Due to fly to Skiathos this morning from B,HAM 09.30 departure, at check in was told the flight is now going from Manchester not B,ham at 18.00hrs, Buses will be here at 08.30 then 09.00 then 09.30 Then 10.00am to transfer you all to Manchester 4 buses left about 10ish.We were told go to Manchester or lose your money. Also they could not guarantee what airport we would fly back 2, In the meantime I contacted Consumer Direct and was told different and would get a full refund as they had changed our departure airport which is classed as a major change which has been agreed today, but as nobody from Olympic/SM was at airport and there customer services don't open until 10.00am we decided not to travel with this shower, all the people who did go should look at EU denied boarding regulations, and go for compo. Anyhow managed to book another hol leaving from B,ham sat 22nd june (and not with this lot). and will just have to go to Skiathos later in year. Bit of a disaster today but hope u all got there safely and had a great time. Cheers Darren Darren: We were in Skiathos due to fly back to Birmingham on 21st June with Small Planet....Olympic actually told us on the 19th that the flight would be delayed by 7 hours (due to plane rotation) and that we would stay in the resort (no meal or drink vouchers) and be picked up around 7pm, late in the afternoon an Olympic rep called into the bar area and gave a member of staff a note for each of us saying that we would be delayed a further 2 hours and would be picked up at 9pm with flight at 1am. The Olympic rep didn't speak to anyone just dropped off the notes and ran. I had been trying to find the flight from Birmingham without any joy and a member of the bar staff said they had heard the flight was leaving from Manchester and that they were bussing the passengers from Birmingham to Manchester. We eventually landed at about 4.30am. We are going to try for compensation....it was a shambles.

Has anyone actally got anywhwere with compensation from Small Planet airlines? . I was on the 2nd June flight from gatwick to Gran Canaria delayed 21 hours. No luck from insurance company and no reply from Small Planet. Is that the end of it or has someone out there been successful? Though other oranisations could help but to no avail . Dee

I would not recommend it at all. We had to wait 22h to leave London Gatwick to get Las Palmas Airport. We were not given any information at all, no representative or the airline, finally thanks to the Gatwick Airport Manager putting pressure into the airline we managed to fly. We booked it through Avro, we thought we were flying with Monarch, we had never flown with them, when I did some research online I could only find bad reviews, which they happened to be true as we had to suffered it ourselves. We are still waiting for an apology.

Hi We had booked through HAYS travel who have been excellent regarding this matter, Hays have refunded us and are dealing with Olympic for them to get refunded, not sure how package was booked but I paid Hays, as I understand it if you thought you were booking a package hol you Jet travel have a responsibility to sort this out, See The package travel, package holiday & package tour regulation 1992.( Alteration to essential terms). We refused to travel before we got anything, but be aware it's a gamble as there is no guarantee you get refund, it sounds absolutely shocking what your going through, but don't let it spoil your hols, seek legal advice and embarrass them in the press on return, it's the only thing they don't like. Besides my sister is extremely sea sick and normally we avoid boats at all cost. The ferry journey is approx 5 1/2 hours long!!! I have checked the schedule and our flight at 16:55 this afternoon from Gatwick is already displaying as delayed. Please can you tell me, did you book your entire holiday through Olympic or through an agent and if through and agent i presume they booked your flights through Olympic, it that correct please? We have booked through an agency called Jetline Travel and because they have booked the flight through one company, the hotel through another and transfers through a third company, they are saying that we will not get any money back at all and we just have to suffer no matter what the airline throws at us. Does anyone know if this is true please as I paid one fee for an entire all inclusive holiday to Jetline Travel. It seems to me that they are just fobbing me off. They are happy to accept my money for the whole holiday but are now saying it isn't anything to do with them! Please help!!! Thank you!

Also they could not guarantee what airport we would fly back 2, In the meantime I contacted Consumer Direct and was told different and would get a full refund as they had changed our departure airport which is classed as a major change which has been agreed today, but as nobody from Olympic/SM was at airport and there customer services don't open until 10.00am we decided not to travel with this shower, all the people who did go should look at EU denied boarding regulations, and go for compo. Anyhow managed to book another hol leaving from B,ham sat 22nd june (and not with this lot). and will just have to go to Skiathos later in year. Bit of a disaster today but hope u all got there safely and had a great time. Cheers Darren
