Has anyone on the Malta flight on the 20th sept 2014 had any luck with there compensation claim yet... Has anyone started a small claim court appeal? I'm stuck and don't know what to do next... Have emailed and sent a letter to small planet but no response, have written to caa and haven't had much of a response yet. Just wondering if I should claimed off my travel insurance. Help please!

Hi, did you get a judgement against them at the County Court? you will need this to pursue them. I just got £750 compensation from them via there solicitor in Lithuania so it can be done but they will only respond to a CCJ via their solicitor. Cheers and good luck.

Guest : A relpy to MARK GOSBEE message, i tired putting in a claim with monarch who i booked my holiday though, they didnt want to know, said i had to go direct to small planet. So send a letter to small planet but still no response, plus a email-no response. What is th EU form??? Plus what evidence did you send? Anyone else had any luck... its terrible, it shouldn't be this hard to be compensated for their shitty service!!

AVOID AT ALL COSTS we had a 26hr delay with s.p. back in aug 2012 manchester to corfu , i have been fighting these companys ever since our appearance on bbc watchdog and have still had no compensation, olympicholidays.com took no response ability as also the c.a.a. we are now in the process of taking small planet to the e.u. court , there is 2 test cases in the court now regarding extraordinary circumstances results due jan 2015 , just finished further filming with the bbc regarding flight delays to be aired jan 2015 - rip off britain also coming soon there will be another programme relating to small planet airlines on r4 ,. see our page at search www.facebook.com/DelayedFlightManCorfu31aug12?fref=ts

Just to say that i had a 28 hour flight delay in October 2012, I got a flight delay compensation judgement in October 2013 and I have just received full full compensation from SPA direct into my bank account so its been worth it. Pointless trying to involve the CAA. Olympic etc etc. If you get a judgement, deal direct, that seems to bring results.

I have also written several times and had no reponse, won't even pick up the phone. I will take this as far as I can as i really don't feel it acceptable to be not responding to anyone.

This airline is appalling. 13 hour delay on 20/9 flying Gatwick to Malta. Zero information, staff hiding away. 2 emails to them, and a letter to them have not even been acknowledged - taking it now to the Civil Aviation Authority. Avoid this company if you can.

Guest : I too was on that flight to Malta which Was delayed for 13 hours. Wrote to SP both in English and Lithuanian but no reply or even acknowledgement. Contacted by phone, the travel company we booked with, Travel Republic - who completely understood our complaint and said to complete a complaint form on their website. This was done and then I received a new email from Travel Republic stating that I should contact the airline! They did give me an email address for Cosmos but we did not book with Cosmos so dont expect much help there. Airlines and travel companies seem to be in cahoots over their poor service. Yes I was also on that flight to Malta. So far 2 emails to them - one from my email address, one on their system. One letter to Poland and Lithuania. No reply, nor acknowledgement. I wrote to the CAA today, and have also contacted "Which"

I have recently started a claim through the European Courts and I am now wondering if this was the right thing to do… I have had a European Order For Payment from the court which was sent to Small Planet but I am yet to hear anything (they have till next Friday to pay). Any idea what I have to do if they don’t pay up?? Flew with SPA to Gran Canaria and back in September. I've flown on nearly airline you can think of and this was by far the best flight - comfortable, great staff, very welcoming - just a great flight all round both going there and coming back. I would definitely fly with SPA again.

Hi to all those who flew with Small Planets Airlines on Flight P7363 from London Gatwick 5.50 AM to Malta, on Saturday 20th September 2014. Has anyone sent a letter to small planets ref , 13hour delays via EU FORM.? I have sent letter of complaint to both Cosmos and Small Planet, have been told that I will hear between 28 to 56 days from date of letter, have had confirmation from Cosmos but nothing as yet from Small Planets Airline, If anyone has been successful and had a reply could you inform us, also if anyone was successful through a solicitor. reply to gosbee@talktalk.net . Just returned from Dubrovnik booked with Newmarket Travel who chartered Small Planet Airlines. Small delay of 3/4 hour going out with no hot food which was bearable. Coming back, however, we had a 5 1/2 hour delay with no information from Newmarket or Small Planet Airlines which took the gloss of our holiday week. Agree the plane was old and well worn. I have been in touch with Newmarket who incredibly have no contact details for Small Planet, a Lithuanian airline. I will avoid in future.

Eventually flew out from Oporto to Bournemouth at 1.30am! Was scheduled for 19.00. First reason was "bad weather". Then apparently "technical fault". Once on plane, pilot said "two technical faults" - one being that one of the hold doors had become "faulty" and plane had to turn back. Serious lack of communication and conflicting information. Once on flight, all ok - friendly staff and drinks were complimentary, presumably because of delay.

I was on the flight coming out to malta that day...also 13 hour delay, totally agree, small planet are rubbish and would never fly with them again or book with monarch again if they continue to use small planet airlines. Has anyone put in a complaint for compensation yet and if so...do you have some information about the time we def arrived so I can put in a claim. Just flown to Kefalonia with Small Planet Airline, I also had read all the reviews and was concerned but the flight going out left on time the cabin crew were very friendly and the aircraft was clean and fine. The flight coming back left early and again the cabin crew were friendly and helpful there was a medical emergency on board and from what i saw the cabin crew were very professional and dealt with it as best they possible could. If i book with Olympic Holidays again i most certainly wont be worried about flying Small Planet

We have just experienced Small Planet Airlines with a tour to Sicily with Newmarket Holidays, a UK company. Our departure from Exeter on 20 Sept was delayed by 1hr 40mins and the return from Catania delayed by 2hrs 30mins = a total delay of 4hrs 10mins. Having had to get to the airports in good time it is a poor reflection of a holiday that we spent more time sitting in the airports than on the included visits to Palermo, Taormina and Cefalu put together!! Both planes were well used, second or third hand. The tables and seats were filthy with ingrained dirt, several seats reclined a few notches just by sitting on them; the seats are well past any comfort date. For the return flight on 27 Sept the rear starb'd toilet was used as a store room. On both flights the crew were calm and efficient, and offered the usual snack menu for short haul flights. But before we book any further holidays we will be sure to check if Small Planet Airlines are the carrier - never again.

a couple of years ago we had a 26 hour delay with small planet slept in manchester airport caa said we were not entitled to compensation the laws they have are not fit for purpose nobody really wants to help you

My party of 4 people were also stuck in Malta airport for 13 hours. No information even about meal vouchers some other people advised us where to get them. Looking at past reviews I don't hold much hope for compensation. But hope I can find a company to claim on our behalf. Avoid this airline like the plague.

We thought we were booked on Monarch, but no it was Small Planet fr om Gatwick to Malta on 20th. Departed 13 hours late! Local SP staff conspicuous by their absence, rumour and counter rumour about what was going on. Appalling customer service. Their website is deliberately vague about wh ere to send complaints and compensation claims. The delay was compounded by waiting for an extra hour because two passengers got lost in Gatwick - but they had already been sorting the luggage as some had declined to fly after such a long delay, Sheer incompetence. Flying back with them on the 27th......wish me luck.

Not defending Small Planet, but the problems you mention with luggage and steps are the responsibility of the airport handling agents, not the airline.

Absolutely * , 13 hr delay from malta to gatwick. No information from this company whilst we waited, the Maltese staff at the airport had to pick up the * as they had no rep there. Booked through Thomas cook and ended up with this cowboys. So from me, check that you ain't booked with these, if you are change it, if I could use stronger language I would. Gaffer tape on the wing!!!! * old planes never again. Believe me I am a mild mannered person but these lot take the Micky.

Worst airline ever ! Do not even consider flying with them. We are currently waiting in Malta for flight to London and already a 10 hour delay getting longer all the time. No information or help. We thought we were booking a monarch flight - booked on monarch website and didn't realise we would be put with their 'partner airline'. A terrible experience all round. Will never ever consider them again - in addition have just seen that watchdog have previously looked into them for refusing to treat passengers properly in delays and provide due compensation. Definitely avoid !

Monarch Cosmos Olympic & co. Have used this airline for over 2years with big delays.Yet still sell you holidays without a care.Look at page 1 and you will see.Be very careful who you book with.If you complain on there Facebook page then you will be barred.They try to keep all complaints hidden.

Flight P7363 finally arrived from Gatwick to Malta only 13 hours late. My daughter has lost a whole day of her holiday. Booked with Cosmos, lets hope they drop small planet as they offer a disgusting service and their staff are rude and obnoxious.

What an atrocious airline. Currently sitting at Malta airport waiting for a plane that is 13 hours delayed due to a "technical fault" (aka can't be bothered to explain properly). Airport handling staff had no info for 5 hours, no website to check for updates, and when we finally were given times they kept moving backwards. They are obliged to supply food for long delays, but there was no hot option and what was there ran out after an hour without everybody getting a some. With still 4 hours to go before the flight leaves they have no provision for additional food either. Which I believe actually breaks EU requirements. I know they are relatively cheap but you still expect better than this when booking your holiday. Be warned! P.S. Many of the passengers actually thought they had booked Monarch, but got bumped onto this ridiculous airlines.

Flight P7363 Estimated time to land at Gatwick is 01.55 My advice for what its worth is tell each other who you booked your holiday with and NEVER book with those companies again they are shites. I will keep updating you.

After a lot of searching flight no. LLP363 is on route with ETA (CEST) 2304 hrs. Can be tracked on flightradar24.com Is now west side of Paris (1943)

My daughter has been stuck at Gatwick airport siince 3am this morning. Was taxied to the runway then had to be bused back to airport due to problem with plane. Have been waiting ever since, 13 hours later and still there is no idea of when they will take off. Very rude staff Airline manager even called security when passengers demanded to know what was going on. Disgusting service. They have now been told that £12.00 in food vouchers is sufficient compensation for the length of time they have been delayed.

My daughter and son in law were also due to fly out on this 05.50 plane, and are still stranded at LGW, with no information whatsoever. They have a young baby and are at their wits end. They are blatantly told lies about what is happening, and the staff are very rude. It is now 15.50hrs and are nearing a 12 hour delay. it is unbelievable that this airline is still operational.
