My flight from Stockholm to Dusseldorf was cancelled 1/3 2020. After filing EU 261 claim and providing passport documentation + bank details I got an email from Ryan Air 23/3 saying payment had been authorized, and that I should allow up to 28 days for the payment to be completed. Customer service does not give you any information what so ever, since apparently they are not authorized to contact claims department. Very convenient. Sort of a joke at this point. How is this legal?

Hi everyone who had a flight FR1642 from Stansted to Ukraine on the 28.09.20 at 6.45am. Does anyone with British passport was denied boarding at the gates and know the reason. And, how you been dealing with that. Thanks.

My partner and I were due to fly out to Portugal on December 13, but cancelled due to the state of emergency there. We're both pensioners who were expected to travel to a country that has Covid 19 just as bad as us. Ryanair have no heart. Their CEO is a modern Robin Hood who robs the poor to make the rich richer. Try Jet2.

I have been contacted via a comment on Facebook by people claiming to be from Ryanairs social media team who will help me with my refund. Gave them my booking ref. They now want email, passenger details, last 4 digits of my card. I refused and asked them to email me via my registered email. They say social media team cant access emails. All sounds very dodgy

Guest Caroline wood : We cannot travel abroad on Saturday 14th Nov 2020 due to lock down rules. To change to later date its a change over fee and when you put the new price its hundreds of pounds more but, when I for example do a new booking the price is the same of my original price and Ryan Air charging myself and husband double. I will never book with Ryan Air again and we are contacting national newspapers.[/QOUT We are in same boat. Our flight in November is still being run despite fact government have banned holiday travel and hence you can't get insurance so you can't go. Saw a newspaper article suggesting to take Ryanair to small claims court. Considering this as have lost nearly £500

Our fligth on 18th August 2020 was delayed by 7 hours due to a technical fault. I filled in the EU261 compensation form a few days later. After about 2 weeks I got an email from Ryanair saying they had received my claim. On the Ryanair website it says they will pay compensation within 10 days. Due to Covid 19 I obviously knew this was gonna take longer. I gave it 1 month before I contacted their customer service just to be told to wait a little longer. I gave it another 2 weeks before contacting them again. The customer agent told me I was sent an email the previous week about my claim. This was untrue. When I told him so, he fobbed me off saying he escalated the case and I should be contacted within 48h by the compensation department. Again a week later after no response I contacted them again and was told to wait at least 2 more weeks and that the case was escalated again. I still have not heard from Ryanair until today. It has been 3 months since my delayed flight now. Anyone had any similar experience since the start of the pandemic? Any suggestions how to take this further or just be patient.

I have tried to re book for my flight which is still apparently running. The website shows a flight fee of £34.99 yet when i try and change its now £81. it wont confirm either if im being charged a change fee until i confirm the booking . My flight is in 7days . So until i click confirm i dont know what i will be charged. probably more than the original flight. Surely this is wrong as we cannot go or face a fine of £200 . Has anyone had their flight cancelled as yet?

Been trying for a refund for 6 weeks for a flight cancelled by Ryanair. They sent e mail offering voucher which I refused and opted for cash refund. I have written several e mails which I have had no response se to at all. Even tried filling the on line refund form in which when I complete ad go to submit a message comes up saying not able to process yet again later. Now very frustrated as the booking was for myself and two other people who are wanting their money back!!

If Ryanair say they do not recognise the information you submitted its probably because you booked with a travel agent and that agent created a fictitious e-mail address for you....a so-called screen scraper. They do this to try and prevent you from having direct contact with airlines. Having said that, the travel agent is obliged to tell you what e-mail address they used for you. Try and find it among the correspondence with the agent and resubmit your request to Ryanair quoting that fictitious address

British Airways has cancelled all flights to Pisa, Italy, for December (and November) 2020. I am considering Ryanair for Christmas tickets. I saw that if I book for December and then I need to change (for example because I need to quarantine once in Italy) I need to pay change fee for booking a new flight for the future. Do you know what happens if it is Ryanair who cancels the flights? Do they offer a refund or only vouchers? Thanks.

I received an email last night (5/10/20) informing me that my return flight on 23/10 has been cancelled. Ryanair blamed the Government and covid for this. However, this appears as the only flight cancelled, with others going from and to the same destinations a couple of days either side of this date. And a flight going to another London airport an hour later. It is my opinion that Ryanair are using the current situation to remove unprofitable flights if they appear the flight will not become fully booked. They also did this outside of the compensation date to avoid these extra costs. I've always had the utmost respect for Ryanair, but this is too underhanded to forgive.

I have incorrectly only requested the refund on the cancelled flight , where I should have requested the on-line refund application for both flights connected to the booking. The systems tells me that there has already been an application submitted and the site highlights that there can only be one on-line refund application per booking . Is there another route to successfully requesting both flights as per the initial option ?

Hi I'm not been on one these forums before and I am just looking for some advice. Have flights booked for December to go to Poland, at the moment with the situation here and in Poland who knows what will happen. However, I wondered if maybe I was to call Ryanair and ask for vouchers instead of a refund if were to cancel, so then at least if it does all go ahead I'd be able to rebook using the voucher? Anyone got any ideas about vouchers or been in a similar situation? Thanks anyway! :)

Indicated my refusal to accept vouchers. 2) Booked return Dublin to Porto for Sept. Again Ryanair cancelled the flight, offering us a flight the previous day. I demanded a refund, not a voucher. Asked for refund , not voucher, and finally today I chased it up as still not had it, and had to yet AGAIN submit another form for a refund after going round and round looking for someone to speak to or web chat. The plane that we are due to be boarding has been diverted to a different city, we (the out bound passangers) have no information as the departure time on the board keeps getting later and no staff are on the desk. At what point do we try to leave the section of the airport after the passport control and go in search of answers.

No one responds to emails, there chat thing on their site is just an automated response as well. How long is too long to wait

Booked for Spain in April ,flights cancelled , applied for refund through a travel agent which was paid out in midd July . I booked direct with Ryanair for extra baggage and pre- booked seats and have tried to apply for a refund . I have been on line with the online live chat on 6 occasions which has taken up over 8 hrs . I was told by one operative on the 25 July I would be paid within a week , never happened. How can I get my money back ,paid by debit card and not sure if I could go through the bank .

Does anyone know how late Ryanair give notice of cancellations. Could it be as little as a couple of days before?

Same here. I will never fly with Ryanair again. I cant believe that more hasnt been made of this is the press. Surely we have rights?? Tash : Wow youve excelled yourself in customer service Ryanair!! NOT! Due to fly to Spain, I already knew I wouldnt get a refund but rang to discuss my options. I told the advisor how I will not be able to fly as I will not be able to get travel insurance if I go against gov. Guidelines so what can I do? Was told the flight will still be in operation so if Im not on the flight I will be classed as a no show and loose my money! I said thats not an option as it is ridiculous to travel with no insurance was told the only option is to rebook (cant give me a voucher) Im not able to rebook as no annual leave at work. Transferred me to a manager who told me point blank well lots of people go without travel insurance I told him that answer was ridiculous. He then told me point blank there is nothing Ryanair will do you will lose the money for the flight. He then said all you can do is rebook- I explained I cant rebook and this flight was booked in feb before Covid even existed- he then told me because it was booked pre Covid Im actually not able to change the booking for free!! Cherry on the cake! So because I havent booked a holiday DURING the pandemic I cant have the change fee waivered! I cannot believe Ryanair are being allowed to do this to their customers! Disgraceful!
