You won't be able 2 sort it ur self ryanair will have 2 enter the 16 year old in manually, unless u booked through ryanair direct they might have another way round it, I booked through sunmasters and they sorted it for me the next day.. Not sure why it's all 16 years olds mark : Guest : I'm also trying to check in a 16 yr old on line & not able to click on year of birth. Can anybody help?can you tell me what the solution was as i cant check in my 16 year old daughter either

Hi for the problem with 16 year old no one seems 2 be answering this question, I contacted the company I booked my holiday with and they sorted the issue within hours, they contacted Ryanair direct for me. I have to enter all the details of my party going except my 16 year old as it won't allow me 2 put in her date of birth so due to this ryanair has allocated us all seats and the 16 year old will be entered in manually and will receive her boarding pass at the airport.. Hope all the others with the same problem get it sorted :-)

Hi it will be fine contact ryanair if u booked direct with them, I contacted the company I booked with and they got it sorted they will have 2 enter her details manually at the airport so they will provide the boarding pass for her. Just noticed u leave today hope you got it sorted :-) Guest : Has anyone on here resolved their booking in date of births for 16 year olds, i am also having the same problem, but mine is slightly different as ive booked 3 16 year old boys in as masters and not adults, so cant enter their dob and i go on holiday this monday.

Simply the worst airline I ever had the disgrace to fly with. Forced to pay 70 eu for exhibiting my boarding pass on a tablet instead of having it printed on paper. Yet another scam to suck you dry. Both flights we had to wait inside the plane for about 2 hours before taking off, with no explanation from the crew. It was about 40 degrees celsius on a hot summer day and clearly the air conditioning was off in order to save money. Never, never again with Ryainair.

My manage my booking experience was a nightmare as when I got to the allocated seating part and clicked on free seat for all of my family it wouldn't go any further. I tried several times and this happened. As I needed to get through this allocation to get boarding passes I ended up paying £40 additional costs to buy seats at £10 each or possibly loose more money and or my flights not providing boarding passes. I'm so cross it's my first holiday in. 7 years after long term health issues and operations. I also don't understand how I'm meant to book my free return seats as nothing is explained well. I'm travelling alone with my children one who has never flown and I'm really anxious as I feel misinformed and it's hard to get a real person to talk to you all email or expensive calls that get you no where Anne

I'm having major trouble with ryanair check in. I've paid for allocate seats before I've checked in and now I'm getting stuck because whilst the system recognises I've paid for the allocated seats (right hand side of check in screen) it's still asking me to allocate my seats!! I can't get past the screen! Anyone else had this?

David Russell : What part of 'pay for the privilege of checking in for the return flight for a 2 week holiday' is not meant to infuriate people? Its a short flight. I don't care where I sit, but I am forced to pay another €20 (2x10) for allocated seating so that I c an check in before I leave. This is the final straw for me. Aer Lingus are more expensive but so much friendlier and so much less hassle. One doesn't start a holiday in the right mood with Ryanairs dictatorial terms of business.

When I flew at Christmas, I had to enter my passport number etc..., but this time it has gone straight to me printing the boarding pass without me entering anything. Anyone had the same thing? I traveled home from Murcia on Wednesday night into Dublin. We were happy enough with the flight, but the back of the plain were we were seated was freezing. A few people complained and they turned the heating up. My main issue that is really making me so * and disappointed was, that the Ryanair staff are so untrust worthy. As I was accompanying my mother (who is in a wheelchair) on and off the plain. This means we were the last off the plain I know there was no one left behind other than the cabin crew. I had my purse out to pay for food on the plain and I had a Spare seat beside me. As I was handed the two tea and food I set my purse on the empty seat beside me. I got the food and things sorted for my mum and myself but I forgot to put the purse back in my bag. We landed and I got my mother and her things sorted for getting of. I grabbed my bag and case and followed her into the ambulance lift. We were through the arrival area when I went to get my purse to get a drink and remembered I had left it on the seat. I went straight to staff who sent me to the airport police who would only talk to me through a phone on the outside of the door so I couldn't make a report so I could claim from my insurance. I was told to go to the Ryanair lost and found. They were nowhere to be found but I did get through to some foreign lady who said she would send someone to the plain to get it as I couldn't come back through. I was told to ring back in ten min which I did to be told I hadn't give them enough time leave it for another fifteen min. I told her we were the last on the plain the seat number and discription of the purse and I knew exactly were I had left it. So I rang back fifteen min later to be told the person could not find it. She gave me another number to ring the next day to see if the cleaners had handed it in. It still has not been found / handed in. I have rang a few times every day since as it had all my cards driving license which means they have my details, and a right bite of cash. I could understand if there had been other people on the plain but it was only staff and I know were the purse was. It was not lost I just forgot to lift it. I am so disappointed in how untrust worthy they are so disappointed in people who are supposed to be there to help. Shame on them.

Does anyone know the answer to this question please? We have a group booking of 8 people including 1 item of sports equipment allocated to each passenger. One lad has dropped out. We have a replacement but want to avoid paying for another lot of sports baggage so he intends to book the flight separately. can we still take all 8 sports equipment as paid for if one person doesn't turn up for the flight? Thanks in advance

Same has just happened to me - really hacked off I fly on the 27 may - 5 days time- hope printer doesn't pack up - I am in Spain. Zanx : It's changed now, it's not 7 days, it's anywhere BETWEEN 7 days and 2 hours that you are permitted to print off your boarding pass. So technically you could be on the bus to the airport when you are granted permission to print your boarding pass, upbut you don't have a printer, so you'll have to pay Ryanair £70 to print one for you. I sent a complaint via email and got a standard cut and paste answer repeating back at me what I'd just pointed out in the email. The owner of Ryanair in today's City AM magazine pointed out that it was time to stop "pissing off" it's customers, really?

never again will I fly with Ryanair until they have done away with this ridiculous 7 day check in rule! WTF!!. What does this mean for folk? Well if like me your trip is lasting longer than a week you cannot now print off your return journeys before you travel. Oh you can? you just have to pay extra for allocated seats!!?? Another brilliant scam by them, well done Micheal , nice one! So this means like me you will have to locate an internet café whilst on your holidays or pay 70 euros return at the airport. So basically for your return journey you are been blackmailed into paying the extra cash(10 euros per seat I think) or just hope you can find a computer WITH a printer while you on your holiday. Good luck everybody and have a nice trip.

It is very mean of Ryanair to promise check-in 30 days before the flight, then ask me to give them a lot of information (such as passport numbers, brithdays, expiry dates, etc., for all passengers), and only after that say that I must pay for the choice of seats. As result I wasted lots of time needlessly and feel cheated; they put me in a situation where I must either * my time or pay for something I did not plan to.

The 7 day free seat allocation is ridiculous! People won't always be able to get to an internet cafe, even so, one with a printer. So what do they do?! They have to pay for the seats beforehand! So it is more money! Why don't Ryanair charge more instead of hitting people with this extra expense?! Not everyone wants or can pay for seats. I guarantee you that most people would say they do want a free seat. Ryanair are using marketing tactics to get you to part with more money! When you go in to check in online, as you normally do, low and behold you can't print out your pass because, if you want a free seat, you have to wait until 7 days before the flight!! This allows those who want to buy seats, the priority, the choice of where they want to sit. Some include priority boarding. Soon we wiill be paying for all of the seats as well as boarding, but for now Ryanair is close to this and mark my words it will happen!!

Appalling customer services. Put in baggage claim. Brand new suitcase which had been covered in black ink and scribbled all over with a biro. Booked and paid for priority seat, bought this case as it was ryainair compliant but was forced to put it in the hold. Got a reference number at the airport from ryanair to log the claim but ryanair said no claim submitted (had to call the special assistance line to get to speak to someone) and all she could do was email customer service but they have not replied and I dont expect them to. Wont be using ryanair again not they care. Flown twice with them in the last 6 months and against my better judgement flew with them again only to have this happen.

Regarding the 7 days 2 hours allowance before booking a Free not allocated seat: Ryanair still won't allow me to book today which is the 7th day before my flight. I wonder if it will allow me at all and if I will have now to try to check in every day before I leave..stressful This company should be banned from operate, soo dodgy. Don't understand how it is do widespread across Europe, it's a shame that sometimes there are no other alternatives unless you spend 200 quid more.

A ridiculous scam airline. I will not be using them again anytime soon. the whole experience was nothing but stress. Booking wasn't enjoyable, lots of costly traps THEY have deliberately laid; printing off documents is made all the harder as you cant print at the tie of booking and then only 7 days before departure. The military process with hand baggage size was ridiculous. I was left in a panic attack as I thought I would get the £100 fine like some in front of me. It was awful and ruined my holiday. If you add baggage after the initial booking it doubles in price etc etc etc. The list of pitfalls is endless. But if you have small hand baggage, get savvy with all the traps and don't take hold luggage it can save a few quid. It can also cost you a lot more with ONE error. Not worth the risk or the stress for me. I personally find flying stressful enough without all the hassle that Ryanscare gave me. I'm out!

Dodgy owner, dodgy airline. Its not so cheap either. Beware of being hit very hard with punitive baggage costs or if you don't PRINT your boarding card you be hit with eye watering costs! It's designed to trip up the innocent. BEWARE. the airline has a very low reputation among pilots I have spoken too for its safety or lack of it! Booking is a pain. You have to go through so many hoops wasting a lot of time before you can find out the cost of your flight. USE WITH CAUTION!

Guest : FLYING RYANAIR IS BAD FOR YOUR HEALTH. PAY THE EXTRA MONEY FOR A BETTER QUALITY FLIGHT.THE EXTRA COST FOR THE FLIGHT TOTALLY OUTWEIGHS THE STRESS LEVELS YOU WILL ENDURE FROM THE MOMENT YOU BOOK ON LINE ABIDE BY THE RIDICULOUS RULES AND QUEUE UO LIKE CATTLE WORRYIONG THAT YOUR BAG MIGHT NOT FIT ON BOARD.PLEASE DONT BOTHER WITH THIS COMPANY UNLESS OF COURSE SAVING A COUPLE OF QUID IS BETTER THAN YOUR PERSONAL WELL BEING.YOU DECIDE. With you there, flying with Ryanair for the first time this July. I can't believe the amount of stress with hand baggage sizes (having to buy new because of the scam they run by not accepting hand baggage of a size that every other airline accept), knowing whether we'll be able to print out return boarding passes at our resort because of the riduculous seven day rule (mmm...another scam) and appalling levels of customer service people receive. I have already vowed never to book any holiday involving flights with them and, after talking with my travel agent, apparently I'm not alone. It's a coming thing they are hearing lately.
